Wolfs Den Restaurant Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

The place was a warm and cozy eatery with regulars and locals. Wolves plaster the walls as it provides a certain look.some booths were available as well as tables. Service was good and servers were attentive. Perhaps the breakfast is better but we had arrived for lunch that day and ordered salads. They are generous on the dressing for sure. A lot more than anyone else I have seen. Though it seems as if they cut the veggies and added it to the plates. Presentation was not much of a forte. Drinks were served in diner plastic cups. Overall, it's a nice cozy place if you are in a casual mood.

I really have to say "hmm" on a lot of the reviews I read on restaurants in the Tampa area. Guess I'm spoiled from growing up in the Chicagoland or I'm just a food snob. Yes the portion size is big but I was disappointed with the quality. To me, it lacked the texture. Pancake reminded me of a large thin crust pizza. The omelet was made with an over whipped egg. Hence, it was really light and fluffy. You bite it and it deflates. The wife's french toast was saturated with oil. Overall the place was okay but I had high expectation after consulting with colleagues and reading the reviews. SoOddly it kinda reminds me of eating at the Waffle House.

Was in town on business and looking for a nice place to have breakfast. Stopped by this place along highway 54. Seemed like they do good business as they were pretty packed. Had the pancakes and a hot chocolate. Nothing special but you'd be surprised how many places can't even do the simple things right. It only comes with 2 pancakes but for good reason. They are huge. I was barely able to finish it. They were really good and I was really satisfied. The staff was very nice and I was please with my overall experience. I look forward to returning to try their lunch menu.

I love this place. It's small, quaint and always busy full of locals who know a good value. I'm a supporter of small local business and Mr. Wolf and the staff are friendly and the food is good. The pigs in a blanket are more than enough to fill ya and the hash browns and so delish!

Went there 3 weeks ago, the place was jammed. Service was great food (breakfast) was excellent. We will be going back.

Living up in this area, there aren't many places that are locally owned, non-chain restaurants. So, when we found out about Wolf's Den, we decided to give it a try. We pulled in around 11am on a Saturday and it was busy. We waited about 20 minutes and then we were seated. Service was satisfactory although nothing special, but we did enjoy the food. The pancakes were huge, and really tasty. Almost like an added sweetness, so it was a treat with the special my man ordered, which came with 2 eggs, grits, pancakes, toast, and canadian bacon. The grits were kind of plain, but I think the owners are Yankees, so you can't expect good southern grits when there's posters for Chicago-style pizza on the wall. ;) I ordered the hashbrowns and they were pretty good. I got a veggie omelet, with tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. It was perfect. Just the right amount of cheese and veggies, and it wasn't too fluffy or flat. I enjoyed it. Someone walked by with waffles that looked really good, and I was tempted to try their chicken and waffles, but then I heard another customer remark how the waffles tasted like they were frozen waffles, so I passed. The one thing that was a little weird for me was the seating in here. There are larger booths towards the back, then regular size booths closer to the front, and then what appeared to be 5 tables pulled together for a large group. However, it wasn't a large group, the people were all separate parties. They just did that for space. I'm not sure I'd like sitting elbow to elbow with strangers; I'm more into an intimate meal with my sweetheart when we go out to eat. Also, our booth was like half a booth. We sat next to each other and our table backed against the back of the booth in front of us. They definitely make the most of the space, but if this bugs you, you might want to vocalize it upon arrival. They look to have a take out counter at the front that seems fairly efficient. Not much room for waiting, but I can imagine a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel to go would be fairly tasty! We'll come back.

My family makes a point to enjoy breakfast at Wolf's Den every time I visit them in Tampa from NYC. The restaurant is always busy and the owner recognizes and greets most of the regular customers. Wolf photographs, posters, and memorabilia is scattered throughout the restaurant and is quite entertaining for my two young nieces to admire during our meals. The breakfast at Wolf's Den is always comforting and satisfying. Their gigantic pancakes cover the plates (and then some), the eggs are cooked properly, and the corned beef hash is quite tasty. During my most recent visit, I loved my Pigs in Blankets entree. The sausage was delicious! If you are looking for a good breakfast in a casual setting, I recommend Wolf's Den.

