I had a late lunch here and really enjoyed the restaurant and the food. The service was very friendly and attentive. For an appetizer I shared a portion of 3 bacon wrapped dates. They were delicious. I highly recommend them. For lunch we had two different sandwiches, the club and the pastrami. They were both very good. The selection of sides is very ample and varies from healthy salads and other vegetable options to less healthy sweet potato or french fries. The only downside was the sandwiches were a bit pricey for lunch.

Ate here for brunch and food was really good. Our group was 7 and each ordered different dishes. No one had anything bad to say, in fact, we all devoured. From the lox and bagel to huevos rancheros to eggs savannah, everything was fresh and exquisite. My favorite the eggs: two poached eggs, toasted english muffin, fresh georgia shrimp and crab cakes, sautéed spinach, creole hollandaise. WOW. absolutely delicious. #winning The $1 mimosas are not really advertised and are available after 12pm. Service was not the fastest, but very good. Would definitely return when in ATL. Happy brunchin'

It's been getting quite humid around Atlanta, so I opted to stay close to my hotel for the night and ended up at Article 14 for dinner. Had the grilled peaches with a salad. The meyer lemon vinaigrette was tasty. Peaches were firm and not overly sweet. Wanted their pisco grapefruit drink, but they were out of both. Ended up with the summer wildflower gin drink. The servers were great, but there was a darn long hold up for my chocolate lava cake. Took forever! Servers were nice about it, but it didn't make my wait any shorter. Plus then there was an incorrect billing issue which also took awhile to get my servers attention to get it fixed. Overall, a nice place for a quiet dinner.

This is place for brunch on a sunday morning. Ambiance is great. love the huge windows that let in the natural light. Service and food is great. I ordered the omelette, side of biscuits and $1 mimosas (only after 12:30pm). I def will be coming back and trying more dishes on the menu. Plus, they have complimentary valet parking. You dont need to find street parking. :) huge perk!

My friends and I came here for brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. We found out they were serving $1 mimosas and bloody marys (must order entree) so I instantly made a reservation. I had the grilled steak and eggs (poached). Eggs cane out perfect and the steak was adequately cooked (med rare). My friend really enjoyed her trout, specially the green beans. Others ordered the angus beef burger (thick juicy patty!), eggs savannah, and eggs benedict. They were all pretty good but my friend said she's had better benedicts. Mimosas were tasty but it was clear there wasnt much champagne in them. But then again, we were getting $1 mimosas so they were quite satisfying for the price. The ambience was wonderful as well. Open, relaxing, and sophisticated. We also really liked the natural lighting coming in from the windows.

I'm visiting Atlanta for only two days and after reading the Yelp review I asked around and the feedback was positive. So I decided to try their lunch special: Pan Seared Turbot with a summer succotash salad and curry vinaigrette. The mix of flavor tasted very refreshing. The fish was fresh and the vinaigrette delicious. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and attentive. Price was $15 for the fish, which seemed fine but a bottle of still water was $5.00, a little expensive for my taste.

Article 14 was within walking distance of the hotel for my friend's bachelorette party. It was a convenient location that took reservations and actually allowed us to decorate our table of 10+ for dinner. Service was great. Our waitress was attentive to fill glasses even if only a few sips were taken. Honestly, the food was just ok. Nothing wow. Most of my table ordered the pot roast and they said it was good. The carrots were maybe still too crunchy for being cooked. Nothing in the entree section really jumped out at me, but on the small apps side, I ordered the Thai Coconut Curry Mussels which were delicious. I only wished they had provided me a smaller fork to eat the mussels and a spoon so I could sip the curry. The curry wasn't too thick, so fairly watery, but the flavor was really strong which is really needed for mussels. I also had the broccolini as a side. It wasn't nearly as spicy as I thought it would be, but a good side dish for greens if you don't want something plain like haricot verts (green beans) or brussel sprouts (which I like making myself). I'm wondering if Article 14 is better suited as a brunch place since that seems to be what most people come here for. You can't really go wrong with Article 14 for dinner since it's got the variety of proteins for dinner entrees. Most of them just didn't appeal to me since they seemed so standard. Nevertheless, great service that I would come back if I were in the area. Maybe for brunch.

Came for brunch. Horrible service + bad food: 1. Slow and unapologetic service: egg shell in both of my poached eggs. - Manager comes by and says, "is everything ok?" - Us: "there are egg shells in the eggs" - Her: "oh ok, did you want me to get you another?" - Me: "...no" - (after all, high likelihood of repeat egg shells) - Her: "oh ok, so is everything else perfect then? *smiles* ....I'm sorry what? Yeah..this happened. 2. Price: Cheap drink specials but watered down. Food itself not particularly cheap. 3. Food: Took 60min... for unappealing toast, and overly vinegared poached eggs. Chicken sausage patties looked like the doggy patties I serve my dog. At best, frozen chicken sausage. Would give this place negative stars if I could...

The food was acceptable. The portion size was insulting. $22 for 3 scallops and 5 stalks of asparagus? How am I supposed to nibble on 3 scallops so that I'm in sync with my guest? We tried to order espresso but they had none to offer.

