I have no other words but "yes." Ok, no, I have a lot more to say. The waitress recommended the shrimp tacos, which I'd already been eyeing, and those did not disappoint AT ALL. I got the homestyle wedge fries, which I shared the same sentiments towards. My boyfriend, however, was a little disappointed with his medium tenderloin, which he didn't think was cooked enough (I'm not exactly sympathetic because my philosophy is not to order steaks unless it's a steak place...??? Sigh). The creamed corn we were recommended though was BOMB. I'm not generally one for creamed corn, but the corn was sweet and I could taste the corn's sweetness coming through the cream, which was the perfect consistency (most creamed corn I'm used to is on the runny side). He also had the garlic cheese bread, which we thought was alright. I like that the taste is really mild, but I didn't think there was anything particularly special about it. A lil bit dry for my taste. We used the Yelp deal they have to get a free dessert, and we were recommended the Brownie Sundae. The waitress said it was off the chain, and I agree. The ice cream it's topped with is SO good. Brownies are my favorite dessert and I'm really picky about them, and I'm sad to say I'm just not that into this one's texture. It's very gooey, which I like in brownies, but it's a kind of gooey I've never experienced. It falls apart very easily, so the texture doesn't really come through against the ice cream, which is just as smooth as the brownie. But the reason I still think this dessert is great is because the sauce it's drowned in (literally drowned in. When we received the order, I saw a lil cake of brown amidst this pool of chocolate sauce and caramel sauce. When I left the restaurant, I found caramel and chocolate in my hair like 3 hours later) and the taste of the brownie mix perfectly with the vanilla, even if the texture all kind of just runs together. My parting note is that the service here is FANTASTIC. Everybody who helped us was so friendly, and all their recommendations makes me feel like they really know the menu. The food came out faster than what I'm use to at restaurants.

Perfection! 5 stars very deserving and this out my 100 reviews is 1 of 2. First course had a blue cheese wedge they gladly split it for the 2 of us...chilled forks and bowl too. I getting excited for the next course. Filet sandwich for both of us..side of cream corn and onion rings...fabulous. the filet was exactly the perfect temp and pink. Yes the cream corn was amazing and I don't usually like it. The onion rings were very good too with great sauce. Now the desserts did I say wonderful heavenly and out of the world....a yes we will be back to experience more. The service was some of the best and everyone in the resturant worked as a team..so your ice tea and water was forever full. And one last thing is the food was hot...fast ....and everything PERFECT

This is great as a kid-friendly family restaurant. In fact, for families trying to dine at places other than fast food, Brett's is definitely worth a try. On the other hand, I've eaten here several times, and while I found the food to be pretty good, the atmosphere is moderately loud and bustling with activity. As I said, very kid-friendly. So if you're a party of adults looking for quiet, disturbance free dining, then Brett's may not be the place for you. But the food is good and if the activity doesn't get to you, then it's worth a try.

I walked in Bretts expecting yet another bland AppleBees clone, but was very pleasantly surprised. The ordering system is a little weird, in that you order everything from chalkboards on the wall and then pay in advance, I guess that's the definition of casual restaurant! We had a coupon from Restaurants, which they gladly accepted. After getting paying, getting our own drinks, and finding a table, we were soon enjoying an order of "Ballpark Chili Nachos" ($7.99) - an unfortunate choice of names because it conjures up images of that nasty looking yellow liquid cheese covering equally horrible cheap round stale chips. These nachos were about as far from that as you can get and would have made easily made a meal for one person, possibly two. The amount of toppings was insane, there must have been a pound of beef on these bad boys. I opted for "Brett's Tenderloin" ( $10.99 - the highest priced entree on the menu) and my bud had the blackened grouper ($9.99). Both entrees were excellent, the tenderloin cooked rare as I had requested and the blackened grouper was properly done. The creamed corn with my order was excellent. The staff was friendly and quick with refills and bringing our orders out. I will definitely be dining at Brett's again! Best of all, when you are ready to leave, you just leave, no waiting around on the check!

This restaurant is amazing! The variety of food here is great for starters they have everything from mexican to burgers and fries. I usually order a chicken caesar salad which is to die for. The dressing is absolutely delicious and all the ingredients are fresh. I have also sampled the brett burger which is probably the best burger aside from my favorite Nations Burger. If you go here you must promise me you will get a homemade brownie or a brownie sundae. These brownies are a little piece of chocolate heaven and you don't want to miss out!

A perfect neighborhood eatery, wish this kinda place would open in MS! Another of my "must-visit-when-in-Athens,"joint, this place never disappoints. Everyone I've dragged with me, including locals, loved Brett's casual & friendly atmosphere & delicious food. My favorite is "Brett's Tenderloin," a steal for under $11 -- creamed corn that comes with this dish is yummy! Great kids' menu, friendly staff, and quick service.