Good place for a weekend breakfast. Portions are huge. The hash browns are great. I ordered the wolf's den omelette. I've noticed some of the other reviews complained about everything "comes from a can"...I wonder if this is a lunch issue because my omelette had mushrooms in it and they were definitely fresh. The servers are really nice. Our server gave my daughter a pack of Oreos (she cleared it with me first), just because.

A fantastic place that always delivers huge portions of well prepared food. Make sure you bring your appetite. My family of 4 ate there this morning for brunch and the place was jammed. We only waited about 7 minutes and got our table. Our waitress Mary is always fantastic, even with the place swamped she never misses a beat. We ordered: Pigs In A Blanket / Eggs & turkey sausage / Mac & Cheese / French Dip and all were perfect !. We live 5 minutes from there and are regulars. A great little place

I been here three times for breakfast and always get served good food. The staff is nice and food is delicious. I usually don't eat any breakfast meat but tried their bacon and Its the only bacon I will eat!! Very crispy and tasteful.

I had heard and seen many friends talk about and post on FB about eating at the is place so I thought I would give it a try. We needless to say the overall experience was OK.... The staff was quick and friendly with there service, but the food was just nothing spectacular. One thing that I did notice that turned my wife and I both off was that the salt and pepper shakers were caked with grim and grit and looked as if they had never been cleaned in a long time. Now I know that this seems to be a tiny little thing but when your hungry and get excited to try out the food that has just been placed in front of you and you reach over grab the salt and realize that it looks nasty and immediately you loose all appetite..Totally lost all my appeal for this place.. I am sad to post this bit I hope things chafe around for this little Mom and Pop place...

Very disappointing. Food tastes pre-made. Pancakes were flat and bland. Eggs were disgusting. Hash browns were VERY greasy and bland. Only thing good was the sausage links.

  • Amy Z.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday. Place was busy, portions were enormous, and food was good. I got biscuits and gravy (meh - I've had way better), scrambled eggs (really good), and hash browns (not sure yet - still in fridge as leftovers). Service was quick & everyone was friendly. The amount of wolves in there is a little overwhelming though - 3 wolves would have been plenty :)

First time I have been there in ages. Glad I did. The interior changes are quite refreshing, much more open, giving it a real Diner feel. There were 3 of us and we all had something different. No complaints at all on the food. Tasty and good. Looking forward to returning again soon for some breakfast. The choices there are plentiful and if anything like today's meal, will be a great way to start a day. The only thing that was not enjoyable was the coffee, that tasted a bit generic.

  • Justin D.

Had breakfast with dad here the other day and the coffee was excellent. A rare thing is small diners. I had eggs and corn-beef-hash. Was delicious. Dad had a breakfast special with eggs, sausage, grits, and two pancakes. Everything we ate said was yummy. Now the pancakes here are no joke. Take the triple stack of pancakes from IHOP and maybe, just maybe you'd have the equivalent of a Wolfs Den pancake. These things hang over the edge of a full size plate. See pictures. This is bad because they were so good and it's hard to stop when you have a big delicious pancake staring at you. I gave five stars for 5 because my coffee never went empty, staff was friendly and everything we are was well worth the money.

  • Mike S.

Not impressed with this place at all. We stopped in for breakfast due to this was the only 'diner' in the area. Was sat in a booth with a ripped seat that looked like it had duct tape on it. Staff was attentive but not at all friendly. Felt like you were bothering them to have to ask for something. Had the biscuits and gravy, and it tasted like it came from a can. My wife had a skillet meal that she enjoyed, however I wasn't impressed.

Love the changes. Great food and service. Recently I have been trying different items on the menu, getting away from sticking to a favorite. Just pure enjoyment every time. Thank you for the military discount of 10%.

If you're seeking a home town diner feel, this place is perfect for you. This hidden gem gets pretty busy in the morning, so be sure to come with a little time to wait. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I had their breakfast burrito, and It was every bit of taste and size that I paid for. The wait staff and cook are extremely pleasant. I would rank it one of my favorite Diner style breakfast spots in Wesley Chapel along with First Watch.

