My wife and I went on our 20th anniversary and every staff member that waited on us greeted us with happy anniversary and a smile it made for a very pleasant dining experience and the food is excellent everything cooked to perfection !

Can't deny the entire experience was perfect from start to finish. Our waiter was fabulous and my grandmother was continually impressed with his professionalism and high level of service. He seemed genuine and patient. And considering I was there with my great Aunt and my grandmother and father, patience was needed and welcomed. I had grilled fish and steamed spinach, along with carrots sans glaze. Everyone else got the vegetable plate and dad got the Scallops! Not much to say considering the food was lovely and our waiter didn't bat an eye when I made a no butter/no salt request. Yup, I was that white girl. He obliged and everything was cooked perfectly! Impeccable service, not a single thing out of place. He had an eye for detail that didn't go unnoticed! Lovely lunch with my family!!

I had a blast here. Granted, I came for a birthday and was dropped off in a limo. Still, every visit I have had here, I have been treated like royalty. The birthday girl made reservations and they offered the wine cellar-if you ever have a small party, be sure to ask for it. It was a nice cozy area downstairs surrounded by cabin/wood/cozy decor. We got the hot rocks appetizer ($20 but worth it) which is really, really thin beef that you place on a sizzling rock for 2-10 seconds. This is more about the experience than anything else, so we ordered 3. We also got the hot smoked salmon which is suburb and the goat cheese which comes with bread and pears, so yummy. Additionally, we tried the steak tar tar which has an avocado topping, a great pick as well. I only wished they initially offered more bread bites with these appetizers since we kept ordering more and had to wait for them to come before continuing to dig in. Props to our fabulous waiter who bought us another smoked salmon since we let it get cold while waiting on a party member to arrive (we told him he didn't have to but he insisted). Some people in our group ordered a salad. The wedge is huge, we made fun of the person who got it since it was bigger than their head. It's literally a giant, whole lettuce head. My advice is to split a wedge with someone, they will split it for you and give you just enough to save room for dinner. We also got the Blue Ridge house salad which as pear and Gorgonzola. Now that is a salad worth getting. Most of us ordered the filet mignon ($42) or for $8 more the special which was the surf and turf: filet mignon and 2 giant scallops. No one complained, we ate and ate until we couldn't eat anymore. Then we ordered dessert. The creme brulee was just ok but the chocolate cake, we had to get 2! Overall this place has great ambiance, service and food. It's upscale dining and definitely worth putting on your list of places to try. Don't wait for a special occasion, treat your self!

Love the old school feel Of the bar area and the inclosed patio feels like you are at a friends house. Great wines cocktails and food.

If you are looking for great food but bad attitudes this is your place. From the bartender to our slow waitress that clearly didn't care how long we waited for our food..... Make sure you go elsewhere.

Business lunch today. I haven;t been to BRG since my last review in 2011. And you know what? I think the Blue Ridge boys read my review. The menu is updated, the food arrived hot and the service was very good. The trout -- always my favorite here -- came with bed of arugula on top. The hot loaf of bread for the table was a plus. The valet parking hopeless backed up when I arrived. Rumor has it that there was a mechanical problem with a car right in front of the entrance. By the time I left everything had been straightened out. I putting BRG back in the rotation -- good food in a lovely atmosphere.
Met my husband here for an impromptu weekday lunch. I had no idea it was so comfortable inside! Lots of stone and wood, a stone fireplace and leather booths with nail heads make it feel like a cozy mountain lodge. I loved it the moment I stepped foot inside. We sat at the bar and ordered iced tea. I drink a lot of iced tea and I was pleasantly surprised at how good theirs is! Usually restaurant iced tea isn't dark enough so it ends up having no flavor to speak of but this tea is brewed nice and dark. Hubby and I split the burger and a side of Brussels sprouts. This burger is one of the best I've had! It comes with pimento cheese, pickles, lettuce and preserved tomato on a delicious Parker Roll. O. M. G. Thank you Jesus for cows! If you have an opportunity to eat here take it!

We had a wonderful experience at Blue Ridge Grill. We made reservations for a Saturday evening. When we arrived at the restaurant, the valet was quick to greet us. The table was not ready since we arrived a little early so we just ordered some drinks at the bar and was given some delicious cheese coins. When the table was ready, we were taken to the table and was welcomed by Evan(waiter). He was extremely professional and always checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal. We ordered the lamb and the crab cakes. Both were delicious choices. The banana bread pudding with ice cream on top was amazing as well. For 2 people, we spent close to $150. I would recommend this restaurant.

Showed up on a Thursday evening with no reservation on the advice of a friend. Ended up eating at the bar and couldn't have been happier. Fantastic atmosphere, excellent wine (Spanish was on special I think?) and the food was delightful. There are many great restaurants in metro ATL and we want to try as many as we can, but Blue Ridge Grill will definitely be on our list of frequent repeats. The bartenders on that night were both fantastic hosts, engaging but not intrusive.

Just slid in after a soccer game and thought we would be under dressed...They don't care what you are wearing and welcome you without any pompous attitude like some-other Bulkhead snobberies! Great steaks, great wine and awesome service from the grand waiter with 4*'s.

The food was fantastic and the ambiance perfect. (from the Herbert Dickson prints of terriers sunbathing to the portrait of the hare hanging high on the wall of a log cabin-esque structure this restaurant is beautiful and classy) Our server was extremely helpful and knowledge and everyone enjoyed every course. Between the five in our party everyone chose a different entree and we all were more than satisfied with each of our picks. I would absolutely recommend and would return to this restaurant.

