I did not expect this but I just had the best linguine frutti di mare. Sea food was fresh and the linguine just perfect . The sauce was spicy, delicate and the fresh basil was refreshing . 5 stars

My in-laws took me here and it was amazing. The food was excellent as well as the service! I had the gnocchi in a creamy cheese sauce and it was to die for. I will definitely be back!

Came here for lunch. The place maybe seats 60 people. Half of it consists of the deli with takeout coolers I orderef Pollo Sophia for $15.00 which was a Boneless Breadt with Roadted Red Pepper, Sun Dried Tomato and Spinach served with Angel Hair Pasta. Excellent. Glass of Chianti- healthy pour $5.95. Will be coming back

Lost of my money, I don't mind paying a high price for my food as long as is good. To start I ordered sparkling water and they didn't even know what i was talking about and offered me tonic water....Italian restaurant??? I ordered fettucini in the white clam sauce, $18 dollars for a tiny plate of flavored pasta swimming in oil, after a pound of salt and cheese I ate it but I didn't enjoy it, clams were not even cleaned properly, sandy...also paid $7 for a tiny glass of cheap wine, at the end ended up spending over $30 which felt as a waste of my money. On the plus side owner was nice and seemed very accommodating, but I don't think i will ever go back, it was a huge disappointment.

This place is a really good option for the family in Weston. The food, presentation and prices are very good. I had the Veal Saltimbocca and my wife had the Risotto with Salmon. I will definitely come back.

Love this place. I had the Asparagus Ravioli for the first time tonight and loved it. The Sacchetti di Pera are delicious but tend to be a bit too rich for me or my family to finish. The bistecca tre funghi, chicken Marsala, linguine vongole, and ravioli di ricotta e spinachi were all delicious. We have been here four or five times before and always have enjoyed it. The server was polite and friendly. Food was a little slow to get to the table but was well worth the wait. If you are one to clean your plate at Cheesecake Factory you might be left a bit hungry, but for us it was perfect. Apparently there's new ownership since the last time we were there but I honestly can't say I noticed any major difference.

The best pasta!!! The new owner remodeled the place and looks fantastic!!! I love the different types of filled pasta, specially the ossobuco ravioli and the sparragus with spinach dough ravioli!!! I recomend it 100%

The food is nit good at all. the people in the kitchen or the owners don't have a sense of quality. Go there if you must or have an emergency.

Not knowing the area we took a chance on this restaurant. As we walked in I felt it was a good choice. A white tablecloth, clean surroundings and a smile from the staff. We were asked which table we would like and escorted to it. Lovely fresh bread, seasoned olive oil and a glass of ice water were all served punctually. We were pleased to wait a few minutes for our lasagne as we thought it was being made fresh and it certainly tasted like it was. It was a great choice.

I gave 1 star because it exists. Sort of like getting credit for putting you name correctly on a test. Over the last 5 or six years we probably averaged 8 visits a year. About a year and a half ago we noticed things changing or more accurately, declining. First , .my favorite which was a fish dish (Grouper) changed to some other fish. Understandable as Grouper is becoming increasingly scarce. Finally it became Tilapia. This fish looks like it was made in a factory as every piece is exactly the same size and shape. Regardless I stuck with it because of how well it was prepared. Then they removed it from the menu. Slowly but surely many of their better choices disappeared. Finally the quality kept dropping. Last but not least the owners that always seemed to be around and very involved were nowhere to be found. We removed Lirio's from our rotation. Last Saturday night after about 6 months we gave it another try. From the second we entered, the feeling could best be described as depressing. 6 or 7 tables were occupied. You could hear a pin drop. We were finally seated after about 15 minutes. Once seated I realized there were no busboys. In fact 1 waiter was doing everything himself. I could see into the kitchen , where I watched the waiter throw our bread into the microwave. Naturally it was spongey and inedible. We were not going to stick around for the rest. It's pretty sad to watch a place go from pretty good to as bad as it gets. All things considered it is time to put a fork in Liro's. They are so DONE. I would bet the next time we drive by the lights will be out and the doors locked

Lirios needs to try their own food and realize their food is so salty!!! I can not believe that they have such amazing flavors and they mess all of their dishes with a pound a salt, is almost inedible!!! I needed a gallon of water the two times I went there, the first time I thought maybe it was a mistake and because their food had good seasoning I went back only to realize their seafood casuela was almost impossible to eat, is a shame.