  • Jay Y.

Wolfs Den is a quintessential local diner, friendly staff and a big heaping of food. I think if you ordered 10 pancakes, each pancake would be roughly the same size but each of them a little unique and not squirted out of a tube of sorts from a big chain restaurant. The eggs and bacon are done well, the coffee is ok, following the same diner type coffee taste. We came around 9AM on Sunday and it was just starting to get busy. We grabbed the final table outside with shade :-) By 10AM, there was a line out the door, so I'd recommend an earlier breakfast time if you want to grab a table quickly. Weekend breakfast/brunches in the area tend to get packed quick, so the same can be said for most breakfast places in the area. If you're looking for a hearty breakfast, albeit not the healthiest, definitely check this place out...

I believe that there is a new proprietor at wolfs den, so I went back with my family. Thankfully it is much improved; the food, service and attitude. I had a bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich, it was really good and big enough to share. I can't believe how much bacon was in it! Others had a huge omelet, corned beef hash and a chocolate chip pancake the size of a steering wheel. I noticed about 5 new larger booths towards the back, great idea. I wish the new owners much luck! To quote the terminator "I'll be back".

    (4)
  • Angel R.

Had breakfast here and it was delicious. The pancakes taste like cake batter and what cake batter ever tastes bad?! This was my first time and won't be my last!

  • Tricia S.

The restaurant offers good breakfast and lunch options at a great value because the portions are generous and prices aren't too high. The choices on the menu were of your run-of-the-mill breakfast joint with nothing real special or innovative, but if you want eggs, toast, and sausage, come on down! The coffee could be better, but geeeez does your food come out FAST. Their take-and-bake pizzas are an option if you can't sit because they don't offer take-out orders (as of last month) anymore. The decor is fitting because the owner's last name is Wolf, but if you're afraid of Wolf pictures staring at you while you eat, then think twice. I really do like the collection that they have going. I don't like the business card-like ads plastered into the table tops because I think it looks cheap. The outdoor seating is nice.

I eat here frequently and it's great for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. They are popular for their breakfast items as they are affordable and well portioned. I've always been satisfied from their fish n' chips basket, tuna sandwiches, shrimp basket, and more. Most recently I tried the broccoli cheese bites and the "Seagull" wings (they're chicken). The broccoli cheese bites are fried pieces of cheesy broccoli. You can get ranch or honey mustard to dip in but that's pretty much it. It was tasty but I probably would not get it again. The chicken wings come in various sizes (6, 12, ?) and are standard fried chicken wings. What I like about them is that they are meaty and crispy, more so than many chicken wing places like Beefs or Winghouse. They lack in flavors though as they do not toss the wings in sauce but I believe it's not necessary. You can request hot or mild buffalo sauce as well as either bleu cheese or ranch. Overall the menu has a wide array of options, from omelettes, pizza, wraps, sandwiches, pastas, and more. I'm not sure what I'll end up trying next but I'll be sure to let Yelp know!

Wolf's Den has been newly revamped with cleaner, more organized decor and shiny new booths. Many of the menu items have been changed and upgraded, while plenty if diner favorites remain. I tried the shrimp po'boy and was thoroughly impressed with the "piggy" sauce on it, which they make in house. Even if you tried this place in the past, give its new incarnation a shot now. You will likely be impressed.

  • Sarah B.

The food was pretty good...however we felt it was a little overpriced for breakfast food. Some of the staff seemed a little grumpy but our server was very sweet. We put our name in and waited about 30 minutes for a table. Overall it was ok.

  • Brad F.

Came here based on other yelp reviews. Appears the decor has been revamped in the last 10 months. Tables are new, wall decor is new and booths are new. Food was great, highly recommend the hash brown casserole. Kids meal came on a kids plate which was great. Pancakes are almost like crepes. Both them and the French toast did not need much if any syrup. Will be back.

  • Rick D.