Dinner with friends. Excellent service. Food was delicious. I am a food safety nerd and LOVED how they brought the whole fish out and filet it table side. I had the chicken with stuffed pecans - excellent. Group had Filets - all loved and flounder -the WHOLE thing - too much for a lady to eat. A la carte sides - corn souffle (wonderful), asparagus - yum and greens (excellent). The only down side was the price so I would say it is a special occasion place. without including drinks and tip for 2 we spent $115.
Love this place. Fine dining in a southern traditional atmosphere. Drinks on the porch are always a treat. Great fish and steaks.

Oh yeah this place is the real deal. Reasonably priced for a very good meal. Service was flawless and meal was wonderful. I hosted a business outing for 6 peers last night. A broad range of menu items were ordered at our table from fish to pork to steak. There were no complaints at the table. I have alepways enjoyed their sister restaurant Bones. The Blue Ridge will now be a part of my Atlanta restaurant rotation when in town.

After reading reviews of this place, my boyfriend and I decided we had to check it out. Perhaps we read too much into the hype, because we were simply disappointed when it was all said and done. The one redeeming quality was the bread. Warm, yummy, and with real butter. Oh, and the wine list on the iPad. That was really cool, and informative. The service was almost too attentive. I couldn't hold a conversation without having a 2/3s full water glass being refilled, accompanied with an arm in my face. Perhaps if we weren't in a booth this would have been a different story, but the constant interruption got old fast. The food was good, but for what we were paying I just expected better. No dish I tried made me say "wow." The corn souffle, which after reading reviews I was super pumped to try, was an over-glorified corn casserole from the Midwest, and was a little too mushy for my taste. Certainly, no dish was bad, but everything seemed a bit bland and routine. The atmosphere, another aspect that got rave reviews, fell short in our opinion as well. Maybe it was the fact that we were by far the youngest people in the restaurant, or maybe it was just too big to pull of the "lodge" feel, who knows. This place wasn't bad, but for this price range, you can get much more exciting and tasty food for your value in Midtown or Downtown.

While the menu to not expansive, the selections they provide are tasty! The service was wonderful and the bread....I would go to sleep on a loaf of that warm bread! If you are looking to taste their grits, they were a little on the dry side (this is a southerners perspective, of course). The atmosphere was cozy and they added a cute little touch by having the wine list on an iPad.

The food is great from the corn souffl to the pecan stuffed chicken. Great short ribs. Great decor and wait staff. Only draw back is the small dinner menu compared to other places but that is how they excel on what they do offer. Try them out I'm sure you'll like it

Note: Only option is to valet your car. The sign is a little hard to see so if you pass the entrance from West Paces Ferry Rd (coming from Buckhead), you can turn right at the light on Northside Pkwy and enter from the shopping center parking lot. Drinks: Ken Wright's Pinot Noir- very smooth and light. Entrees: Pan Roasted Duck Breast- ordered medium rare. It was flavorful and tender. The skin of the duck was a little too salty/seasoned for my preference but would definitely recommend. This was served with duck confit bread pudding; wasn't sure what to expect but the dried cranberries were a nice surprise. Dessert: Chocolate Torte- tasted like a melting brownie. Very chocolately and delicious. Overall: I would recommend. It's definitely pricey (entrees ~$25-$35) but the quality of the food is worth it.

The restaurant ambiance was great and the service was wonderful. I had the pecan chicken and it was one of the better chicken dish's I have had. We ate early but had a reservation and were seated right away. The staff remembered our name throughout the process as well and even the valet parking attendant's were extra friendly. Though the food is a little pricey the taste and the atmosphere convinced us that this has to go on our short list of great places around Atlanta.

I ate here for work and was blown away. I often do not eat at establishments of this level but I loved it. I did not feel out of place. The food was delicious and worth every penny. I ate the lobster gnocchi and had some asparagus along with macaroni and cheese. I would recommend it for anyone!

My wife and I ate there last Friday night, very nice experience and well worth the price. We highly recommend you try it if you're not already a fan. We'll be back. Dress casual is fine, take your time and try the corn chowder.

The Blue Ridge Grill is one our favorite neighborhood restaurants. The ambiance is as good as the food. The Trout is my favorite dinner entree. For lunch, try the Lobster BLT. The Bread is spectacular, baked fresh on site all day long. The Blue Ridge Grill is my number 1 choice for a business lunch. The staff is terrific.

I always love Blue Ridge Grill. Get there early for a cocktail and enjoy the ambiance of a first class steakhouse. The tuna tartar is a wonderfully decadent starter and the on-the-bone steaks will have you asking for a doggie bag no matter how hungry you are.

Very nice establishment! Visited for the first time today for a luncheon so I have no idea about pricing. We had the downstairs area to ourselves and feasted family style. The restaurant is in its own secluded area just off West Paces Ferry. Parking is complimentary and the gentlemen are fast and courteous so do tip them well. The servers were awesome, attending to our every need as soon as we sat down. The pre-meal bread was hot and fresh, very good!! I also enjoyed the Blue Ridge salad, although it made my tongue and gums itch a little, nothing major but I'll be sure to pass on that next time. It features a spring mix, passionfruit, walnuts, crumbled bleu cheese and a light olive oil dressing, all of which I'm used to eating. Weird. Anyway, the allergy quick passed, thank Goodness, and I had the stuffed chicken with whipped potatoes and asparagus. The meal was exemplary. For dessert we had a choice of chocolate cake and strawberry shortcake, both of which were a hit. The strawberry shortcake is homemade and true to form: sweet biscuit, real strawberries in its own sauce and whipped cream. I usually prefer the sweeter version with pound cake but this dessert was phenomenal and was the perfect way to end a great meal and meeting. Now that I know about Blue Ridge Grill I'll definitely be back!

