My wife and I ate here for the first time this week--it showed good reviews on yelp, and I love bbq, so we gave it a try. I very seldom leave bad reviews, but I eat bbq all over the country. I ordered a pulled pork platter, and the meat was simply terrible. It was not an off time (still no excuse) but this was stuff that seemed to have been sitting out a long time--bad taste, rubbery...it was just bad meat. How this could have been served when so many good reviews are on here, I don't know. The service was good--the server pleasant and efficient. Fries and beans were okay...just can't give any more than two stars--I come to a place like this for the meat.

On hold trying to order to go for lunch for a total of 10 min. i called back after being on hold the first time and was put on hold again. Now I'm eating Wendy's and hating life. I'm sure the food is good if I ever got to try it.

This is exactly the place I was looking for on a power-down from weekend kind of night. Atmosphere is lite without feeling indifferent and pleasant surprise was a nice bar where me and 3 or 4 other party-of-one dudes could enjoy our meals in a peaceful state of communal solitude. The ribs were excellent, fall off the bone succulent, not dry at all and no stupid "unique" "mango"* BBQ sauce that has no place in a man's meal. Chicken was also great as was Due South Caramel Ale. Highly recommend. *that's a mild dig at Percy's in Philly.

An unexpected gem. The BBQ was better than expected the first and second time. The portions are larger than expected, especially, for the price. And the service is pretty good. Food took about 15 mins after ordering. I walked in expecting a bland franchise and left pleased and full.

Consistently good food. Have tried the baby back ribs, beef brisket and pulled pork and all have been very good each time that I've had them. Some other good choices are the Dempublican sandwich (brisket, pork, bacon and swiss) and the Adam and Eve sandwich (rib sandwich). The best sides here are the baked beans and the mac and cheese. Monday special is the best deal here ($15 for a full rack of baby backs and 2 sides)

Great place to bring kids. Large portions, you will definitely get full. A full rack of baby back ribs was enough for my mom and I.

This place had good reviews so I thought I'd check it out. I ordered half slab of baby back ribs dry. Being from Oklahoma a good smoked ribs does not need Bbq sauce. They said the ribs are smoked before I ordered and the came out grilled. This was a joke. Tasted horrible and was pretty much lied about the smoking of the meat. Sweet Tea was alright not the best for BBQ but goes with the food quality. I guess for the Locals (Florida, NY, NJ) this is good but if you want real southern BBQ dont come here.

Love the baby bbq ribs, corn bread a bit too sweet for my taste. .. now the spicy pickles, that's a different story, couldn't get my hands off them, in fact ordered iy twice. Sweet potato fries, really good. Large portion plate, great service and good pricing. A must next time in WPB.

Everybody at my job loves this place so we try to order from here at least once or twice a week. I've never actually sat down and ate at the restaurant but the to-go service is good enough for 5 stars. The food is always ready when I get there & there has never been a mistake with our order, which is usually very large and very complicated. There is always someone to hold the door open for you and help you bring food to your car. Great food & great staff at this location!

Great BBQ food - respectful staff that's on point. If you are in West Palms Beach - you must try this place. One of a kind good southern BBQ food

For a barbecue joint outside of Texas -- where I recently lived for 4 years -- this is as good as it gets. The baby back ribs were perfectly cooked and substantial. The buffalo wings were also perfectly cooked, and with the sauce, they weren't greasy or painful. BARBECUE SAUCE SUGGESTION: get the medium-hot sauce. It still packed a punch without being overwhelming or cloyingly sweet. Like a Jewish-style deli, they place pickles on the table. These are not dill pickles but rather 'sweet and spicy,' as the waitress explained. WARNING: they start sweet, but finish spicy. Loved them! Only 4 stars rather than 5 because the front entrance is a bit confusing -- there is a side door (where you're supposed to enter) and then a center door (which is for patio seating that you're not supposed to enter). As such, the host/hostess area was nothing more than just a wide space in front of the bar, and it took 2 minutes for one of the employees to seat me and my party. ADDITIONAL PRAISE: The server Jena (pronounced JENNA) was outstanding and explained everything with patience and precision. I'll be back.

