I decided to try Sprinkles based on all the positive Yelp reviews. I picked up an assortment of cupcakes. The staff was friendly and service was great. I really want to rave about the cupcakes themselves, but I can't. While the cakes were moist, they were not flavorful. The icing too was lacking. None of the flavors I tried tasted any better or different than those found on a dessert bought from Walmart or Costco (and I find their desserts to be horrid). Maybe they were having an off day, I don't know... But I won't be coming back. Perhaps it's an acquired taste.

Sprinkles was there every step of the way of our wedding process! The wedding cake was gorgeous and delicious! :) I just found one I liked online and they re-created it beautifully!

"Life's Too Short...Eat Dessert First!" This is the motto of Sprinkles Custom Cakes...and I couldn't agree more! They're most well known for their extravagant wedding cakes, but can cater to just about any occasion. AND their cakes taste EXCEPTIONALLY, AMAZINGLY DECLICIOUS! As far as flavors go, Sprinkles has the traditional chocolate, vanilla, and marble as well as red velvet, lemon and a few unique creations of their own. Even better....it's like a match made in heaven when the cake is topped with any flavor of butter cream icing. YUM-O! Aside from weddings, Sprinkles can make cakes for baby showers, graduations, birthdays and they even have a special line of adult-only cakes. When it comes to the shape and design of a cake the skies the limit. They can do just about anything, whether it's 2-D or 3-D, animals or buildings...just name it and your wish will be granted. As for pricing, they're not cheap, but the quality and the taste are well worth the price if you can afford it. The demand for these tasty creations is high I'm sure, especially during the holidays and "wedding season." Overall, I'm sold...but then again I'm a sucker for sweets :)

Great experience with Sprinkles for a custom wedding cake. Larry was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. He obviously has tons of experience, which really helped me (the groom) make some decisions. I really appreciated his customer service which many bakeries seemed to lack. Our cake was beautiful and so delicious. My wife and I ended up going with Yellow Raspberry Swirl cake with raspberry and buttercream filling. The fondant was very good: solid, but not at all gummy. Go in for a tasting and see for yourself. All in all, I highly recommend Sprinkles. Can't wait to make a first anniversary cake next year!

Now THIS is a cupcake! I never would have known that Sprinkles in Winter Park also sells single cupcakes, as well as custom cakes, if it hadn't been for their sign advertising that $1 from each cupcake purchased went to a Haiti relief fund. Sold! At $2.50 a piece they are reasonable and let me say, HUGE! Unlike some dedicated cupcake shops theirs are not premade or very fancy. The day we stopped by they had several varieties to choose from. We ended up with Marble, Carrot Cake, Oh My God (Chocolate with raspberry swirl), Red Velvet, Cookies & Cream and Yellow with Raspberry Swirl. There are 3 icings to choose from to create your own cupcake: Buttercream, Chocolate Buttercream and Cream Cheese. What really stands out about these cupcakes is how moist they are. I'd have to say they are the moistest cupcakes I've had! As we waited for our cupcakes we checked out all the custom cakes waiting for pick up and they looked amazing. If their cakes taste anything like their cupcakes I'd definitely put in an order! They aren't cheap but they are beautiful!

YUM. I think that about sums it up. I mean, honestly, who doesn't enjoy a delectable cupcake delicacy. Tonight I had the pleasure of indulging in such a fine delicacy. A few months ago I was tortured by the sight of a tower of yummy looking Sprinkles cupcakes in a myriad of delicious looking flavors but was "watching my figure" so I didn't indulge. Tonight, however, I did. So worth the calories. I sampled a vanilla cupcake as well as a chocolate cupcake and followed both of those with a peanut butter and chocolate cakeshooter. Wow, one was better than the next. And I must admit the idea of a cakeshooter is sheer brillance. Why order a whole cake when you can order individual cakeshooters in a variety of flavors. I think I'd have to taste them all. For quality assurance purposes, I swear :) Either way, I know where I am heading next time I want to indulge in some delectable treats that will satiate my sweet tooth and stimulate my taste buds.