Great for a small celebratory dinner. Loved the downstairs area. Great waiter (Dragon) - very accommodating. We did a Prix Fixe menu. The trout was a huge portion and delicious! I would bring your parents.

Honestly, I don't understand the big deal. Service is great, I will say. Our waiter was the best part of the meal. Bread was the second best part--hot, crusty and salty. Mussels were ok--must have been a bad one in there because I was ill that night. "Kale salad" was not exactly kale salad...more "salad that includes kale among other lettuces". Flavor was good, but just was not what I was expecting. So much of the experience is based upon expectation. If it will be a mixed lettuce salad, just let me know up front. I'll be back because it is a hub for business, but never for a special occasion.

My wife and I went here for dinner around Valentine's Day. Nothing short of amazing. Our waiter was being trained, but was still exceptional and very knowledgeable about the menu. My wife ordered the Fried pickle chips for her appetizer. Not something you would expect from a high end place and it doesn't actually appear on the menu so you have to ask for it specifically. She wasn't disappointed at all. I don't care for pickles and even I didn't mind them. I had the lobster bisque. To be honest I've had better, but this was still pretty good. For dinner she ordered the duck breast and I had the grilled catch of the day (Red Snapper). The duck was excellent and came out perfectly mid-rare. My fish came out whole and was filleted table side. Our waiter was once again exceptional getting my fish to the plate. Overall a wonderful experience and we'll certainly come back.

Was brought here as an out-of-towner for Friday date night. Loved the easy-going cabin-like atmosphere- perfect for wintertime. The service was excellent throughout the meal and the server called us by our name the entire time. We tried the lobster gnocci to start- divine, creamy taste with a good amount of meat. Main course for me was the scallops with pea risotto- perfect bowl of creaminess. The scallops were cooked to perfection. Side dishes included the best mac n' cheese I have ever put in my mouth and some well-cooked sauteed spinach to round out the million other calories we downed. My date had the veal special which he took down in a jiffy (as you southerners would say). Usually I balk at the small size of dishes at this type of restaurant but each course was so well made (and so creamy) that I was absolutely stuffed and satisfied. A delicious bottle of Chardonnay rounded out the meal. Overall- a great experience. Next time we'll try to leave room for dessert.

Went for valentines day one year. Food was good. Pricey and too me kind of average but has so much competition in Atlanta.
So they've changed their menu...and their much anticipated changes are not so hot. The chocolate tart with hazelnut cream and choc sauce are not so hot...(at least not as hot as the previous lava cake.) The rich chocolate tart was gooey unlike a brownie could be...which is a good thing in my eyes...however the lump of hazelnut cream threw off the flavor profile...it was worse than cool whip, full of oils, feeling like ultra whip. I pray the pastry chef changes there mind...ice cream would go a long way on this decadent chocolate treat. Enough about dessert; the salmon was season with a buttered sauce, laid among romaine lettuce smothered in mussels & vegetable pieces. Corn souffle was well cooked, sauteed spinach was moist & dense...filet was cooked to perfection. Dessert completes the meal...but the meal was awesome so I can forgive them now that their desserts lack. Our server Eddie was awesome...customer service always reigns...

Bland food and bland server although the lodge feel of the restaurant does make me feel like I'm out west in the mountains somewhere. I invited my family here for brunch and we were sat promptly but it did take several passings of our server before it dawned on him we did not have drink orders in, or ever water on the table. Our server did not seen terribly concerned about this and that set the tone for the entire meal. I can take a server with no personality, so that's not a big deal-what was a big deal was the food. Everyone's egg dishes were overcooked and cold. There is nothing worse that burned eggs. And what wasn't overcooked was just kinda there- with no flavor. The potatoes, grits, biscuits, even the famed fried pickles- there was just nothing memorable about the meal. Because the server came back to check on us way after the food was dropped off, there wasn't much to do about the situation. For the price point, I would have expected not only better service, but food with some sort of distinction. At least the hostess was extra friendly.

Disclaimer - this review is based on my experience with one menu selection, as well as the service and ambiance during lunch. Was lucky enough to visit for lunch, and ordered the recommended Lobster Club Sandwich. OH MY GOD! I couldn't believe how good it was. Simply can't describe the perfect balance of the Lobster within a club sandwich. Lightly breaded, pan fried, getting hungry thinking about it. I'll tell you what - go have one, then see if you can describe it - unfu****g believably perfectly awesome!
Great food, great service. Dishes were a little pricey for lunch.

The server staff here is amazing. It reminds me of the Ritz Carlton but for dining. Every detail is well thought out and the food is just amazing. I have been here twice now, once for a formal meeting which was held downstairs in the wine room. This room was very nice and just large enough for a group of 30 to have a great seated meal. My second visit was for my mother's birthday. We can for brunch and it was just a great experience. You must indulge in the honey buttered biscuits. This place in a little pricey and dressy for dinner but still one of the best restaurants I have been to in Atlanta.

