Excellent food and menu is always changing with the seasons. My wife and I eat here frequently and definitely recommend it. Servers are very personable and everything is consistently good.

Food and service were poor also highly overrated this is more of a place for appearance than quality.

I really wanted to like this place. My husband and I have wanted to try Marlow's and kept forgetting about it. Finally tried it a couple nights ago and its just not for us. The Calamari tasted like it had General Tso's sauce on it and the peppers werent roasted or warm. Cold red peppers and warm general tso's calamari is not a good mix. The firecracker shrimp jumped out of their breading the second you took a bite and the breading has zero flavor. The one star is for my rasberry martini. It was made very well and was the highlight of my evening here at Marlows. We will not return.

I tried the black and blue burger, which was delicious. I was afraid it would be too cheesy, but the gorgonzola was mild and creamy, paired perfectly with the bacon. Fries were a little limp. I usually like my fries crispy on the outside and soft and meaty on the inside. The pickle that came with the burger seemed to be homemade and tasted more like cucumber than a pickle. This was perfect for me since I don't usually like pickles (too sour), but it still had a nice tang to it. Chris had the fish tacos with chickpea fries. The tacos were ok, but the chickpea fries were very hearty and delicious. My food was seasoned well and service was good. Their appetizers sound delicious, so I'll have to come back next time to try them.

Delicious lunch had the Brie app and holy cow it was great! Wife had black and blue salad and I had black and blue burger. Fries were plentiful, crispy and delicious. Burger was cooked well and very tasty. Wife's salad was enormous. She loved it.

Top notch service, excellent food, great atmosphere! We found Marlo's courtesy of Yelp. Our experience began with our server Ashley. She provided great recommendations. Everything we ordered was delicious! Definitely coming back. The only thing we did not have a chance to try was desert...next time!

Really Great food and atmosphere. I had the Fish Tacos and this was my first time ever having a fish taco. Let me tell you I am now a love of fish tacos! They had great drinks and a very hot trendy menu. This place rates A+ on my list of places to go out to dinner or hear a band in Johns Creek.

I wish I could give this place better than 3 stars, but it is just ok. The burgers are not very good (you can taste the gas from the grill in your burger) Wings just okay. Fish tacos are fair. I do like the fried calamari is good and so is the fried asparagus. The service at Marlow's is very good.
(3)John P.
Very good food awesome service always, servers know the menu well. Will be coming back week in week out as usual. Thanks
(5)Chet M.
Still good s usual. I liked the daily special my wife had a salad which she said was great.

Ashley was super nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. Recommended the pomegranate Martin which was good not too sweet but would have liked more vodka in my tini. She offered to take it back but I said it was fine. Still very tasty. Loved loved loved the free JTs kettle chips for first timers! ! What a great idea for new customers and was delish! Never had gorgonzola cheese b4 but was really good on the chips. Another plus is they have fresh silverware after we finished our appetizer. Fish tacos very good as was the black bean corn salsa which I asked for on the side. honey had the royale and loved it. Mgr kept checking in with us. Will return!

Very good!!! Ahi Tuna Poke appetizer with crispy wonton, Baby Kale Ceaser salad, plus the absolute BEST Fish Tacos I have ever tasted. I want to sample all of the "SOON TO BE CLASSIC" crafted cocktails. Live music on the patio. Beautiful night. This place is GREAT! I will be back.

Went for the first time since moving from California... Customer service was excellent and the food was awesome! We'll definitely be back again soon.

Solid restaurant in the Alpharetta area. Has a good upscale pub/tavern atmosphere. Have been to Marlow's a few times while visiting family, and we have never been disappointed. My last time here, I wasn't really in the mood for a big meal, so I opted to sample several side items -Vegetable & Bean Chili- Delicious! So much flavor- not too heavy but not not thin soup-like either -White cheddar grit cakes- Also delicious! -Caesar Salad...nothing special but really good -Roasted Asparagus... Had a good grilled taste to them, but were a little tough (i dont think they cut off the hard part) We also had a great bottle of red wine- and our server made sure our glasses were never empty. Look forward to returning to Marlow's next time I'm in Alpharetta.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in town. The food is always top-notch and the drinks are perfect. I have tried several things on the menu, but my go-to order is the Black and Blue Burger. I haven't found a better burger anywhere. I've only been disappointed once with an order: they've changed their Caesar salad, which used to be amazing and is now just pretty good. Otherwise, the sandwiches, sides, steak, and apps have always been consistently tasty. Dessert is their weak point, but I'm typically stuffed by the time I get that far anyway. I always look forward to their seasonal additions to the menu and the cocktail list. The wait staff is always polite and pleasant. I've been eating here for three years now and have yet to leave unhappy!

