Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Brio is definitely a good restaurant. However, today was not a good experience. There are a few things that went wrong but... the GREAT thing is that the manager fixed the issue. He corrected my food and offered me a free dessert. He was very nice and I appreciated his efforts. This is the only time that I experienced an issue with my service from this restaurant. I have been to this location several times.

I was there three times and always had a pleasant experience with food and service.

Quack Quack Quack Quack...These are the main sounds I remember from dinner on the patio at Brio. It was a very strange experience attempting to enjoy a meal when the wait staff is constantly chasing ducks away from tables. I would have to say, this was a bit of a mood killer. As for the food...it was, well, not memorable. It also didn't have the best service. I'd have to say, I won't be coming back anytime soon.

Great Cheese Cake and small desserts fine service too

We found Brio after doing a Yelp search for restaurants in the area near Perimeter Mall. It was our second choice because of the 3 star rating, but after we ended up in their parking lot (while trying to get to our first choice) my family and I decided to go for it. We couldn't have made a better choice. All of the elements that make up a great dining experience came together, and this made for a perfect lunch outing. The food was delicious, the setting was perfect, and our server was very helpful and professional. The first thing that stood out to us was the lake that surrounded this restaurant. There was a beautiful fountain and lots of geese and ducks. My kids really enjoyed this. The setting was quiet, very relaxed, and reminded me of a place that I dined at while on a beach vacation. The restaurant itself was large. There were lots of window seats that overlooked the water, and the outdoor dining area. There was also an open kitchen, so you could watch as your meal is being prepared. The second thing that impressed us was the food. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My daughter (age 5) decided on the Ravioli with Alfredo sauce, and she finished her food before anyone else. She couldn't stop ranting about how "good" her food was. The penne pasta was a big hit with my 3 year old also. My husband chose to go with the Lobster and Shrimp Ravioli. While it wasn't what he expected, it was a very pleasant surprise. He ate everything on his plate, and then finished it off by using bread to sop up the leftover sauce. More than a decade together, and I've never seen him do anything like this! I opted for the Lobster and Shrimp Fettuccine which was nothing short of perfect! There were mushrooms, shrimp, green onions, tomatoes, and chunks of lobster in a lobster butter sauce, served over fettuccine noodles. This dish had attitude! It was nothing like the boring Alfredo sauce lobster and shrimp pastas I've had at other restaurants. I ordered the "Chop" salad to accompany my pasta & it was delicious as well. We moved outside for dessert. My husband, and I nibbled at the Caramel Mascarpone Cheesecake while the kids fed the geese. The cheesecake was tasty, I'd give it an 8 out of 10. Decadent, but it didn't blow me away. Brio Tuscan Grille is a winner in my book. I highly recommend visiting them, and bring your kids! My family and I had an amazing time.

My wife and I love Brio. I'd say it's our favorite restaurant, and our constant top choice for a date night. First off, the appetizers. The calamari is delicious, can't go wrong there. Lately, we have tried their bruschetta appetizers. Also delicious. Our favorite has been the tomato paste with bacon (could be wrong on the correct wording). Now for the good stuff... The entrees that we normally order are the Filet cooked rare for me, and the pasta a la vodka for my wife. Both are simply perfection. The filet is always cooked rare to perfection, and oh so tender and full of flavor. It comes with mashed potatoes that are delicious, and grilled veggies that are tasteful. The pasta a la vodka is a must try here. The vodka sauce is second to none, cannot be replicated (we've tried, ha!). Slightly spicy, and full of flavor. The only reason I have rated them 4 out of 5 stars is the hit or miss service. I work in customer service myself, and I'm self-admittedly tough to please. However, we've had some of the worst service I've ever received anywhere here! This lack of service has been better in the last year or so, and it seems as if that trend will continue. Please go try Brio. I always tell people if it's not your favorite Italian, it's because you haven't tried it yet!

Completely unimpressed with my experience. My negative experience started with the valet who was overwhelmed and was barking orders at people who were waiting to drop or pick their car off. I mentioned this to the hostess who responded "he's always nice to us". Huh? My next negative was bread crumbs all over the table and chair where we were seated. Perhaps there was a flock of birds dining at that table prior to me? Third negative was our entrees being delivered and literally dumped off on the edges of the table. Why you ask? Well that was because we had just started our salads! And the final negative was when I mentioned this to the manager who replied "what would you like me to do"? Sheeeesh, I rarely write a negative review but this place was amazing in the worst possible ways. I sincerely doubt that I would ever go back. (OK, I can't help myself, I always feel compelled to say something positive... the food was good, but I couldn't enjoy it because the rest of the horrid service had put me in a bad mood!)

Overall the food was good; although my Carbonara was a tad on the salty side. My mom ordered a martini on the rocks and it was served with a LIME; wtf with that? Also, it seemed watered down. The main complaint was the CHAIRS they were so slippery we had to brace ourselves around the table legs to keep from slipping down. I can't explain it, it was so weird and when I mentioned it to my mom she said "me too"! The chairs had vinyl seats, they really need to address this, it put a damper on our entire meal.

We came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner on a Friday evening. We were given two areas: the outdoor patio area and a private dining room inside. The outdoor patio is very nice, just steps from the bar with bocce ball for entertainment, a pond with ducks, and both high and low tables for everyone to relax. We enjoyed several appetizers outside, all were delicious. On to dinner! For our first course, we were served Caesar salads and they were fresh, delicious, and had just the right amount of delicious dressing. I chose the Tuscan Grilled Pork Chops for my main and boy, was it an overwhelming amount of food! Two large pork chops, mashed potatoes, and veggies. All were very good! Our meal ended with Dolchinos in Milk Chocolate Caramel Cake and Tiramisu. The Milk Chocolate Caramel Cake was my favorite--light and delicious! I tried two different drinks that evening: White Peach Sangria and the Bellini. Hands down, go with the Bellini. It's frozen and very refreshing!

A quick after work gathering brought me here. I anticipated enjoying the Happy Hour menu but that was only at the bar and since we had a large party we decided to get a table. I was kind of undecided on what to eat but glad I chose the Salmon. It had the perfect amount of seasoning that I ate every bite and washed it down with a delicious mixed drink whose name escapes me now. This was my first visit, although I enjoyed my meal there was nothing extra special about the place. The prices are a bit higher than Olive Garden but reminds me of it just the same. Who knows maybe I'm missing something and a second chance will do me good but for right now I'm not that impressed.

This resturant gets a big "Thumbs Down" for large/private gatherings. A week ago they ruined my Son and Daughter-in-Law's Rehearsal Dinner. The food was fair (not as good as when we had lunch there to plan the event). The real problem was that they really dropped the ball in terms of coordinating and staffing. (Even after we visited and spoke with both the Event Coordinator and the Manager twice, and spoke with the Manager again the afternoon of the dinner) Because the Event Coordinator went on vacation without communicating details from our last meeting and the Manager "assumed" they had the situation under control problems started as soon as our guests arrived. 1) The room was not properly set up 2) No one was prepared to take our guests drink orders for 15 minutes after arrival and the Beer and wine was not set up as planned. The manager did not even know what wines we had arranged for. Our guests eventually went to the bar to get drinks because they were not being waited on. 3) The Manager scrambled to find two servers to handle or party of 35 (while also covering tables in the resturant. In spite of their very hard work these two young ladies could not keep up. They were gracious when we commented about the spot the Manager put them in and deserve credit for that. 4) Due to all of the problems the manager (without my asking) eliminated the automatic gratuity of 18%. I thought "great, you want me to screw the two servers who are working hard to save the evening because of your lack of attention to detail". I would not, and tipped them as I should have. To his credit, the Manager did give us a gift certificate which we will give to the kids after their Honeymoon! Once the Manager and Event Coordinator are replaced this Resturant may get turned around. Until then I would not plan any events there.