Classily cozy, scrumptious, and very accommodating. I definitely dig this Midtown gem. We dropped in on the Saturday evening of Pride weekend. All of the action was a few streets over, closer to the park and 10th street, so it was pretty quiet inside. There were about four or five tables. The host appeared to be a bit bored, and he immediately perked up when we walked through the glass doors. He put on his silliest British accent and welcomed us to Article 14. We suppressed our chuckles. It was clearly an act, but we did not want to take that 1% chance of laughing at a real Brit or making him feel uncomfortable. We played along a bit, and smiled at his comical wit. As he led us through the dining room, past the classy bar area and into a round, cushy booth, his British accent transitioned into a thick, Southern drawl. We were charmed by this fun and quirky host. Our booth was situated under a wall of hand drawn faces. Political faces, no doubt. They all have that confident, party proud swag look to them. The long bar is the ultimate setting for a sophisticated happy hour date. The intimate little lamps situated at each seat make for a sleek and sexy atmosphere. This evening happened to fall on the same night as game 2 of the ALCS in which my beloved Orioles were playing the Royals, so I politely asked the server behind the bar if she might be able to change one of the two large flat screen TVs above the bar from college football to the game. She politely obliged without hesitation since the other patrons were not so engrossed in the games. This earned the place major bonus points right off the bat. I had heard / read rave reviews of the Article 14 cocktails, so I was eager to taste one of the specialties. I inquired with our server for a recommendation, and he spoke highly of the Midtown breeze - a refreshing mix of Aylesbury Duck vodka, St. Germain, grapefruit, and thyme. The portion of the pour was a little bit smaller than I would have liked, but it was absolutely delicious. Just the right amount of sweet with a bite. My two dining companions ordered cocktails, as well - the Old Fashioned, and the Bramble. Both were pleased with their selections, but equally a bit disappointed in the little portion. I was really excited to see the grilled octopus on the small plates menu, so I asked our server for his thoughts. He explained that the meat is marinated for at least 24 hours before it is grilled to perfection, and the result is a flavorful taste sensation. I was sold. I ordered this with a side of asparagus. The other two went in for the burgers and fries. We got pretty quiet once we dug into our plates. We were all happy customers. The portions for our meals were spot on. I had just enough to fill me up without feeling totally stuffed. The texture of the octopus was perfect. Tender, but not too chewy. And that marinade process was well worth it... incredible and flavorful and savory. It was served with a refreshing and juicy grape tomato salad of sorts, which complimented the spice of the marinade oh so well. The side of asparagus was cooked well - not too mushy, not too crisp, just the right amount of burnt. My thumbs are up in the air for Article 14. I have some spots in Midtown that are tough to beat (the Lawrence, Empire State South), and that's the only reason why I can't bring myself to rank it with a fifth star. But I would highly recommend this establishment for a solid meal, refined atmosphere, friendly service, and a scrumptious (albeit tiny) cocktail.

No wait. Saturday night at 9. Service was very friendly and the setting was nice. My lady, Ordered the salmon and it was incredibly pink, the came over and asked how everything was. It was explained ok, however the salmon was rare. She sent it back to "work it up" it came back once again rare. For the value, the other salmon mine was also rare and i suffered through it before the manager arrived. I've been ok with rare salmon as I enjoy sushi. However as a cooked piece of fish, should be just that cooked.

Had prosciutto and cheese sandwich w/ over easy egg w/ Brussel sprouts. Delicious! And a glass of wine. Having more wine options in the 8-10$ category would have been nice. Boyfriend had veggie burger and roasted mini potatoes. Also great!

Love, love, love. Despite the pretension when you walk in (judgey eyes to the max from the hostess!), Article 14 is a gorgeous and comfortable place to grab a drink. The cocktails are all phenomenal, particularly the Moscow Mule, which is served in a traditional copper mug. Though the cocktails are pricey ($12-14) and prices are not listed on the menu, they are strong pours and well crafted. Not an everyday spot, bot a truly worthwhile splurge. And, the atmosphere is pretty hard to dislike too, with an expansive bar, exceedingly comfortable bar stools, beautiful wall of bourbons of all shades and colors, and some deep booths setting the stage for a dark, classy and intimate evening. This is a great spot for pre-dinner drinks, as we were able to show up at 6:30 on a Saturday to find a nearly deserted restaurant, which allowed our large group to easily find seats at the bar and expedited our drink service and check procurement. The complimentary valet is an appreciated touch, and both the valet and pedestrian entrance are both on 14th street.

Sunday Boozy Brunch! Another great yelp find! The restaurant has an intimate feel modern feel, with a class bar that features tons of whiskey. ( I hear they do this thing called bourbon and bites one day out the week, so I'll def return to review that) For the food; I ordered the steak and eggs combo. The salsa verde or chimichurri sauce that is served on top of the eggs were very yum! Steak cooked to the right temps true and they allowed me to substitute the oven roasted potatoes for French fries :) $1 mimosas with the purchase of an entree! Def will become a frequent customer. I love mimosas! *TIP* complimentary valet parking lot adjacent to restaurant, but must get ticket validated inside

Just had a fantastic brunch. Drinks were perfection. We had a very gingery Pimms and a 75 South-both complex, balanced and potent. Crabby eggs with spinach and shrimp and grits couldn't have been better. Like the rounded booths and lighting. The charming bartender doubled as our server and was a pleasant accompaniment to our experience. Look forward to the next visit! Update 2/15 Had the same dishes and drinks and they were fine but not fab like before. Pimms cup was overpowered with cucumber, which was disconcerting and strange! Wouldn't return without a scoutmob. Cheers-

The interior of this place is really cute and quaint. Myself and a girlfriend dined in for the Sunday Supper. Needless to say, we were both pretty disappointed. Our server was a sweetheart and explained the dishes thoroughly, but the food was just lacking. The service was slow and my braised beef ribs were not hot. I found a piece of plastic in my grits, but didn't want to make a stink so I just stopped eating them at that point. My friend complained that her chicken was dry and needed some type of sauce to go with it. I more than likely won't be going back to Article 14. I am curious to see how long it will stay in business.