I used Sprinkles to for my wedding cake and cupcakes (to go with the cake). As my husband and I wanted a traditional fruitcake for our wedding, we were very pleased that the owner was well aware of the British tradition and that he had a recipe he had used before. The cake turned out both beautiful and delicious, and everyone loved our cupcakes. We had vanilla, lemon, and red velvet- so yummy, people were asking for extras! I would highly recommend for a wedding cake!

I don't know why I decided to try Sprinkles again...but I guess I am just a sucker for punishment. Every cupcake I have tried here (and yes, I have made this mistake often, thinking it's just that particular flavor that I am averse to) is WAY too sweet, with a consistency more like pound cake and not a whole lot of moisture. The frosting tastes like it came out of a can. For my money, Bluebird Bakery has a better cupcake. Oh, and did I mention it's hard to find parking?

I thought the owner was AWESOME and he makes incredibly gorgeous cakes. My only hang up is I only like buttercream frosting. I didn't tell him that I didn't care for the icing and since I'm an icing girl, it's hard to get me to change my ideas. I got to try all the different samples and even though they are awesome, I am going to stick with homemade cakes. I think this is an awesome place and would be a choice for me if I was getting married (b/c who wants to risk baking their own cake - not). Parking is very cramped in the back.

My husband and I made an appointment here for a tasting when we were trying to choose a place to make our wedding cupcakes. We heard such great things about their cakes, but we were incredibly disappointed. First, they guy was 10 minutes late for our tasting. When he finally showed up he wasn't all that friendly either. He treated us more like an inconvenience than a potential client. Second, the plate of cake samples had a hair on it! I couldn't eat another bite after I saw that. He also made a point of highlighting how moist the cake was and then told us it was a week old. Seriously?! As you can probably tell, we did not go with Sprinkles for our wedding.

I have ordered several birthday cakes from this bakery and have always been pleased until my purchase yesterday. I ordered a birthday cake over the phone and said it should feed 10 people. It was a simple red velvet cake with ladybugs that was to say "happy birthday." I was quoted a price of 89$. I was ok with the price because I knew what the cakes were like, that I had enjoyed in the past. When I went to pick up the cake it was very small. It was the size of a mini cake from publix that sells for 18$. The colors on the cake actually clashed and it looked ugly. I expressed my disappointment to the new manager who said that nothing in the store was less than 75$ anymore. There were sample cakes on a table that could be ordered that were twice the size of what I ordered for less. I asked the manager why the difference in price and he replied that my cake was a custom order. He offered to give me cup cakes to make up for my disappointment. I didn't want cup cakes what I wanted was a special cake for my daughters birthday. I really felt ripped off and taken advantage off. My advice to anyone who is considering making a purchase from this bakery is.....DON'T DO IT! To add insult to injury it is impossible to park at this business.

Really good cupcakes and cakeshooters! We had them at Yelp's Fire & Ice Gala Event and they were amazing. The little vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with icing were so good! They had them stacked pretty high in a wedding cake formation on one side of the room and on the other were the cakeshooters. They were displayed in two big things that looked like lolly pop holders in a candy store that spun around so you could look through the different flavors to find one you wanted to try. They had them labeled and there was a list of the different offerings on the table. I think there were eight to choose from. Awesome and delicious! We love the idea of having these at future parties.

Hands down BEST EVER!!! From product to service Sprinkles is the definition of awesome!!! I found this place on yelp thanks to Kelly F.'s wonderful review. Recently my family and I went on vacation to Orlando to bring in the new year. My mothers birthday happens to fall 2 days before the new year so I guess the trip was extra special for her. The only thing that could make it better would be a red velvet cake... that's where Sprinkles came in. I called in the order at about 3 o'clock on the Tuesday to pick it up on Wednesday. It was ready ahead of time which was perfect. The staff was awesome they have great personalities. It is a small shop. Once you walk in you see all the custom cakes on a rack.... very beautiful they definitely dont lack any creativity. After seeing a mushroom play land made of chocolate cake and topped with colorful icing, I am convinced that they can do anything. I got a 7" three layer Red Velvet cake for $25.00, it was worth every penny. I cant tell you what heaven looks like but i can tell you what it taste like. All I can say is... GO!!!!! Enjoy and Indulge

