I don't have an issue with the food, but be careful...they charged my card twice for 2 different amounts. When I called they said to come back in and they would void the second transaction for me. From the way they said it, it makes you think it's something that happens often. So, caution. Second issue it's not like its convenient to go back..luckily my dr office is by there and I have to go back. Pay with cash.

This Chinese place is very convenient for me AND it's good! Double win! Big menu, lots of options for vegetarian, pescatarian, and carnivores. Plus, they have the best homemade mustard ever. I will agree that the ambiance could use some work, but that doesn't bother me because I only get take-out. I've never seen it crowded, so if you want to go eat there I'm sure you would get speedy and attentive service.

I ordered fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was mediocre and the shrimp fried rice was literally the nastiest that I have ever had. I literally couldn't bring myself to eat this rice even though I paid almost 6 dollars for it. I am extremely disappointed and I will NEVER return. I wish I could give zero stars for the taste of this food. What a waste of money!

I had the chicken lo mein with egg rolls and a cup of wonton soup. The chicken lo mein was delicious-full of flavor!! I'd definitely recommend it. I'm a big egg roll fan and these egg rolls let me down. They were bland and only had lettuce in them. The won ton soup broth was delicious and flavorful. The wontons were mostly lots a noodle and very tiny chunks of meat. Overall, I enjoyed it

We're new to the area (coming from Baltimore) & have been looking for a chinese restaurant that we could frequent. My husband & I love chinese food & after trying out a few places we have found a restaurant we really like. The staff at Jum Bo is very friendly, service excellent & the food was very good. We were a party of 6, which included 2 young children. We thought the prices were very reasonable. We definitely will be back.

The decor needs some work sure, but for a good lunch with friendly and fast service this is a great spot. They are really good at remembering your order (especially if you always get the same thing for lunch like I do!). Staff are very nice and the place is clean. I've spotted the kitchen a few times and it looks pretty clean too but that was through a door while I was walking back to the table after washing my hands. I've seen a lot of people picking up call ins so I think they probably do a good business there too.

The food was bland and really lacked freshness. This place is in need of a serious facelift. The owners should be ashamed of themselves to have carpeting that is that filthy. It looks like the carpeting is the original carpeting that has been there since they opened . If their interior is that dirty I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like.

Mixed reviews for Jumbo. My dish was great...shrimp with chinese veggies. Lots of veggies, not too much sauce, and huge shrimp. My boyfriend's General Tsao's Chicken was not so great. Lots of breading and that sauce was just TOO heavy and TOO much. I have been here a couple of times and their food is consistently ok. So, I would say...come here if you just need something quick.

I enjoy the food here very much. The service and ownership are good and they seem to always use fresh ingredients. Definitely a big plus in my book.

This place is OK. Fine for typical Chinese, but i wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, it just happens to be the closest one to our house. Stepping inside will take you back to 1980s with teal accents and a pink ceiling. We've eaten here a few times and the service is always friendly. Though I'm not sure why it always takes so long to get our check. As far as food, we've stuck with the standards of sweet and sour chicken, lo mien, and Singapore noodles. All acceptable, albeit I agree with the other reviewer that the lo mien was lacking veggies. However, my 7 year old son thought this was great. I was also sorely disappointed that they used canned mushrooms (in both noodle dishes). Serving sizes (at dinner) are quite large and can easily serve two people. For take out I prefer the Asian Kitchen which is on lakemount/Howell branch-about another 5 min drive for us, but they really don't have dine in seating, so I'll probably go back to Jumbo, when we want to dine in.

Food was ok. I left my sweater on the booth. Realized after I left. Called to c if I could pick it up and they said it wasn't there? Just odd since no one was in the restaurant except me n my husband. A hour before closing n now my sweater is not there?? I wouldn't of had to take the sweater off if it wasn't so hot in the restaurant.

My boyfriend and I decided that we wanted some Chinese takeout one night, and since Jumbo is near my house, we both decided to give it a try. He ordered sweet and sour pork, while I ordered sesame shrimp (I asked for medium spiciness). The food was ready pretty quickly. The inside of the place looked nice, and I was really excited to get the food home. My boyfriend ended up liking his. It was pretty standard take-out sweet and sour--small bits of pork with tons of breading and a bright red-orange sauce served on the side. He said it was okay, nothing great, but he enjoyed it. Mine, on the other hand, was absolutely awful. It had literally no flavor, even though it was covered in a brown sauce. I could only taste the shrimp. It was the weirdest thing ever, and it was inedible. What happened to the medium spice level? There was NO spice and NO flavor. We ended up going to get frozen yogurt so I could eat something. I will not be returning to Jumbo, ever again.

My wife and in-laws have been keeping this place in business for 20+ years. It's their number one place for Chinese takeout. We normally just call in an order for pick up but we recently ate here and it was amazing. The service is great and the food comes out fast. All the dishes are great. You can't go wrong. We've had just about everything on the menu. They know the in-laws and they are always super nice to us. I would put Jumbo in the top three on my all time Chinese food list. They don't do a lot of advertising so a lot of people have never heard of them. If you live anywhere in the Winter Park area, you need to try them for take out and if you live anywhere in the Orlando area, it's worth driving over one night when you are craving Chinese. Awesome place!

Just got take-out from Jum-Bo. I ordered vegetable lo mein. The flavor of the lo mein was nice, but the dish literally had 4 snow pea pods and two pieces of scallion as the vegetable. That's it. No mushroom, broccoli, cabbage, carrot, ANYTHING. 4 pea pods! They should pay more attention to detail. Not worth $11. On a good note, the other eaters in my group were very happy with their dishes.

Excellent food. Clean dining room. Fresh and high quality ingredients. Love the Sesame Chicken w fresh broccoli. And they stir fry their fried rice for you, so you can order 'light on the oil'.

Jum-Bo is a terrific neighborhood restaurant. We visit the plaza often and finally decided to try it. I wish we had much sooner, it was so good. My husband likes to test a Chinese restaurant by how good their sweet and sour chicken is, he was blown away by the freshness of the chicken and the overall taste. The service was attentive, prices are reasonable for the large portions, and location is nice. The decor could be upgraded but it's not unpleasant by any means.

This place is really odd. Jum-Bo has been in Winter Park since I was a little kid, and yet each time I've been there has NEVER been another party dining there aside from us. I assume most of the business is done via takeout, but eating here is almost awkward in a way since the restaurant is almost silent aside from chewing at the table and the screams of Chinese and the crashing sounds of hot steam coming from the kitchen. The food is standard Chinese. Good but nothing that would call for dragon parades and fireworks.

Jumbo's is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Winter Park. Never could find another wonton soup that is so tasty! All of the dishes are generic Chinese food dishes, so don't expect anything fancy/exciting. I've been going to jumbo's for years and have always been satisfied! Usually it isn't busy at all - especially around lunchtime.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