Came here for a Sunday birthday brunch and was very pleased. The food was very good and of high quality. The prices are pretty high for brunch, but when you factor in $1 mimosas, it ends up being a very nice deal. Nice location, nice decor, and free valet. Our server seemed out of it or just slow. But She wasn't bad enough to prevent me from coming back.

Cozy decor, easy complimentary valet parking in the garage right next door to the restaurant and great cocktail/spirit collection. A good old fashion, but the bitters are store bought and not made in house. They have a Manhattan assembly option, which is cool but personally I wanted to see what ideas they had rather than me experimenting on a $12 cocktail. Items on the menu are not unique, and feel strangely almost the exact same as some other restaurants in the area. The restaurant is very small but still manages to accommodate 1-2 large groups. However, the acoustics makes the room boom with echoes and it was almost impossible to hear the person sitting right next to me. Cute place with friendly staff, but there's definitely better places to chill and have good food/cocktails in Atlanta.

Article 14 may be my new favorite Midtown establishment. On a Saturday night, I showed up a bit early to meet Atlanta's own "Bar Ninja". Leo was fantastic. He whipped up a fantastic knock off version of an Old Fashioned, with a sugared grapefruit peel. The Bar Ninja continued to knock our socks off with a specialty shot affectionately titled "Bubblegum & Rainbows". Seriously, the Bar Ninja is one of the best bartenders in the A-town. Now let's talk about the food. This joint has $1 deviled eggs, y'all. Like, "I would like just two deviled eggs" and that's only $2! What a deal! I also enjoyed my spiced pecans, green salad, and bites of my friends lobster salad. The bread pudding was a delicious dessert. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Article 14 for more crafted cocktails and scrumptious snacks!

VERY swank and modern chic atmosphere. Great for fashion watching! Corey, the bartender makes a MEAN drink. He concocted some sort of knock-off version of a Mimosa, that was out of this world. He's very engaging and handsome, too! The food? Well, let's just say that this is a place I'd consider coming to meet friends for drinks before going to the Woodruff or some other evening entertainment, and NOT to eat. Certainly NEVER again for Sunday brunch. Basic, drab, and tasteless food that SOUNDS and LOOKS great. Sidenote: the food is waaaaaaay (as in overtly) overpriced. You're paying a LOT to people watch and have great drinks in a sexy atmosphere.

This is great bar right down the street from me! They cater to adults and not the children rift raft from crescent. Service: Bartender is really nice and makes excellent suggestions. They are very attentive. Food: I had the scallops and a couple of other small bites. Everything was very tasty! Atmosphere: I love it. This is truly an adult bar. Nice and quiet and dark. A great place to come unwind after work. Drinks: They have quite a wine selection. They have tons of craft cocktails. I had 75 SOUTH the perfect light, fruity and sparkly start to the night with some southern inspiration. this champagne cocktail features cathead honeysuckle vodka, strawberries, fresh lemon, and is topped with bubbly. It was absolutely delicious. I think this will be one of my new favorite spots. I can see me coming here a lot!

Came for an early brunch with a bridal party. Food was great but unfortunately service was mediocre. Apparently the table we were seated at had to be set up for another party. We were rushed out after Only having dined for an hour. An hour for 8 ppl to eat. Seriously?! The waiter was constantly pushing us along and it ruined my opinion of article 14. We ended up leaving and heading somewhere to enjoy the rest of our Sunday. Overall great food just don't expect to enjoy the place if they need the table for other ppl.

Loved it! I had a bourbon drink: Smoke and Mirrors to start - a good mixed cocktail that's not at all sweet. The bacon wrapped dates stuffed with cheese were so good i need to find out how to make them. For dinner the burger was absolutely delicious. Pair it with sweet potato fries and kale salad and you have a winning combination. You shouldn't have room left but if you do, order the lava cake. Yum !

I had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant but it was just Meh for me. I went with two colleagues. We were promptly greeted and seated. The service started off well. Two of us ordered the daily soup (salmon bisque) and daily tacos (flank steak). The other ordered the burger with a salad. The soups came but the salad did not. We assumed that the server had put the salad as a substitution for the side of fries. The soup was very tasty with large chunks of salmon. When the meals came it was a little disappointing. The salad was not delivered and had to be requested. The bowl of rice and peas was dominant on the taco plate. The tacos were small with only one small piece of flank steak in each. They had to be drained because there was an abundance of water (from the slaw like topping?) on them. They were good but not impressive, especially since they were the special. The burger, according to my colleague, was wonderful and how a burger is supposed to taste. Again, I have to comment at how surprising I find it that it takes so long to get a check at lunchtime. It took us a good while to catch our server's eyes to let her know that we were ready to leave.

