I had lunch with a friend here the other day. I had a burger with a small salad, my buddy had a burger with fries. Pretty hard to mess up either one of these. The food was good. Everything was cooked to the right temperature. One of the things I noticed was that the restaurant looks a little dated. Bonus, on Monday, FREE PIE. Boo yah!

Perkins is becoming a great drop into place when I visit Orlando as this chain doesn't have a Dallas presence. It was late afternoon when I arrived into a mostly empty restaurant. The feel was family oriented and welcoming. I was promptly sat and provided menus. The waitress was friendly and offered some good suggestions. The Tea came promptly and was good. I ordered the Southern Chicken Biscuit breakfast with a slice of Peanut Butter Silk pie as a dessert. Once the order was placed, I began to worry about ordering biscuits this late in the day, but went ahead and decided to see what happens. When the food arrived...quickly, I add...the biscuits were flaky and fresh. Pleasantly surprised. The fried chicken patties were genuine breast pieces battered and fried and not a mash of chicken parts to look like a patty. Quality score here. The scrambled eggs were fresh and hot and the cheddar cheese was a sharp delight. The hash browns were slightly browned and crunchy...much to my delight. Bacon was medium well done and cooked fresh, it seemed. As a bonus, the side of gravy tasted like it was fresh skillet made with a punch of creamy peppery flavor. Score! If I were to compare my breakfast to a Denny's breakfast, this one definitely ups Denny's on all fronts. Very satisfied. When the Peanut Butter pie came, I was hopeful for the same experience I had last time I ate at Perkins...and was not disappointed. They have quite a selection of pies, but I find Peanut Butter pies to be sorely lacking/missing in pie shops across the country. Perkins is leading the way in this endeavor. This piece of pie has a thin slather of chocolate on the bottom of a very flaky crust. A 2" layer of creamy peanut butter filling tops it that is divine in flavor. A great combo of Peanut Butter and cream cheese and sugar. Topping it with whipping topping and a mini-PB cup. I am glad they aren't local to me because I would gain weight knowing this pie was close to home. Bottom Line: Perkins offers a great dining experience that is family friendly with quality ingredients used in their menu items. Nothing tastes like it was microwaved or frozen to fryer vat. I can appreciate that. The pricing is on the upper side of economical, so it won't break the bank as you will be getting a quality meal for a good bargain. I will be back!

They got 4 star because we went there at lunch time on sunday, therefore we had to wait over 20 minutes to get a table. The foods was great with reasonable prices

Let's get breakfast for dinner. Perkins it is. I've been going to Perkins for many years. I have enjoyed quite a few meals here. Normally I get the breakfast, which is always delicious, but I have also tried their dinner menu a couple times. The pancakes are great, and their maple syrup is served warm, which is nice. You can also add a slice of pie and a drink to almost any meal for just $3.99. That's an incredible deal (the apple is amazing). This location has very friendly employees. They are very attentive and patient. It is also very clean, which is good. You can tell it's a little older, but it has been maintained nicely. I used to visit this location frequently, however I've moved out of the area, so not as much now. However, I still try to visit if I'm in the area.

The boyfriend and I visited because I got a free voucher for my birthday :). We are usual fans of Perkins, but this visit was not one of my better ones. In my opinion, the food came way to quick. It was literally less than 10 mins from the time we placed our order to the time we got our food. Which lead to my tater tots being cold and greasy. They replaced them, when they did, they were hot but super greasy. Our server was great and on top of things. I know I will go back, but hopefully they quality will improve.

We are from Wisconsin so it is nice to see a restaurant like we have back at home! The only difference is that this Perkins isn't open 24 hours! But never the less we love the food!

Disappointing. Sat at a wet table. The greeter didn't care, but the server was nice. The food was sad. Bland, unsalted fries, overly greasy chicken tenders. My guest ordered eggs Benedict. No Canadian bacon, just a chunk of ham. At least the Belgian waffle my other guest got was good. Will not be back.

I've had good experiences at Perkins, and I've had "Meh... I've had better" experiences. This was certainly one of those. I received an eggs Benedict with hash browns and a side of fruit. It's just too institutional. Call me old fashioned, but one of the most simple meals in the world and it can be made way less than what it should be with some synthetic tasting butter/fat substitute they use to cook their hash browns & eggs in. The fruit was green and hard. Then to round out the experience - It's $10.85 for meal only - water. And you can't not tip a pregnant waitress who was actually exemplary at her job. So, $15 for breakfast? Seriously? I honestly believe Waffle House has a better tasting breakfast than Perkins 9 times out of 10. And will be $7 less. Maybe if you want pie/pastry & coffee... this would be a better rating. But that wasn't my fare this trip.

The food was great as usual. The waitress (Vivian) wasn't as great! They have a wide variety of food and pies. The kitchen is fast at preparing and having the food out quickly. I just suggest that you ask not to sit in this server's area.

It was clean, great service, friendly staff, good food. The breakfast potatoes are fantastic, and they have a pretty good cup of coffee. Kids meals are well balanced, and affordable.

Always have a good experience at this Perkins. We normally come for breakfast and the food is out in a timely manner. For a calorie counter like myself its a great place. They cater to your ask even if not on the menu. I normally get a egg white omelette with turkey. Tastes great, high protein low calories. Its about 160 calories for the omelette. Great customer service and family friendly environment.

Good service, very good breakfast. Good prices. Clean and friendly. Ask for Mary, number 33, She will make you feel like family. A hundred times nicer than any Ihop or Denny's. I will recommend and will return again!

The Perkins restaurants in my area have all closed... when i need to be in the University area i always plan to stop at Perkins! We had a late breakfast today & it was great! The "everything omelette" was perfect! The vegetables were cooked (i hate raw veggies in my omelette) and the pancakes were wonderful! Our server, Joy, was THE BEST!