Came back here for a birthday brunch for a friend (in fact the same friend I went with the last review I wrote. So as you can see she likes this place lol). We had about 6 people with us. The servers were attentive and very nice. I had the french toast stuffed with cream cheese with berries and bacon). It was great. I couldn't even eat it all. I had one piece left and yes, I did ask for a to go box for that one piece lol! On top of all that, My sister brought a white chocolate birthday cake. So I'm pretty sure I have diabetes now lol. The servers were so good to us, we had to share the cake. They were also very nice to take beaucoup pictures of us for the celebration when asked. All in all, a very classy establishment. I think I enjoyed this experience better than my last one. If I'm in the area, I'd come back!

My family and I have been eating at Brio for yrs, use to be outstanding, now it's horriable, service bad, they cut down you have to beg for extra salad dressing just not same but too expensive, only thing I like is astmosphere, but food sucks!
(1)Matt G.
Good food, but that's about it. Took forever to receive our drinks, which we had to order twice. Took forever just to get salads. Took forever to get water refills, and only upon request, even though glasses were empty. Despite decent food, just absolutely awful, sloppy service. Asked for crushed red pepper for pasta, and it came after meal was finished. Do yourself a favor and don't eat here

I had a business meal today with an important client whose offices are less than 2 blocks from Brio. They said it is one of their favorite places. As a result, we made this our meeting location. The food and service was fantastic! Alante (spelling?) was our server and I ate two cups of soup becaus it was so good (lobster bisque and cream of broccoli). My burger was super! As were the panini my clients ordered and the pasta my business team mate ordered. Nice job Brio in a business lunch well served! You are an instant favorite of mine.

A bud and I have been trying to find new places to try lately, and I drove by this place one afternoon after picking up a gift, and thought it would be a cute place for us to try :) The lake view was one option that really had me wanting to take him here. We came here during lunch and we opted to sit outside. They had ample amount of shade so the sun wasn't a big worry for it. We were quite surprised to see we had company. There were ducks and ducklings all around us. They were quite cute, although, it made me afraid that someone or something would step on them. He ordered the Sausage Peperonata Pomodoro and I ordered the Pasta Peso. We had lunch where we both had pasta a few weeks prior and that experience wasn't so grand, so when he found out this place was italian, he was a bit taken back cause of our first experience elsewhere. However, once he bit into his dish, he was sold. Likewise for me. Which makes it odd to see some bad reviews for this place because we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Parking was a bit of an inconvenience but we chose to self park instead of valet. Overall, we had a great time.
(4)Meredith A.
The food was awful. I had the sweet potato chicken risotto which had an aluminum, canned taste.... And bit into a bone which nearly broke my tooth. I told the waiter about the bone and taste - his response was simply "oh yeah? Sorry- they use pulled chicken which has bones." No credit, no real apology, after only eating two bites. I ate some of my husband's lasagna instead which was more of a soupy mess of noodles and cheese rather than good baked lasagna. Ick. Only redeeming factor was sitting outside in nice weather... Though that was ruined by ducks that literally pecked our legs hoping to get food. I suppose they served decent wine- hard to mess that up! $80 later and hungry for decent food.

Customer Service can either make or break a restaurant and that's the 2 stars for Brio. I went to Brio on a Wednesday night for my birthday and had a reservation for 8pm. They didn't seat us until 8:20pm simply because the one table that could seat 7 people was still occupied by another party. While the hostesses offered us a drink while we waited it still didn't make sense why they couldn't have pushed two tables together to accommodate us and not wait 20 minutes to be seated. When we were finally seated the restaurant wasn't full at all which really didn't make my group the happiest. We had two waiters but only one really helped our table. The table was never cleared of dirty dishes once we finished our bread and drinks. Then our food was brought out and the table and dinner was simply a cluttered experience. The two stars is for the food because it tasted good, but the portion sizes are small for the hefty price. This would not be a first choice for my birthday dinner again.

I went to Brio for my friend's 25th birthday. The staff was really nice and friendly. The Arnold palmer was one of best I have ever had. I ordered the campanelle carbonara. It was okay. I have had better Alfredo. The pricing was a little too steep for the lack of taste it offered. It is a nice place for a date, dim lights, candle light, very elegant.

So many mixed reviews about this place, but I was honestly impressed. This location is right across from where I work, so when my coworkers and I were ready for lunch, we just walked right to it. Needless to say, we didn't experience the parking issues so many other people did. We had reservations for 12:45, and were seated after about 10 minutes because it seemed the people in front of us had reservations that weren't found and the staff scrambled around. The restaurant was pretty empty at that time; just a few groups of people and older people who appeared to be on dates. While it did take a little while to order, when the food finally arrived, it was very good. All around me, my coworkers received huge servings of food. The salad, fish dishes, and other pasta dishes seemed to be amble. The Pesto Pasta I got was much smaller, in comparison. I wasn't too disappointed, though, because it was around $12 while most everyone else had $15+ food. It was odd that there didn't seem to be any pesto, but perhaps it was more of an Italian pesto they had added, rather than the Americanized version I'm used to eating. I liked that they even provided a spoon and fork, which is much more of an authentic Italian way of eating pasta. The flavor of the pasta and chicken was excellent! It seems a lot of people who rated this place poorly were at least in agreement about the taste of the food. While the price is a little steeper than I'm used to paying, at least the food was relatively well portioned and had excellent flavor to it. The wait staff was courteous and accommodating to our party of 8, and they made sure to come around frequently with drink re-fills. I would have like a little more bread at the beginning, only since I was famished and ate the two small pieces pretty quickly. That being said, there seemed to be lovely seating outside that was available and this seems more of a date place or a coworkers luncheon type place. Not sure if I would ever visit here otherwise, but it was a nice change of scenery from the places I usually frequent.

Overall really good service, excellent crab soup and amazing "Torta de chocolate" dessert.
(5)Heidi S.
Busy place at 6 on a Saturday evening. We were promptly greeted and shown to our table. The server was also prompt and courteous, seemed very knowledgeable about the menu. A basket of fresh bread and seasoned crisps were brought out quickly. It was good...very good! We enjoyed the Salmon Griglia Insalata, Chicken Milanese, Tuscan Grilled Pork Chops, and Chicken Caprese. Prices seemed quite reasonable for portions. If I lived closer, I would certainly dine here more often.
(4)J S.
Went for NYE, was hoping to have a more relaxed time but instead we were served and ushered out rather quickly. Calamari was decent I ordered the Carbonara which was okay. I tried others dishes and they were pretty good. Over all would go back and try something else.