Solid meal in a nice atmosphere. Based on other reviews and the website I was expecting something a little different. This place feels like it is an old library or the mens lounge at a club. couches, small tables and round booths. Nice but just not what I thought. We had dinner here in the middle of the week (maybe a Tuesday?) so it was not very crowded. Our server was attentive and warm at first but towards the end of the night seemed like she just wanted to go home. A little disappointing but it didn't ruin the meal. Good selection of wine by the bottle and glass. Also had a good beer selection for the craft beer drinker at the table. They were out of a couple of beers but he still found one he liked. Our table started with the Pimento Cheese which was excellent. I prefer it to be less chunky but that's just my taste. I had the steak and it was fine. Nothing earth shattering but properly cooked. The burger was huge and reported to be very tasty. Biggest hit at the table was the pot roast! Not something you often see on restaurant menu's but was nice looking and tasty! Would recommend for a date or quiet dinner with friends. Was a very mellow and subdued vibe.

I was surprised at how large the restaurant is. The ambience is warm and intimate and the decor is well appointed. I had gone with a friend for happy hour so I cannot review their dinner service. What I did enjoy was the extensive list of very well-crafted cocktails and the talented & friendly waitstaff. The drinks were equally tasty and pricey. If you enjoy whiskey and bourbon they have a very robust selection. We also ordered some small plates which were tasty, except for the brussel sprouts which were a little undercooked and flavorless. Definitely will be going back for more happy hours.

They always have a great bourbon selection here (most likely due to CSS Arianne Fielder starting their bar program). Food is always good. Big fan of the deviled eggs and the meatloaf.

DELICIOUS! came here for midtown restaurant week and had a lovely dinner. Heirloom tomato salad was on point. Steak was done exactly the way we ordered it. Dessert was sweet but not super sugary. Wine was good (extensive list with california and italian and french wines), so were the cocktails. Strong but you couldn't taste the alcohol. The ambience was great too, and so was the service. I would go again even if it wasn't for restaurant week.

My pick for a drink in midtown any day. Valet parking takes the hassle out of trying to find a spot in prime Atl area. Service and food are great although the duck friend rice the last time was a tad bit too oily. Drinks are superb - try the 75 south sometime but their choice of whiskies and bourbons is fantastic. Brunch outside on the weekend is my fave!

Been here twice, both times for brunch --- both times had great service! First time, we sat outside when the weather was nice, service guy was really friendly and kept our drinks filled and bread supplied, superb! Food was Fried Chicken with Corn and Biscuits which my friend really liked, said it was juicy and delicious. I ordered the Steak with Potatoes and Egg, also tasted awesome, steak was perfectly done as well as the sunny side up egg. Second time was also good service woman, fulfilled our wish to sit indoors where we had a nice view of the street of people walking etc, great location! Parking is available at the lot next door, not sure the cost or if it's validated for first 1-2 hours. Chairs were comfy and the inside decor is nice/modern, not sure about the large wall of drawn photos - weird. Anyhows, we ordered - my friend got the Steak with Potatoes and Egg this time since last time it was so good when I have her a bite. I ordered the Crab Omelet which really wasn't an omelet but like a sandwich, wasn't very good - the sauce was overwhelming, made the crab meat soggy yet it still tasted dry/old/chewy...the Potatoes and Eggs on top were good. My friend also ordered a small soup, and said it was good. Both times there, the drinks were great - wish the orange juices came in a larger glass, it's only about a small narrow champagne glass which isn't enough for the meal, or actually while waiting for the meal to arrive. So far definitely recommend, both times I bought a Scoutmob Experience. Would love to try dinner, but actual prices are quite expensive (for me).

Poor bartender. Poor service representing a 5 star company. I hate to write this but this gentlemen deserves it. Never throw me the bill and say nothing after my glass was empty. Big mistake.

Had lunch here today. Ate the lunch special flounder and couscous with date bacon appetizer. Food was delicious and service was attentive. Will add this to my must list next time I'm in Atlanta.

My fiancé and I used the Scoutmob deal here for brunch. It was great! The atmosphere is very nice but casual, and our waiter was very friendly, down to earth, and attentive. The food was excellent. I got the trout with arugula, which was just incredible and probably the best fish I've had in quite a while. My fiancé got the shrimp and grits, which was also great. Portions were decently sized, although if you're starving you probably want to get an appetizer. The bar is a huge draw here; I ordered a version of an old fashioned, which was good and very smooth but didn't deliver quite the kick I was looking for. Overall, a great experience. Use the scoutmob deal if you can, but be warned it's incorrectly described on the app; you get up to $58 of food (minus alcohol) if you use it, not just what the app tells you you're limited to. Still, overall the deal is totally worth it.

Beautiful and elegant space with attentive yet not intrusive service. Grab a table near the wall of windows for a view of Peachtree or take a seat at the bar. Recommend for brunch - start your day with a mimosa and steak and eggs. My friend enjoyed that dish and I tried the grilled trout and arugula salad. Solid flavors and a good business meeting place only if I am in the area.

It was good - and the principles in the restaurant are great (quality, local, service) - we ordered tapas style - and nothing really blew us away. In fact, most of it was underwhelming. We will come back for a full dinner to give a 2nd chance - hopefully it will have improved! Side note - when we visited, we were sent to the wrong location due to a incorrect address on their Yelp listing. We told the management - as this can be a real issue - especially in Atlanta traffic.