My wife and I got into Atlanta for favorite son Nicholas' homecoming game (of course he is our ONLY son), and wanted to repeat what we did a few months ago - arrive in time for lunch at favorite restaurant Canoe. What we found instead was a disaster area (a fire??) So as a second choice, I suggested Pano and Paul's (where she's been) or Blue Ridge (where she's not). So BRG seemed a logical choice. Little did I know that P&P's isn't even there any more! I'd forgotten the BRG as a Bentleys-parked-in-front kind of place (Swear neither Canoe nor Nava were quite that up-scalped), but hey, special occasion ("was it?") and so budget and value-proposition be damned. We arrived after 1 p.m. and there was still quite a bit of hub-bub, but we still got a nice table right away. My wife settled on the wild scottish salmon, and I, the poisson du jour, a mahi-mahi. Some sauvigon b to wash it down, and the chocolate lava cake for dessert. Here's our verdict: PRO's - food was hot - the mahi-mahi was a nice loin, which you'd expect at that price ($19 "blue plate") - piping hot bread (no choice for wheat or anything else, though) - both the M-M on a bed of Swiss chard and the salmon on Georgia peas ham were delicious, particularly the bed of peas - out of this world, although no way was that Tasso ham, Chef! - the wine/gl price was not outrageous for an upper-crust place like this ($7 something) CON's - the hitherto-abandoned value proposition - I don't mind the $19 "plates" (pretty small portion of maybe 5 oz. of M-M and 6 oz. of Salmon), or the $7 for 14 sprigs of asparagus, but did you really have to charge $2 extra for a tiny ramekin (1.5 oz?) of sauce Hollandaise? - service not as attentive as I'd expect for a place like this (never asked if we wanted bottled water, and after the tap water is poured, and we asked for lemon, said lemon was forgotten until reminded) Bottom-line - can't wait for Canoe to reopen again!

My husband and I dined at Blue ridge Grill for my belated birthday dinner. Our server, Mauricio, was wonderful. He offered excellent recommendations on our drink selections and dinner. They have updated their wonderful wine list on an iPad, which is just cool. We started with the mussels which were prepared perfectly. I had the flounder that was stuffed with herbs and cooked to perfection. My husband had the bone in rib eye. They grill their steaks over a wood-fire grill, and it was amazing. We shared a side of the corn souffle that was simple, yet decadent. We were treated to a complimentary birthday dessert that was a piece of chocolate heaven. The atmosphere upscale, yet laid back. We are looking forward to many return visits.

Went for lunch and had the lobster cobb salad. Good stuff. I like that they re-used beams from an old cotton mill from the 1890s. The massive picture of the rabbit is awesome. Dig it.

We had a great experience here. The trout, duck and filet were superb. Julie was excellent!!! She recommended the perfect wine and it tasted just like she said it would. We will definitely be back. We found the whole restaurant to be inviting and everyone wanted to make sure our dining experience was outstanding. A+++ (especially Julie!)

Came here for lunch and I have to give it 4.5 stars for the food because everything I had today was delicious. First off, the bread is great -- freshly baked and comes out nice and hot. Very good. Started off the meal with the Glazed Berkshire Pork Belly with braised white beans. 3 sizable pieces of seared pork belly. Cooked to perfection and with just the right amount of fat and meat. Delicious. I believe this dish was about $9. Then I had the scallops with mushroom risotto. The scallops were cooked very well -- it wasn't chewy and tasted very fresh. The risotto was nothing to rave about, but the 3 large scallops were more than enough. Price was about $23. Service was great. No complaints overall. A bit pricey, but the food is quality. Don't hate.

Stopped by for dinner mid-week after 7pm (this place is right off of the highway) - the parking lot of FULL of mercedes and lexuses (lexi?) and it looked like they only had valet - we didn't drive around back, so they may have had an open lot, not sure the crowd was interesting - overwhelmingly retirees with a healthy dash of business folks - what a sight! they certainly know how to start off the meal right - with warm, crusty, soft bread and a warm slab of butter (very important in my book - don't serve me cold bread and frozen butter) the roasted beet salad is quite interesting and good - it comes with multi-colored beets - I didn't know they even had yellow beets! I tried the two-course special which came with a small salad and chicken on al dente peas and rough cut bacon - everything's better with bacon! the corn souffle side was amazingly fattie-deliciousness with chunks of corn - apparently it is their most popular side dish (i could taste why!) - they certainly do not skimp on butter and salt here I loved their stealthy waiters - my water glass never had a chance to approach empty before they filled it and left it where I couldn't knock it over (apparently they also have clumsy-dar) at the end of they bring you chocolate covered mints - a nice, sweet touch to the meal!

We ate at Blue Ridge last night. Have not been there in a while. The serving staff is still amazing. The IPad wine list is a great addition and makes reviewing and selecting wine a much easier experience. The menu is tired. We had the lobster bisque--it was so rich and so reduced that between the two of us, we did not finish it. The portion was too large for the richness. My flounder was cooked perfectly as was my husband's steak. However, given the menu seems to be almost the same for the past 15 years, there were not surprises, nor was it memorable. Another expensive meal. However, if you have not been there..you should go at least once. The beef is amazing, the trout is amazing and the wine list should please almost anyone.

Had dinner at Blue Ridge Grill the other night. We sat at the bar and kicked off dinner with a martini. There were several other couples also eating at the bar, but not because the restaurant was full -- I just sometimes like change of pace from the usual table service. Let's get to the good stuff: 1. Bartender provided great service. 2. Lobster bisque was outstanding. 3. Scallops and halibut entrees were good. Not outstanding, but good. Love the rustic/cabin type atmosphere. 2 thumbs up to BRG. We'll be back.

Went to Blue Ridge Grill for Valentines Dinner. It was OK! We had a reservation but they were running behind, so we had to wait for a table. The ambiance at Blue Ridge put you back to the lumber shacks away from the city. Wonderful decor and a great setting. Love it. We ordered bisque (lobster) as starters. It was watery and not really what you would expect of a bisque. More like a lobster soup. The taste was great, for a soup. My girlfriend had the pork chop as a mains and I had the Filet Mignon. We had sauteed spinach as a side dish. We had a bottle of Syrah with the meal. The dishes were well prepared and very good. The wine should have been decantered but that was minor. For desert we had creme brulee. It was very good. Overall the food was good and the service was a little slower than you would be expect but OK.