Not so impressed with my Brio experience at this particular location. I came on a Thursday around noon for a birthday lunch with a large group of co-workers. When we pulled into the parking lot, there were zero self parking spots left, but plenty of "valet only" spots. Cheers. The lots are shared by PF Chang's, McCormick and Schmick's, and Brio, so you would think that they would provide more self-parking spots to accommodate all of those restaurant patrons. We circled the parking lot a few times before realizing that the valet was the only option. By this point, the line for valet was about 5 cars deep in the midst of the lunch rush, and there was only one or two valets on duty. I find it rather unpleasant when the restaurant forces customers into a parking service that they really don't want or need when there are plenty of "valet only" spots roped off in the lot. Onto the actual restaurant... the interior is really lovely with high, arched ceilings and a rustic Italian feel. The kitchen is open which I always find to be a cool and reassuring touch because you know that the restaurant isn't trying to hide their tactics for handling food. We were seated at a long, dark wooden table by the kitchen, right in front of the "bread prep" station where servers collect the crispy flatbreads and little loaves for the bread baskets. It was just the right fit for our group of nine and felt like a classic "family dinner" kind of table. We were greeted by a polite server who seemed not so happy to be where she was. I don't think she cracked a smile the whole time she was attending to our table. She took our drink orders, and a few moments later another more bubbly and happy server came up and introduced herself. She said that she and the other server would be taking care of us, and then proceeded to inquire about our drink preferences. Apparently the two weren't quite on the same page which is understandable with a larger group. A few things went amiss during out meal: We ordered appetizers, and they took a good while to come out. Now this is understandable for a crowded restaurant, but the odd thing was that the first courses came out a good while before the appetizers despite the fact that we ordered our appetizers right away. One of the group members ordered the soup and salad combo, but they brought the salad out with the first courses. Not too unusual, but two other people in the group also ordered soup and salad combos and the two came out at the same time with the entrees. I ordered the salmon salad without cheese, but apparently this tripped up the kitchen staff. All of the other entrees came out at one time, whileI was left awkwardly fiddling with my napkin. The more glum server finally came up to me and explained that they were "re-plating" my dish. Okay. Not a big deal. I insisted that everyone else dig in, and I waited a good 5-8 minutes for my meal. The salad was okay, but the salmon appeared to be a bit under-cooked in the middle. I was too hungry to really care, so I nibbled on. Crummy parking situation, inconsistent and not-so-great service, iffy food. BUT I do have to give the happy server credit for pleasantly taking a picture of our group and smiling all the while. Very sweet. Buckhead Brio is better IMHO.
(2)Merissa C.
I love this restaurant! Everything I have ever ordered has been amazing. There service is always exceptionally good. The spinach and artichoke dip is the best. Every time I eat here I get the shrimp Diablo! This is my favorite place for Italian food in Atlanta.
(5)Tom W.
We had reservations for Christmas Eve and got here at 8:30. Table was not ready. It is now 9:30 and we still don't have our food. It appears the management has changed for the worse. Will probably not come here again due to the poor service. I would recommend going somewhere else.
(1)T. L.
The service is slow and easily confused. It's always a struggle trying to find one person who knows what's going on; they always seem to scramble. But the salads are tasty.
(2)Justin S.
Brio is pretty good.. Pros: Good atmosphere - kind of feels like italy with a corporate vibe. Bread was pretty good too... Good pasta and good dessertss Cons: Just the corporate feel. The food doesn't taste very fresh. Not bad just not very fresh. The fish I had was ok.. Nothing to brag about. I'd probably go here again but I wouldn't take someone here if I was trying to impress them. Best italian food I've had is in little italy... just thinking about it makes my mouth water!
(3)Aldina G.
Is was not the first time there. Is onde of our favorite places to go for brunch, lunch or dinner. We are very welcome by the staff and sometimes surprised by the menu updates. When it come to service provided I will give 5*, always very minded on how to please the customer. Food I will give a 4* just because some dishes sometimes don't look like made by scratch. We will definitely come back every now then to have very decent meal while enjoying the lake view and the nice weather at the patio.
(4)Leah V.
While I really enjoy a good Italian dish, I wasn't overly impressed by the mushroom ravioli I got from Brio. The service was top notch, I will give them that, but the food just lacks that distinguished flavor I expect from a "fancy" restaurant. The bar area was packed while we were there. Lots of 30-somethings who looked like they were having a late happy hour on a Friday evening.
(2)Jackie H.
Wow, did I enjoy myself at Brio. I was there for happy hour and enjoyed the happy hour menu. Really I could just say that the items on the happy hour menu are only $2.95, be done with this review, and keep it moving. $2.95? Yeah, get your bats, your sticks, and any other weaponry you might have and you still can't beat that. Look, I had the ravioli dish and it was the freakin bomb. Ya'll need to get that. I also had a dish which was Romano crusted eggplant along with some shrimp in a delightful sauce. OMG! It was so good! I WILL be back to Brio for dinner and the rest of that happy hour menu. Their menu is huge and looks like it's full of goodies begging me to order and devour. The service was great on my visit as well. Our server was on point and very pleasant. Like I said, I will be back here. I'm going to eat my way through that menu.
(4)Carmen Q.
Appetizer: Lobster bisque - wasn't good. Entree: Shrimp Mediterranean - Very good! Blackened Shrimp was delicious & orzo cooked perfectly. Drink: White Peach Palmer - delicious. My Lobster bisque app didn't come out before my entrée & server comped it without me having to mention it. Originally posted with 3 stars but gets an extra star for customer service. I would come back again but there are better options in this price rage.
(4)Don R.
In town for a short visit, stopped in with my wife and a business associate for lunch, since the sign looked inviting (really!). Had a decent risotto, the wife's salad was very nice, and the pasta pesto looked good too. I have had better food, so only 4 stars, but it was quite good. The service was superb, the menu is relatively small but intriguing with some good choices. Not inexpensive, but a good value for the price.
(4)Keya B.
Took my husband and kids to this location for Father's Day. It was wonderful and Hubby was all smiles. Food=yummy...Service=Great...Drinks=Absolutely Awesome!
(4)Serena S.
Took my husband here last night for Father's Day dinner with our two sons. The server was very friendly but the two gentlemen walking around (I'm assuming they were managers) looked beyond miserable and so did many of the other servers walking around lol the food was good but I wasn't impressed with the overall vibe of the restaurant. Likely won't be back to this location. Oh and the smell of the restaurant was horrid
(3)Phong T.
I'll try and make this a short review for those that likes a quick-read. I put everything in sections so you can skip straight to it. APPETIZERS: 1. Roasted Garlic, Spinach & Artichoke Dip - mouthgasm. enough said. so good! 2. Calamari Fritto Misto - It was just okay. I dislike the fried calamari sitting there in between two sauces; got kinda soggy before we could try it. And speaking of the sauces, the yellow horseradish-mayo looking sauce was a no-go. Too strong in flavor. I've had better. ENTREES: 1.Lobster & Shrimp Fettuccine - yum! It was just right. The pasta was chewy and cooked to perfection. The buttery lobster sauce definitely was savory with a hence of spice. 2. Campanelle Carbonara - a grilled chicken topped on a bed of pasta accompanied by bacon bits, sauteed spinach, and parmesan cheese. This dish was very tasty. DESSERTS: 1. Tiramisu dolchinos - vomit. we had to send it back and switch it out for the... berry cheesecake. 2. Berry Cheesecake - this was definitely better than the Tiramisu, but it wasn't great. I'll not get anymore dolchinos from this place. Perhaps it was the person making it that evening. 3Creme Brulee - in the words of my friend who loved it, "mmmm oh my gosh! soooo good!" The food overall were delish -- especially the pasta entrees not too saucy and just right. appetizers, meh. desserts, no thank you! ***My personal complaint on this specific location. Our main server needs to work on taking orders. Although I understood her, she was talking too fast when asked about the food. She also never came back to check up on us unless she saw us looking around. Aside from that, there is a pond outside. It was slightly drizzling that evening and there were ducks on the patio. One of the server in side consistently tried to mimick a duck sound and other animal noises. it was very inappropriate.
(2)Corey C.
This is my Fiancé and mines absolutely favorite place to eat. Anytime we have a special occasion to celebrate we go here. Love the atmosphere, love the service, and the food is the best. Plain and simple. If you go you need to try the Bruschetta Quattro appetizer. It's to die for. You can't go wrong with any of their entrees, but their steaks are fantastic. We went at Christmas a few years ago. When it was time to order dessert we were sad to learn that our vanilla creme brûlée was replaced with a holiday egg nog creme brûlée. We were reluctant to try it as neither of us drinks egg nog. The waiter said if we didn't like it he would pay for it. So we ordered it. Let me say it was the best creme brûlée I've ever had. And the waiter took it off the bill anyways. So needless to say we have him a big tip. Do yourself a favor and go eat here. You won't regret it.