I believe their menu is too large making the food just mediocre. Hot dog was horrible. I took one bite and could not eat no more. I love hot dogs, I can even eat the cheap ones from the grocery store. breakfast is better

  • Ryan S.

Negatives: Bacon was of cheap quality and cooked after it went bad. It didn't have that bacon smell or taste, I almost threw up and then I sent it back. I uploaded a pic of the bacon. It was a faint orange / brown. WARNING: Cheap Ingredients and Expired Bacon Eggs Benedict: Yolk the consistancy of water, not cooked properly Nasty Chocolate Chip Pancake: Extra thin pancake, huge and not fluffy at all Served on a plat half the size of the pancake... whyyy? had to fold the pancake to eat it I will NEVER eat here again and I recommend you never do. The seasoned waitress was nice so I left her a 30% tip. I'd recommend Cracker Barrel instead... you'll regret this place.

Wolf's Den looks like it is under going some renovations. New bar seating (nice touch), new colorful menus. During the week it's a great place easy in easy out. On the weekends its packed. I have not had a bad meal yet. All the breakfast options are good. The only thing I don't particularly care for is the hash browns. Not saying they are bad, just not my type. Favorite thing on the menu is pigs in a blanket! Must try for everyone. Guaranteed it will fill you up. If not you can handle an ungodly amount of food.

I have been eating at Wolf's Den Restaurant with my friends and family for over 6 years and cannot say enough about this place. It is a diner in Wesley Chapel that serves exactly what I want at an affordable/ reasonable price with generous portions of eggsm pancakes, sandwiches, you name it. If you want casual family eating that is local and friendly, this is it. It is NOT a sports bar that is loud and routy. It IS the family diner that also has outdoor seating for those that want it. About to expand next door we understand and looking forward to seeing the expansion. There is enough demand to certainly warrant it! Thanks to Wolf's Den for serving our neighborhood for so long!

Fantastic breakfast. We were passing through and stopped here because we did not want your normal chain restaurant. There was a long list of people ahead of us however it did not take long to be seated. The service was very good and they were super busy too! All of the food came out really fast and was delicious! Plenty of food to eat!

Was a great place for breakfast, but still not a NYC diner. Will still go back because there is not many places like this in the Tampa area. Services were great and friendly.

Really 3.5 stars...Met a friend here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. We both decided to try the breakfast since that seemed to be what everyone was raving about. I got the pigs in a blanket and she got the eggs Benedict dish. I agree with everyone that the portions are HUGE! Service was mediocre...food came out quickly but took a bit to get servers attention to order or if we needed anything once we got our food. The syrup container on the table was super sticky and the syrup was cold - not not-hot, but cold. I asked our server if I could have some warmed up and she looked at me a little strange, but brought back a little condiment cup with some and that made a big difference!! I enjoyed my breakfast with the warm syrup and my friend enjoyed her breakfast too. Steady crowd in and out (about 50% full). Prices are very reasonable considering how much food you get. It probably won't be my go-to, but would not mind going again for breakfast.

I have been a patron of Wolf's Den for several years. Today it was as if a different restaurant had opened. I was excited to try the new skillet for breakfast. My friend had her meal delivered but not mine. I saw my skillet at the window but the waitress kept walking by. I eventually picked up my own meal only to find the whole potato layer burnt. She never checked with us or refilled a beverage. I am very disappointed The two stars were for my friend's meal. I should have had the omelette.

New to Florida and found this gem by using Siri on my phone. Great service, very clean and helpful. Food was delicious ! Loved their Tuna melt. My wife had their BLT club. Everything here is/looks so good and servings are very generous ! I will be back to try the breakfast.

While I was waiting to be seated I noticed that a person in the kitchen was handling the food without a glove which to me is very unsanitary. Therefore, I decided to go elsewhere. This was a disappointment since I had read so many good reviews on Yelp. Hopefully, management can get this corrected.