I continuously heard many good things about this place so I had big expectations going in. My boyfriend and I went on a Wednesday night and it was sooo packed. But fortunately we got quick seating because we choose to eat outside. Btw, you can dress really formal/fancy or super casual and still fit the dress code. So we were seated outside at the high top bar tables and at first I was worried that it would be too cold, but they actually zipped up the openings and had heaters so it was very cozyy.( A little hint - it's a lot less noisy outside ). Our server was really friendly. Since it was my first time, my boyfriend and I shared an appetizer, entree and dessert. We started off with the Shrimp and crab nachos :D. I'm not that big a fan of shrimp or crab but these were pretty good. I wouldn't order it again personally but if you like creamy crab and shrimp with melted cheese and jalapeños...then you will love it! After the nachos we got a black and blue burger with a side of fries and a pickle. I think the pickle was home-made because the freshness, unique taste & crisp it had. It didn't have a classic vinegar taste like regular pickles. The fries are good and crispy but wowwww! The black and blue burger was so good. The bun was so soft and the meat plus the bacon was cooked perfectly. But the sauce is what separates it from a normal regular restaurant burger. Their gorgonzola sauce they put on really compliments the burger. It's not overpowering or excessive. Last but not least...DESSERT! We ordered the Creme brûlée. The dish it is put in, is actually pretty big but very shallow which makes the custard and sugar shell ratio perfect. The sugar was torched perfectly and the vanilla custard was sweet but not too sweet. Overall, my experience at Marlow's tavern was definitely a very good one. The food is delicious and comes out very nicely plated and the service is top notch.

Seriously impressed with the service and food here. I came with my mom and dad (I'm 20 and a young food enthusiast) and we had a great time. First of all, I wish I'd remmeber our waiters name because he was excellent. Young, smiling, energetic and brunette. He obviously loves the food and his job. When I told him I love seafood and was from MD he was helpful in pointing out that the appetizer crabcake was jumbo lump but the special was not. To all of us he recommended a special which included red tomato, fried green tomato, flatbread, and mozzarella. YUM. We cleaned that quickly. I then ordered the snapper while my parents shared a salad and burger. The snapper was delicious. Fried but not greasy and on noodles and asian inspired veggies. I ate all of it! I also tried a bite of the classic blue cheese burger my parents had and it was great. I honestly didn't expect Marlows to have anything more than average American tavern/pub food but I was impressed. I hope to see our waiter again too.
(5)David R.
My first time here: I ordered the Tavern Burger and opted for the fresh fried okra. They exceeded my expectations! The burger was great and seasoned well; it comes with their "House-Made" tomato Bacon Jam - it was ok, but I did not put much on my bun. The burger would be great without any condiments and just the lettuce, tomato and onion. I was not excepting the okra to be whole. It was great and also seasoned well. Very good!

Blue cheese chips I love you.. This is only my second visit to this location but like the other locations this visit was on par. We walked in and were seated right away. We were given the drink menu with a couple recommendations. I ended up with the red sangria. which was delish! my friend got a blue moon. he had never had or heard of.. for that matter... blue cheese chips so i decided it was time to pop that cherry. We ordered them and after the first chip went in... he was a believer. Between the bacon and the ooey gooey cheese... and the fresh tomatoes.. yum yum yum. So for actual food I got the Buffalo chicken wrap with tavern fries, and my friend got the french dip. both were amazingly tasty as well. We sat and talked for a good while snacking, got our checks but no rush. manager came by a couple times to check on the food and service. both got glowing reviews. They are doing their bayou menu right now... looked pretty tasty maybe worth another visit in the near future :)

We love this place. Great food. Super service. Nice ambiance.
(5)Brett M.
I love going to Marlows Tavern. Their food is always amazing and correct 95% of the time. However, they will pollitely correct any errors with your order after you bring it to their attention. My only con is the noise level. It is part bar so expect that type of atmosphere. I would not recommend taking someone here for an important conversation, business lunch or a first date. Oh, and they deliver if you live in the condos above them (Plaza Midtown) which I think is awesome. On a side note, their prime rib french dip is the most amazing french dip I've ever had.
(4)Jonathen C.
Great atmosphere, great drinks, and great service. Thanks to manager Chris for the kettle chips!

