Great place for happy hour. I stopped by Buckhead Tavern for a drink with my blogger friends. Their cocktail menu looks really good. But it was a margarita on the rocks kind of day for me so that's what I wanted. It was so good! Hit the spot head the on! This place offers a variety of appetizers and bar favorites. The fried shrimp and quesadillas were very good. I saw the sliders and wanted a bite but didn't get a chance. I was really there for drinks and had to run. I'm coming back for their hand cut steaks next time.

My niece and I were in Atlanta shopping and popped in here to have lunch and catch the Auburn-LSU game (which was definitely not worth reviewing). There was a sign out front that announced that the place is under new management. We were initially the only customers, but then it was 3:00 PM. On the other hand, it is promoted as a sports bar and people did trickle in over the next 90 minutes or so. The food is typical tavern food. We ordered chips and salsa and nachos to start and my niece had the buffalo chicken wrap. I had the wedge salad. It was ok...but not compelling enough to ensure a repeat visit.

Came by for an NC State Alumni Association get together to watch the game against LSU (Go Pack!). Our waitress, Christina (sp?) was great! So attentive and patient. Really loved her energy and enthusiasm. The shrimp appetizer was also really delicious with a little heat in the sauce. The salmon was ok but I prefer it to be well done and this one was more on the medium side. I felt like I was having sushi. The potatoes were delicious, they took the spotlight on this plate. Hopefully the next time I visit the food will be up to par but it was about a C this time around.

I have been here twice. It is a nice concise square bar area. A nice, even if relatively basic mix of draft beers which included Sweetwater and Goose Island IPA. What I like most about this place is they have one of the largest Sports Bar TVs out there. I came here once to watch some of a Hawks game, and then another time to watch the Super Bowl. Again, the large TV, and I think it may be smoke free, helps to set it apart from from its more rowdy competition down the way, The Elbow Room.

I have yet to actually eat a whole meal here but have been here on two occasions. There is public self parking and valet. The place is extremely clean and niceley designed. They have live music often....I know for sure on Saturdays. The bartenders are really nice and so are the chefs. For the St. patty's pub crawl they brought us breakfast egg rolls that were fried to perfection and had a nice spicy flavor. The space was nice...the bar was pretty large and there were plenty of TVs. I guess I would describe this as a nice sports bar/ lounge. I will update this review on my next visit.

In one sentence: I was less than impressed with Buckhead Tavern. I might give Buckhead Tavern another shot since I went when they were still fairly new. However, my overall experience was not good. The services was extremely slow (especially for drinks) and overall disappointing. The waiter was extremely unknowledgeable about the menu and was even rude with answering a question my friend asked. The food was fine (but not great). A few positive notes: we were there with a group and they were accommodating and did take reservations. The cocktails were also quite yummy. However, at this time, I would really only recommend as a place to grab drinks.

Really loving this place! They have great specialty cocktails with fresh fruit and market ingredients and a great selection of beers. The food is also a huge upgrade from greasy bar food. They have a ton of salads and offer great vegetable sides but they also have delicious burger on holeman and finch bread. The location is nice with parking and I've never had any trouble finding a spot. Every Time I've been here the live music is also amazing. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area looking for something nice but with a casual flare.

I have literally been here every other day their food is great and fresh!! Im a great cook at home and a bartender/server therefore I am a service and food connoisseur!! I am very serious about both although i have understanding thus being in the industry..... I can tell fresh from can or bottle and they clearly have an actual kitchen crew because it takes skills to be able to tell the difference and critique what you cook. This includes presentation which has been great as well. I recommend this place clearly thats what keeps me comming back. Service has been great as well if they have someone bringing them down I wouldnt know because I usually always have Tim and hes great!

The food was good but it could NOT outweigh the service! 20 minutes to get a drink is unacceptable!!! Waitstaff was rude and didn't seem to care.

My wife and I have now been here several times. We love it! Casual vibe. Good TV's. Good food. Good crowd that somehow manages to mix young, old, etc. Owned by Johnny's Hideaway guy!

Nice new place in Buckhead. The food was surprisingly good. I was expecting boring bar food, but everything we had was delicious and pretty high quality. I got two fish tacos - they were having a $2 taco night. Excellent pieces of fish, lightly battered and fried. Not greasy at all. Wasn't too impressed by the beer menu though. For a "tavern" they had a poor selection of beers on tap. If they had a better selection I'd certainly give them more stars. It would be nice to see some more local beers on their list too. Staff was friendly and very good. We sat outside, which was a bit noisy from the street traffic and you get some smoke from the hookah bar next door - but otherwise on a nice evening it was great to be outside.

Loved this new spot! The fries are the best fries I've ever had!! The truffle mac and cheese & the tuna nikkei were delicious. The service was my favorite, kindest people!!!! They have free valet in the back, and it's new but definitely going to be coming regularly.

Walked in just to use the restroom it was about 2 or 3 PM and there were only a few people sitting at the bar. Decided to have a glaas of wine. The bartender Tim was extremely friendly and accommodating and even gave me a few samples of wine to try. Ended up ordering the kale salad which was really good. Ordered a half size and it was the perfect amount. The environment is really classy and comfortable. Tim is very very nice and I would return just to sit at his bar! Sadly I didn't have a large appetite, would have loved to try other things on their menu. Going to make a trip back for dinner soon!

Fabulous! I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was here. I was not expecting this venue to impress me as much as it did. Atlanta has many great restaurants and Buckhead Tavern is definitely joining the ranks. Do not miss out. I would have gone back the next day for the tuna app had I not been traveling home the next day. Buckhead Tavern is definitely on my top list of atl restaurants. Can't wait to get back.

How can an establishment agree that an out of town sports radio show broadcast from their bar for 3 hours and not be prepared? Well, Buckhead Tavern was totally unprepared for the University of Louisville fans showing up at 3 pm for the radio show on 9/4/15. There were 2 bartenders and no servers. They couldn't keep up with beverages or food orders. The food was not good. My quesadilla was a tiny amount of cheese put between tortilla shells. My burger was good but the sweet potato fries were removed from the fryer many minutes before they should have been removed. They were not edible. My husband had the nachos with chicken and they were the worst nachos ever. I guess Buckhead Tavern didn't care about us since we were from out of town. Good news for us is that we had come to Buckhead the day before and had a delightful experience at Coast Seafood and Raw Bar for drinks, appetizers and dinner the night before. So, we know that there are establishments in Buckhead who welcome out of town guests with great product and service.

So far we have been here 5-6 times. This s much more then a local pub and should be considered a destination They are consistently on point. The Menu is diverse, the food is fresh and tasty and the service is above par. A few of the dishes we have been pleased with are the pastrami sandwich, A full and robust dish on classic bread. The grilled pork was cooked to perfection. The choice of juicy burgers is diverse and this place could become famous just for them......and of course the hand crafted cooked to perfection and lightly seasoned fries are perfect every time. You cant help but leave happy after all the smiling faces, and on point service. reasonably priced/good value

New spot in Buckhead. Captain Ron is the best. They have self park and also free valet parking in the back! Great food and excellent service. The tuna nikkei and truffle mac & cheese are both delicious. Will definitely be back!

Do not go for the food. Took an hour to get a burger, fries cold. Also ordered shrimp bang bang, kitchen unfamiliar with menu, not presented as stated. Beer good! Cute waitress......
