Have been here several times, and it's always good. Lesson learned tonight, get there early; ribs were all gone, as well as corn bread and the famous pie. Had the 1/4 chicken and it was great. Good sauces, great sides! Try the corn casserole. Tried the Hunters Stew, not so impressed with that...needs more veggies like Lima beans and potatoes. Overall, good food. Going to open another location closer to town in about two weeks.

We were at Legoland for the day, down from Orlando theme parks. I was sick of theme park food and prices so I yelped nearby restaurants. Hog Heaven came up, being from Kansas City and loving BBQ we gave it a try. Oh my goodness... So good!! So so good. I had the sandwich which is a mixture of chopped pork and sausage. Holy smokes, the best BBQ sandwich EVER! It's genius. Plus they offer 5 different sauces. I loved them all. It was fun trying each one. The kids got a chopped pork sandwich from the kids meal, and it was a good price with good portions. Plus, it beats the price at Legoland. My hubby got a combo platter, and it was gone in seconds. The sides were even delish!! Kansas City can learn a thing or two from that pork and sausage sandwich... It was THAT good!! They are going to out grow their space soon. GO!!

I wanted to try something new and came to Yelp and seen the reviews for this rest. And thought I'll give it try. It not having a menu on here,I figured I would cal in and someone would help me with the best deal on the items I wanted. I order BBQ chicken, baked beans (which a review on here said it was best in town), corn casserole and pecan pie. Major disappointment, my boyfriend came back and said hope that high food was worth it. I'm thinking it should be no more than like 12 dollars, he quickly said it was 16 dollars. I was in shock! I open my plate and it did not look like a $16 dollar plate. The chicken was under cook for my tasting, the baked beans taste like something you could of gotten from a can. Corn casserole was ok, honestly and the pie it was so so.

These are baked ribs with good sauce. Some people like it but nothing like old school smoked. The sides were good. The workers and management asked us about 5 times if we liked the ribs, OK but not my thing. Next!

Certainly not cafeteria barbecue. It's a quaint little barbecue restaurant, that is very warm and welcoming on first arrival! The staff and owner were incredibly friendly, creating a wonderful family environment! It's got the checkered red table cloths and everything! Now onto the food. The food was certainly average. All they had available was pork in terms of meat. It was pretty good, lacked a little flavor and by the time we received it, it was barely lukewarm. The collard greens were very good in taste, slightly soupy I'm texture. The barbecue beans left you desiring something a little less sweet. Too much syrup or sugar. The cornbread was out of this world! Maybe earlier during the day the meal would have been slightly more satisfying, but for a seven o' clock dinner, it certainly left something to be desired. If you're looking to escape the droll of Sonny's or Woody's then go ahead and check this place out!

Ok, after reading the reviews we decided to give this a shot, and it was awesome! Very simple, walk up, order and sit down. Someone will bring a piece of heaven to your table! There are rules, they do not precook their food, so they do sell out. Must haves: ribs, mustard slaw, that Johnny hot sauce and the apple cobbler.

I have snowbird family members who have a condo in Winter Haven. Every few months I make the drive from Orlando to check on their property and make sure everything is safe. Being from Orlando, Winter Haven can seem a bit boring, so I try to liven up the trip by trying a new restaurant each visit. After reading some good reviews about Hog Heaven Smokehouse, my guest and I decided to try their chopped pork sandwiches. We both agreed they were subpar; I gave their barbeque sauces a shot and found their flavor offputting and the consistency incredibly watery. My guest disliked her baked beans and my coleslaw was decent. Maybe we needed to give their wings or ribs a shot instead? Either way, I doubt we will be back.

Looking for somewhere close to eat last night, and after looking at other reviews, we knew we had to try it. I'm kind of a snob when it comes to bbq, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's a small location in a strip area called High Pointe, right near Legoland. Very small place, but I think they're trying to move/open another location. I got the ribs. They were very tender and slid right off the bone. The corn casserole, beans and cheesy potato sides were all very good. They have an extensive sauce choices as well, but none of them blew me away, hence the reason for -1 star. None of them were bad, most of them just had a similar taste. Got the buttermilk pecan pie. Never had it made with buttermilk, but it gave the filing a richer flavor. Servive was very good, although i was nervous after reading other reviews. Yes, they do have young adults working there, but no one was rude or obnoxious. They have different specials depending on the day. I know Fri/Sat is brisket, not sure about the others. Will definately be back to try the other choices here.