This was my first *and last* time going to this restaurant. The food was good but little else was. We went on a Saturday evening, I get that, but due to the fact they block-off nearly half of the parking lot for "Valet Only" (I refuse to allow valet), trying to park was Miserable! We get inside and the place is Very noisy. So much that we had difficulty carrying on a simple conversation. Our server was very nice but stretched WAY too thin (had too many tables for her apparent abilities) so we rarely saw her. I ordered the Lobster Bisque and the Grilled Salmon Salad. The soup came pretty quick, given the crowd, and the first two spoonfuls were good. But in the third I discovered what appeared to be a long (4"-5") black hair. I'm not grossed out by much but that pushes the limit even for me. I set it on the side of the plate and promptly called the server over to show her what I found. She apologized and took it over to her manager. He came over, apologized again (was very nice) and offered me another (PASS!). My salad finally arrived and it was very good. When the check arrived, our server made special note to tell me the Bisque had been removed from our bill (DUH!). I wasn't looking for a free dinner, but I guess I was expecting *at least* one complimentary drink. Nothing! Only the Bisque had been remove (DUH!). What would have cost them practically nothing (glass of wine or two), causes this poor review. If any effort had been made, beyond a hand shake, I would have moved on and not taken this time to let people know...Don't Take a Chance going here. As I said, the food was okay, minus the Bisque, but the overall irritation made for an unpleasant dining experience and was FAR from worth our time and money.

I would definitely place Brio solidly within the "OK" category. The food is usually pretty good, although a bit overly salty. The service is the main issue at Brio. SLOOOOOOOOOOWW. The servers are never in any hurry. If you have to get back to the office, consider another option for lunch. Your waitperson will be absent for drink refills and check requests and food runners bring the meal so I hope you don't require anything further or God forbid, have a mix up with your order. You have been warned so if you want a lazy dinner on a beautiful patio on a summer evening, Brio is your place. If you are looking to catch a quick lunch or dinner before a movie, spend your money elsewhere.

I like Brio Dunwoody better than Brio Buckhead because it's nestled right next to a small pond with a beautiful fountain. Day or night, if the weather is good, try to sit at a table underneath one of the umbrellas on the patio for a nice view. Brio serves upscale-ish Italian cuisine. I've only been to this location for dinner two times, but wouldn't mind trying out one of their $7.95 Monday-Friday lunch specials sometime. Unfortunately, it's not worth the trip given where I work. I've found the food here to be pretty good, though perhaps a little overpriced. Most bruschettas, flatbreads (pizzas), pastas, and other house entrees cost anywhere from $15-24 per, with steak dishes higher than that. Not outrageous, but I was expecting more with some of the dishes I ordered, whether it be the use of more ingredients (I know several Italian flatbreads and pastas are simple by nature) or higher quality fare. I've tried the Beef Carpaccio primi (appetizer/first course), the Mushroom Ravioli Al Forno pasta, and the Artichoke Crusted Beef Medallions bistecca (steak). The Beef Carpaccio is quite good. It's served with field greens, capers, mustard aioli, and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. The beef is sliced super thin and is extremely delicate. Overall, the mixture of flavors makes this primi very mouth-watering and succulent. I highly recommend this app. The Mushroom Ravioli Al Forno is amazingly delicious. While the portion size is generous, I wish they served more! I believe the pieces of ravioli are boiled and then baked, making them more soft than al dente (firm). The pieces seemed to melt in my mouth. The Alfredo sauce on top was nice and creamy. I would order this dish again. The Artichoke Crusted Beef Medallions is OK. This dish makes use of three 2-ounce tournedos (filet mignons) with an artichoke crust and mushroom Marsala sauce made of wine, onions, herbs, and spices. The steak is a little tough, especially for filet mignons. Perhaps it was just the night I ordered it. Service was excellent during my visits. The decor is nice and elegant, from the tall floor-to-ceiling curtains, giant arches, and billowing ceiling cloths. Brio Dunwoody is located next to a couple other chains, PF Chang's and McCormick & Schmick's. While there are a few self-park spots, more than likely, you will have to valet (complimentary).

Was there for a birthday celebration on a Saturday night. We expected service to be slower it being on a weekend. Food was good. Service was fair. Attitude of the server was beyond terrible. Rude rude rude! Never been treated by a server like we were tonight. Needless to say, although food was good, we will never ever return!

We visited this place with my husband. We had high expectations since we both love italian food. The decor was very nice, both inside and out. I ordered the tilapia with veggies - absolutely no taste. I can make way better tilapia at home for 1/4 of cost. The seasonal veggies that came with it were tasty though. My husband ordered the mahi mahi - again, no taste. The service was also sketchy and we had to ask twice for everything we wanted. We will NOT be back.

My wife and I walked in, and no one was at the front desk, and no one paid us any attention. The place wasn't busy, and when the host did arrive, he asked if we were ordering for takeout. I said no, and he turned around and left. I went to the restroom while my wife waited to get acknowledged, but no one talked to her. We left and walked over to P.F. Chang's. We got seated right away and the appetizers are great.