Delicious. Had a full rack of ribs, baked beans, and potato salad (a $15 special), and an iced tea. All were excellent. The ribs were some of the best I've had in a long time -really tender and had a nice smoky flavor. All the homemade sauces were full of flavor. Server was friendly and attentive. Next time I'm in this area I'll come back.

To be honest... I've never actual sat down and had a meal here. So this review is strictly based off if 1.5 items. .5 = Macaroni and Cheese (Side) . Really creamy and extra cheesy. Perfect side to this sandwich. 1 = Adam&Eve Boneless Rib sandwich. Phenomenal!! Did I mention it's topped with bacon!! Add some of the spicy BBQ sauce and sit back ..unbuckle your belt a little and just enjoy what's about to happen to your taste buds. You're Welcome in advance.

Delicious!!! The only way to describe the meal that was delivered to us by PA Barbecue for a birthday party with 20 guests . The food arrived hot and on time along with all paper goods and utensils.my guests raved about everything including the special sauces owner Jerome included in the delivery . Best barbecue in town!!!

Went back with my son yesterday. And the food and service were much better. Now I really urge the owners to watch the business. I wonder where the managers were last time? Not everyone would come back.

The ribs are great and the rest is consistently very good. I eat there 2-3 times per month and am never disappointed. The servers are friendly and the prices are very reasonable. They have a great selection of items as long as you like BBQ food. The green beans aren't great, but the rest of the sides are pretty solid.

I recently dined at Park Avenue BBQ for dinner. On Tuesday's it "All You Can Eat " Rib night. The food was much better that I expected. The cornbread was great and lemonade was tasty as well. I highly recommend this place.

This place has very good food. Anything BBQ or beef related is good, everything else is on par. Why would you go to a BBQ place and get a salad anyway?

  • Andrew B.

My wife and I have been here many times and always loved the food and staff. Today, though, they catered a lunch I had for my employees and what a great job! I ordered for 90 people and there was so much excellent chicken and ribs that all fed and people kept coming back for more. PA also provided all serving utensils, plates, plasticware, wet naps and plenty of bbq sauce. so definitely go there to eat but don't forget: if you need catering, call Jerome and you won't be sorry.

  • Pedro R.

If you want reliable predictable service, and reliable food quality go to PA. You won't be disappointed. It seems to be getting hard in Palm Beach county to get a consistent quality experience with BBQ restaurants. Just go to PA, its a safe decision.

First off, this is NOT Tom Jenkins. It's ok for Florida's bbq as Florida is not known for having great bbq spots. They serve Ribs, Cole Slaw and Collard Greens...wouldn't say it taste just like Granny's, buts it's ok. Went to the Boca Raton location for lunch. Service is par. Nothing to really say, but it's an average rib joint. I would not go back - too average.

Good barbecue. Presentation could be better. The ambiance is a bit generic and reminiscent of a BBQ place. Three sauces to choose from. Great corn fritters with powdered sugar, honey, and syrup.

  • Cassandra W.

It's mediocre at best. I don't like to leave bad reviews, so I'll start with what I did like. The sweet heat pickles you get to munch on are great. The servers are pleasant and the atmosphere is what you'd expect in a BBQ joint. I will say that I haven't tried the ribs, hubby has and he says they're pretty good. The first time we went, I had the pulled pork and did not like it at all. It tasted like crock pot pulled pork; there was no smokiness or depth of flavor to it at all. You do get a HUGE portion of it, and I was going to put it and my baked beans (which were pretty tasty) on the garlic bread and eat it as a sandwich, but that was the worst garlic bread I've ever had. How do you screw up garlic bread? Bland, stale, cold.. Ew. The next time I had a burger. It was decent, though they totally skimped on the special sauce (stupidaise, I think they call it), and I had to put fried pickles from the appy on it to make it have any flavor. Fries, super bland too. It's a shame, because this place is literally around the corner from my house, but we're really better off driving to Sonny's for BBQ.

Best BBQ place in town, the waiters are great, couldn't ask for anything more!

  • Chad B.