I love Brett's! At first, I was given a referral that it was bad, but I decided to try it myself and I'm glad I did!! Brett's is friendly, casual, and the food is fabulous! I don't know who owns it, but I know the employees there are highly committed to this place and do everything they can to make your experience there a wonderful one! The Yogi tea they serve is yummy too. I've have been there a few times, and I recommend everything I've eaten there- fish tacos, steak sandwich, Greek burger, even the sweet tea is made perfectly!

I have eaten at Brett's for the second time this year, and I love the food. The first time I dropped in for lunch, I asked the waitress to choose something for me and she suggested a veggie quesadilla with cream corn on the side. Huh!?! ...okay. When she delivered my quesadilla, she proceeded to tell me to put some of the corn on the quesadilla and to eat it that way. Delicious! Wow...who knew?!? The food was great and the waitress was excellent. Great knowledge of food and the menu and perfectly attentive...not too much, not too little. I ate lunch at Brett's again today and tried one of their hamburgers with smoked gouda and fries. It was so good, I could not slow down stuffing my mouth. Perfectly cooked, and, again, the same waitress which, again, made the menu suggestion. If you go, ask for Wendy. She is fantastic. The atmosphere is a little noisy, but the food makes up for it. I will be back. I intend to make this my lunch destination whenever possible. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of food and service.

Im town and looking something fast and casual, but not a fast food chain. So we tried it based on the other reviews. I'd say the reviews pretty much got it right. The food was very good and people were friendly. Had the steak sandwich, chicken sandwich, and a quesadilla. All were good. The fries were also good. Lot's of variety on the menu.

We always split a hamburger and it is enough food to fill both of us. The patties are thick and tasty and cooked perfectly. The onion rings are thick and home made, the "secret" sauce served with them makes them special.

This place is an Athens gem. Although the ordering system is a little whack, the food is great. Brett has done a wonderful job turning this place into a regular dining place of ours. He does steak right, and his burgers are killer. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. A true Athens, GA local gem.

Thanks, Brett, for bringing the "sabor of SoCal" into my life here in Athens, GA! I went here with the bossman and his wife and ended up getting the fish tacos (come on now, I was going through fish taco withdrawal!). He had marinated them in some kind of black pepper sauce so they were spicy without making me all snotty in front of the boss. Boss had the blackened shrimp and cheesy grits and I must say, I was suffering from food envy despite being extremely satisfied with my food. I had a bit of the grits (I think that was my first time eating grits) and boy, they were delicious! Pricewise, this place is pretty affordable and though the ambiance is a little lacking, the food is good enough to make up for most of it! If you sign up for their mailing list, you get a $10 dinner voucher mailed to you for use during your birthday month!

The food is amazing here. I have eaten here many many times. The burgers are fresh and are cooked to order. The grilled shrimp are the best in town. The kona sandwich is mouthwatering tender and seasoned perfectly. The service is over the top, friendly and smiling faces always asking if they can refill a glass or get me something. Great job!

We were in Athens for my daughters gymnastic meet and happened upon Brett's as we were looking for something that wasn't a chain. I must say we couldn't have been more pleased! The service was superb, the staff was so friendly, the selection was great (including the kids menu), and the atmosphere was so family friendly... and on top of that the food was great! Their homemade chips are great, and everyone loved their meals. We will definitely be back when in Athens!

Bretts used to be a family favorite.....not so much anymore. The food used to be so fresh....not so much anymore. We just had Brett's cater our wedding and WOW! Dianna was great during the planning process, and was just a text or phone call away to answer all of our questions. The food was absolutely delicious (with hefty portions!) and fit perfectly into our modest budget! We HIGHLY recommend Brett's for a wedding or any event. I hope we have another opportunity to use them!
A nice hole-in-the-wall located in a run down strip mall. The food is very good, reasonably priced, and generously portioned. The service is friendly and the staff seem genuinely interested in making their guests feel welcome. The only downside is the ordering system which seems a bit unnecessarily convoluted.

Our first trip to Brett's was on a busy Friday night. Wasn't sure what to expect from a storefront place next to a grocery store, but we were amazed! Onion rings are one thing I use to measure any restaurant that serves them... These were the best I've had in a long time. Crispy and substantial, NOT slippery or slimey. Remoulade-like dipping sauce was great. I had the blackened red snapper. Fantastic piece of fish with just the right amount of spice. My wife had the "Brett's Burger". Super tasty, hand-made burger, and perfect French fries. Dessert was the rolled pecan ball. A generous scoop of good vanilla ice cream, rolled in pecans and drizzled in chocolate and caramel... I need say no more. A truly great meal, with wonderful service, attention to detail, and superb food. We will be back!

I love Brett's. We get great service and even better food everytime we go! The monte cristo is unbelievable and their cheddar biscuits are fantastic! It's kind of off the beaten path so it's easy to miss, but definitely worth a visit!