Reservations were made but we had to wait for 30 minutes anyway. Fantastic table near the fireplace. I'm guessing that Atlanta has a thing for cooking duck rare. I ordered it med-well and received it rare anyway . Filet was super, but for 38.00 it better be. Side of Vidalia onions tasted like they were soaked in lighter fluid. Downright horrible . Everyone who ordered the steak was in agreement on this. Steaks come with no sides like a steak house, This is a problem as every other entree has sides. You have to order a family style side which most of the table does not need anyway. Desserts were good, and drinks were great. I think I will keep this on my lunch rotation, but seek out others for dinner.

I've been here twice - once for dinner and once for Sunday brunch. Let's start with dinner. I had tuna tartare (spelling?) for an appetizer. I've had better. The flavors didn't really blend well so it sort of tasted like raw fish salsa. Not great. I had crab cakes for my entree. Also not amazing. I think I'm spoiled after eating at Legal Seafood in Boston (it has the best crab cakes on the planet). Nothing seems to come close to their crab cakes. Sigh. On to brunch... The hot buns they serve are INCREDIBLE. Like, seriously, I was stuffing my face with those warm, gooey buns. I could barely eat half my entree by the time it came because I clearly over did it. I ordered eggs benedict because that is my absolute favorite breakfast on the planet. It was disappointing. I've had MUCH better. My sister had a pasta dish which was also not great. But the seafood soup (can't remember if it was a bisque or a chowder) was excellent. And my cousin enjoyed her burger with fries. I probably won't be back to this place primarily because it's expensive and the food doesn't live up to the prices.

Went for a business lunch with some out of town clients. We hit the lunch service a bit late so were able to get a table quickly. BRG tries hard to make you feel special, with everyone that approaches the table addressing whomever reserved the table by last name. Nice touch I guess for people who need that, but it was a bit much for me. Atmosphere is very comfortable, with a 1800's moutain hotel decor, (exposed log walls, big fireplace, etc.) The service was attentive, but at times seemed slow. We got our drinks quickly, but had to wait a good bit of time to place our order. The food came out in good time however. I had the Chicken Pot Pie special and was not disappointed. Some of our other guests had a burger and the shrimp and grits entree. Everyone seemed very pleased with their meal. I've eaten at BRG before, and feel the service we received was likely unrepresentative of normal service. Unfortunate, but it didn't ruin the experience, just make it less than delightful.

This place looks like a large old hunting lodge but without the stuffy/manly feeling. It actually feels quite classy and light. I've been once to eat a formal sit down dinner and a few times to sit at the bar with my mom for a glass of wine and appetizers. The food is expensive but has always been delicious and the staff has always been professional and attentive. The bartender is very friendly. I'd give it 5 stars if there were more/any vegetarian options but i understand that it is not that kind of restaurant so I cannot expect them.

Maybe it's just me, but I wasn't impressed by this place in the least. I know it's in a trendy, uppity area, but that did nothing to help the quality of the food. The food really was just meh to me. Kinda bland, portion sizes were those for the "rich and famous" anorexic celebrities that can't bear to eat more than a lettuce leaf for fear of gaining half a pound. Worse yet, our dessert came out with hair on it not once, but TWICE! Yes, I said twice! That right there is a bit fishy...me thinks they thought they removed the hairless portion of our dish and put it on a fresh dish but actually removed the wrong one. Pitiful... Let's not talk about the atmosphere or interior of the place - I felt like I was in some old folks country club of the south. There were folks dressed in suits and jewels that cost more than my SUV. Just not my cup of tea, might be okay for some folks but not me.

LOVE this place. This is one of my family's favorite restaurants and we use any excuse to go there. Ive dined here MANY times and have never had one negative thing to say about the food, or the service. It is a little pricey, but totally worth it.
Maybe I'm just becoming jaded. I mean, I have eaten out a lot lately. I do go to a lot of "upscale" places. And I'm consistently not impressed with what I get. I expected a lot from Blue Ridge Grill. I felt it fell short. The best: Mashed Potatoes Mango Sorbet Seared Tuna (I tasted and wish I had ordered myself) The worst: The "signature" horseradish crusted grouper I had was just ok The filet (I tasted) had an extremely heavy charred taste that I found unappealing (good I guess, if you like that sort of thing) Asparagus was bland The service was good, despite the fact that they forgot to submit our dessert order, meaning it took FOREVER to get our dessert, but they picked up that portion of our tab. The atmosphere was pleasant enough but about as far from my taste as you can get (very lodge-esque with a creepy rabbit dressed in hunting gear portrait staring down at me and horrendous blankets draped everywhere).

This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. It is simply the best! I always ask to go here with family for special occasions. The service is impeccable, and the food is top quality. The filet mignon is the staple for me, because as much as I love steak, and as many as I've tried over the years, this one (along with the tomato chutney) is the best I've ever had. No joke. The family-style sides are exceptional as well. Even the bread is good! I know that this is a really positive review, but I've never had a bad experience there.

Popped in for lunch today; I had not been in about 3 years and was excited to give it a shot. The service is impeccable and lunch during the week feels more like a country club than public restaurant. The staff seems to know everyone's name, and all the diners seem to know each other as well. Had the soup of the day - a lovely white bean soup garnished with fresh cracked pepper and a healthy dose of tasty olive oil. It was a puree with some whole beans and really hit the spot. For the entree I had the pot roast with root vegetables ,which was also fantastic. Wonderfully cooked pot roast in a well seasoned jus, with some scattered fingerling potatoes, halved brussel sprouts, and tiny carrots with the roots still attached. very enjoyable and a lot of food.

