5 star service at a fast food restaurant! You definitely get waited on in this establishment. The service here was remarkable. The food is a step up from The Varsity food. Hotdogs & Hamburgers. The CUSTARD is the best in the area. I get the Turtle & I love it. I will definitely be returning here.

This place is pretty good. The building is very clean. Both the food and the ice cream are very tasty, and, while a bit pricey, are pretty good for their cost. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. First, the staff is not very friendly. The last two times I have gone the cashier seemed a bit bored with his or her job. Secondly, the last time I went they ran out of chicken fingers. Like, seriously? But, all in all, I would recommend this place. Also, their fry sauce is really good.

The ice cream "custard" is really good...the food, nothing to write home about! A lot of staff not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing...they are everywhere...like ants and tripping all over each other. Probably be back for the ice cream

At the urging of a friend, I went back to give this place a second chance. He told me that I had to order the double patty melt. I got that, my wife got a Fish sandwich combo and my son got a grilled cheese initially but then we replaced it with a hot dog. Everything was really good this time. It is still pricier than Steak and Shake and it obviously matters what you order. I still think they should warn anyone ordering their cheese sauce that it is laced with jalepenos, but other than that, my two experiences were like night and day. In fact, if I go back and have consistently good experiences, I will give them even more stars in the future. One tip is to not go when they are packed out. Seating is very limited. That put a huge damper on my first trip there. The second trip was at about 4 pm on a Saturday so it was less than half capacity. Also, don't order the chili or the cheese topping. That is my advice and I am giving it away for free.

The closest thing to In-N-Out that you can find in Athens! Very good burgers, patty melts, and don't get me started on the custard! It is a little pricey but still so delicious!

My fiancé and I really enjoyed our meal here today! We had never been to one and were impressed w the food and especially the nice customer service / servers.

Once was enough. No reason to go back. I told them this was my first time so they needed to impress me. They failed. I frankly didn't know it was possible to make such an awful hamburger and so thin too. Never again.

Steak and Shake rip off at much higher prices. Food tastes okay, but no compelling reason to pay more for the same food.

My boyfriend and I went here this past Saturday(1-24-15) and we actually enjoyed it. However, I agree w- the others, it's quite pricey!! That's why I didn't give it 5 stars! The burgers are good(thinner than Steak and Shake's, which I like), the fries are the really thin cut fries which I can do w/out. My boyfriend had the chocolate "custard" which he LOVED! He also wanted to go back the next day, but I told him "no" b/c it's too expensive to go back-to-back like that. Maybe we'll go back sometime next month! I recommend Freddy's for someone who wants a very tasty, yet thin hamburger!

It was a delicious burger and fries, but almost exactly like Steak And Shake, only saltier and much more expensive. Also, seating at lunch is chaos. There aren't enough places to sit and people are hovering around like sharks waiting to pounce as soon as someone starts to even look like they are about to get up. I suppose this won't be as much of a problem once the the buzz dies down, but until then they should really have someone seating customers before a fight breaks out.

I came in expecting a knockoff of Steak and Shake. Boy was I wrong! I think Steak and Shake might have to move over for Freddy's! The steak burgers are fantastic. They ask you what you want on them and they let you load them up! I had a combo with a hot dog that I had almost everything on for no extra charge. I got a steak burger and a generous amount of onion rings To go with it. They have the best fry sauce that anyone could ask for. It was great on the onion rings, the burger, and even the hot dog. Nothing like a little cheese sauce to top everything off. I couldn't just quit there though. I had to try the famous custard. I got the Hawaiian. There are strawberries, pineapple, coconuts, nuts, whipped cream, and even a cherry on top! I was so stuffed when I left but it was all worth it! It was about 14 dollars and I would spend that again any day for that amount of food. I can't believe that this place has been hidden from us in Athens for this long! Welcome to the Athens area, Freddy's. You are about to make a lot of people happy! ( I'm not sure why people think the food isn't that good because this place really rocks! The amount of staff is actually a good thing because this makes them customer friendly. There was a smiling face wherever you turned! Every one of them was eager to help. Customer service has long been forgotten these days so kudos to Freddy's for bringing it back!)