This place is pretty good. They have different meats on different days which isn't posted online so you have to call. On Friday and Saturday they have brisket which is really good, a little fatty. Not as good as 4 Rivers but close. There's ribs are better but a little inconsistent on the seasoning. The pork and sausage sandwich is good but better when you add the beans and/or slaw. There sauces are not so great, a little bland, too much vinegar?, corn starch? The different types are really similar in taste. The banana pudding for dessert is good. I'm a big fan on pecan pie but didn't care for there buttermilk version.

One of the best BBQ joints in central FL! Meat is always on point, vegetable sides are always delicious, my favorites are the zipper peas and cheesy potatoes. Make sure to try the Brunswick stew with a side of cornbread.

I am so happy I yelped for BBQ by Legoland. We have found a golden nugget. It really is. Don't think twice about it. Get the Ribs if nothing else. Oh and the cheesy potatoes/casserole. So good! The bbq was excellent. My only complaint was the managers wife was having a very loud conversation right next to us and it was a distraction for myself to enjoy some southern bbq with my husband.

This is located in a strip mall containing about six tables. My family came after a day at Legoland. My husband ordered the sausage plate and I ordered the pork plate with coleslaw and beans. The kids split a chicken meal that came with one side, in this case cornbread. Negatives: the girl working the counter (heavy eye makeup), was not friendly and especially not helpful. She left a bad impression on us. Positives: the cornbread was wonderful, the pork was good, and the sausage was nice. The owner came out and chatted with us afterwards.

Top quality barbeque! We tried a bit of everything - ribs, wings, chicken, pulled pork - even the sides were terrific. You know it's good when the meat doesn't come doused in sauce. They have homemade sauces to choose on the table and the extra spicy tucked away behind the counter. But honestly, it doesn't need much - this is the real deal! Appreciate that they have some kids plates though we just ordered a couple adult meals and shared. Cobbler was delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only suggestion is to turn the TVs off unless it's a big game. It takes away from family/ table conversation.

Were in the area visiting someone, and searched online for restaurants when we were leaving. This place was close to where we were and thought we would give it a try. What a delightful surprise. We decided on chicken and asked about sides they recommended. They cheerfully offered us samples of several choices. We decided on the Mac and cheese and the corn casserole. We then asked them about the sauces, and again we were able to sample them all. We took the food to go, and tried some chicken without the sauce. It comes with rub on it, and that was excellent even before we added the sauce. My wife raved about the corn bread casserole. Great food and service. We highly recommend it.

I really dont enjoy BBQ at all. Took my boyfriend here because he enjoys BBQ and found out they let you choose if you want sauce on your meat. I really like the dry rub they put on their meat and the Macaroni and Cheese is soooooo good. Try there banana pudding it's to die for! Happy this place is getting a bigger location. They deserve it.

Loved this place!. I had "The Hog" which is a mix of chopped pork and smoked sausage. This sandwich was delicious. I also had the bacon potato salad...oh my goodness...so flavorful without being overwhelmed with too many seasonings. The bread on each of our sandwiches was soft and so fresh. There were multiple sauce flavors which made our whole group happy. If you're anywhere near this place you MUST try it out...don't forget the cornbread! Next visit I'm getting the ribs!

Wow what a great find! Thanks yelp folks for the great reviews. Excellent food..quick service...at a great price. We left full and satisfied. I recommend the pork and sausage sandwich with slaw on top. The homemade sauces were an added surprise. My favorite was the sweet and sassy. Any time we are at Legoland we will be back! Less than 5 minutes from the park. Family of 4 ate for $36 including tip...super food, reasonable price...wish we had one back home.

Coming from the mid-west, I know BBQ. This restaurant is top notch! The food was wonderful! We even brought a small group, though I would not suggest that. Right now, the restaurant eat in area is small with very limited tables. The food is awesome and we will definitely be returning again and again. My husband says the Boss Hod was outstanding!