Had dinner there last night, 9/16. Food was good, not exceptional, ambiance was good again but not out of the ordinary for this price range. My wife had the pork loin, she thought it was dry. I had the duck which I thought was ok. Service was exceptional, our waitress was very attentive while not crowding or rushing us. Next time we are in Atlanta I would consider blue ridge grill again but will seek out a different restaurant.

Always a good place to eat! We had brunch there today, my partner wants them to bring back the quiche. Sundays are a little less pretentious. So if your looking for good food and service, try this place out for brunch!

My favorite, my old standby. This place never disappoints me. The service is comfortable and consistent, and the food is excellent. It feels like home to me--especially the porch off of the bar. This is a nice place for special occasions.

I really didn't mean to dine at Blue Ridge Grill. I was actually going to The Melting Pot in Kennesaw, but got into a car problem. So we pulled over, went to the nearest exit, and somehow found Blue Ridge Grill. My friends and I were going to wait for the towing car to come, but they said it would take about 3 hours and we were voracious - to the point where we were getting a headache and a stomach ache from hunger. So as a quick solution, we decided to go to Blue Ridge Grill. Nice decor, superb service, and sort of a dress code. Since my friends and I thought we were going to The Melting Pot, we weren't dressed anywhere near their guideline: Jeans and Graphic T-Shirts. (What a Nightmare!) Nonetheless, we got seated. We ordered the Crab Cakes, Seared Scallops, and Filet Mignon. They were oh-my-God-delicious, but I don't know whether I would have thought the same thing if I wasn't dying from hunger.

I'll keep this short because its a lunch review: The Good: Very nice and upscale setup - location, service, and setting was excellent. This is an excellent setting for any business lunch/dinner The Bad: Yes, it is expensive - for a $13-$17 entree, you shouldn't have to order family style sides The food was just okay and seemed small in portions No fountain drinks, only 8oz bottles Overall, it was okay, but I wouldn't go back for the food.

It's just always really, really good here. Great food and gracious service. We've been multiple times and always have a great experience.

This is an Atlanta establishment. Does not disappoint. I always opt for the specials here, as they are crafted with seasonally appropriate and tastefully on-point selections. Make sure you get one of their impressive salads as a prelude to your (presumably delicious!) entree. Save room for dessert. You'll want it!

This was my second visit (both lunch) with a group of friends. We book a private room downstairs (no room charge). The atmosphere is warm and elegant, appointed in nice woodwork, paintings, wine stored in cabinets and rich fabrics. The wait staff is attentive and accommodating. Entrees range from $18-26 appetizers and small salads are $10. The portions are reasonably sized. The food is fresh and the chef offers interesting combinations of ingredients that would please any gourmand. Sides are offered "family-style" for $10. You can also get a "vegetable plate" made of 4 sides of your choice. It does seem to take longer than I would expect for the food to come out of the kitchen. The valet parking is free. We like that they provide seperate checks, which many restaurants will not accommodate. The restaurant is tucked in between a gas station and strip mall, making it easy to passover, but don't, it is too good to miss.
It's a mountain retreat in the middle of the city. Imagine dining in a log cabin and being served opulent foods by a friendly, professional staff. Outstanding entrees -- I had a Creole version of shrimp and grits -- and mediocre side items, which are served family style. Every thing is rich (and fabulous), so enjoy in moderation. Be sure to save room for dessert (key lime tart).

I visited the Blue Ridge Grill for a girl's night out dinner and honestly it was just okay as far as I am concerned. They mostly have fish and steaks, I am allergic to fish and I try not to eat a lot of beef so I asked if they could do a chicken breast and I was accommodated (chicken is something they really only have on their lunch menu). Everything here is ala carte. As a table we basically ordered all of the sides on the menu since they are served family style. The mac and cheese was okay, it was pretty rich, but I didn't eat much of it. I also had the greens and the potatoes which were both very good. The service was good, but the place was pretty crowded, they take reservations so I would recommend having a reservation on the weekends. Overall a good experience but it was pricey, not sure it was worth the price, but good.

The Blue Ridge Grill is a high-end southern-style food kinda place. I had the grilled Georgia Trout with arugula and dill and found it to be very good. Trout is easy to over cook and this was done perfectly. The sides are served family style and we selected the corn souffle and sauteed spinach. The corn souffle was awesome! I could make a meal of that side dish! For dessert I had their bread pudding and it was served warm with a very good sauce. Yummy. You'll find me eating hear again!

Ate here recently on a business trip and I have to say that I was impressed. The food was excellent, as was the service. We had a really small issue with something on the butter that was brought out, and they ended up comping our entrees over it. I thought that was over the top, but it was defintely appreciated. A quick rundown: - Fresh baked bread, awesome - Pot Roast - One of the best meals I've had in a while. Fall apart tender and perfectly seasoned. - Dessert - Poached pear. Really light and tasty, not too sweet. The wine list is really great, lots of interesting stuff on there. All in all, an outstanding meal.

Alyson and I went to Blue Ridge Grill on Monday night to celebrate two years of coupledom and had a great time. The wine selection was great (we had Sancerre from their cellars and a bottle of Merkin Vineyards Red from ours; we didn't get any grumbling from the staff for bringing our own wine) and the service was phenomenal (thanks, Steve). We had four courses and they were each cook to perfection. We started with the Pork Belly, which was possibly the best thing I've had the pleasure of tasting, and the Quail. The latter being only partially deboned so we had to work for that a little more. Salads were as expected and our steaks were spot on medium-rare prime cuts. Dessert was chocolate lava cake which I would think of more like a chocolate souffle. No complaints there. I would definitely return, especially for a nice occasion. Also, If anybody knows the story behind the painting hanging above the fireplace in the main dining room I would love to hear it.

