Lemon Grass lived up to its yelp. We were traveling through and relied on Yelp to pick our spot tonight. The atmosphere is very calming. The food was excellent. It wasn't over spiced. My Chicken Pad Thai needed fish sauce and Sriracha but I'd rather adjust up to what I like rather than eat something that is to hot.

I travel a lot and search out tasty food in a lot of cities. Even Tuscalooa, AL has a wonderful Thai spot called Ruan. Try it if you're ever there. I ordered take out from Lemon Grass. It took an unusually long time (I had time to go to the liquor store up the street, come back and still waited 15 more min). Which was even more irksome because when at home, I was eating and came across a few pieces of the garlic chicken that were still COLD on the inside. Garlic Chicken tasted like it was made with powdered garlic (not fresh), strangely greasy and squishy carrots. Boo. Ginger shrimp was much better, more flavorful. Order that. The bottoms of the basil rolls were gummy where the rice paper was too thick and wet. Pretty tasty, but the gumminess was distracting. The hostess was really friendly and quite helpful. She was attentive to me and the young father with a small child who were also waiting for takeout. She was also helping serve tables. Great hustle!

Loved the Panang Curry and Pad Thai Noodles! Expect to pay under $10 per person for lunch. Staff sat us in the back room by the bar area and almost forgot we were there. Overall good food and decent lunch prices! Just don't forget to serve customers seated in the other areas of the restaurant that is not visible.

Lemon Grass is really a hidden gem in Albany. I was in town for a few days for a business trip and had a hard time finding a good place to eat. I was so glad to find Lemon Grass on Yelp! and read the reviews. When I got there, the parking lot was packed and I got the last spot. That was a good sign to start with. The decor was very inviting and the hostess and waiter were very quick to take care of me. I had the Boatman which normally is very spicy, but the waiter said it was no problem to make it mild for me. I had it with shrimp and I was pleased with the number of shrimp in the dish. The sauce was so delicious that I did not need to add any additional seasoning to it. For dessert I had the sticky rice with grilled pineapple. It was made perfectly and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite even though I was stuffed by that point. The next time I travel to Albany I will definitely go to Lemon Grass again.

This place is a must if you EVER happen to be in Albany GA. Which is full of great people. I've had two trips to this place and have loved ever bite. The staff has been consistently friendly and helpful. Got the cashew dish each time with different apps to start. Great meals.

This was my first time trying Thai an I was very excited. The host who was Hispanic upon entering was VERY RUDE! Then a very nice lady came and took my order. I was ordering to go so I was unable to receive the soup and drink. I ordered the Garlic and Gingerine. The Garlic was amazing and the Gingerine had way too much ginger that it was almost bitter. I expected much better food with more flavor did not get that here... Do not think I will be revisiting or suggesting this place in the future!

Very good quality. Currys are all good. Everything on menu is very goog. This restaurant is also very consistent. Spiciness of food is almost nonexistent but you can request more heat and they are happy to comply. Must try.

This place was good. I had a lemon drop martini that didn't impress me much, but I am not a big drinker either. I was adventurous and tried something I won't even attempt to spell, but it wasn't the most impressive thing ever. It was decent though. I will say that the calamari appetizer I had here was the best I have ever had in Albany. They really cooked it nicely and the cuts were wonderful. The sauce was the one place I wish it had been a little better, but it is waves better than anything else in the area. I am not saying it was the best calamari ever, but if you want some in Albany I will say it is the best I've had in the area. I would definitely give this place another shot and I hope to in the near future. The biggest thing I can say is that it is a bit pricey for the Albany area. I don't think that should hold you back, though. You'll have to also keep an eye out for it. It is in the old Austin's BBQ location in the front of a grocer store parking lot. It's just off of Meredyth Dr (it can be hard to see from the road coming from Dawson rd). I would advise you give this place a shot.

Scroll over to see the updated menu in the photos; the one listed is before they increased their prices. Still super tasty but now in the $12-15 range.

Good food. I have tried several entrees and all have been well prepared. The Thai iced tea is very nice. Be wary of the drink menu. $16 for a small bottle of sake?!