Marlow's Tavern, I have fallen in love with you all over again. I love that even though I'm in the suburbs, this restaurant makes me feel like I'm in midtown only to realize after a full stomach that I only have a 5 minute commute. We asked to sit outside on their patio since the evenings are cooler now. They have outdoor seating at their bar, TV's with sports, heaters and fans depending on the weather. Great ambiance. Our server, Chrissy, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Here is what we ordered (they were having a seasonal BBQ menu at the time): Ahi Tuna Poke Appetizer The texture of the tuna was softer than I would prefer, but still good enough to be sushi grade. The portion was surprisingly large, the sauce drizzled over the entire dish is what really makes it all come together. Kettle Chips with Blue Cheese Appetizer This was pretty good. It's a heaping pile of gooey goodness, which is what I always expect when I order a nacho or chip appetizer platter. Pig with Buns Hubby ordered this which came with a side of cole slaw and pickle. The texture of the pulled pork was nice, but it was over dressed with BBQ sauce. It was too overwhelming, but down the hatch it still went. The cole slaw would've been good if the BBQ didn't have so much sauce on it, it was too light to counter the extreme tangy and spiciness of the pulled pork. The "pickle"...wasn't your usual dill pickle, it was a cucumber that hadn't been sitting in the brine long enough to be called a pickle. If the sauce was lighter on the pulled pork, this would've been an exceptional dish. BBQ Tomato Bisque I don't know what I was imagining when I ordered this, probably the tomato basil soup from La Madeleines which this was not. I felt that this dish was inedible. It was like eating spoonfuls of hot BBQ sauce with an apple sauce texture. I didn't want to be ugly, but our server knew something was wrong when my soup looked untouched and had it comped. A few of the dishes need tweaking, but between that, the ambiance, location and service, we'll definitely be coming back again.

Great vibe. Great pub food. Royale with Cheese is a must have. Just wish the movie was playing in the background. Good friendly service makes you just want to hang out whether indoors or outside.

I had excellent food here today. Killer calamari and hot/sweet wings for our appetizers that came out relatively fast. Our favorite is still the calamari b/c they take it to the next level by frying the lemon wedges in it too (yes its edible and yes its delicious!). They serve it with their marinara and sweet chili sauce. The hot/sweet wings are basically like any other wings---can't really go wrong here. My salad was the ahi tuna salad, seared rare to perfection. My bf got the pita club, which he enjoyed but wasn't comparable to Jason's Deli club royale. Service was a little off today in the beginning which is shocking, b/c they are usually spot on. He didn't really come back to our table when we were ready to order, and we sorta had to flag him down. Didn't really phase me though, because once the meal got going our server topped off our waters promptly. I love love love Marlows!!!

It had been a few months since I dined at Marlow's. Normally I have a great dining experience but my last visit was less than acceptable. I met a friend for dinner and drinks. My friend arrived prior to me and already had a glass of wine. I literally waited 15 minutes for our server to come by the table (btw our server was the same woman who greeted me when I entered the restaurant). Finally got a glass of wine and she did not ask if we were interested in ordering an appetizer or a meal. Just dropped off the wine and walked off quickly. There was a group at the bar that she seemed to know and they had the focus of her attention as she was hugging the patrons and lingering at the bar. Finally, after another 30 minutes and no check in and 2 empty glasses of wine, our server returned. We asked to order and ordered hummus and 2 house salads with chicken and 2 glasses of wine. Food came quickly and the hummus was delicious. The salads were just okay. The lettuce was limp and the whole plate was soaked in dressing. Chicken on salad was just okay ( a little dry ). Note, glasses of wine have not arrived yet. After another 10 minutes we flagged down our server to inquire about our drinks (we did not have anything to drink...no water, no coffee, no wine). Finally get wine and we go ahead and ask for our checks. Checks came quickly. We paid. We left annoyed by this experience. Did I mention this was a Monday at 6:30. Hardly have the "it's busy on the weekends" excuse going for them.

Since my last review at Marlow's, the manager contacted me to come in and try the Burger Lettuce Wrap in house. I didn't think it could be much different in house vs take-out, but boy was I wrong! It was prepared perfectly. The burger was nice and juicy and the lettuce was crisp and fresh. I highly recommend it! Also, they have a heated patio section for the winter season. It's actually quite cozy out there, so don't be afraid to give it a try. We also tried some asparagus fries while we were there, which I also recommend. A sneaky, yet tasty way to eat your veggies.
(4)Amy V.
This is a great neighborhood bar. I went with a friend for drinks and sat out on their patio. They had a guy playing his guitar. He had a great personality and got along with the audience. The song selection was great. The servers and bartenders were super friendly and the atmosphere was fun. It was a regular Thursday crowd of after work people who were happy to have a drink and enjoy the music.
(4)Franklin B.
Outstanding, always a treat. The chef is creative, the specials are fantastic. The service staff is attentive and friendly.
(5)Brent G.
Long Wait- 30 minutes, but it was busy so can't complain that they are doing a lot of business. Service was very good- waiter friendly and attentive, lots of refills on our sweet teas and drinks. The reason for the average stars is because the food was very mediocre. I was not impressed with my Bison Burger nor was I visually wowed with my colleague's choices of fish tacos and salads. The food was just OK, but the service and atmosphere was A+