We found this place on accident. Glad we did. The pickles on the table were almost worth the visit alone. The ribs are very tasty and tender. The fried whole catfish was delicious. The pork sandwich was also pretty good, but the sauce on it was a little too hot. It overpowered the flavor of the pork a bit. All the sides we tried were very good: fries, potato salad, cornbread, collard greens, green beans and garlic toast. Nothing beats those pickles, though. The service was also good. Very friendly and laid-back staff. Overall, a very good experience.

Wasn't sure what to expect when we walked into PABBQ, however we walked out full, happy, and couldn't stop talking about the meal, service and atmosphere of this place. This spot is a true southern BBQ joint with massive portions, humorous decor and friendly wait staff. Imagine gallons of sweet tea, delicious meats and a variety of awesomesauce - literally. Not a great place for a romantic date, rather somewhere to go with a group or to take the boys after a ball game. Prices are extremely reasonable, and the food was superb. I would highly recommend the corn fritters and ribs. Definitely worth checking this place out. The only complaint I have is the obvious missed opportunity when naming the joint- it really should be called Pork Avenue BBQ

    (5)
  • David P.

I got the rubs and pulled pork combo and I can't remember being so full and happy. The price was close to $20 but well worth the cost. They had several sauces to choose from and I chose the spicier ones to compliment my ribs and pork. The server kept my drink full and was on top of any request. Good food and good service.

A staple of Palm Beach county. From walking into a warm greeting from the friendly staff, to dining solo, yet feeling comfortable sitting at the bar to eat your meal, the Park Avenue BBQ Grill experience always makes me happy. It is "comfort food" heaven. Their corn fritters earn the term "golden brown". A great lunch and dinner menu. For me, best BBQ ribs in the area. Tonight I enjoyed a burger, cooked as I asked (medium rare), with my favorite slaw. Even their sweet ice tea does the South proud. They have many locations, my favorite is the PB Lakes Blvd. grill in West Palm Beach. As you exit, you'll see a photo of one of PB county's favorite son, the late baseball Hall of Famer Gary Carter (in an Expo uniform) giving one of his famous Big Smiles. Another reminder of the enjoyable experience your taste buds just had... Enjoy!

The decor is very laid back and tranquil. The food was finger licking good and reasonably priced. We ordered the baby back half rack combo which comes with an additional serving of meat and 2 sides. Our party of three people ordered this type of combo each and the bill came up to 52 dollars and we had a 10 dollar off coupon. Most of all the service was great. Make sure to ask for Jason !!!! He was so sweet and engaging. I would recommend this place to others. Jason was awesome!!! They also have free WiFi and flat screen TV.

I am a huge BBQ fan. From Texas to Canada; from NY to CA; from FL to ME. I really try to squeeze in a BBQ joint wherever I go. This place is A-OK. It is right in the middle of the road. I tried ribs, chicken and brisket. The brisket and ribs were good. The chicken was ok. I really liked the sweet tea. The service was amazing. The prices are outstanding.

Lest there be any confusion, I am benevolently awarding one additional star to this establishment because of the honesty and professionalism of our server. The food at Park Avenue BBQ is one star at best. To be fair, what constitutes great "barbecue " is a very personal thing for most people. North Carolina BBQ is totally different than Texas BBQ.....and if you ask someone from Kansas City their opinion, it will vary greatly from N Carolina & Texas varieties. One common denominator for all BBQ is the "smoke" flavor. Even though the menu at Park Ave BBQ mentions that their BBQ is "smoked", there isn't a hint of smoke flavor in the BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Pulled Pork, or Beef Brisket. To add insult to injury, the meats arrived to our table lukewarm. The sides included with the dinners were "tepid", despite the fact that they are served from a steam table . We sent everything back to be warmed. The collard greens had flavor as did the coleslaw. They might have even been made in-house. However, the congealed mac and cheese tasted "institutional " , as did the baked beans. If you were laying on the beach all day dreaming of BBQ for dinner, its best that you avoid this chain of restaurants .These restaurants are not a destination for the serious BBQ enthusiast.

Went here this past summer. This place is the definition of comfort food! Ribs, chicken fingers, Mac and cheese etc .. Everything is on point.