A rich interior and classy furnishing are matched with delicious food. The salad had a vinaigrette with just a hint of sweetness that complimented the feta cheese perfectly. My entree was the Chicken Parmesan and it was crispy and flavorful. The pastas were fairly plain tasting and I think there purpose is to provide a "clean" balance to the entree. Of the two penne dishes I sampled the spinach & mushroom was the best. The bread was excellent and the flat-bread style crackers add the perfect crunch to the meal. I was visiting with a large group, and that's were my biggest caveat lays. It may have been due to scheduling constraints and a compromise with the person who booked the event versus the venue themselves. But we were crammed so close together to the point of ridiculous. I look forward to bringing my wife here on a date night and to get the normal, non-group, experience.

Good food, nice area, beautiful deck, Bocce Ball, great service...not bad. I will go again.

We had a party of 10 on Feb 6, with reservations. Service was a bit slow, but the food was fine. Our complaint was with the drinks, they had no liquor in any of them. It was insulting to think that we would not NOTICE this. After sending them all back several times we did finally get a decent cocktail. This will keep me from returning, as there are many fine places to dine in that area who serve good cocktails and have great food.

I've been to Brio many times in a different city and was excited to see it so close to my new home in Dunwoody and close to my office in Sandy Springs. Went to dinner on Friday evening around 7:30 and was curious the place was not busy. The host offered us seating with no wait both inside and out. We chose outside for a very nice setting overlooking the pond. Even with a busy street beyond there was no road noise and the sound of the fountain and quiet music made for a very intimate atmosphere. The ducks walking around our feet was a bit disturbing to my companion. Our waitress met us immediately and took our drink and appetizer orders. Bread was delicious, the highlight of the meal. The menu has changed from what I recall and I was a bit surprised it is less appealing than I remembered. My companion ordered the crab and shrimp cakes and I the chicken under the brick. Once the appetizer came, they apparently forgot we were there. While we sat with empty glasses, the meal took a significant amount of time even with the appetizer. Once arrived the entrées had obviously been waiting to be delivered. Food was not fresh and taste bland. The waitress was nowhere to be foun, but appeared in time to bring the check. Experience was mediocre at best. With all of the excellent choices in the perimeter area I won't be visiting this location anytime soon.

I recently attended a bridal shower at this Brio location. (Funny story - I'd actually headed for the Brio in Buckhead, and was 1 block away from it when I suddenly remembered that it was at the Dunwoody location instead... so yeah, I was a little late.) The part was set up in the private room at the back. There were 20-25 guests, and we fit comfortably in the room, which was set as one large rectangular table. The menu was fixed - Brio salad, and choice of 4 entrees, of which I selected the lasagna. The salads had been pre-plated and refrigerated, so the lettuce and tomatoes were wilted and the whole thing was a little too cold, particularly on a rainy, gray March day. Their lasagna is served with an alfredo-style sauce and a marinara sauce on top, and my portion was about 2/3 alfredo, making it very heavy. Despite the heavy flavor, the portion itself seemed to be the right, but then again, I'm a nursing mom who's hungry all the time. The service was good, and the room was great for the occasion. There are heavy velvet curtains that the staff expertly closes, and they really do block out all the noise from the main room of the restaurant. #Yelp365 - 112/365

Brio's food is good. Expect to eat some tasty Italian BUT their parking sucks! As you enter, they have sign that point to self parking and valet. But it's a scam! They have very little self parking spots that you are forced to take valet. BOOO!!!!
(3)TT S.
We order entrees and the waiter ask us what salad we want and make it sounds like it's with the entree and when we got the bill it was freaking $60. and yes. The salad was not with our meal. So be careful about the way the waiter ask you. You might pay more than you thought. Btw. We really don't like the salad. It's cold dish and the leafs look yellow and gross.

I went to a Brio in Ohio a few years ago and had a really good experience. Tonight's dinner did not meet my expectations. First, the interior felt like an Olive Garden with light fixtures from a Cheesecake Factory. Talk about some weird ambiance. The strange music choice certainly didn't help. And while service was friendly, it wasn't speedy. As for the food, it was nothing to rave about. My caesar salad was swimming in dressing. Then the entrees arrived and things did not improve. My husband ordered the Fettuccine Napoli, which is supposed to have fettuccine (obviously), carmelized onions, sundried tomatoes, pancetta, broccoli florets, and smoked chicken. He was incredibly confused when this dish arrived without one bite of chicken. Not one. Pretty disappointing, considering this was his birthday dinner. My Grilled Salmon (Romano-crusted tomatoes, citrus pesto, asparagus, and crispy shoestring potatoes) was decent, but the asparagus was grilled and too tough to eat. I felt like a cow chewing cud for a good five minutes on one bite before giving up entirely. The tomatoes were absolutely the best part of my entree. Dessert was the one true highlight of the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed my $2.50 mini caramel creme brulee. But this tiny dessert does not warrant a return.

My husband and I have been here twice and have loved it both times. Both times we have gone, it has been a Saturday night and quite busy, so I definitely recommend making a reservation (which you can very conveniently do online through their website). The most recent time we went (just last weekend) our waiter was great, however, he was spread too thin over too many tables. My main complaint with this is it took us a while to get his attention when we needed drink refills, a straw, etc. It is also a little annoying (as some of the other reviews have indicated, too) that they block off so much of the parking lot for the valet service, but hey, at least it is complimentary. As for everything else, it was great! Food was absolutely delicious, wine was tasty, and the atmosphere was also very nice. We will definitely be returning!
(4)Sameera M.
Went there for a nice cozy dinner with the husband..It was our 1st time at Brio's.. The flat breads served before the food..were good..very crunchy with sesame seeds..the drinks were refreshing.. The food was good..we specially loved the lobster bisque..we went for the dinner for 20$ menu since the choices looked good.. I do have 1 point..when the desserts came..my husband found a card board chip in it..so we told the waiter..he wasn't much interested in what we were saying..he just said..i'll let the guys in the kitchen know..that was it..! So it bummed us out a bit..after a good dinner it was little disappointing.. That's why the 3 stars..though the food was quite good..not bad for a quite dinner..the ambiance was nice..it was drizzling a bit when we came..we had a good time..would definitely come here again..
(3)Matt S.
What a disappointment! It's been a while since I've been there, and what with the beautiful evening and all that, decided to visit again. Everything except the view was mediocre-problems with the orders, food not coming out right, Mahi-Mahi over spiced, Calamari a wierd greenish purple, every wine glass filled to a different level-it seemed like a real seat of the pants operation. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, and neither the food nor the service warranted anything near this price level. To top it off, I had to find the valet to get my car!
(2)Tina O.
I often meet gal friends here for late afternoon "nosh". Our service is usually quite good (a bit spotty at times) and the food is good. I am a particular fan of their happy hour menu - one can get quite a bit to eat for just $3.95. I will continue to return.
(4)Andre W.
Stopped over for lunch while hosting some clients and I was pretty much impressed. It sits right next to PF Changs and McCormick & Schmicks and since we have both of those in Chicago it was good my boss chose this place as the lunch destination (Actually I think we have one of these in the north burbs, but I've never had it). I started out with the lobster bisque and it was as good as any that I have ever had. I chose the Pasta Brio which includes grilled chicken, mushrooms and red pepper sauce. Very delicious and very filling! I had to take a to-go box which I wound up leaving by accident, but the very nice waitress saw that I left it and came out running to give it to me. Great menu here full of good stuff..Maybe I will venture to the north burbs of Chicago to try more stuff

Mixed - big salad but had to add salt and pepper to get some flavor going. Chicken Marsala was good - nice size lunch portion. Service okay.