I have ordered lots of custom cakes from various places but the last 3 have been from Sprinkles and they were hands down superb! I have vowed to purchase all my cakes from Richard and his wonderful bakery. Talk about great customer service, prompt and courteous coupled with the most delicious cake my guests and I have had. Kudos! I'm so glad to have you guys available in Central Florida. Much continued success.

I can only give 4 stars due to a change in our birthday planning approach which we decided not to finalize our quote into a contract. The owner, Richard was great in corresponding with me in Boston as I emailed him various bits of inspiration images, which helped me to clarify my idea's into a 3D mock up. This process allowed me to get specific with cake design parameters and quick updated quotes based on my changes. The feedback was thorough and expedious.

Perfect cake!! We had a Winnie the Pooh theme for my son's first bday party and after meeting with Richard...I knew we had to get our cake from Sprinkles! He was so professional, organized and full of great ideas! After talking with him I was even more excited. He also provided us with a free smash cake (which I ended up eating because my son refused to touch it lol!) Our cake was 2 tiered (I posted a pic in the photo album) I did chocolate with Nutella for the top and almond with vanilla, raspberry and lemon for the bottom. It was amazing!! The cake was so moist and the butter cream creamy and delish. All our guest were raving about it. I ended up eating the left overs the whole week after. Hey - It was still fresh and delicious!! I also loved all the details that was on the cake. They made perfect little bees, honey pots and even wood grain strips of fondant. Very impressive! Thank you Richard and the Sprinkles team!!

I think of Sprinkles as the stand by. There is nothing wrong with them other than the staff is a little arrogant. They provide a decent cake but both the flavor and design is nothing to make you take notice. I had them do an anniversary cake. Just something very simple - smooth buttercream frosting with a fondant ribbon and those little dots to give it texture. They forgot the dots and the ribbon didn't actually fit the cake, it had gaps between it and the cake. Like I said it is a stand by and if I needed one in a pinch I would use them again.

The owner is rude and doesn't seem to care about customers. I have purchased many cakes from Sprinkles over the last 15 years, but it's been at least 8 years since I've used the bakery. The cake recipe is not as good as it used to be. This has to be a different owner than I used to deal with.....and he is just a cranky old man. No more Sprinkles for me. Ever. There is a lot more competition to choose from today. The days are numbered for Sprinkles.

I wish I could give this place negative stars. We bought a cake for my nephews birthday last week and we were extremely disappointed. The cake was supposed to be 'Pinacolada'. Yellow cake with an extreme swirl of pineapple and coconut, which tasted delicious when we tried it on the consultation before we bought the cake. So, we order this $120.00 dollar cake for 10 people and we were raving all week about how delicious it would be. At my nephews birthday party we cut into the cake and everyone looked puzzled, it was a simple yellow cake. No pineapple, no coconut, no nothing. It was extremely disappointing and frustrating. for 120 dollars publix could have done a better job. Today we took the cake back to sprinkles to complain and we received the worst treatment ever, they were trying to prove to us that there was a 'swirl' of pineapple and coconut somewhere in there. If you are looking for a cake, DON'T go to SPRINKLES. Bad cake, bad treatment, bad everything.

DISGUSTING, DISSAPOINTING, AND OVERPRICED! I went there this afternoon searching for cupcakes. I ordered 4red velvet, 1 chocolate, and a vanilla. After paying $15 for six cupcakes I was handed ice cold cupcakes in a clear plastic container. The red velvet tasted as though it had been previously frozen and was in the process of thawing out! $15 for ice cold cupcakes. All of the cupcakes had a wet texture to them after further inspection! TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!! For that price you expect fresh baked cupcakes, NOT A COLD WET MUSHY MESS!!