Disclaimer: I have never actually dined in - or even consumed a beverage in - Marlow's Tavern. That being said, I think the highest praise you could give bar food is to order it as carry-out. And that's exactly what I did last week. Expectations are generally pretty low when it comes to food at bars/taverns/pubs. If it's deep fried and will adequately sop up the alcohol in my digestive system without imparting food poisoning, then it's a-okay in my book. Last week I had house guests and no one wanted to go out to eat. And I couldn't get the entire group to agree on one particular kind of food (pizza, chinese, sandwiches, etc.) so we were at a stalemate. Fortunately I remembered that Marlow's Tavern is right around the corner from my house and I'd heard they sling out decent grub. Their website even provides a separate menu for take-out orders. Score! The phone ordering process was straightforward which was honestly a surprise. I mean, this is a bar. People usually go TO bars to get drunk. If they leave with anything, it's probably an impending hangover or a nagging sense of regret. Not styrofoam containers. I rolled in 20 minutes later and paid at the bar. Again, very simple and quick despite the fact that the place was packed on a weekend night. The kitchen was just packing up the last of my food when I signed the receipt. Good timing! I was very glad to be taking the food with me though, because it was noisy and uncomfortable in there. Not really my kind of scene. Back home, everyone was pleased with their food. We had a couple of burgers, a couple of sandwiches, a steak salad, shrimp n' grits, and some various sides. My club sandwich was served on pita bread which was a nice twist. Very fresh and tasty. Most of my friends got fries on the side, but I opted for the "white cheddar grit cake" - basically a fried block of grits and cheese. It was without a doubt the better choice. The burgers were cooked perfectly and according to order, which again, was really surprising to me. We had ordered one medium rare, one medium, and one well-done (ugh). Each was spot-on. Rave reviews all around the table. I doubt I would ever dine-in at Marlow's Tavern, but I wouldn't hesitate to place another carry-out order. It's convenient, reasonably priced, and there is a lot of variety on the to-go menu so everyone can order something they like. Plus, it's nearby so I could walk there if I wanted to. (Not that I would ever want to do that... I live in the suburbs, which means I drive to my mailbox.)
(4)Tammi D.
The food here is just okay...the fish tacos are decent. My favorite thing about this place is the sangrias....one of the best I've had. Everything else is just okay. I do like the outdoor seating option.
(3)Kal B.
What a fantastic meal and service. This place was a wonderful surprise. We went on a Tuesday night so it most likely wasn't as crowded as what you find on a weekend. Two of us had gumbo and jambalaya, one had blackened salmon, and one had an open faced steak sandwich. All the meals were fresh, hot, and served quickly. Being first time visitors we received a complementary appetizer of home cut chips with Gorgonzola cheese sauce. It was excellent. We finished with chocolate pie and bread pudding for dessert. I'm not a huge bread pudding fan but the chocolate pie was good. The servers were helpful and friendly and we were very well taken care of. I can highly recommend Marlow's.

I was in the establishment this evening with my boss who raved about the wonderful food and experience of Marlow's Tavern. We ordered the Tavern Double Cheese cheeseburgers and our waiter while taking our order only wrote down "burgers," which led to us receiving general bland hamburgers. Once informed of this the waiter NEVER apologized for his mistake but he did inform you of this discrepency. Your solution was inadequate. They offered to only charge us for hamburgers. Well I would hope so, since that is all we got. I would have been irate if you had charged us for anything more. Thus, there really was no real resolution except, you pay for what you got. In my opinion this is poor customer service. Again, the waiter NEVER apologized for his mistake. He then was very short and very inattentive. Simply dropping the check off at the table and never asking anything more. I was going to order dessert, but he literally dropped the check and turned his back to us to 150% more attentively focus on other customers. I felt disrespected and discriminated against. Thus, I ordered nothing else. This was my first visit to Marlow's Tavern and I assure you my last. I will now take to social media and share my experience. I also would never recommend this establishment to anyone and will share my terrible experience.
(1)Jill R.
"So you want your burger and fish together?..uh that's weird" Okay, so this night started promising, ended up not so much, but was still hysterical. Went with my mom for a few drinks and dinner. Waiter seemed nice until he forgot our appetizer, blamed us for it (saying that we were too indecisive), and then only brought us half of the dinner we ordered. Another waiter came over and told us he gave our fish tacos to another table. When we told him we didn't want to start until we had our entire meal, he told us that it was "weird" to order fish and hamburger together? Really dude? Have you ever heard of Surf and Turf? After that we though we were getting free drinks to make up for the delicious ahi tuna appetizer that we would never get to taste Thinking we got our drinks for free, we were happy...until we got the bill AND THEY CHARGES US! Oh no you didn't! Finally, we got it taken off the bill. It wasn't like we were being obnoxious, the staff was being aggressive and I don't appreciate going out with my mom and being treated like it's my fault that our order was messed up. I will go back here becasue they do have really good fish tacos but every "recommendation" I make will have this story tagged onto it.

