There don't seem to be enough servers here for the number of customers, so we had to wait a long time for our food (45 minutes to be exact). The quality of the food makes up for it though! I got a Caprese sandwich, and it was delicious. I also got the strawberry and Nutella crepe, and it was also delicious! I don't recommend going in starving like I did because the food takes a long time to come out, but it is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is nice.

Yay really enjoyed this place! This is the first dedicated crepe bar I went to; they should definitely open more of these! I came here for lunch during a healthcare conference in Athens, after hearing recommendations from friends that have been here before. Walking in, you'd be greeted by the friendly staff, and the blue walls with the newspaper clippings and the wooden tables and chairs. My other friends went for the typical sweet crepes with nutella and strawberries, but since it was lunchtime, I went for the Buffalo Chicken crepe out of curiosity. To sum it up, it was classy, yet trashy. The buffalo chicken is reminiscent of your typical bar wings, with the spicy and vinegar-y taste to it. The shredded lettuce gives it a crunch, and the umami from the tomatoes helped it too. The crepe brought the whole concoction together, kinda resembling a buffalo chicken wrap. To top it off, it was covered with hot sauce and ranch. Next time I'm in Athens, I'll definitely come here again. It would be a 4-star review, but I tacked on the extra star because of the atmosphere and the minimalist interior of the store. Wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

Had a great experience here yesterday for watching the big game - UGA vs. USC. Even though the bar was really crowded we had a short wait. We sat outside and had a drink while waiting for our table, and the entire restaurant crew is friendly and efficient. I especially need to give a shout-out to Ben, who "rescued" me from a couple of situations from an unwelcome game-day fan. Next time in Athens, we'll be back! Highly recommend the Terrapin Dip and Buffalo Chicken appetizers. Salads for our entrees were good size. No room for dessert but we'll definitely try some crepes next time. They looked great!

Two stars because when the kitchen is open the dessert crepes are wonderful. Apparently the posted kitchen hours on the menu and website are not accurate. Kitchen closes at 10 not 11.

I love crepes. It is one of those things that if a see a place that sells crepes, I'm immediately drawn to it. Thankfully my friends already had this on their list of places to eat in Athens for the day, but if they didn't, I'd pull them in insisting that we'd have to eat there. Again, we ordered to go since we had a lot of places to hit up on our day trip in Athens. We had just gotten plenty of other savory dishes, so we ordered a dessert crepe: the strawberry and nutella. It was a pretty standard dessert crepe, but I was glad there wasn't an absurd amount of nutella like some other places have. The crepe itself was a nice consistency and wasn't too thin/crispy, nor too soggy. However, since we took it to go, we didn't get to see how service was normally. We got our food in about 10 minutes as well, which is pretty good, so I'm happy about that. The other thing that I love about Pauley's is their bar and how many drink selections they have! Not that I'm a big drinker, but I definitely appreciate their dedication to raising spirits :) *Disclaimer: Came here for a day trip in Athens, quickly hitting up some of the local faves.

Awesome drinks, great food, friendly staff. Overall my favorite spot in Athens. You can't go wrong with their sandwiches. Also, very clean place. Pauleys is a must

Lot's of beers, buffalo chicken crepes. That is all. Great selection of beers by the bottle and on draft. I come here every time I go back to athens. I am always pleased with the food, but the service could be better. However, in a college town you cannot expect good service.

Crepes are a bit overpriced and not too large (or fancy enough to justify such a price/size combo); place is more a bar than anything else and the service isn't that good.

During a recent visit to Athens we found Pauley's and it was great and the manager was even better. We met him in the street and he recommended a host of places to go and we chose Pauley's . He comped appetizers and the food portions are huge and big enough to share, especially since you have to have dessert. So worth it!

Delicious food! Good atmosphere. Clean. Friendly service. Great food options. Would definitely eat there again and recommend others to do the same!

Crepes are better than advertised and I am starting my beer card today - Left Hand Milk Stout & Purple Haze

Sub-par over priced food, poor and unknowledgeable service. It's a beer bar with 20 year old servers who know nothing about beer.

When I walked in I was reminded me of a place I visited along the downtown mall in Charlottesville, VA (also a university town). By the time I arrived the kitchen was closed (11PM on Saturday), so I just had a beer - the Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale. I would like to come back to try their crepes.