I don't think there is one dish here I have tried, that I didn't like!! This place is what originally started my love of Beef Carpaccio Although none of the dishes in particular come to mind at this moment, as it's been quite some time since I have been there... I know that each one I have tried, I have indeed savored each and every bite with a feeling of heaven washing over me. I should make it back up there again come to think of it!! ;o)
(4)FoodSnob D.
My first time here and it was great! My waiter was an asshole and for the first time I bit my tongue but I let my tip reflect how I felt about it. He got really upset and pissy because I changed my appetizer order. First of all lets start with the spinach dip. This was the best spinach dip I ever had in my life! Yep, its even better than Houston's. I had the crab and shrimp fondue which was good but not great. The lobster bisque had a great flavor but there was not a shred, not a crumb of lobster, so that was the downside. The lasagna reads well and sounds delicious, but it really could have passed for a grocery store lasagna and I was not impressed. The lamb chops were good, but th sauce that comes with it was way too salty. I literally felt my blood pressure go up with each bite. The ceaser salad was fresh and tasty with delicious croutons. The desserts were just okay. Overall this place is an upscale Olive garden, similar to a Maggiano's. I would def go back and Im still drooling over the spinach dip.
(4)Scott W.
The food is great at Brio and service was fine but sometimes the seating is not the best. I clearly stated in the reservation that it was an anniversary and I wanted a nice table. They tried putting us in the bar...lol. Ok they fixed that immediately. Otherwise it was was a great time and our waitress was very nice.
(4)Brent M.
9.16.11 Service and atmosphere was excellent. Lobster bisque was delicious, but not steakhouse quality. Chicken limone was light, flavorful, and presented well. Ordered rare lambchops, temp was correct, but I prefer a little more charred or seared. Again, service sand staff were very attentive and friendly!
(3)Alex H.
My experience here was a reserved room for a large group. They've got a nice relatively private room for 20-30 off to the side, the only negative to it is the evening sun shines right through the windows. The service was attentive. The fixed menu items were plentiful and tasty.
(3)Whitney T.
The food at Brio Tuscan Grille is delicious! I also love the restaurant's decor. I went on a Tuesday night around 9pm and it was actually very empty. The parking lot appeared to be full but I don't know where all of those people were because they weren't inside Brio. The only reason that I did not give them 5 stars is because our waitress was HORRIBLE!!! I have not had a waitress that bad in a very long time. To begin with, she took forever to take our orders. At first she kept looking to see if we were ready to order and she noticed we weren't because we were still looking at our menus. However, once we were done looking at our menus she took forever to come back to us. It took her an estimated 10-15 minutes. She could have at least asked us if we needed any help with the menu, I mean it's not like she had anyone else to wait on. My dad had to continuously ask for a refill, however, she was really good with refilling two of our drinks. The manager bought our food out and afterwards, she never came to see how we were doing, if we needed anything etc. Also, their menu has a few of the same items for appetizers and main entrees. Two people in our party ordered off of the appetizer menu but forgot to tell her they wanted the appetizer portion and she didn't even bother to ask which one they wanted. So, we had to have the manager adjust two charges and she even tried to argue with us before getting the manager. How UNPROFESSIONAL!!! However, the manager at this location is fantastic. He is very sharp, professional and has a very cool demeanor. I highly recommend this restaurant to others, however, I hope you do not end up with the awful waitress I had. Oh yeah, I left my to go box there by a mistake and when I returned about 10 minutes later my waitress had put it in the back for me...I hope she didn't do anything to it because we did not leave her a good tip at all. I feel okay though! LoL
(3)Mike M.
no matter what state it's in, brio is overrated. but the food is ok. not ok enough for the price, but ok. flatbread and chop salad. the only way to fly.
(3)Anjali S.
Brio- to me- is by far the best Italian restaurant chain out there. One of my favorite apps is the Beef carpaccio. It weirded me out at first- I'm not an extreme foodie but your garden variety foodie who will try borderline adventurous foods- So I'm thinking raw beef? Eeks! But it's actually very good- the salad on top is refreshing. Once I find something I like I'm not very adventurous- So my favorite dish here is the Pasta Brio. It's usually the favorite at the table too. I've frequently been asked to switch plates but I refuse. I order it on purpose! Because I want to eat it myself! . . .I love the rigatoni, the chicken breast- in slices- is tender, the mushrooms give a nice hearty addition and the roasted red pepper sauce makes the dish and is slightly creamy. I would have given it 5 stars but I think I need to have a few more dishes off the menu before I do that! I think it's a great pick for Italian though.
(4)David K.
I've eaten here several times and I have mixed feelings about this location. First of all, I want to say that I love Brio. I eat at the Buckhead location pretty frequently and I love their chop salad and their Pollo al Forno flatbread is amazingly delicious. I would have rated them 5 stars, except they lack on a few things that are small, but really important. Don't get me wrong, they do lots of things really well. For example, today at lunch my drink was always full and I never had to ask for a refill. I accidentally knocked over one of my full drinks and in less than 30 seconds a waitress was at the table with a rag to clean it up. While she was doing that someone else brought be a fresh beverage. Wow. Now for a few things that they could do a little better. Their parking is awful. During the day it's hit or miss as to whether or not you can find a space without having to use the valet (and the valet is a hassle). At night it's almost impossible to avoid using the valet. The timing with their service could also be improved. Today we waited almost 30 minutes before our order was taken and at one point it almost felt like our waitress quit.
(4)Tommy R.
Had the salmon and angel hair pasta with asparagus. Salmon was perfectly cooked. Very nice atmosphere... Step above a Macaroni Grill. The lava cake for dessert was a perfect end to the meal. Only reason for not giving 4 or 5 stars was because of the bossy service. We were in deep conversation and she acted as though we needed to pay more attention to her vs. the person we were having lunch with.
(3)Lisa S.
I came here for a friend's birthday dinner and truly enjoyed the ambience. We sat inside although there is also a beautiful patio outside next to the pond/water fountain, the only downside are the ducks swarming there for food. I ordered the half roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. It was a lot of food for the cost and tasted good, although a bit too salty. For dessert, I enjoyed a petite crème brulee with a sliced strawberry on top. It was a pretty perfect dinner! Another plus is the complimentary valet.
(4)Spiro T.
Kinda like an upscale Carrabbas. Food and service was on point.
(3)Valerie M.
Wonderful service, excellent meal, the steak was cooked perfectly. Highly reccomend.
(4)B M.
We've been to Brio quite a few times over the past 15 yrs., or so and have always enjoyed the service, drinks and food.. However tonight they let us down. We stopped off at the bar to have drink...good service, good drinks. After about a 1/2 hr., we went to the front desk to be seated and that's where the service stopped. It took about 10 mins., from then on to be acknowledged. We had a coupon for their Bruschetta Quattro and caught one of the nearby servers who took care of the order. The plate was super. Another 5 or 10 mins., a server (apparently ours) finally approached our table to see if we were ready to order. No one offered us their traditional bread/biscuit basket, however other tables around us were readily served this deliciosity. So we ordered; my wife had the usual Salmon, delicious. I tried their Pork Chop, ordered it medium it came with dry, dry mashed potatoes and a bunch of poorly cooked vegetables. Over all we were not very pleased with Brio. .
(2)Robley R.