Honestly, i was quite upset. The food was average and the staff was meh. The other Perkins on University that they closed down was so much better. Our waitress here had a very condescending tone and i asked for no cheese on my biscuit but yet, when brought out had cheese. My mom likes her hash browns well done and when brought to her, they were soggy and disgusting. She sent them back to which they just threw them back on the griddle which is blegh. Not one of Perkin's better efforts.

When I lived in Pittsburgh my favorite go to restaurant was Eat n Park especially for breakfast or lunch or just 24/7. The closest match away from the burgh' is Perkins Restaurants. When traveling I'll look for Perkins along the interstates because of their consistency and quality. When leaving this Perkins, don't pull on the door handles, the doors push out. :)
Let's not get too excited over Perkins. Waitress was nice, had a good sense of humor and was attentive. Food was good, no complaints there either. Nice quite place for breakfast... mostly noticed a lot of retired folks here eating.

I am a sucker for Sunday Family Breakfasts at good ol Perkins....but I went for a work lunch meeting, because I was craving sunny side up eggs with toast and breakfast potatoes. However On a Tuesday , they seemed short staffed , and they gave me a sense of "shortness" in their hospitality skills aswell. The food was excellent after a long 25 minutes Wait , I could of probably whipped a quicker breakfast myself. The hostess towards the end, smiled more and was a bit more gracious. For three people the bill was only 22 dollars. Not bad. I do love their Apple -Cinnamon muffins, grilled, cut in half with butter. It is worth every bite. I think I caught Perkins on an off day, but usually it has better service. The place does smell a bit "stale", and it could possibly be the mops they use? Either way I will try them again JUST for Sundays (maybe they prepare for those busier times better), any other day seems off. I have never tried the lunch and dinner portion, but two thumbs for the breakfast combos :)

This particular Perkins location is super clean, has a friendly staff, and looks as though it was recently constructed therefore, it has nice landscaping and newer tables and booths! The food is quite good albeit of the greasy spoon kind, but it is executed well. Also, on Sunday mornings this particular location gives samples of their baked goods, coffee, and punch while you wait. Also, I have noticed that this location has a private room that you can reserve for parties or meetings. I have seen two business meetings in there already, and what seemed to be a church social group...not a bad place to do some work and have some yummy breakfast!

This Perkins location gave me quite some relief after experiencing horribly slow service at Dennys near Semoran and Colonial. The employees are super friendly, the service is fast and the food is delicious. A little more pricey than Dennys but well worth it.

After for waiting for about 20 minutes, we finally had a waitress come over and ask us our drink requests and we also put in our order to avoid having to wait even longer. It then took about another 10 minutes to simply get our drinks. The restaurant was busy but it was not packed to the full capacity. Therefore, there should have been a sufficient amount of staff to prepare for the holiday. Once we got our food, the waitress did not check back with us and we did not get 1 refill. I then had the general manager, Mike Noyce attend to our table and I told him that we had yet to have one refill on our drinks and there was no apology. After being fed up with the whole experience, I asked him if there was a place on the receipt that would allow me to leave a review, and he replied with a "Unfortunately, yes there is. I hope you guys have a better afternoon." Mike then walked away and started gossiping about our conversation to the waitress that was cleaning the table next to us. I am very disappointed with the customer service, especially coming from this so-called general manager. It is apparent that with an attitude like his, there is no way to have a staff that is willing to provide exemplary service to all guests. Mike is a terrible example of how a manager should conduct himself in front of customers who are simply looking for a nice experience.

This is quite possibly the best place to relax and enjoy breakfast in all of Orlando! The staff is amazing, the food is almost always perfectly cooked (what restaurant doesn't have it's off days?) If you want great service, great food, and a well lit environment to kick back: Perkins is the place for you. I also highly recommend the coffee; they bring the entire pot and leave it at your table (no waiting, like at some other places....) and their muffins are 'mammoth' and absolutely delicious.

Average food, as you'd expect from a Perkins. Definitely no surprises there. My future in-laws wanted to go to Perkins on their way out of town, so we ended up here after realizing that the 436/Curry Ford location had gone out of business. The wait for a table was 15 minutes, but we were seated in less than 10. Then it was about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table for drink orders. Since we already had decided on our food, we ordered everything at once. Our waitress was a little... off. When my fiancée's sister ordered a raspberry iced tea, the waitress looked at her, smiled, and said "Good night." It threw me off a bit. Being next to order, I was momentarily speechless as my brain apparently tried to shut down all other functions to devote all its energy to processing that response. I recovered quickly and told her what I wanted. After all orders were taken, she looked up at all of us, smiled, and said "Good night!" and left. It was 11:45 in the morning. Her next visit to the table was to bring the food. She saw that I was nearing the end of my drink and said she'd bring another one for me. Some time later, when I'm probably a few french fries from being done with my meal, she comes back to check on us again. "Aha! Your drink!" she says with a smile accompanied by a not-really-applicable-in-this-situation "over my head" motion with her hand. She says she'll be right back. Later she comes back to bring us the check, and realizes that she still hasn't filled my initial drink. She asks me if I want one to go, and I decline. But I wasn't angry, because how could I be? It was pretty funny. And there was a guy wandering around to all the tables asking the customers if they wanted him to make any balloon animals for them. He had something from Valencia college hanging from his balloon-belt, prompting jokes in private that maybe they had opened a new clown school at Valencia and he was satisfying his clown residency requirements at Perkins making balloon animals for the 65+ crowd. Oh, and someone was selling used books on a table next to the hostess podium by the front door. What?!