Despite some other negative reviews, I love Pauley's. It has a great food menu, cheap wine, and an extensive beer selection. If you want a place to eat, drink, enjoy a sports game or just a nice afternoon with friends for a low price, then Pauley's is perfect. Many other reviewers have touched on its tendency for slow service. While I have experienced this as well, one has to keep in mind that the business is run entirely by college kids. Pauley's is not a five-star dining establishment, so if you are looking for that kind of service then I recommend picking a difference restaurant. The servers are always friendly and hard-working, which is good enough for me. The menu at Pauley's offers everything from appetizers (get the brie -- OMG yum) to salads to sandwiches and to crepes (their specialty). While these crepes aren't what you'll find in Paris, they are delicious and innovative. Who knew a buffalo chicken crepe could be so delicious? Again, this is not five-star quality food. However it does hit the spot when you're enjoying a few unique beers or half-off bottles of wine ($7 -- yes please). Overall I love this place. The food tastes good, the drinks are great, and the price is right. Its got the perfect environment for spending time with friends in an awesome college town. Go Dawgs!

I had the Brie BLT and shared the Strawberries & Nutella crepe with my friend. Both were really good. They also have various kinds of beers which is nice! I can't wait to go back to try more!

Obviously the service isn't the best here because a bunch of college students run it. BUT who even cares because this place has the best creeps in town!!!! If you go to live in Athens and don't try it at least once, you've missed out! Who doesn't love Nutella?
(4)Steven R.
I only got the crepe when I was here, but it was damn good! It's a fun spot to grab a drink as well.

Pauley's is an original concept; I'd never heard of a crêpe bar before. On a day trip to Athens, my college-student friends and I made sure to stop in for dessert. On a Thursday night in the summertime, this place was packed full of sorority-type girls. The noise was overwhelming; our group had to shout to hear each other across the table. The service was quick, however, and of course the food was delicious. We tried the strawberry and nutella, the s'mores, and a make-your-own with strawberries, banana, and graham crackers. I thought mine (the strawberry and nutella) was close to perfection. I couldn't have made a crêpe like that at home, which to me makes it worth the money. The prices on the make-your-own seemed a bit ridiculous. After two toppings, you have to pay an extra dollar for grape jam or a crumbled-up sheet of graham cracker, for example.

Another reviewer said that it's a bar with food -very true. I thought I was going to a creperie with a good beer selection, but the truth is that this is a bar with food, which includes crepe. I wanted to take out lunch. Went in with a stroller (husband outside waiting with the dog). The hostess said that I could order at the bar and handed me the menu. The bartender ignored me for about 10 minutes. I made a hand gesture t/w her, like can I please order. I was standing at the bar and she was all the way on the other end (I mean, really, it would be hard to walk the tight space between the bar and the tables area with a stroller in order to talk to her. Typically, it is the bar tender who comes ans asks if you want something. Anyway, she ignored me again for another 5 minutes. Now it's been 15' of me standing at a jam packed bar with a baby in a stroller and nobody cares to ask me WTF I am doing in there. I make another more obvious gesture and spell "can I place an order" to the bartender. She comes and I, obviously frustrated, tell her that I've been waiting for 15 minutes to order. She apologizes (at least) and says that she thought I was waiting to be seated. What? First, why would I wait there and not closer to the hostess, and why would others be seated as they would come in but I would still be standing there? And either way, why do you assume? Can you not just come in and ask??? I am obviously looking your way! She takes the order, then tells me she expedited it. Haha. That was either a joke or a lie, cause about 20 more minutes go by. A party of 6 who had come in after I had ordered receive their food first. So I decide to go and tell her to cancel my order. I make my way through to the other side (bartender loved to sit at one spot at the bar) and before i say anything she apologizes again and says that she just asked and my order was ready. So, that was the service. Now to the food. I ordered the Greek and the Gordon Blue crepe. They were OK. More like a sandwich or a wrap rather than a crepe. Good but not worth the wait or the $20 bill.

Terrible cocktails, terrible appetizers, disorganized service, bland atmosphere. Would not recommend

Might have come on a bad day but service wasn't the best and food was a bland. Made me wish I had waffle house instead
(2)Chandler Y.
Amazing food with many options and very helpful and welcoming service. Overall great!

Great beer selection, good drinks, and I love the buffalo chicken crepe. My friend has had one bad order which makes me take it down a star but really the food is only half of why you come here. The bar is always open and they have 2 TVs plus a projector on the wall of the most popular sports games of the night.

Went to Pauley's 5 years ago with some friends. Thought I was going to hate it - crepes for dinner? Was I ever wrong! Had the Buffalo Chicken Crepe that night and have never strayed. Every time I am in Athens, I go to Pauley's and have the Buffalo Chicken Crepe. I have introduced numerous co-workers to Pauley's over the years and they are all impressed. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but on occasion I will have the Peanut Butter Cup Crepe for dessert - amaze-balls! They have great drink specials too!
(5)Devon H.
This is an amazing place great food and great servers. Only reason a star is taken off is because they messed up my order. But they right away went back and fixed it by making a brand new order