I'm sorry, but any person who likes this place doesn't know anything about good Italian food. I feel as if the cooks have no idea about Italian food either and as a matter of fact, everybody that I have seen working there is Spanish. We have given this place multiple chances and I sincerely regret that I ever wasted my money. The place looks great to be honest, like a nice little Boston Italian joint. Half of the place looks like a little market, very authentic I have to say. I was initially excited to eat here since it is very close to where we live and it looked so promising. But then to the food, uhhhh. First the salad, canned nasty olives, canned roasted red peppers, a tiny slice of mozzarella, and a bland dressing. One time I ordered the chicken marsala and it was an epic fail on their part. It tasted like a Stouffers frozen dinner, just as bad as can be. The pasta is homemade and fresh, but both times we went I ordered the whole wheat pasta and never received it. My girl got the lasagna which tasted like frozen lasagna with very sweet sauce that you buy in the freezer section as well. Next time we gave this place a chance I ordered the chicken sophia with what I thought would be sauteed red roasted peppers and spinach. Instead I received chicken with the same canned diced roasted red peppers, and a couple random raw spinach leaves in a disgusting sauce. I was starving and couldn't even eat it. The sauce again tasted like a "frozen section" dinner, I don't even know how you could create such a generic flavor. My girl's chicken france' was equally as bland and generic and she couldn't finish it either. After a couple glasses of wine and our entrees our bill was$70+, which was very hard to swallow (like the food). It is safe to say, that we will NEVER eat here again. I rather go to Publix and get a Lean Cuisine Chicken Marsala and save my money. It will probably be better too!

It's quaint and cozy family owned; Italian food. The best deal for a lunch special in the entire state of Florida-- $9.95 for soup or salad, main entree and dessert. Sundays kids under 12 eat FREE!!! Casual dress. I have had dinners there and the lobster ravioli is great. Generous portions at a reasonable price. Plenty of choices for wine. They have prepared dinners in there freezer you can take home. We purchased our Christmas dinner there and the Lasagna was a hit. Yummy

Worst Italian sandwich I have ever had, period. $7.95 for a small baguette, wilted lettuce, 2 black olives and 3 slices of salami. This place should take a lesson from Doris Italian Market or La Spada's. I will never dine here again...

I would say this place is a hit or miss. Been there a couple times and some things are good. Shrimp pasta and pasta overall was good, bread and dipping sauce is fantastic, but maybe the worst calamari ever. Heavy breading and dripping in grease, fish was eh and boyfriend's chicken parm was eh. I have found better Italian nearby so prob won't come back.

  • Dale K.

The soup, bread, and crepe dessert are good. Skip the food. The eggplant and chicken parm are thin and heavily breaded. The meatballs are rubbery and taste odd. Service is slow. Skip this place...I sure will.

Daydreaming about eating a canoli for several days, my craving finally got the best of me leading me to search the Italian restaurants in the area. A quick look of a few online menus, I decided upon Lirio's. Not only was the handmade canoli a delightful and satisfying dessert, the Linguine Alle Vongole (six fresh Middleneck clams sautéed in red clam sauce over linguini) was simply delicious also. I have to say, this meal was probably one of the best Italian dishes I have had in a while. Besides a tasty bite, you will receive generous portions for a good price and that includes the canoli. Although I cannot say much for the ambience, since I placed my order to go, the bit I did see and how amazing the food had tasted, I will be dining in real soon.

Excellent service and food. The service was great . Good selection of Italian food. I had the lobster stuffed ravioli, new dish for me... Excellent. My husband had the lasagna which was made differently, not layered noodles, but he really liked it. We had been there on a previous vacation and enjoyed the food, so that's why we returned.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