Since my husband and I moved to New Tampa seven years ago we've been to Wolf's Den enough where everybody who works there knows me. Yesterday the restaurant was crowded. I saw open booths but not not the people on the side . Often people on the side are waiting for take-out but I backed off when I learned that they're waiting for booths. A waitress told me that I could sit at a communal table. At first I started to head to take a seat but turned to wait for a booth. A waitress thought that I was trying to jump the line, raised her voice and SCOLDED ME. Treated like she never saw me before, like a child, not like the polite person who always says please, thank you and tips well. My husband and I were seated but I was trembling. Angry and sad I got up and walked out. Once outside i started to cry. I seriously have an issue with someone who takes the liberty to treat me with so little respect.

My go to breakfast spot now. Country Fried Steak and gravy is great. The Hash Browns are tasty good! The Chili over Spaghetti almost required 2 plates. As a former Army vet I've always admired the chow the Marines were serving, this former Marine Vet, Roger, takes Marine "cuisine" to a whole new level.

    (5)
  • Leslie P.

My husband and I went here when looking for a breakfast spot that wasn't a chain restaurant. The food was mediocre and the staff were unprofessional. We got seated in the back where the server station is so I got to hear the staff picking at one another. There was one employee eating food at the server station over where they prepare your food. If that wasn't bad enough the whole place is covered in wolf pictures, literally.

    (2)
  • Laura-Lee H.

We ate there for breakfast a while back, and loved it. The pancakes are homemade, and are huge. They're so good that I ate them without syrup. The breakfast sausage was some of the best we ever had. We haven't had a chance to get back there, so today we decided we would order breakfast to go. I called them and a man answered the phone "hello?" instead of saying the name of their business. I told him I would like the place a take out order, and was told they don't do that anymore! So I said, what if I came in and ordered it there, then waited for it, and I was told no! I don't see how they can run a business like that. Why would you turn away customers?

Best breakfast in Wesley Chapel! Food is great, service is great, even when busy!...and the new owner is very easy on the eyes. Excellent way to start your morning!

  • Eden B.

Can't say anything about the food except that it looked good as we stood for twenty minutes or more with 3 tables that were empty and dirty the entire time. The waitresses didn't even know what tables they had. Only one waitress seemed to know what a restaurant actually did. We saw a few groups leave when we showed up but figured we would still try it out. I never leave bad comments like this but it was absolutely ridiculous. They discontinued to-go orders because the staff can't handle it. I couldn't understand why until I watched the headless chickens run around doing nothing productive. I am dumbfounded. To the owners, all you need is organization and you could thrive. People are still willing to wait through the bs and give you business. You are losing so much more by people walking out. I have not seen so many people walk away and go somewhere else before. Like I said, the food LOOKED good but never had the chance and probably never will. :(

I had the wolf den's omlette. It was real good. The staff were nice and friendly. Service was great. I would eat here again. My personal favorite thing about this place Is that it is own by a retired combat Marine Sgt Major. I love supporting my fellow vets!

We waited for 45 minutes for a table for Sunday brunch, only to wait another 50 minutes for our food to come. The pancakes were hard around the edge, the mushrooms in the garden skillet were from a can. Overall a terrible experience. Will not return.

Great place to eat. Breakfast in and old fashion diner environment at a great price. Recent menu change added some great new items in addition to the old faithful ones. And as always the coffee is awsome.

  • Seth R.

Gross. There is nothing going on at this place that makes it special at all. The reviewers giving this place 5 stars are probably happy eating a can of Spagetti-o's. I ordered the Chicago hot dogs. The bun and toppings were straight off the shelf. The dog itself was tough (!) and only slightly warm. Boiled, not grilled. Gross! My wife ordered the turkey sandwich and chili. Turkey was right out of a package and the chili was out of a can. The server was gruff and impatient. Anyone who thinks the food at this place is anything special is killing themselves.

Today was our first visit to Wolfs Den Restaurant. When we were seated and greeted by the waitress I let her know it was our first time at their establishment. When taking longer to decide what to order than what our waitress thought we should, my family felt rushed rather than welcomed. When presented with the bill the prices we were charged didn't match what was on the menu (we were charged more). When I asked to see a menu and brought this to the attention of the waitress, she was very rude about it and acted like I did something wrong. Today's experience was not a positive one and I don't plan on giving this place a second thought.