This is a great place for larger groups. Say 8 people or more. This is because the downstairs is divided into little rooms with pull curtains. Hence, it's private and very fun. The food is excellent as is the service and wine. I will say it's pretty costly, so that's a big consideration. But I'd recommend it for groups on special occasions.

I visited Blue Ridge Grill for the first time recently, and it was great! The food was great, & service impeccable! In true Bones fashion, I had an amazing filet, cooked to perfection. The only curiosity is the wine glasses at the bar. They are not representative of a restaurant of this type, with thick glass, and wide rims, that make full enjoyment of the flavor a challenge. Go for the gold, Blue Ridge, and buy grown up glasses for everyone, not just those who buy the bottle!

Just when you thought old school Buckhead had been washed away or buried beneath an avalanche of modernity, you stumble across the Blue Ridge Grill, which settles your fears that the blue-jacketed, thick-accented, heavy-handed, slow-as-honey element of the Old South was a thing of the past. Amid a blizzard of wainscotted and flanneled-walls adorned with framed illustrations of river fish and old hounds, BRG offers up waiters in coats, hostesses with young smiles, and indulgently rich cuisine, without insisting on any needless formality. The restful feeling one gets in the seeming hull of this cabin-like restaurant conjures the charm of a slower, distant life. The lobster bisque sits still and aromatic, awaiting the silver slice of a heavy spoon, and the eggs benedict sits glimmering in the lemon light, its serrano ham infused and aged with delicious salts. Even the hash browns have the taste of rich sodiums. The coffee is fresh and steaming, the cream cold and thick, and the accompanying biscotti diminutive but delicious. That's about all you need to know of BRG. The rest should be experienced firsthand. It's as good a place to unwind into an indulgent meal as any in town.

This restaurant has a nice, cozy lodge kind of atmosphere. It's upscale, yet several patrons come in wearing jeans. I don't eat seafood so I found the menu to be limited. The food is tasty though and this would be a good place to take visitors to enjoy an upscale, yet comfortable experience. The prices are on the high side. ClassyButCheap.com

Food is straight bitchin. Had some of the best filet mignon I've had in a long time. Solid wine list. Service is excellent; don't fear the valet line, it can get long. Plenty of nearby parking at the Houston's down the way or the surrounding strip malls. The crowd is corporate and Buckhead/West Paces types. Works as a (very nice) date place, or a good meal when the parents/family are in town.

Blue Ridge Grill has always held a special place in my heart. My dad took our family to dinner here on my 16th birthday. Over the years, this has been one of my favorite special occasion restaurants. Be sure to make a reservation. This place is a true staple in the Buckhead dining scene, and tables are hard to come by walking in on a Friday and Saturday. After all, its sister restaurant is Bones. The ambiance is slightly different though, more mountain house than corporate lunch. This restaurant could be nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. We loved seeing the wine list on an iPad, and the house wine is exceptional. Besides 5-star filets, my favorite items on the menu include grilled Georgia Trout, skillet-seared mussels and a sumptuous corn soufflé. Definitely splurge on dessert. Blue Ridge Grill, I heart you.

If you are looking for a nice secluded place , this is the spot . Robert and Brian were the bartender , the service was great ! They were very friendly and Brian was super cute!!!

(5)Rusty J.
Just slid in after a soccer game and thought we would be under dressed...They don't care what you are wearing and welcome you without any pompous attitude like some-other Bulkhead snobberies! Great steaks, great wine and awesome service from the grand waiter with 4*'s.
(5)John B.
(5)Laurie F.
(4)A C.
Great food. Very high end. Fantastic waiter.
(5)Charles A.
Service was phenomenal...I recommend the trout and the corn soufflé. The view to The OK Cafe is my only knock on the place. I love great service so that trumps the bad view for me.
(5)Gerry B.
Love this place. Fine dining in a southern traditional atmosphere. Drinks on the porch are always a treat. Great fish and steaks.
(5)J B.
(4)Emily M.
(2)Brian R.
Fantastic! The fried pickles are great, as is the fresh bread. We had the salmon and hanger steak both were cook perfect. Wait staff was very attentive. We will be back
(5)Joesph P.
I went here on my anniversary and the staff at Blue Ridge Grill went all out. We were very impressed and will be going back regularly. They were recommended from a trustworthy friend for their excellent cuisine and top-notch service. Blue Ridge Grill did not disappoint! Thanks again.
(5)Kim G.
Amazing!!!!! My favorite filet in Atlanta Thanks for being so great, also love the customer service. Its so important for success!
(5)TS T.
(4)Ali R.
The food is great from the corn souffl to the pecan stuffed chicken. Great short ribs. Great decor and wait staff. Only draw back is the small dinner menu compared to other places but that is how they excel on what they do offer. Try them out I'm sure you'll like it
(4)Tiffany H.
(4)Jimmy R.
(5)Megan M.
I ate here for work and was blown away. I often do not eat at establishments of this level but I loved it. I did not feel out of place. The food was delicious and worth every penny. I ate the lobster gnocchi and had some asparagus along with macaroni and cheese. I would recommend it for anyone!
(5)Brian M.
My wife and I ate there last Friday night, very nice experience and well worth the price. We highly recommend you try it if you're not already a fan. We'll be back. Dress casual is fine, take your time and try the corn chowder.
(5)Peter M.
(5)David K.
I always love Blue Ridge Grill. Get there early for a cocktail and enjoy the ambiance of a first class steakhouse. The tuna tartar is a wonderfully decadent starter and the on-the-bone steaks will have you asking for a doggie bag no matter how hungry you are.
(4)Keisha R.
(5)Andrew K.
Great for a small celebratory dinner. Loved the downstairs area. Great waiter (Dragon) - very accommodating. We did a Prix Fixe menu. The trout was a huge portion and delicious! I would bring your parents.
(4)S E.
(2)Adam F.
(5)Kathryn E.
(5)Mike W.
Went for valentines day one year. Food was good. Pricey and too me kind of average but has so much competition in Atlanta.
(3)Joe R.
Nice cozy atmosphere with wood and dark colors. Very friendly service. Georgia Trout entree was excellent. Fresh fish with nice flavors. Corn soufflé was to die for. Also had mushroom side dish which was also very good.
(5)Catherine A.