Its a small place, and as good as the BBQ here is, I'm surprised I never seem to have much trouble find a place to sit! Food is, well there's only one word that will do here, its outstanding. I think my favorite right now (It changes as everything is so good) may be the Boss Hog sandwich. Pulled pork, chopped sausage and slaw on a bun. Oh, its good! The sauces are great. Each one a little different to fit any mood or taste. Tiny place in a strip mall does nothing to let you know what a find it really is! I will continue to go back, and back, and back...

I'm not a huge meat eater, with that being said I normally order their chopped pork sandwich and it's stuffed full of meat with a soft and delicious bun it has yet to disappoint me. Honestly, I would come here for just their fresh sides and desserts if that were the only thing on the menu, namely the Corn Casserole and the Buttermilk Pecan Pie. Yes, they are that GOOD! I've eaten here a number of times and wouldn't go anywhere else when I've got a hankering for BBQ. I'm a southern gal, born and raised on sweet tea, corn bread, and fresh vegetables so this place is right up my alley, it's a refreshing change to most of the restaurants around town. Nothing from a can, box, or freezer and you can taste it. The price is fair for the quality of food your getting, you'd spend the same amount if not more at a chain restaurant (where who knows what your getting). The owners and staff are friendly and hospitable, I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience here. Plus, for me, it feels good to support a local establishment who's doing it right and keeping it real.

AMAZING food- best ribs we have found anywhere! Extremely friendly staff- suggestions: arrive several hours before closing as they prepare only enough food to meet projected sales for the day. Must try-- ribs, hog bites, veggie of the day ("real" vegetables prepared in Southern tradition). This is the only true "home-cooked" food place we have found. We just happened up on this place and glad we did!! My first visit I had the ribs and they were great!! That being said, BBQ isn't just about the meat, it's also about the sauce. They have five or more sauces ranging from sweet, sweet and spicy to hot, all of which were really good!! Our second visit we ordered a family feast with chicken, chicken wings, sausage and shredded pork and all very good!! The staff and owners are all very friendly!! Food is cooked fresh daily!! Finally Winter Haven has a BBQ restaurant that truly has that backyard BBQ taste!!

For dessert we had Blackberry Cobbler. It does not get any better than this! Are you hungry yet? Ummm wow! The only thing that would've made our visit to HHSH better would've been enough time in our trip to visit again! Wow, wow, wow! My family and I were in town for my Mom's 80th birthday and out running errands. We were hungry, jumped on Yelp and HHSH came up. We walked in and immediately felt at home! Jack and Randy were engaging, welcoming and seemed genuinely glad we were there. We ordered ribs, chicken wings and the pulled pork as our meats. We ordered the Mustard Slaw, collards, mac 'n' cheese as our sides and were given samples of field peas (omg delish!!) and potato salad to try! I can't explain how delicious it all was and will certainly be back on every visit to Winter Haven!! Oh my goodness...how could I forget THE PEACH COBBLER?! I absolutely LOVE Hog Heaven! I don't really care for BBQ that much, but this restaurant knocked me off me feet. The wings are heavenly - they have the most delicious rub on them, and they fall right off the bone. The pulled pork is juicy and has a great flavor. And the cheesy potatoes are to die for! Seriously, they're unreal. For dessert, don't miss out on trying the peach cobbler. Randy and Jack are so friendly, and you can tell they put love into the food. This place is a treasure for sure! Best bbq in Winter Haven. The wings and ribs are great. I highly recommend the brunswick stew. I stumbled upon this place by chance and now go as often as possible. It's small inside but the size combined with the great personalities of the owners give it a family sort of feel. If you don't get the sweet tea you're going to miss out on a true Southern delight. The best part- they don't slop everything with sauce. They use rubs and each table has a selection of sauces to choose from. Don't let the strip mall location fool you. This is top rate bbq.

These are baked ribs with good sauce. Some people like it but nothing like old school smoked. The sides were good. The workers and management asked us about 5 times if we liked the ribs, OK but not my thing. Next!

Certainly not cafeteria barbecue. It's a quaint little barbecue restaurant, that is very warm and welcoming on first arrival! The staff and owner were incredibly friendly, creating a wonderful family environment! It's got the checkered red table cloths and everything! Now onto the food. The food was certainly average. All they had available was pork in terms of meat. It was pretty good, lacked a little flavor and by the time we received it, it was barely lukewarm. The collard greens were very good in taste, slightly soupy I'm texture. The barbecue beans left you desiring something a little less sweet. Too much syrup or sugar. The cornbread was out of this world! Maybe earlier during the day the meal would have been slightly more satisfying, but for a seven o' clock dinner, it certainly left something to be desired. If you're looking to escape the droll of Sonny's or Woody's then go ahead and check this place out!