I went there for dinner. When I was seated, the waitress told me it was happy hour, which they offer $2 domestic beers and $5 margeritas between 5-7 pm during the week. Not a bad deal at all. The restaurant itself contains a full-sized bar if you wanted to get a drink before dinner. As for the menu, it is your standard Thai cuisine which included noodle dishes as well as curry dishes. Any entree comes with your choice of meat, shrimp or tofu. I ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer. They were cooked well. For my entree I ordered the pad Thai with tofu. The portion size was large but the spice was lacking. I like spicy so I asked my waitress for hot sauce. She brought me two types: regular and a thicker sauce with pepper seeds in it. Both were good and did the trick. Overall, not the best Thai food I have had but as the gentleman who recommended the place to me stated, "not bad for Albany , GA."

Wonderful cuisine! We always enjoy our meal here no matter when we come--what we order. A great secret in Albany!!

Great atmosphere. Great service. But best of all is the food. I have eaten Thai all over the US. The Green Curry here I would put up against anywhere I have eaten! My wife never cleans her plate, but got the fried shrimp with veggies and rice. No togo plate for her!

Food is pretty good. A little pricey though for what you get. I really haven't had a bad meal yet even if I don't know what it is. The cucumber soup is good when you can catch it.

Each visit has been a bit different from the last. The food is always good but the service is inconsistent. However, that is usually the case in Albany, Ga. All in all I will frequent Lemongrass because I love good Thai.

Had lunch at Lemongrass today. Food was great, not as spicy as I thought but nothing a little sriracha couldn't fix. The only downside was service was a bit slow. They took a while to seat us, and then took a while to take our order (at first asked to take the order while handing us the menu, then took about 15 mins after that to come back to check). When we finally had placed our order, 20 mins had gone by since we had arrived. For someone who has to return to work in less than 1 hr, this is problematic. If they tweak the service just a bit (everyone was VERY nice, just a little slow), this place would be 5 stars. If you've got time to kill, this is the place for you!

This place opened less than a month ago. Wife and I went there today for the first time just as they were opening (5 PM). We were seated right by the window but there were about 20 flies on the windows / blinds beside us so we changed tables. We split a crispy calamari appetizer ($8). The calamari was batter dipped and nice and crispy, hot and tasty. It came with a sweet chili sauce which was also good. The filipina waitress was very friendly and attentive. For the main course I ordered the Red Curry with Beef ($8). It came with a small bowl of rice and it was very good curry. Medium - spicy. My wife ordered the Pad Thai Talay ($14). "Scallops, shrimp, and crab meat, noodles wok-tossed with egg, bean sprouts in Pad Thai, sprinkled with crushed peanuts" according to the menu. It had 4 nice size scallops, 4 nice size shrimp, and 4 pieces of IMITATION crab meat. The imitation crab cost this place a star in my book. The menu said crab meat, nothing about ground up, shaped fish colored to look roughly similar to crab meat. The fake crab made us both a little mad but she did tell me her food was very good otherwise. I am really happy that we finally have a Thai restaurant in Albany, GA. It is good and I believe it will only get better with experience. They really do need to get rid of those flies and the fake seafood though. Hopefully I can bump it up to 4 stars after our next visit!

This has become my favorite place in Albany. I've gotten the salmon with red curry, which is absolutely awesome. Also love the coconut gelato. Highly recommend.

I love this restaurant. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is wonderful. My husband and I have eaten at night six time now. The red curry dishes are my favorite and he like the green curry dishes. My favorite is the Boatman ( red curry ), and I also like the green curry salmon. We have also gotten take out several times. We took my son once when he was home visiting. He does not eat spicy food, and the staff was very helpful in educating us about the menu so that he made a good selection. Albany is lucky to have this restaurant.

My wife and I have eaten at Lemon Grass weekly for over two months. Great addition to Albany! Between us we've tried almost all the entrees, and all have been very good to excellent. We really like the subdued atmosphere compared to the noisy ambiance of most of the other decent restaurants in town. Thai egg rolls were tasty appetizers. Service staff is very attentive, which is rare in Albany. The restaurant has very few glitches for such a young establishment.