There's a reason most of the menu is served with sauce -- if you ask for it "dry" that's what you get : very dry meat!! Good meat should need no sauce. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food served. Their specialty is ribs and you could tell everything was precooked and reheated which made everything so dry I could hardly swallow it. Don't waste your money!!

Wow, the ribs are always fabulous. Are usually eat at the barbecue on US 1 in North Palm Beach. Keep the craft beer was delicious and try this week potatoes with maple syrup! :-) It was a great Memorial Day barbecue! (I was also very glad they were even open)

Solid BBQ with Baby Back Ribs and Pulled Pork Sandwiches that we all enjoyed (even the 9 year old who demolished her pulled pork). "Hotties" are very sweet and also hot (aftertaste) pickle slices that come with the meal - and you can also buy a jar to take home (we did not). Service was attentive - kinda more like a bar atmosphere. Sorta-kinda reminds me of "Famous Dave's" but smaller and less kitschy. Very good cornbread, too. Oh - and I had an Arnold Palmer with their FRESH MADE lemonade and unsweetened tea (could have chosen sweet tea). Perfect! Next time I am getting a full rack! The meat just fell off the bone and was so tender and good.

Pulled pork and collard greens were delicious! Portions of the sides were a little on the small side but good.

Great ribs and great prices. I would highly recommend their baby backs. But their Collard greens I will not order again.

I was disappointed when Sonny's BBQ closed last year in Jupiter on Indiantown Rd. But I've found my new favorite pork palace. Fall off the bone smokey goodness. Most all the sides are excellent. I've seen rolls dropped off at the table at other establishments, but spicy pickles as a appetizer!? Yum!

Got there at 6 PM on a Saturday evening and was served warmed over chicken. When I complained, they said they would go get us fresh chicken. We should NEVER Have been served old warmed up chicken in the first place. By the time we got the chicken our sides were cold. No one offered to get us hot sides. Waiter disappeared until we were finished. This would not happen at their Hypoluxo and Congress location. It's always good, and busier. Now I know why! Won't be back to this location again!

Park Avenue BBQ Grille? More like really good food grille I'd say!!! I happened to be in the area on a Wednesday night and figured I would give this place the old college try. Let me tell you I was glad I did. When you first walk in you are greeted by someone who tells you to sit anywhere you want. I don't know about you but I absolutely love that type of freedom! It really reminds you what America is all about. Anyway, I scoped the place out and found a nice booth. The benches were comfy and definitely spacious enough to accommodate 2 sides of cole slaw if you know what I mean ;) . The waitress was very nice and quick to take our orders. I got a boneless rib sandwich with Swiss cheese and bacon. The sandwich normally includes grilled onions as well but I opted for no onions. Last time I had onions I couldn't feel my arms for a week but that's another story for another time. The sandwich was very good. One of the best I've ever had. I got a side of macaroni and cheese with it that was also real nice on the tb's (taste buds). I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. A true american establishment with a classy take on BBQ.

Had some time to kill before going to the airport and I found this place. Most reviews were good, so I had to try it. I was not disappointed. Place was empty for lunch on a Wednesday. Server was friendly. I had the boneless rib sandwich and some fried pickles (a little greasy, but a generous portion).

Pulled pork sandwhich. Meh! Yuck. Ok maybe im overexaggerating but it was not good. Not yuck quality, i DID eat it but i did so with a frown on my face. It was bland and they were not very generous when it came to BBQ sauce. the meat tasted old as though it was prepared a few days before and was just reheated and put on a dry bun. The BBQ sauce tasted like it was stolen from Brother Jimmy's and put into small containers that are always too small for what you want to use them. The bartender was very kind on the otherhand... I wont be back again. Although it seemed to be a very popular lunch place by people in the area, I dont mind driving a couple more minutes for good food.

Great and cheep BBQ!!! My friend has been going here for 6 years and forced me to try this place. I not a big BBQ fan, but they do mean ribs. The meat falls off the bone and is perfectly seasoned. They also have nice BBQ sauce that they make there at the restaurant. The side dishes need help... the mac n' cheese is "grainy", the rice taste funny, and the beans taste as if they are from the can. They have FANTASTIC fresh squeezed lemon aid... no refills... The reason I gave them a 3 is because of the service... the servers never smiled, acknowledged me or asked if I needed anything... I saw one actually sit down at a table, clean it, then get someone a drink without washing her hands... FYI, they have delivery service... take advantage...