Its a small place, and as good as the BBQ here is, I'm surprised I never seem to have much trouble find a place to sit! Food is, well there's only one word that will do here, its outstanding. I think my favorite right now (It changes as everything is so good) may be the Boss Hog sandwich. Pulled pork, chopped sausage and slaw on a bun. Oh, its good! The sauces are great. Each one a little different to fit any mood or taste. Tiny place in a strip mall does nothing to let you know what a find it really is! I will continue to go back, and back, and back...

Great place to go after a day at Legoland. Ribs were awesome, and the original sauce is delicious. Owner was a really nice guy, and even offered my son an extra rib for free if he wanted more to eat.

I'm not a huge meat eater, with that being said I normally order their chopped pork sandwich and it's stuffed full of meat with a soft and delicious bun it has yet to disappoint me. Honestly, I would come here for just their fresh sides and desserts if that were the only thing on the menu, namely the Corn Casserole and the Buttermilk Pecan Pie. Yes, they are that GOOD! I've eaten here a number of times and wouldn't go anywhere else when I've got a hankering for BBQ. I'm a southern gal, born and raised on sweet tea, corn bread, and fresh vegetables so this place is right up my alley, it's a refreshing change to most of the restaurants around town. Nothing from a can, box, or freezer and you can taste it. The price is fair for the quality of food your getting, you'd spend the same amount if not more at a chain restaurant (where who knows what your getting). The owners and staff are friendly and hospitable, I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience here. Plus, for me, it feels good to support a local establishment who's doing it right and keeping it real.

AMAZING food- best ribs we have found anywhere! Extremely friendly staff- suggestions: arrive several hours before closing as they prepare only enough food to meet projected sales for the day. Must try-- ribs, hog bites, veggie of the day ("real" vegetables prepared in Southern tradition). This is the only true "home-cooked" food place we have found. If you are in the mood for comfort food- head to Hog Heaven!

We just happened up on this place and glad we did!! My first visit I had the ribs and they were great!! That being said, BBQ isn't just about the meat, it's also about the sauce. They have five or more sauces ranging from sweet, sweet and spicy to hot, all of which were really good!! Our second visit we ordered a family feast with chicken, chicken wings, sausage and shredded pork and all very good!! The staff and owners are all very friendly!! Food is cooked fresh daily!! Finally Winter Haven has a BBQ restaurant that truly has that backyard BBQ taste!!

Ok, after reading the reviews we decided to give this a shot, and it was awesome! Very simple, walk up, order and sit down. Someone will bring a piece of heaven to your table! There are rules, they do not precook their food, so they do sell out. Must haves: ribs, mustard slaw, that Johnny hot sauce and the apple cobbler.

I have snowbird family members who have a condo in Winter Haven. Every few months I make the drive from Orlando to check on their property and make sure everything is safe. Being from Orlando, Winter Haven can seem a bit boring, so I try to liven up the trip by trying a new restaurant each visit. After reading some good reviews about Hog Heaven Smokehouse, my guest and I decided to try their chopped pork sandwiches. We both agreed they were subpar; I gave their barbeque sauces a shot and found their flavor offputting and the consistency incredibly watery. My guest disliked her baked beans and my coleslaw was decent. Maybe we needed to give their wings or ribs a shot instead? Either way, I doubt we will be back.

Looking for somewhere close to eat last night, and after looking at other reviews, we knew we had to try it. I'm kind of a snob when it comes to bbq, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's a small location in a strip area called High Pointe, right near Legoland. Very small place, but I think they're trying to move/open another location. I got the ribs. They were very tender and slid right off the bone. The corn casserole, beans and cheesy potato sides were all very good. They have an extensive sauce choices as well, but none of them blew me away, hence the reason for -1 star. None of them were bad, most of them just had a similar taste. Got the buttermilk pecan pie. Never had it made with buttermilk, but it gave the filing a richer flavor. Servive was very good, although i was nervous after reading other reviews. Yes, they do have young adults working there, but no one was rude or obnoxious. They have different specials depending on the day. I know Fri/Sat is brisket, not sure about the others. Will definately be back to try the other choices here.