Love the name. The location is ok and maybe its me but the crowd seemed stuffy. I was there for a special event but decided to hang out at the bar instead. The food was just alright but the cute choe string fries were the highligh of the evening. They had a few specialty drinks that I sampled but ran out of ingredients to create the an actual drink for me. Weird but whatever, I highly doubt I'll go here on my own. I just wasn't excited about anything but the name.. Go figure.

Meh. For the price of this place, the food is just not that great. You're better off going to a trusted staple like Empire State South or Ecco. Article 14 disappoints.

Perhaps it's because I have a sweet tooth, but my meal at Article 14 was experience, after experience, after experience... Let us begin with...well, to begin with, no bread. But, I've always said if you can't nail a bread course, it's probably best to skip a bread course, and I left full so I'll overlook this transgression here, since my appetizer was to me within 5 minutes. They also didn't stock Pimm's, but almost no one stocks Pimm's. Okay, NOW let us begin with the appetizer, titled simply, 'Bacon, Dates and Blue cheese' this is thing was a work of culinary art. You had a soft, sweet date, covered with crispy, salty bacon, with a blue cheese crumble that added that punch of flavor and just to make it wonderful, there was a drop of siracha for each serving. Sweet, spicy, salty crispy, chewy, and it smelled wonderful! This thing was a delight to the senses. I was already very happy after finished the appetizer course; and then they dropped the scallop dish on me. (From the Menu: GRILLED CORN PUDDING, BABY SPINACH, BACON SHALLOT JAM, CRISPED POTATO) So let me talk you through this thing, the grilled corn pudding was sweet, the baby spinach added a little earthiness, the bacon shallot was the salt and the scallops added their rich buttery awesomeness. And because they don't want you to go from mushy corn, to chewy scallops and soft spinach, they add potato crisps to the top to add a delightful crunch. Seriously, this plate is just wonderfully choreographed. I had a tough time deciding on my dessert, I'm such a sweet tooth as mentioned earlier ^. I "Settled" on the 14 layer cake (14 layers!!!). To be fair, they were thin layers :) It was, delish, bananay™ goodness, with a smear of caramel (2-sylabuls!), candied pecans and a generous dollop of whip. The restaurant has a very open feel, I suspect it's "Bar first, eatery second" I say this since their whole wall was alcohol (but seriously, no Pimms?). They have a vast selection of bitters if you like that sort of thing! Waiter checked in on my quite a few times, kept my glass full. Also, the maître de also stopped by to ensure I was enjoying my meal, I was impressed. Even with all the folks in there getting drinks, the restaurant was divided nicely to prevent me from "having" to eaves drop on my neighbors. If you're in Midtown and have a little money to spend (my meal, sans booze was $52) I definitely recommend Article 14.

We had a Scout Mob voucher for Saturday brunch--we like use deal certificates to try new places. We were surprised at how few people were in the restaurant. Being in Midtown, I assume they do more weekday business. The restaurant has a great vibe, however, and nice decor. Our deviled egg app was tasty, and my hubs said his shrimp and grits were some of the best he's had. I had the Eggs Savannah which was delicious. Our service was good/prompt, but not overly friendly. I would actually give Article 14 a 3.5 overall and we would return for brunch and possible a special occasion meal.

We've lived in Atlanta for over a year now & have wanted to try Article 14 since we first visited Midtown. Tonight, we finally made a reservation for dinner late Saturday night. I was a little shocked to see how slow they were for 9:30pm on a Saturday night. They are not a late night bar scene but with 90 minutes until close, I thought there would be more than 4 tops. Decor is nice, very modern...staff is very friendly too. One thing that had us going all night as a joke but also because it's true was how horrible the background music was. In a semi-classy place like Article 14, Old Navy shopping music was distracting & corny while trying to enjoy a meal. Throw on some jazz or modern smooth music in a place like that, not synthesized electro-tech mush. On to the food: deviled eggs are fine, nothing that stands out. Housemade chips were great & the onion dip was yummy. The entrees were not singing to us so we all made our own meals from the "Small Plates" section w/ side dishes. My guests enjoyed the lobster roll & shoestring potatoes, as well as the burger. My tacos were ok but again, nothing that stood out. Some unfortunate issues came with the sides. The cole slaw is either from a tub/not make in house or just poorly executed. Not much flavor at all. The biggest issue of the night were the brussel sprouts. Roasted correctly, the texture/feel wasn't the problem; the issue was that they were tossed w/ walnuts & pomegranate seeds. It was a very confusing taste that could only be described as "that taste in your mouth after you smoke a cigar." It's unfortunate that this letdown ruined most of the meal. I would return for sure to give a different meal a shot if given the chance, but from what we experienced tonight, we would select one of the many other options in Midtown for future meals. A toss up for sure.

Went to Article 14 over the weekend, and I couldn't help but feel disappointed, especially based on the other reviews. While the decor is definitely gorgeous, the food definitely left me underwhelmed. I ordered the shrimp risotto and my bf got the burger, neither was anything to write home about. In fact, the risotto was actually amazingly oily.... Probably won't be back.