This is the very first Marlow's Tavern and the quality is still fantastic. I think what sets this one apart from its peers is they continuously keep their standard high. The servers are friendly and easy to talk to when you are ordering. They are attentive and prompt. One of the managers (Steve) is a great guy and takes great care of everyone. Please say hello to him if he is there! The food is tasty, inventive, and prepared well. I recommend the Grilled Atlantic Salmon. Chef prepares it perfectly every time and I have yet to have a bad meal there. The appetizers are great whether you are ordering a main course or not. I recommend the asparagus fries or the truffle fries. Both are tasty and great with a group. I've also had the Grilled Chicken Panini which is positively delicious. I think the Basil Aioli seals the dish nicely. Their Tavern Burger is a good standby if you enjoy classic bar fare. The bar serves drinks with god pours and they usually have a seasonal beer on tap. If you are a beer aficionado, then you'll enjoy their selection more often than not. The wine list is good and the house wines are better than the average restaurant. You can't go wrong. Much of the time, the ministries over at Saint Brigid meet at Marlow's after they've ended their session. It gets to be a lot of fun when you know most of the patrons and the staff. I love this Marlow's Tavern and I hope to see you there. If you are there at the same time as me, stop over and say hello!

Thursday afternoon around 1:30pm. No pollen, 74 degrees, cold beer and a good burger. no rug rats, no crying babies....this was heaven
(4)Juan M.
It was fine; kind of a typical suburban tavern. No complaints with anything, but kind of personality-less. It's in one of a million strip shopping centers (though nice). There are the de rigueur TVs and decorations that you pull out of "building a neighborhood bar" guidebook. Food was fine though pretty high on fat; drinks were good too. This is the kind of place that you take out-of-town folks to when you want to have a safe experience.
(3)Scott S.
Very good bistro style restaurant and bar. Dependable neighborhood-joint-type atmosphere.
(4)Amy S.
Great Lettuce Wrap Burger..Just right on a hot Georgia night! The tomato jam on top of the burger was yummy! Tavern fries and a cold beer to complete the meal. Our server Shane was attentive to our needs. We did have a 20 minute wait which was no problem. Will be a repeat customer! 7/2/14
(4)Joyce S.
Love, love, love Marlows! We probably eat there once a week. The one family restaurant everyone likes. I love the fish tacos and the fried asparagus. My kids love the kettle chips, the black and blue burger, shrimp and grits and fries!! And the price is so reasonable too.
(5)Rock T.
My wife and I had a great dinner here on Friday night for my B'day. It was crowded, but didn't have to wait more than 10-15 mins. before they found us a table. I had the shrimp & grits which were the best I've since being in Charleston. My wife had the fish tacos which were also very good. We live nearby, but looks like the clientele draws from the more upscale neighborhoods nearby (CC of the South, etc...). Nice atmosphere, a little noisy, but folks are all having nice time. We had a very nice server named Scott Epps. Brought me a side order of the hottest jalapeno's I have EVER had.. We will be coming here again.
(4)Jessica M.
Great food and atmosphere! This was our first visit and they gave us a complimentary serving of their awesome chips! Went there to watch football and discovered a delicious and varied menu, will definitely be back!
(5)Tomaso F.
This place does a great job at creating a local watering hole feel yet it has really good food to go along with the "where everyone knows your name" feel. Their concept works. Many of us who lived nearby liked the rock star treatment and became regulars. Staff is friendly as any you will ever run in to and the draft beer list had a decent variety last time I was there. I like the Buffalo chicken wrap sandwich when I'm looking for a quick bite. Occasionally will see a celeb or pro athlete in this tavern since Country Club of the South (my old neighborhood) and a few other gated golf communities are nearby.
(4)Maria A.
Always good --it always delivers a delicious, tasty and reasonable priced meal. My wife and i have gone to this location for the past few years -- the service is good and everyone is very friendly. Our favorite -- kettle chips and Marlow's cheeseburger.
(5)Cassidy F.
I love Marlows! We visit this location all the time and make a point to bring visitors when they come from out of town. Great food (I LOVE the Gorgonzola dressing on the Black and Bleu Steak Salad and the Tuna Poke appetizer) and consistently friendly service. I definitely recommend you check it out!
(5)Caddis F.
Excellent atmosphere, good drinks, meh food. Been to this location many, many times. The last two times, the food quality has fallen off dramatically. Over seasoned, or not seasoned, sloppy and just not what it used to be. Marlow's seems like they are more concerned about getting the food out as quickly as possible and forgoing quality. Too bad, such a good place, it used to be.
(2)L T.
Yummy! Great atmosphere & tasty food. I had the grilled cheese & some truffle fries- both were delicious & filling. Another family member had the shrimp & grits- looked like there was a pound of shrimp on her plate! Our table also had burgers which looked huge & delicious- can't wait to go back again!
(4)Sweet P.
Nice location. Menu was a bit limited in my opinion. Visited on my lunch hour. Had a salmon salad and it was pretty good. Only minor down side is once you get inside your eyes have to adjust to the darkness and vice Versa when you are leaving. Customer service and staff was very pleasant. Food came out quickly.
(3)Nancy R.
I don't remember the other Marlow's Tavern being this good, but I really like this one! There's outdoor seating and room for large parties. The drink menu or adult beverage menu has a variety of drinks. FOOD: I love their hummus! It comes with warm pitas, carrots and celery. I had their Tavern Burger, which was cooked to my liking and comes with a side of pub fries, which were very good. I also had the BLT Chicken Salad that has crisp Romaine lettuce with grilled chicken, apple smoked bacon, artichoke hearts, tomato, basil, vinaigrette with grilled pita (I had it without cheese) with Ranch dressing. It was very good and filling. TIP: If the shopping strip gets busy, the parking may be a problem.
(4)Ken B.
We have been regular customers of Marlow's Old Alabama location for a number of years. The food is fantastic! It is always fresh and very tasty. We also get great service. One of the waiters knows us so well, he brings us drinks before we even have a chance to ask for them. Whatever you like, you will find something on the menu to suit you. I have to admit that we usually avoid Friday and Saturday nights as it is just too busy, but that is a great sign that it is popular enough to keep people coming back. We have also tried other locations, but Old Alabama remains my favorite.