Stopped here late on a Sunday evening on our way to Miami...maybe that was the problem. It was an hour before closing but pretty much deserted and had a weird vibe from the start. Our food did come out quick and was decent for South Fla. bbq- the ribs were cooked well, though I wouldn't say they were actually smoked, and they wouldn't have had much flavor besides the sauce. Potato salad, check, cole slaw, strange flavor. The service was attentive...way too attentive. Our waitress was underdressed but professional, but a 20-something male employee kept wandering by our table and we finally realized he was checking out our teenage daughter. He clocked out and left just before we did, only to reappear in the parking lot where he was pretending to change his tire while watching us walk out. I say pretending because as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot, his tire was miraculously fixed and he pulled out behind us and followed us back to the interstate where we finally lost him. Creepy place, don't bring your daughters if you come!

For good barbecue you can't go wrong. I have gone to Park Avenue Grills' many locations over the last 10 years. I have never had a bad meal. I have, but one standing complaint with them. I do not like their potato salad. Maybe it's just me. Everything else is great. Service is great. The ambience is pure barbecue. I have even had their catered ribs that are as good as being at their restaurant. It is kid friendly. My most recent meal there was a combo of ribs and a skewer of shrimp. They were just delicious. In addition to that, their potato pie is side dish is Jerome's collard greens. Be sure to have them with their special vinegar pepper sauce. Very good the best. You can't beat the price.

I love their pulled pork. The corn fritters with powdered sugar are also great. Park Avenue is a great restaurant that I would recommend to anyone.

Barbecue Winner! - BEST DINNERS UNDER $10 Many, many positive write ups and reviews on thier website below: pabbqgrille.com All u can eat ribs on Tuesdays! $9.95 all u can eat chicken + sides Sundays! 8 locations, yee haww! Park Avenue BBQ & Grille has been voted the finest BBQ in Palm Beach County by the readers of the Palm Beach Post for two (2) years in a row. A Florida chain known for barbecue done right, Park Avenue offers hearty, down-home, Southern-style fare. Eats are cheap but substantial, and include classic BBQ-joint offerings like ribs, slaw, baked beans and fries. But Park Avenue takes a few baby-steps outside the typical with a wine list, Buffalo chicken wings and fried chicken. The chicken is fried fresh for every order so expect a 20-25 minute wait (we hear is well worth it). Dessert options are just as heavy, countrified and classic: peanut butter pie and buttermilk cake.

After flying in late at night, I found this to be just what I was looking for. Good BBQ, affordable prices and decent environment. The only knock on Park Avenue is that I wish there were more side options.

This was the worst barbecue I've ever eaten. I called ahead and asked if the ribs were actually smoked and was golden they were so I was pretty excited that this would be real barbecue and not par boiled. I also figured if zagats gave it a decent rating it had to be good. Ambiance okay which I don't care about as long as food is good. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. They were pretty good. Definitely not homemade because they were all too perfect. My husband ordered a full rack of baby backs and cole slaw and baked beans for his sides. Ribs were dried out and no taste. Definitely NOT smoked. Waitress said sides were homemade and clearly she lied and this was not the case. I got a cheeseburger which was not medium like I requested and the meat had no taste. My fries were also bland and had zero taste, ketchup couldn't even help them. My daughter got chicken tenders which came straight from a freezer and "homemade Mac and cheese" which tasted like soapy stouffers. I really should have complained to the waitress and sent our meals back, but I didn't. Thankful for my glass of Pinot Grigio, at least that didn't get messed up.

  • Steven S.

Meh, not the best, definitely not the best. Their hush puppies tasted is if they were sitting under a warmer for hours... The pulled chicken is more of a thick sliced chicken on an italian hero. It doesn't eat as a sandwich, requires fork and knife operation. The Ribs -- baby back, were extremely meaty, really nice cut; however, their BBQ sauce did them no justice. :( Skip the mac 'n cheese, unless you like Kraft.
