Great hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Great discounts and coupon available. They updated the inside and their menu is huge. I wish the menu was smaller so the chefs could focus more on the authentic taste of Mexican food. Quality rather than quantity. I love Aztecas and will continue to go.

This place had wonderful service. and true authentic Mexican food (not tex-mex). I ordered. the Macho Burrito with shredded chicken, rice, beans, salsa and topped with lettuce, tomato, blanco queso and pico. This dinner was easily big enough to share and.wss delicious. We'll definately come back again.

3g's margarita is Amaz-ing. I also had the Pollo Molle, with perfectly steamed vegetables and black beans. I travel a lot for work and try local spots as much as spots. Not some over-carb'd fried "wannabe" food. Delicious food, nice staff and wonderful drinks. Wonderful.

Went here yesterday for lunch. Food is served in very large portions & sizzling hot! Husband had the Macho Burrito, too big for one seating - brought the remaining back for evening snack! I had the Chile Releno........quite honestly, this is the first Mexican Restaurant I've found that serves this entree. Absolutely delicious! Also, glad to find a place which serves PEPSI product - good salsa too! Place was packed by the time we left.

Azteca is tucked into the corner of a shopping Plaza, so you have to look for it. Taco Tuesdays have become one of our "things" . Once seated, you get warm chips & salsa . (free) On Tuesdays, they offer an all you can eat taco dinner complete with rice and refried beans. It starts at 4pm, so this is not a lunch thing. You have your choice of hard or soft shell tacos, as well as beef & chicken. The tacos are LOADED with meats and cheeses as well as lettuce & tomatoes. They start you with a basket of 3, then will replenish your supply until you say stop! The place gets busy, but the servers are fast and very attentive. We never had to wait for a drink refill. The desserts look good, but I have never been able to try them! (too full!) The other dinner prices are higher than a fast food joint, but the quality and service makes the cost worth it in my opinion. (plan on around $30 for dinner for 2- dinner specials run cheaper)

Very friendly staff. The food was very good. The Blanco Burrito (not spicy at all) was absolutely delightful!! Creamy and amazing. We did not order alcoholic beverages, but the menu looked decent for that. Had our two kids with us, and happened to be staying at a hotel across the street (Holiday Inn). Very convenient!

Awful time! We were looking forward to a nice family meal...but instead got a hair in the rice and a foreign body in the cheese dip! Then once the hair was pointed out they all statted talking bad about my family in Spanish...um I understand what you were saying! I did tell the greeter to tell the manager that he shouldn't talk about the customers because they just might understand what he's saying. He also didn't even come over to check on us...just talked about us! FOOD WAS AWFUL...MANAGEMENT RUDE!

We stopped here for dinner on our way back from legoland. The service was prompt and everything was fresh. Often in a strip mall restaurant, you expect some boxed ingredients. Not here. The beans and rice both were homemade. For dinner,I had the tacos al carbon with steak. Easily it was one of the best tacos I have ever had. The sauce on the tacos was a great compliment to the skirt steak, which was tender. A friend had enchiladas el mole and the chocolate was wait discernible. My wife had the veggie fajitas with a unique combination of veggies: peppers, squash, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower with a nice seasoning. We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and service and would go back any time.

The menu is extensive but everything looked I had beef enchiladas and they were excellent my wife had shrimp and mushrooms and were Devine diner and drinks for two for $42.00 not bad

Very pleasant staff. Food was not bad, but not impressed. Had the taco carbon steak. Sauce with the beef was too sweet and lacked flavor. Yellow rice was so so. Refried beans were good. Salsa ok. Not worth the price.

Yeah! Good Mexican food in our general vicinity. And the margaritas are pretty tasty, too! Convenient for a meal before going to Theatre Winter Haven and the staff are all very friendly. Good chips and salsa and the shrimp ceviche (called something else on the menu) was fabulous--lots of shrimp and really fresh tasting. One thing that could be better was the chicken on the fajitas. Rather dry and tasted reheated. We were so full we just ate all the other fixings and brought the chicken home to the dog. Happy dog.

Went here to eat with my parents in law, there was a minor problem with our order and we requested to speak to the manager which was very arrogant and rude and walk away and basically told us"take it of leave it". We don't demand much from a Restaurant in Winter Haven, but we are definitely not coming back and won't recommend to anyone.

The food is good but that's not my complaint. It was a busy night so the owner was helping wait tables. He was preoccupied and not very friendly to begin with, but when I asked for a LITTLE more sour cream for a very dry burrito he brought back a large scoop in a bowl. When we got our bill he had added $3.95 for the additional sour cream. We used to go there at least twice a month but he got our LAST business that night when he charged us so much for extra sour cream. Hope he can keep the place open on my $3.95 because that's the last he'll see of us.

Food was excellent. Very nice staff. Very generous with chips and drink refills. I wish I lived near here to eat here more often. Loved it. Thanks also to Saul (waiter) for being so nice to my family.

2.5 rounded to 3 stars, it was just meh. We came in on a Sunday evening, wasn't very busy. Service was very good, and the restaurant seemed very clean, although it was showing it's age. 2 people at our table ordered the special, which they said was good. Another person ordered the quesidillas, which looked to be a lot of cheese and not much meat. He said they were alright. I got the taco salad with pulled meat. The best part about it was the shell. The meat was cooked well, but a little bland. Salad lacked any pizzaz, it was disappointing. The margaritas are HUGE and not that great. They advertise them as happy hour. After one I was buzzed. They were super sweet, and I don't think many people would be able to drink 2 plus eat a meal. We asked if we could share them and they said no. I understand the rule, but have done it at places like Chili's before. That wasn't the deal breaker though, it was the food. The hunt for Mexican food in WH continues.

We came here on a Sunday night, around 8 pm, after leaving LegoLand during summer break. The place was empty. Not a single table was filled. Second most noticeable thing was the smell. It was not pleasant. It didn't smell good at all. Eventually, two or three. Other tables were filled. Another patron walked in, looked around, asked for a menu, and didn't return. Chips and salsa were ok. Not great. The soda tasted bad. Like the tap water when you visit these areas. The service was alright. Our waitress was ok, but not very friendly until the end where she played with our kid, and actually smiled. The food was good. I had the quesadilla fajitas and I have no complains about it. The portions were good and the price were about the same we'd pay in Miami. My husband, however, didn't love his food. He also said, the back from his point of view looked dirty. Ugh. Unfortunately, despite the cute decor and ok food, the place didn't convince me to ever want to return. Sorry.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