We have been there on a few occasions for dinner and lunch and never had a bad meal. The bruschetta sampler is a good start, followed by their Campanelle Carbonara is my favorite. The staff is always friendly and attentive even when busy. If you are going on long weekend or holiday I recommend making a reservation otherwise the wait could be long.
(3)Chriss F.
I recently returned to Brio and was very pleased at the level of service our party received. I would say the food is above average. Plenty of choices on the menu. Highly recommend the lasagne and the beef carpaccio. Lobster bisque is excellent.
(4)Josh B.
Brio has good food at somewhat high but not unreasonable prices, the atmosphere is nice and the patio is very comfortable depending on when your there. The food at Brio has been consistently good everytime i've been there. I usually go for lunch since i work close by. I usually get a salad of some kind which have all been good. I really can't complain about the food at all. I don't think its as good as some other Italian resturants that are in the neighborfhood like carabba's or Maggiano's but its different and enjoyable. The biggest problem i have with Brio and this is what keeps them at 3 stars for me, is the service. Every time i've been there its been so slow. why is this, i usually go for lunch and i always sit outside. You would think that on a nice spring day, during lunch, more than one person would be working outside since that may be where a lot of people would want to sit. This is not the case it seems. Oh well.
(3)Courtney C.
Whenever I think of bruschetta, I think of garlic and tomatoes and basil and good quality olive oil. Brio helped me think of bruschetta in a new way: with basalmic vinegar and cheese and pesto! The seasonal bruschetta, the caprese, was pretty tasty. My mom and I split it for our meal tonight (knowing that we'd rather consume our weekly allotment of calories with cheesecake). The bruschetta was really fantastic, but it is seasonal, so you better hurry up! My dad got the rosmary bistecca with mashed potatoes and tomatoes and arugula. I thought it was tasty, although the meat wasn't marbleized enough for my taste. The mashed potatoes were nice and creamy, and the tomatoes had a crunchy bread crumb topping baked in that had a good seasoning to it. I wished the arugula was wilted (probably would have been if the mashed potatoes were hotter), but other than that I thought his meal was pretty good. The house red zinfindel was decent and reasonably priced as well. So who cares about all those entrees. You want to hear about the star of the night-------CHEESECAKE-----caramelized cheesecake with a vanilla and raspberry sauce. The top was slightly crunchy from the brulee (spelling?) but not burnt like someone went torch happy. The sauce wasn't too sweet, and the cheesecake was just perfectly creamy. My only complaint was a lack of crust. I don't mind no bottom crust on a cheesecake, but I really like something to define the back (like a crunchy crust or some sort of texture difference). All in all, I really would like to return on a cool night and eat outside overlooking the lake. The only negatives were the slightly high prices and the slightly indifferent waitstaff. Other than that, "Yay! I'm a fan."
(4)Alexander S.
I had a birthday dinner here. Brought 25 ppl with me. The service was terrible....food took an hour to arrive after we ordered, it was also cold when served! Drinks were not refilled at all, some of my guests ordered a drink but was brought something they didn't order, he ordered a Blue Moon but got a lite beer with an orange on top. THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO DO SEPARATE CHECKS. Every check was incorrect, so when ppl complained about things not correct on the check, they just took it off theirs and stuck me with it. Dont go to Brio @ Dunwoody unless u enjoy bad service and overpriced meal
(1)Amy T.
Nice lunch spot for customer or client lunches. Today was my second visit in about 3 years' time, but my experience today was just as consistent as I remember from years ago. Today, I had a Caesar salad, Grilled Salmon and Angel Hair, and a mini Tiramisu dessert. I have to say that I enjoyed it all, with the exception that my salmon was a little charred in some areas. The portion was just right for lunch and didn't leave me miserable. Our server was a bit softspoken, therefore difficult to hear, but he took good care of us. Would love to return and try another dish.
(4)Jeannine D.
Tuscan Grilled Pork Chops. Raspberry Mojito. Bliss. Nice atmosphere, friendly servers, a teeny bit pricey, but worth it.
(4)Jason L.
We checked out Brio because of the reviews on another site. i have to say we where very disappointed with our whole meal. Maybe it was just this location but Carabba's and Maggiano's are twice the Italian restaurant that Brio is. We where not happy with either dishes we ordered. in fact the pork chop i had made me sick. the service was just sub par. We where very unimpressed with the entry experience. We enjoy Maggiano's and Carabba's to much we have no need to give Brio another shot. I hope for there sake it better for everyone else?
(1)Bridget U.
I have only ever been here for take out for lunch on Sundays- I work nearby and sometimes need to get out and get some good, quick food on the run. I like their lobster bisque. I had their shrimp and crab cakes recently with veggies- that was pretty good. I am not fond of their artichoke and spinach, i think that is what it was, appetizer- just too salty or something for me. I need to go in for a nice sit down meal some time.
(4)John S.
Four of us went for brunch today. First, the place was at least three quarters empty, and they sat us at a table right between two other tables full of people in very close proximity, one with a hyperactive and unrestrained child. Okay, we could have asked for another table. I should have sensed something was off when two of my companions ordered orange juice and they received half a wine glassful with ice cubes. One person ordered eggs benedict and said the hollandaise sauce tasted 'off'. Another had the French toast with berries and said the toast has a strange aftertaste. Shrimp & crab crepes and the breakfast panini could have been served hotter, and were rated as just okay. For the price I think we will find somewhere else for brunch next time.
(2)Mary M.
gorgeous waterfront patio but reeks of fertilizer or pesticide or something else found in the garden aisle of lowe's. food was ok - not great, but ok. I would get the mixed greens salad again but the soups were mediocre. we didn't order pasta or entrees or anything but from what i saw at the other tables, they looked decent and the portions were huge.
(3)Ali P.
We ordered fried calamari for starters, very nice, lightly breaded and crispy on the outside, with tender calamari on the inside... The calamari was very delicious, perfectly mild and tender, no fishy odor, no rubber tires... I had the Rib Eye, it was fresh, flavorful and prepared to medium rare perfection as ordered, I did not expect an Italian place to create such delectable meats. Becca had the Prime Rib, flawlessly seasoned on the outside, and slow roasted to completion on the inside. The ambiance was very nice, and the service was adequate, over all a very satisfying experience.
(3)Kate C.
I have been here twice. The first time was not bad. Food was decent and service good. The second experience was enough for me to decide I'm not ever going back. Our server was so terrible that a manager was floating around her section handling complaints. Also, the food was just awful. I ordered chicken parm. The chicken tasted as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for the entire day. It was inedible. After complaining, I receiving a new dish that was just okay. No manager ever came out to check on me or ask if the new dish was satisfactory. I have been in the restaurant business long enough to know what the protocol should be. The only reason it didn't get one star is because the server at the first visit was very good.
(2)Matt B.
This place is like putting lipstick on a pig. You can place all the sophisticated and exotic-sounding words in your menu that you want. You can decorate the interior to the nines. But if you don't have the food and service to back it up, customers like me won't be back. I had the shrimp and lobster fettuccine while she had the Chicken Milanese with a Bisteca Insalata. Quite frankly it was only slightly above Olive Garden quality, but the prices and menu descriptions set you up to expect something much better. When the butter and the salt are the overwhelmingly dominant flavors of your dish, you know that you've been duped. Add in a level of service that caused me to actually tip below 15% and I can say with a great deal of certainty that I most likely won't be back for a second try.

