The food and drinks are good but the pastries are some of the most boring I have ever had. They are very pretty but a lot of times tasteless or dry. Their breakfast and lunch items however never disappoint.

I enjoy stopping for a doughnut now and then and it's a great treat to have breakfast there with the kids. The doughnuts are fresh and tasty with no old-oil taste, ever. Staff is friendly and helpful and they have a fun way to achieve a 10% discount that changes each day. (Order like a pirate, dance gangnam style while ordering, etc.) I love their special creations and would rate them five stars if those creations were available every day and the cereal-topped doughnuts went away forever. Favorites include custard/fruit, cream cheese and pepper jelly, chai cake and an outstanding almond fritter they had one time.

Airy, happy decor, good coffee drinks (not too heavy on the syrup like many coffee joints), perfect(ly sinful) cranberry-orange muffin, awesome non-chain yeast donut. My S.O. had two (crumbly and buttery rather than light-as-air) biscuits that he loved. A little bit of overload on the cutesiness (10% off if you order in a Canadian accent?) but at least their baked goods (some from Luna, some in-house, from what I understand) all looked delicious rather than overly fussy.

Yep, parking is annoying, and it's hard to find a place to sit. But the place is fun and friendly, and the food is delicious. Spend your last buck on a donut or two, or have a full brunch or breakfast; it's all good. They might offer you a discount if you order in a foreign accent or sing a song from your favorite musical. A very "Athens" experience.

My brother took us to Ike and Jane for breakfast because of my love for sweets and coffee. I have to say I was delighted to see donuts covered not only in sugary frosting, but cereals and nuts! The staff was friendly and the coffee was hot. My brother and his friend both ordered egg sandwiches that looked delish but I stuck to the sugar. It's cute, friendly, and I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in Athens!

Delicious donuts, great breakfasts, yummy lunches. There isn't much seating but the tables turn over pretty quickly, especially when it's nice outside and the patio is open. My favorite donut is the butterfinger, and the egg and cheese biscuit is wonderful. It's a perfect place for a relaxing brunch in Athens. Bike there if you can and tell them to install their bike racks!

I first noticed this location when it was a German bakery. The large doughnut sign beckoned, but I never yielded to its temptation. The large doughnut sign remains, as do doughnuts in the bakery case, but the location has been taken over by Ike & Jane. It has been infused with a sleek decor and a new array of baked goods, along with breakfast and lunch menus. I read about Ike & Jane in the March 5th New York Times. I was excited to try a new breakfast spot in my neighborhood. I hit it around 11AM on a Sunday morning. The system was somewhat confusing at first: one large sign offering 10% off and another large sign touting the sold out biscuit of the day (it was some sort of white cheese and jalapeno). With my hopes for a biscuit dashed, I headed for the lunch menu and got a respectable pulled pork and sweet slaw sandwich. The ciabatta bread was perfect, soft and a little bit chewy. I would have preferred the pork to be a bit chunkier, but it mixed well with the slaw. The sandwich was accompanied by a side of fresh fruit, a nice departure from chips or a pickle spear. Ike & Jane is a nice addition to the neighborhood. I'll have to return for the biscuit and add to my review.