I am sad. Took my guests there from out of town and it was not as good. The beets were my favorite before but this time, very few beets in a plate of other stuff hidden under too much micro greens. Still the best lemonade ever. Pimento cheese great and my guest liked their sandwich. Risotto was good, not great like before, too much salt. Please fix it as I loved you before

A recent addition to the 1180 Peachtree building, Article 14 is an ideal spot to enjoy expertly mixed cocktails and snacks before a night at the Alliance Theatre. The small space has been nicely turned out, and the bar stools are extremely comfortable. If Jillian is manning the bar, you're in for a special treat. She took excellent care of our party, and went the extra mile to ensure my food was prepared gluten free. This extended to the snack of made-in-house fresh potato chips offered gratis. Apparently, the chef was unsure if their spice mix was GF, so they made a fresh batch sans spices for me to enjoy. Light and crisp, with a hint of salt, they made quite a fine accompaniment to our cocktails. (Jillian made me one of her signature gin drinks. It was so good, I had a second!) We also enjoyed the ham and cheese appetizer - in "Section 1" of the Constitutional-theme menu. The space definitely pays tribute to the myriad of lawyers in the area; the back wall is lined with portraits of prominent local attorneys. I'm definitely looking forward to a return visit to sample some of the entrees. Both the bone-in strip steak and the rack of lamb caught my eye. Bottom line - Article 14 is a place worth checking out. As a local, I'm happy to have it in my 'hood.

So I'm pretty good at happy hour (a bit of a pro actually). I was happy to find that Article 14 is also really good at happy hour. We can be friends now. There is a lot going on in this corner of midtown lately and I'm just trying to keep up with the new spots. Article 14 is in the same building as TAP and Highland Bakery. I utilized the free valet at the parking deck entrance off of 14th street directly across from Crescent Ave. The restaurant is next to that across the street from Subway. The first thing to catch my eye was their absolutely perfect bar stools. I actually think they just took the top spot on my Atlanta Bar Stool List. Yeah, it's real. Not just the stools actually, but all the seating in the restaurant is sizable and cushioned, and over all just inviting. The wood is all dark and the lighting is yellow tinted. The whole street side of the restaurant is window wall so it's fun to people watch and I'm sure pretty bright during the day. I thought the atmosphere was very nice, comfortable. Pretty perfect for a cold night. The bar spans the entire restaurant which is just great for happy hour. It was fairly full at the bar, but I didn't feel crowded at all. It was also not overly loud despite all the conversation. The service was great and matched the atmosphere. There was only one bartender when I was there, which I thought wasn't enough considering the length of the bar and how full it was...but she was great, took care of everyone and was knowledgeable about the drinks. Ahh, the drinks...their signature cocktail list offers a nice variety and their wine list is two pages. They've got a nice whiskey and bourbon selection as well. I wasn't impressed by the beer list, 3 drafts and a few popular bottle selections...but I didn't expect beer to be a focal point here anyway. I had a nice experience here with the drinks, atmosphere and service. It's a pricey place of course, but I think it matches what you get (and somebody has to pay for that nice furniture in there!). If you're in the mood for a great cocktail or glass of wine (or both) and just need a comfortable place to chill I'd recommend stopping in here.

Loved the bar...great vibe and bartender. Dinner - food was ok and the service was fine. The server lacked sophistication and did not do justice to the complexity of the menu with her descriptions of menu items or presentation. The pot roast was very good, scallops good and the chicken dry. We would eat here again if in the neighborhood but wouldn't seek it out.

Even though it is new, I have now been here 2 times. The first time was better than the 2nd. The first time I had the Lobster roll, which is one of the most expensive things on the menu. It was big pieces of lobster on top of a concoction mayo and some veggies on a buttered roll. It was delicious! I got it with a side salad, which had pears on it and pecans. Also, delicious! I did feel rushed though and they took away my plate before everyone in my party was done eating. My second time, I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. The soup was really thick and not very smooth. I love bisque, but this had a weird texture almost like watery grits or something unpleasant. The grilled cheese sounded good when I ordered it, but I guess I missed the part that said that over 50% of the cheese would be goat cheese. I love goat cheese, do not get me wrong, but some times it does not belong. Like on a grilled cheese that you expect to be gooey, but instead had an over abundance flavor of goat cheese. We did not see the server until we were almost done, and they never asked how the food was. I wish they did, but they did not. The bar looks cool, so I would probably go here for drinks and apps next time.

I had trouble finding this place. It's at the intersection of 14th st and crescent avenue. Across the street from Subway. Near Opera. The navi was taking me everywhere. I used my scoutmob deal, and I got $54 worth of brunch food and drinks for only $25. I had the eggs Savannah. It was tasty and the side potatoes were great. The friend chicken entree wasn't too impressive. Good cream corn. Everything tasted fresh. The decor is nice. Modern and classy. The restaurant is one room and small. It was basically empty when I went. Good service. The picture notating men's or women's bathroom was a nice touch. Don't forget to ask for your parking validation ticket. I think the food was good, but it was over priced. I wouldn't come back unless I used scout mob. You can get good brunch at cheaper prices elsewhere.