What a great way to spend my last night in the south. My friend was going to bed early and I having driven from Montgomery, AL to Atlanta, GA, to Duluth, GA was not ready to call it a night. She handed me her house keys, gate key and wished me luck. Garmin - show me where the fun is. I take it this place was converted from the place I was actually looking for called the Corner Bar. (it was 10 or 11, I was looking for things that were divey and would be open. I walk in, it was kind fo dead, but very pretty, park myself at the bar and order a drink. The drink menu is pretty inventive, I ordered a cotton candy martini and later a white peach margarita. The cotton candy martini - was cool, becuase they actually use cotton candy. Who'd have thunk. Within 10 minutes, one of the regulars was chatting me up. His wife was not so nice and the rest of his crowd was standoffish, which was sad, cause I was flying solo and looking for people to chat with. Eventually they left and the bar went to really dead. However, the God's must have smiled on me and a new set of regulars came in. One of them is named Jason. He and his wife Theresa were AWESOME. They made what could have been a crappy night - hilarious. The night turned into hours of drinking, crap talking, smart-ass commentary and just plain fun. I really can't recall the last time I have laughed so hard with complete strangers. The staff, management, patrons - rock. Apparently, I made it home at 3 in the morning (I had to make a pit stop at Kroger's cause my tummy took a sour turn - don't know what did that, but can I tell you how embarassing it is to have unusual bowel functions at your first and only night in place with people you've meet and actually like - well yes - yes I can. Thank Goodness for immodium adn 24 HR grocery stores) If I ever come back out this was - I'd like to sample the food. I stole the menu, shrimp and grits, serious steak and eggs served with a bearnaise, truffled parmasean fries - that all looks good.

I started with four stars but can't think of how to justify not giving the fifth. Came here today to get a quick lunch while house shopping and it was exactly the break I needed. Had a Fat Tire draft in a super-clean glass that held the head for like five minutes. Black and bleu burger was great even without crumbled bleu cheese (they use cream dressing) and grilled asparagus as a side is a unique, high end touch. Decor is comfortable chic and although there are several TVs, they weren't the main feature and some of them even showed news. Server was great and answered the typical questions with such poised finesse. I was deciding between fish tacos and the burger and he asked when I'd last had red meat instead of copping out and saying they're both good. Impressed all the way through. They know who they are and then they kill it.

Probably the best hamburgers I have eaten, and some of our other favorites are the grits and the kettle chips. Service is also good, food prices are somewhat reasonable, but the drink prices (especially beer prices) are extremely too high. But eat the food and drink H2O (which is still free), and you will be really impressed with the food.

Zing! Another rad review from the stylist next door. I get so busy at the salon that when I need some grub, and I mean desperately need some fuel I run next door not only because the food to me is simply grand but they keep it all nice and warm for me until I get there. To me in my business, customer service is key and I know this joint does this for all their customers. I really like the bartenders Dusty, Allison, and Chris as well. Those three are quite the catch!
(5)Lucia L.
The atmosphere is really nice, you have the choice of feeling intimate, or out in the open with the crowd. I have dreams about the kettle chips here, and the black and blue salad is AMAZING. If i could have it every day, i would. The service is beyond great, they really care about their patrons, and i have noticed many regulars come in, and the servers greet them by name. It can get pretty busy on the weekends, but that wont stop me and my friends from coming back. Love it.