Love this resturant and love this location. Dining outside during the spring & summer is the best the Steak salad is the best the glazed pecans and gorgonzola cheese topped with cherry red tomatoes and creamt balsamic dressing is amazing!!!!!!!!!! I recommed it highly. Great for couples, and great for the family.
(5)Franklin B.
This is our favorite Italian cuisine in Altanta. The rich savory lobster bisque is slap your Granny good, the best anywhere and we've tried it around the world. None better. And we love our Granny. The fresh salads and light pastas are exquisite. Reasonably priced Italia rustica, molto bene!
(5)Ron H.
Business dinner last night...the place was dead, which is fine. however, the servants seemed disorganize. However, the biggest issue is I paid $15 for Dai Pra? (pasta and chix)....it had 4 bite size pieces of chix and 1/2 bowl of pasta....this is after the 1/2 bowl salad for $4 add-on.....the point..very over priced for the amount of food....

We live in Sandy Springs and when the family (wife, 2 teenagers) and I want a nicer meal than a casual eatery, we often go to the Brio/McCormick's/P.F. Chang restaurant park. I agree with several other reviewers - valet parking is a hassle and really not necessary in this small restaurant park. I always try to self-park because the valets are overworked and you end up waiting 15 minutes for your car - although you can see it about 200 feet away. Brio itself is an attractive restaurant and the food has always been consistent and the portions generous. The wood grilled salmon is especially good as are most of the salads. Brio can get a little pricey - our last meal for 3 ended up costing almost $100 before tips - with only one glass of wine and no desserts. I give Brio 4 stars because the menu is different than most other restaurants in Dunwoody/Sandy Springs and the food is consistent and tasty.

Ok. So I am going to do my best in giving Brio the benefit of the doubt, but I had a not-so-great experience this Father's Day. I usually break my meal down and say what I thought about every minute detail -- but I'm going to save my breath and cut to the chase. The Good: It's Italian food -- hard to screw up. Everything had great presentation and for the most part -- great flavors. You could definitely tell that the chef was putting a great deal of attention to every dish. The Bad: I brought my Dad here for Father's day and with that comes a big family dinner. There were 6 of us, my (much) younger brother and sister came aged 10 and 12. I didn't realize this until mid-way through the dinner, but we were definitely sat in the "kids" room. I noticed, out of the 6 tables in the side seating area, every table had either a baby or someone under 14 seated. I walked in the dining room to not find any "children." We weren't welcome in the "adult" section. The screaming babies and out of control 4 y/os were very annoying. - I arrived about 5 minutes after the family, and my guest and I never received a menu or water. - It was a constant struggle to get refills and our completed bread and appetizer plates cleared. We found ourselves using the food-runner as a "we need...refills, wine, more dressing, etc..." I hate doing this, but it was necessary. - My step-mom never received her wine, even after asking for it. We never were asked the classic server verbiage; "How is everything? Can I get anything for you?" I felt myself trying to contain myself and remain polite, we've all been there, right? - When we asked for the check, we asked to make sure the wine did not appear on our bill -- the server said OK and never apologized for the mistake. When our desserts arrived, the server brought her a complimentary wine, this is good right? Nope. Instead of bringing her a Malbec, like she ordered. The server brought her a Pinot Grigio. Huh? She hates white wine, how about bringing her what she originally ordered? I hate to be so negative. The food could have been great -- this time the service ruined the entire experience. If I go back, I will be sure to post a follow up. Brio is not worth the hassle or money in my opinion.

Delicious Tuscan Italian fare with superb pastas, grilled entrees, bruchetta, flatbread (pizza), and salads. Loved emailed bday complimentary entree too! Wait staff sometimes in outer space and I attentive.

I must say I am surprised by the other negative reviews of Brio as I just loved it! From the service to the food, everything was extremely enjoyable. I will admit that you may encounter a negative experience in the parking lot, feeling as though you have no choice but to pay to valet. However, I have been to this area twice and both times I simply drove right past the 'do not park here' signs and no one said a thing! The hostess initially sat us next to the kitchen which was a bit noisy. We asked to be moved and they quickly took us to a quieter location without making us feel as though we were inconveniencing them (like some hostesses do). We started out with the calamari fritto misto which was delicious. I ordered the pasta alla vodka and added a caesar salad. While the portion was a little small, I felt it was the size portions should be in restaurants. It filled me up without making me feel guilty about eating too much. My dad had the tournedos di manzo (which I tried) and it was REALLY good! It was basically two filets with hollandaise sauce on top. I would say if you order wine, appetizers, salad and an entree this place can get pretty pricey. If you don't plan on spending very much I would recommend sharing something like the two filet meal.

I have to admit, I'm not one for chain restaurants, so when my parents voiced interest in going here, I was hesitant, but ultimately figured it was worth a try. First of all, this was hardly a vegetarian haven - I think they had maybe two main dishes, tops, that weren't heavily meat involved. Our waitress was also new and inexperienced, and being somewhat of a wine snob, couldn't help but cringe when she compared the wine she was suggesting to Kendall Jackson. Yikes. On top of that, she got both Charlie's and my salads confused (I hate gorgonzola and the one I got was smothered in it, when she'd told me it'd be topped with parmigiano reggiano). Well, at least she didn't give me bacon, although she tried to convince me the caesar salad was vegetarian (uhh .... anchovy paste anyone?). She also got my fiance's dinner wrong; it came with shrimp when he'd requested chicken. They took his dinner off as a sign of goodwill, but the food was honestly mediocre. As everyone was starving, we got a pizza margarita as an appetizer, and it was lukewarm and the tomatoes had a weird texture. My mediterranean pasta was thoroughly unimpressive. However, Dad did seem rather impressed with their mahi mahi special. I guess at least their cappuccino was quite pleasant, as was the gelato, but who knows if they make that themselves. Overall, more mishaps than I care for, but having been a waitress at one point, it happens and I usually don't let that affect my opinion too much. But the food really isn't worth a comeback, in my opinion. Oh, also - the parking is SO WEIRD here, too. They basically force you to valet parking, and the lot is just very bizarrely constructed. I'm sorry, but when you're like 5 feet from the restaurant, why exactly do you need valet parking? I don't get it.

Rude service. Mediocre food. Easy to forget.

this place has a nice patio with a view of some water - where ducks sometimes go. the attitude of the people working there is questionable. the last time i went we had a good waiter though - had a sense of humor. the portions are huge here - i never can finish my meal. the dessert shots are pretty tasty. i think they should get some more simple basics on the menu and focus on smaller portions. the price seems relative to the portion size so shrink both of those and i'd give it a higher score.