3.5 stars. Creative, with good flavors, nice presentation and great service. Our table tried the following small plates to share. Bacon wrapped dates with blue cheese- yummy starter...wish there were more than four! Smoked duck salad with grapefruit, crispy shallots, and pepper honey drizzle so colorful and had great textures, though it was lacking a tiny bit on flavor with only the honey drizzle as the dressing. Wild mushroom arancini- a whole bunch of different sauces and toppings sprinkled on top of Italian rice balls, a little over fried for my taste. Lobster, caviar & creme fraiche angel hair pasta- I think this was my favorite dish of the night...a good amount of lobster chunk meat, amidst an interesting sauced bed of angel hair, with a dollop of creme fraiche and caviar. Entrees tried- stuffed butternut squash w / kale & wild mushrooms, and rack of lamb with Both were solid options, though neither stood out as being exceptional. Dessert needs some work though...there were no non-dairy options, and the banana pudding in a jar we tried was pretty bland & generic. Someone commented that they were surprised that Olmsted took the space upstairs for lunch only because it had a better view (based on memory of the space prior to renovation into the current restaurant tenants), while Article 14 was relegated to the downstairs space, which is modern but a little sterile, in a hotel restaurant decor kind of way. A bit of a pricey option that can add up with many plates and drinks, though no more so than many of the neighboring options. Great pre or post show dinner spot if you are going to the Alliance Theater or Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Center...they made an extra effort to ask at the beginning of the meal if we were going to a show, so they could pace the meal properly.

The good/great: Bacon Wrapped Dates, Grilled Trout, Service was Good. The Bad: I wanted a something to knock my socks off, but no. I'll try again. My evaluation is that the kitchen is solid and will only improve. I'll be back for brunch!

I'm bursting at the seams to tell you all about my latest after work experience. Yes, I'm calling it an experience and yes, I'm smiling as I write this! I recently visited the business savvy and elegant Article 14 after work. I have driven past the low-key restaurant several times, each time being attracted to the glass-store front and yellow glowing liquor display wall. You can't help but to be drawn into the glow, like a moth to a flame. I've had Article 14 on my "bucket list" for several months now and was elated when the opportunity to briefly hang out after work with a friend was presented. Upon entrance we were greeted by a hostess who offered us seating. We declined group seating and sat at the bar instead. There wasn't much of a crowd for a Friday evening but I was thrilled . But none the less the bartender made for great company. After taking my drink order (my friend doesn't drink) I was given the history behind Article 14. Article 14 was specifically designed as a haven to attorneys in the area. Within the 6 block radius there are hundreds of attorney offices. Several local top attorneys are featured on their "Hall of Fame" wall. The menu is even creatively designed to incorporate legal terms as food categories. Categories include Amendments, Section I, and Section II. I love when an establishment takes time to have a designed theme and stay true to that design. After the history was shared with me the establishment made so much sense. The layout of the seating was very corporate and masculine. There were leather booths and sterile white linens. However, there was not a stiff feeling in the air. I ordered a glass of Riesling and the House Chips with Caramelized Onion Dip. Both were served in the blink of an eye. The Onion Dip was some of the best I have ever had. Granted it is a simple dip, it was a great snack to have during a brief chat with a buddy. The dip was topped with real caramelized onion and the dip itself was creamy, rich and very flavorful. It was a perfect match to my semi-sweet wine. The homemade house chips were nicely cooked and seasoned very well. The chips could have easily been eaten without accompanying dip. Refills were constantly offered and the wait staff were very attentive. I can't wait to venture back for a more elaborate dining experience. Article 14 truly offers a great atmosphere in the heart of midtown Atlanta. - See more at: soukle.com/article14/#st…

We had a very nice experience here on a Friday night about 7:00. The sea scallops that I had were out of this world good, but I thought the portion size was a little small for $26. My wife really liked her lobster roll and we both enjoyed an amazing bourbon cocktail. Be careful about the valet though. We are 99% sure that a $20 was stolen from our car's visor.

I'm always looking for good Midtown restaurants and I've passed Article 14 a couple times and have always wanted to try it out. I recently heard the news that Arianne Fielder was headed there to be their new head mixologist and beverage manager. Sweet! Arianne has been making a splash in Atlanta after the opening of Seven Lamps near Lenox and has moved south to Miditown. I got a sneak peek at the new cocktail program that debuts on 9/15 - which includes Classics (Pimms Cup), Article 14 Signature drinks (75 South, Ari's Old Fashioned), Barrel-Aged (bourbon/gin/tequila!), and Beertails - which feature a mix of liquors and brews from local faves Monday Night and Wild Heaven. I also can't wait to try out the Snow White - which features Clown Shoes Clementine White Ale. Totally my style. While I would expect the drinks to be amazing, what I wasn't prepared for was the fantastic food we had at dinner. We started with the Heirloom Tomato salad with Buratta - so seasonal, full of flavor with some bread for crunch and oil for flavor. Sooo good. We also got the Steamed Clams with chorizo, with an amazing broth made with Sweetwater beer that we dipped out crusty bread in again and again. Other tasty starters include the deviled eggs and the Grilled Local Peaches with prosciutto. The peaches - seriously awesome. I haven't had anything like them and since they are in season - another great local treat. For the entrees, we got the Farmer's Market Risotto - which was heavenly. Lemon risotto with fresh vegetables and a poached egg on top. Seriously - I could eat this every day. The other dish was the Grilled Smoked Pork Chop with Anson Mills polenta and figs - talk about a manly dish. Grab a classic cocktail and this tasty meat entree and you'll be in Mad Men heaven. The restaurant shared the same building as Highland Bakery, Tap and the event space where Olmstead used to be. They have a valet in the parking garage right outside the entrance and they validate for up to 3 hours. Enough time for dinner and a show at the Alliance, or a tour of the High Museum. Great service, food, drinks and decor. Can't wait to go back!