This was the first fine dining establishment I came to with my fiancé after moving to the ATL. Great place! A lodge-like atmosphere, the waiter referred to me by my last name, wine list is on an iPad, and all in all it's a great place for a romantic dinner. I highly suggest the pan seared goat cheese... Incredible. My only complaint was my filet mignon. I'm one of those people who likes a thick cut filet which is typical of most steakhouses. Their filet is much smaller and is seasoned (in my opinion) too much. A filet mignon tastes incredible on its own... Too much seasoning ruins it for me. Keep that for the sirloins and flank steaks. My fiancé's salmon was outstanding and she said the lobster bisque soup definitely lives up to the other reviews.

Great food, great service. Dishes were a little pricey for lunch.

Great business lunch environment. Consistently great food & service. For groups, reserve the private rooms downstairs.

Great table next to the fire on a cold night. Great wine and patient staff lead to a satisfying business meeting.

Was there tonight. I've never had a better filet.. Great cut, grilled perfectly. Bread is amazing. Service was both attentive and invisible. Pricey, but you get an amazing meal with plenty of atmosphere, comfort, and VIP treatment. I'll be back.

(4)Chandler V.
we've been fans of this great Atlanta restaurant since it opened - great food and service - great for business lunches and for private groups ask about the rooms downstairs - be sure to come for dinner - the steaks are great too
(5)Daniela S.
(1)Abbey J.
LOVE this place. This is one of my family's favorite restaurants and we use any excuse to go there. Ive dined here MANY times and have never had one negative thing to say about the food, or the service. It is a little pricey, but totally worth it.

While my family eats at Blue Ridge like it's their second kitchen, I have "only" eaten here about 10-15 times. I wanted to wait until I had a chance to try their Sunday brunch before adding my review here. Although I ordered two items that are always available, I was very pleased with the brunch dishes that I sampled. I would not go so far as to call the décor simple; but, it is rather unassuming. The space is rustic and decorated with a log cabin motif. The upstairs is spacious with high ceilings. For brunch, we ate downstairs in the newly renovated private room(s). In addition to moveable partitions, there is a small seating area where you can plop down on a couch/chair. The food at Blue Ridge is fairly consistent. Every now and then, I've encountered a dish that I felt was poorly prepared, but not egregiously so. For this past meal, there were about 18 of us split between two tables. I thought our servers were very nice and attentive, but the pacing of the meal was a bit off. This leads me to believe the kitchen was not doing their part. Both of our servers were friendly and informative. In fact, the wait staff here often is. They are a nice change from the maitre d and hostess, who have a tendency to come across a little hoity-toity. I was feeling seafood so I went with the lobster bisque and lobster club sandwich. The flavor of both was fantastic; however, they were both lukewarm - a complaint several others in our party had. The ingredients were fresh and balanced while the presentation was excellent. Our sides were the three cheese macaroni, corn soufflé, and grilled asparagus. They were wonderful, though I have sporadically witnessed an over salted side. I had the pleasure of tasting the Eggs Benedict and the corned beef hash. I was impressed with both, aside from the temperature issue. The Serrano ham and chipotle hollandaise sauce was a unique twist that I found delicious. I am not a huge fan of corned beef hash; but, the poached egg on top was a nice touch. Several people have identified Blue Ridges trout dish to be the best of its kind in the city. It is grilled and served with dill and arugula. Overall, this is a very good restaurant with really solid service. If you are looking for classic American cuisine with subtle twists - this is a great spot to visit.

(5)jimmy s.
(4)John F.
(3)Matt F.
Always a good place to eat! We had brunch there today, my partner wants them to bring back the quiche. Sundays are a little less pretentious. So if your looking for good food and service, try this place out for brunch!
(5)Anna S.

(4)Robert C.
(3)Michelle A.
It's just always really, really good here. Great food and gracious service. We've been multiple times and always have a great experience.
(5)Lindsay C.
(5)Molly B.
(4)Georgia B.
We chose this restaurant for my mother-in-law's birthday and it was perfect. The food was excellent--we had trout and salmon with sides of corn soufflé and sautéed spinach. I loved the trout, it was cooked perfectly and I wish I could go back tomorrow and order it again. They brought a birthday dessert for mom and we also ordered desserts and coffee which were a great end for the meal. The service was outstanding. They charmed my 86 year old mother-in-law and made it a memorable night for everyone.
(4)Rebecca O.
(4)Kara G.
(3)Sean F.
(5)Stu G.
Pricey. All your standbys are here. Well done. Classy cabin atmosphere.
(3)Tim O.
(4)Anthony B.
THE BAR IS GREAT. the food is "old" and the service is immature. we liked the time we spent there. we would not go back. A
(3)Morgan C.

Believe it or not, this site was once a 7-11 and I actually met Joey Ramone there(when it was still a 7-11) around 3 am one morning in the late 1980's.
(4)Brett P.
(4)Susan R.

(4)Kim B.