I decided to go here on Sunday, 7-25, cause I was hungry and I wanted to try somewhere new, away from all my typical bars. Plus my girlfriend is out of town so I have complete rule over where I go. Anyways, I went it, and it wasnt overly busy, but there were people in there. I sat at the bar, and Chris came up to me, introduced himself to me, and immediately made my drink, Crown and Sprite, and it was damn good. The food was all good, from a side Caeser Salad to the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. The only thing I wasnt big on was the fries, which is weird cause I love me some French Fries, but overall the meal was incredibly good. I will definitely be back for sure.

I was in Atlanta for work and just chose this place at random to eat. The place was pretty packed, especially for a Monday night (possibly for monday night football or the World Series), but I was on my own so I sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and courteous, made a point to learn my first name and made some conversation. The food (grilled chicken panini with grilled asparagus) was excellent. The only issue that i had was their small selection of draught beer (they had 4 on tap: Fat Tire, Yeungling, Guinness, and i forget the 4th). Also, apparently they'd just had a big weekend (Halloween) and were out of a lot of stuff, including all the draught beer but the Fat Tire, which they ran out of just before i left. Still, aside from that, great food and great service. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone in the area.

We've had good meals at other Marlow's, but this location leaves much to be desired. The portions were small...McDonald's serves a larger (and better) grilled chicken than this $9 plate with a tiny side salad...the featured ingredients...like basil and feta in the skimpy watermelon salad...were few and far between. The service was slow and very disorganized. Save yourself a disappointment...go elsewhere.

Great chef.. Nice food ate here twice . I had their fish tacos . Recommend big time !!

Of the metro and in town Marlow's Taverns, this is my absolute least favorite location. The midtown one, despite always being packed is more efficient. (Favorite location is the Smyrna or Kennesaw location) When I have had a bad week/day or just want (what I consider) comfort food, I want Marlow's. Good bar/tavern food always makes me feel better. I have eaten just about everything on the menu and find everything amazing when it has been properly and timely prepared. This location is TERRIBLE for that. They are incredibly slow. If going on a Thursday/Friday/Saturday, expect to wait for at least 30 minutes to be seated. Once seated, be prepared to wait 20-45 for food. And if seated inside, don't expect to hear your fellow party goers. They have crammed so many tables into such a tight space and have no waiting area for people who want to be seated. So the people will just overcrowd the bar and your table. This restaurant has big issues with waiters as well. There are 2 that I like and the rest are awful. They can't get an order right- so forget it if you have a food allergy eg tomato. Food wise- Marlow's has a great menu. As far as this location- drive a little further to a different location, it's a whole different experience.
(3)Chris A.
Great little local tavern, great food, good service in a nice tavern type atmosphere with a patio. Only reason I did not go 5 stars is because of their draught beer selection and there are never beer specials. They only have about 5 beers on draught, and 5 bucks a beer when other places in the area are running 3-4 buck specials occasionally...well, that is important to me in a bad economy. Same thing with apps and entrees...a few dollars more than you would pay in the average tavern atmosphere, but the food is very good. Patio is happening on Friday and Saturdays. I would say 4.5 stars...I go back from time to time.

I live ITP and have a hard time finding a restaurant to meet at in Alpharetta for lunch. I'm not big on chain restaurants. Other than 5 Seasons and Pure Taqueria, I never know where to go. I have been to Marlows twice now and like the menu options. The buffalo chicken wrap with gorgonzola and a side of asparagus fries are really yummy.
(4)Gina C.
I've been here several times. Today, I came here for a quick lunch. I wanted to sit on the patio since the weather was so nice, but there was a wait. Started off with the parm fries. They were okay. Def needs some ketchup to dip in bc they were a little bland. I ordered the chicken panini with a side of fruit. The panini was just average. My friend ordered the BLT chicken salad. It really looked good. She enjoyed her meal. Overall, just an average place to grab a quick lunch. They are quite busy during lunch and our service was a little slow.
(3)ChristinaVy H.
Perfect location to dine in w/ friends or anyone! Always have friendly service and food is delicious!! Gotta love the shrimp and crab nacho plate along with asparagus fries :)
(4)Boris Y.
It's not bad, it's not great. I think they were better when they were one location. The problem is, while they have good burger and fries, now so does everyone else. Still nice place to have a beer. I like the bar. I don't need a fantastic beer selection, so I've seen better but not a horrible draft selection. Nice, clean bar, okay food.