This place is pretty good. They have different meats on different days which isn't posted online so you have to call. On Friday and Saturday they have brisket which is really good, a little fatty. Not as good as 4 Rivers but close. There's ribs are better but a little inconsistent on the seasoning. The pork and sausage sandwich is good but better when you add the beans and/or slaw. There sauces are not so great, a little bland, too much vinegar?, corn starch? The different types are really similar in taste. The banana pudding for dessert is good. I'm a big fan on pecan pie but didn't care for there buttermilk version.

Coming from the mid-west, I know BBQ. This restaurant is top notch! The food was wonderful! We even brought a small group, though I would not suggest that. Right now, the restaurant eat in area is small with very limited tables. The food is awesome and we will definitely be returning again and again. My husband says the Boss Hod was outstanding!

Absolutely the best BBQ in the area. They make everything fresh every day. They have several homemade BBQ sauces at the table. Don't skip the smoked sausage or chopped pork. Nothing disappoints!

Excellent meal! We were looking for a place to meet in Winter Haven, and wantecMd some place new. We were so not disappointed! The sandwiches were great, as were the cheesy potatoes, the bacon-potato salad, and the cornbread. Service was quick, and the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. A little taste of Heaven!!! We ordered a platter with wings, ribs, chopped pork, cheesy potatoes, greens and Cole slaw, enough for 10 people. The meats were cooked to perfection. They cook everything fresh daily and you can taste the difference. Thanks Randy and Jack for a fantastic meal.

Finally a place in Winter Haven to eat excellent BBQ. We tried the wings-super yummy! The ribs were so tender and had a great flavor! The chicken breast was cooked perfectly. For dessert we had Blackberry Cobbler. It does not get any better than this! Are you hungry yet? They make everything fresh, so if there is a particular item you are craving, you may want to call ahead first to make sure they still have it.

Ummm wow! The only thing that would've made our visit to HHSH better would've been enough time in our trip to visit again! Wow, wow, wow! My family and I were in town for my Mom's 80th birthday and out running errands. We were hungry, jumped on Yelp and HHSH came up. We walked in and immediately felt at home! Jack and Randy were engaging, welcoming and seemed genuinely glad we were there. We ordered ribs, chicken wings and the pulled pork as our meats. We ordered the Mustard Slaw, collards, mac 'n' cheese as our sides and were given samples of field peas (omg delish!!) and potato salad to try! I can't explain how delicious it all was and will certainly be back on every visit to Winter Haven!! Oh my goodness...how could I forget THE PEACH COBBLER?! Both my husband and I said it was some of the best we've ever had and we love cobbler! Thanks Jack and Randy! See you (not) soon (enough;)!! ps. one small thing we would add is a little spicier bbq sauce...we like hot so it's our preference...not a deal breaker, but something to consider.

I absolutely LOVE Hog Heaven! I don't really care for BBQ that much, but this restaurant knocked me off me feet. The wings are heavenly - they have the most delicious rub on them, and they fall right off the bone. The pulled pork is juicy and has a great flavor. And the cheesy potatoes are to die for! Seriously, they're unreal. For dessert, don't miss out on trying the peach cobbler. Randy and Jack are so friendly, and you can tell they put love into the food. This place is a treasure for sure! If you're ever in the Winter Haven area, don't miss out on some awesome BBQ, a great atmosphere, and an overall wonderful experience.

Best bbq in Winter Haven. The wings and ribs are great. I highly recommend the brunswick stew. I stumbled upon this place by chance and now go as often as possible. It's small inside but the size combined with the great personalities of the owners give it a family sort of feel. If you don't get the sweet tea you're going to miss out on a true Southern delight. The best part- they don't slop everything with sauce. They use rubs and each table has a selection of sauces to choose from. Don't let the strip mall location fool you. This is top rate bbq.

I highly recommend this place. My entire family went there after a long day at LEGOLAND. The beef brisket and baked beans were so good! Ribs fell off the bone! Hidden gem amongst the hustle and bustle near Legoland. The best BBQ in the south! Beats the food chains of Smokey Bones and Country's BBQ. The best thing about This place is that it's a Christian family owned business. God is good! Ain't nothing better than having BBQ with Jesus!