Mr. Wolf is a doll. Standard diner fare, all well prepared and good. Good value for your money. The Ba Ba Bene is my favorite and the fish and chips is also very good. Only complaint is lack of organization in getting people seated, and not making a list of which party is next in line. It is like you are invisible until you get seated, then the service is fine.

  • Yum E.

Wolf's Den is up and down so a decent restaurant as it lacks consistancy. The breakfast portions are large and the omlets are probably one of the better options in our area. Lunch is pretty good but not the best option for those trying to avoid a heart attack. Service is ok but a family run business so not a problem in my mind. They use products based outside the area like Hormel for deli meat and hot dogs so the qualify is definately there. The hours later in the evening can sometimes be tricky is you're looking for take out as they esentially take your order only if they feel like it based on how busy they are past about 7pm. In the mini mart area consisting of other restaurants they're probably the best however PDQ is serving as healthy competition. I haven't tried the pizza or dessert but they seem to have healthy options there as well. Overall A-ok but worth a try if you're in the area as the price is good considering the food you get in return.

We really like going to this little diner . It has a small town feel and good food. The owner and staff are really friendly. They have a huge selection of food from every mealtime . You can get pancakes( my wife's favorite ) at dinnertime. They are as large as the plate . I've had several different things and each time they were good. The prices aren't that high, about average. We will be back.

If you want a family oriented restaurant with great service and even better food this the place. Like an up north diner where the staff knows your name. Also every Christmas Eve the owners have free buffet breakfast and lunch for all customers. Very thoughtful people!

The place is called Wolf because that's the last name of the owner. Who's Mr Wolf? Just a relocated yankee who wanted to open a breakfast joint in New Tampa. The wolf pics on the wall are almost a little over-the-top. I didn't notice any Teen Wolf movie pics. Minus one star, although I didn't look at every pic. The breakfast here is pretty good and well worth the price. My family (who live in the area) are regulars. They claim that the eggs have something strange mixed into them and insisted I order regular scrambled, so I did. Not sure what they are doing to those eggs. Nevertheless, they were pretty good. The pancakes are very large and cooked perfectly. The grits were a little lumpy. I won't hold that against them too much, I don't expect a fella from Wisconsin to make good grits. But all in all, this is a terrific local joint, a strip mall gem amidst the suburbia backdrop. Will it make you howl at the moon? Not exactly, but they're worth a visit.

Great little place for some really good breakfast. Pancakes are very thing sweet and big. You will not be disappointed.

I wish I could comment on the food, but I wasn't able to place my order! I went to Wolfs Den at about 9:30AM. The place was busy, but I just wanted to place a "to go" order for a couple of breakfast sandwiches for the staff at work. I stood at the window for about 5 minutes without any kind of acknowledgment from the staff. I finally got the attention of the man behind the counter and asked him to take my to go order when he had a spare minute - his response to me was, "Can't you see i am too busy to take your order? Just take your coffee and go!" I can only assume that the Wolf's Den doesn't need any more customers....

Worst place ever. Eggs were messed up food was fresh out of a can it seemed like. Maybe lunch is better. I've had lunch here and it wasn't too bad but breakfast not so much. Will never eat breakfast here again.

Absolutely my favorite breakfast place ever. The hole-in-the-wall feel is very down home and country. The servers seem very stressed from how busy they are on weekends. However, their food is good enough to make up for any flaw. Try the "Ba Ba Benny!"

Great food, great service. Best buy for a meal in the area. Just one question: how did you get my Mom's chili recipe?

Probably one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The burger is probably one of the best I had in a long time. Just wish the prices wear just a tad cheaper.

Place is meh... Nothing special. They do need to buy a higher quality of bread though. It is TERRIBLE. I noticed it is Sam's brand the last time I was in there. Honestly, I was a little disappointed/insulted. If your profit margin is that low maybe you need to consider other options? My husband and I kept commenting on how bad it was - then lightbulb!