I'm giving an absolute A for effort to these guys. We stopped in after grabbing a quick haircut (my sis-in-law is a hairstylist in Alpharetta). I've seen the Marlow's iconic M around town but couldn't put my finger on where. Turns out its because they're kinda allover. Anyway, the space was cozy with rich woods and brick walls. Our server immediately greeted us and upon learning it was our first trip to a Marlow's told us we're in for a treat (a little cheesy but we appreciated the excitement from our bald, 30-ish waiter). Shortly after receiving our drinks we placed an order. Being just after New Years and having a wedding 9 months away we're pretending to watch what we eat for at least a month so we ordered healthy. I ordered the grilled buffalo chicken wrap with - admittedly not healthy - the fried okra. She ordered a side salad and the sweet and tangy shrimp app. After a little pressure to try an appetizer we finally convinced our waiter Ian that what we had ordered would suffice (watch those calories!!). No sooner had he left that the GM introduced himself and presented us with a scrumptious, calorie-packed blue cheese chip appetizer as a First Time gift. We hoovered every chip and then sulked at our lack of self control. Unfortunately my wrap came out incorrectly with fried chicken instead of the requested grilled but after their offering and excitement for our visit i didn't have the heart to speak up. The okra is whole fried which saddened me and the batter was super duper greasy (also saddening). My meal was still very good and my fiance loved her salad and shrimp but i left thinking i could have eaten the patty melt and a side salad and probably been rowing the same fat boat. I hate you cognitive dissonance! The restaurant was probably at 75% occupancy and our visit was during lunch hours on a Friday. I never had an empty water and felt that my service was above and beyond, so much that Ian poked his head out the door to wave goodbye and thank us again as we walked to the car.

We are near here often and have eaten at this location since they opened. I think it may have been the first (or maybe second) Marlows in the area. Anyway... Decent food, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere, usually friendly servers. My only advice is stick to certain dishes. What is good. Burger (yes, ugh, everyone serves good burgers now but the tavern burger has been what we go out for when we want a burger for years); the fish tacos are delicious; the black and blue salad is good - the tomatoes are always delicious year round - dont know how they do it when other restaurants have pale, tasteless ones. The dressing is nice too though they apply too much - get it on the side Love the grits, okra and fries for sides. Oh and the edamame hummus is a nice light dinner/snack option I'm still missing two items they served years ago and have taken off the menu - a cauliflower/Parmesan soup and a roast chicken club that had a granny smith apple slaw. Oh, Marlow's, bring those back please. This weekend we went and the menu has been tweaked again. We ordered the short rib - while the meat was well cooked the sauce was - WHOA salty, the risotto was crunchy (what?) and the texture was cornstarchy and sticky rather than creamy. It was hands down the worst dish I have had out in a long time and wanted to send it back but was starving so I ate the rib moving the sauce out of the way and downed about 4 glasses of tea. I'm still thirsty. Overall a decent, neighborhood weeknight place.

Great neighborhood bar. I haven't had anything I didn't like plus they they treat you like family.

Great food and diverse menu. The kids menu is also very good.

I could eat here multiple times a week , order something different each time while enjoying every bit of it! I've had Marlow's salmon, fish tacos, black and blue salad, chicken buffallo wrap...etc etc and loved them all. Highly recommended for a girl's night out, catching up with an old friend or just wanting a delicious meal for a great price!
(4)Liza D.
Top notch service, excellent food, great atmosphere! We found Marlo's courtesy of Yelp. Our experience began with our server Ashley. She provided great recommendations. Everything we ordered was delicious! Definitely coming back. The only thing we did not have a chance to try was desert...next time!
(5)Gabriel S.
(5)Bob S.
(4)Lala D.

Excellent food and menu is always changing with the seasons. My wife and I eat here frequently and definitely recommend it. Servers are very personable and everything is consistently good.
(4)James D.

(4)Brent B.
Delicious lunch had the Brie app and holy cow it was great! Wife had black and blue salad and I had black and blue burger. Fries were plentiful, crispy and delicious. Burger was cooked well and very tasty. Wife's salad was enormous. She loved it.

Very good!
(4)Brian C.

Great atmosphere, great drinks, and great service. Thanks to manager Chris for the kettle chips!

(5)Kal B.

Great vibe. Great pub food. Royale with Cheese is a must have. Just wish the movie was playing in the background. Good friendly service makes you just want to hang out whether indoors or outside.

The food here is just okay...the fish tacos are decent. My favorite thing about this place is the sangrias....one of the best I've had. Everything else is just okay. I do like the outdoor seating option.

Outstanding, always a treat. The chef is creative, the specials are fantastic. The service staff is attentive and friendly.

Very good bistro style restaurant and bar. Dependable neighborhood-joint-type atmosphere.

Yummy! Great atmosphere & tasty food. I had the grilled cheese & some truffle fries- both were delicious & filling. Another family member had the shrimp & grits- looked like there was a pound of shrimp on her plate! Our table also had burgers which looked huge & delicious- can't wait to go back again!

(4)Ashley S.
(5)R M.

(4)Libby D.

The food was just OK, but the service and atmosphere was A+
(3)Gina C.
(3)Nicci R.
(4)ChristinaVy H.
(2)Charles K.
Great neighborhood bar. I haven't had anything I didn't like plus they they treat you like family.
(5)laura j.

(4)Karie L.

(5)Delaney D.
(5)Joyce S.