Had a nice experience dining here for brunch. Food was just okay. I would actually like to see more options on the menu for brunch. Sad to admit, but I enjoyed the bread basket and the mimosas the best as opposed to the actual entree. Service was decent but I was most impressed by the decor. Restaurant feels very posh and its nice they offer complimentary valet. Overall I enjoyed dining here with a friend and would like to return for a different meal such as lunch or dinner.

Stumbled across this gem on Scoutmob on a hand picked deal. Blown away by the steak and eggs. So flavorful. The chimmichuri made the dish incredible. Cooked perfectly. They didn't skimp on the champagne in the mimosas. My boyfriend tried the shrimp and grits and thought those were tastey as well. It's also not too crowded for Sunday brunch which is a huge plus. And on open table so easy to get a reservation, if needed. I would highly recommend this place. We will be back.

4 stars for the drinks, manhattans specifically. 3.5 for the food - nothing was really memorable. Went here for a late dinner on a Sat. night. Sat at the nice booth's at the back of the restaurant. The waiters were fantastic and very accommodating to some... strong personalities in my group. The duck appetizer was great and the whiskey based drinks and wine selection is impressive, but I thought the food wasn't any special. Good, but not special given the prices. I would go back for appetizers and drinks, but not dinner.

Nice spot just, but be careful they will hand your credit card off to someone else that possible look like you. Then on top of that become very confrontational.

Wonderful atmosphere and food. My wife and I are foodies and this is a great place to relax and enjoy drinks and a light meal. The wonderful staff welcomes you and makes sure everything's ok. Chef Josh does a great job of having very fresh food and a good variety of selections. Leo is a super bartender. Food Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. We are from out of town and went there twice in 4 days because it is relaxing and no matter what you order, it is good.

I was really impressed with Article 14. My friend and I had a "hand picked" deal from ScoutMob for brunch, so we gave it a try. The food was very good and the Bloody Marys were outstanding. I had the Eggs Savannah and my friend had the shrimp and grits. Both portions were sizable and very flavorful. My only complaint was that the potatoes seemed a bit over salted. Our server, Cory, was excellent. The booth was comfortable (there is outdoor seating as well.). I will be back again for dinner and I hope to have another positive experience!

This was a great experience overall. From service, to food, to wine and cocktails. I did not give this 5 stars because the halibut I had was just slightly over cooked for my taste, but it was still delicious flavor. The atmosphere was a little slower than I like, but it may have been that we dined a little earlier than most do in this area of town. Our reservations were for 7:15 on a Saturday night and as we were getting finished the place was starting to pick up. Must try the clams with chorizo. They were fabulous!

Neat space! Went last night for a trial run. It went well and they do have some things to work out. Loved the dates stuffed with blue cheese wrapped in candied bacon! The steak was good as well. The art work of prominent lawyers are awesome!

I was pleasantly surprised by this new Midtown restaurant. I recommend to check it out! We got the scallop and lamb entrees which were both incredible. My only complaint is that the bacon wrapped dates aren't as good as those at JCT Kitchen, but really does anyone make those better?

A wonderful newly renovated Midtown restaurant, exciting food choices for an after Woodruff theater event. Except, 4 premium drinks arrived at the table 1/2 glass was empty. I asked for a manager to consider how this looked in an upscale restaurant, Instead of taking the drinks back and adding ice, changing to a smaller glass, adding to the the pour, doing something to satisfy a customer she argued this was a good drink. She then comped 2 drinks, we didn't want comped drinks we wanted a nice adventure to complete a nice evening. Bummed out experience instead of a pleasant encounter, we eat out often and will not return.

I went with my boyfriend for Sunday Brunch. We sat by the window facing out and there was great people watching from the people just walking by. We both had the Eggs Savannah and I loved them. I was a little under the weather and didn't have much of an appetite, but had to finish them they were so good!! We also had bloody marys and an order of the honey biscuits. I would have liked the honey biscuits to come out with some jam or something but they were still yummy. It was a great way to start my day and I will definitely be heading back sometime soon - maybe for dinner!

Disclosure: I went as a media guest. I hate negative reviews, but... A nice wine list & the angel hair pasta appetizer (which is actually entree-sized) was good, but the $42 lamb with pimento cheese puree? It was unfortunate. Loved the creamed spinach that came with my dining partner's steak. Everyone at the restaurant was nice and I'm sure the food will approve.

Great food but small place. Enjoyed a very nice meal. It's very cozy. To bad I wasn't there with my hubby but with my baby boy. He likes the food. And since he's 14 months old he likes chilling with me giving me lots of hugs andkisses and eat all my food lol. Maybe sometime I can come here with my hubby.

This place was awesome. The food was amazing, the portions were generous, and service was good. A lot of pricier restaurants in Midtown serve tiny portions that leave you starving but that was not the case here. My only complaint was that the cocktails, which they seem to specialize in, were a little lacking in alcohol content.
