Breakfast is very good, pancakes are amazing but the service is very slow. Sometimes up to 15 minutes for someone to take your order. They need more staff

I have ordered the 2 egg veggie scramble two times and both times it was flavorful and cooked well. I also had the home fries well-done and they were very good as well. Quick service, no fuss, no frills. The wait staff is efficient but not very outwardly friendly. A small smile on either of my visits would have made me feel welcome. The coffee is drinkable and is better here than at many other morning places down the road but closer to 2 stars.

Their breakfast is always delicious. We like to try custom meals. Last weekend they had a Philly cheesesteak omelet. We wanted to try a philly eggs Benedict. They make anything we can dream up. Pleasant service. Great prices.

I grew up in palm beach county and I feel as if small local restaurants are as easily found as in other areas that I have lived in. I love Gabriel's because the atmosphere is very homey, the staff is so personable, and they always have fun and new menu items on their chalkboard. This place is always busy and I think the reason for their traffic is evident.

This place is overrated. I love a mom & pop place, but this one is not good. The place inside seemed dirty. The breakfast is average at best and the servers are usually grumpy. Was there today for the first time in years, and nothing seems to have changed: service was terrible and the food was gross. I had an omelette which was undercooked and runny, amongst other things. Anyways, I get the appeal: local Wellington diner, family owned, etc, but overall I don't think it's that great. Just my own opinion though, everyone else seems to love it.

It's been many moons since I've been to Gabe's, as I moved to Miami about a year and a half ago. I used to go here when I was awake early enough, on the weekends, for an unforgettable meal. My first frittata was enjoyed here. Asparagus and bacon, it was delicious and to this day I still try to re-create it at home. Very often you'll see Gabriel himself here, serving food and checking in on the patrons. It's a homey and solid restaurant, that people are faithful to for years. If you haven't been here, make a point to stop by some weekend morning. It's a gem.

Gabriel's wins, hands-down, for the best breakfast in Wellington. Personally, I think the BLT with egg on whole wheat is fabulous, served with a side of crispy hash browns. Some other favorites of the family are the 2+2+2, which you can get with 2 pieces of french toast or pancackes, and 2 eggs any way you like, with 2 sausage links or bacon; the frittata, filled with veggies and cheese; omelettes, with many combinations; and the eggs benedict -- absolutely fantastic! Gabriel himself is always on site, running around making sure everything is perfect. But he will take time to stop and talk and even give your kids a lollipop on the way out, as long as they trade it for a hug.

Leon G.
I go to Gabriel's often and it's consistently v. good. I don't eat waffles/pancakes but our out of town guests from Manhattan say it's the best they've had. I always have eggs/omelets/corned beef hash and everything is always great. In all the years I've been going to Gabriel's I've never had bad service. They're super busy sometimes and 1 has to be patient but Gabriel and his staff are always friendly. Lunch is also xlnt: great soups, sandwiches burgers. It is definitely THE place to go in Wellington for bkfst or lunch.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. The manager Gabriel is a plain jerk! We waited almost two hours for our food, with not a single mention of why it was taking so long. Our waitress didn't care, and when we told Gabriel he blew us off with a rude answer. He's a jerk, the service was horrible. Please do not go here.

Realllly good breakfast here! I've been a handful of times - I only visit when I'm home visiting family. From what I can tell, it's full of locals and regulars. The waitresses are great and have no pretension about themselves - just nice, hardworking ladies. There are a few rooms inside and one of them is full of windows, which is nice in the morning, except the view isn't so great - other buildings and a parking lot. There's some outdoor seating, too. At any rate, the atmosphere can you feel like you're in a cozy litle diner if you close your eyes. The decor is a little bit outdated - I'm not sure if that's part of the charm or not but the food was enough to make me overlook all of that. Everything I've had has been fresh and tastes like "home". You know what I mean? Nothing too over the top; there's omelettes, biscuits and gravy, breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, and healthy options, and it's all served in great portions for great prices. You can request whatever you want for the oatmeal, whether it's milk, brown sugar, berries, etc. and the french toast and pancakes are incredible in their simplicities. I really enjoyed their biscuits and gravy and my other favorite is their crossiant with egg and cheese and whatever meat you'd like. I usually go with no meat, or with ham, and even though it's soooo bad for you, it was delicious. Also, the serving size of oatmeal that comes as a side is the perfect amount. Some other sides are grits, hashbrowns, fruits - the good ol' staples that they've somehow made even better. I'm sure I'll be back - and maybe try the healthier options for once!

This place has 5 different eggs benedict and other good stuff for low prices. Its the best deal for breakfast anywhere. Its not perfect though, hollandaise was not tangy enough, needs more or better lemon. They have real butter, real creamer, but fake syrup, why? Should put out real syrup and raise prices if necessary. The place was completely full and service was still good. They have dogs allowed in the outdoor seating area which is really cool but also ash trays and people smoking which is barbaric.

I went there today with my 88 year old mother for Valentines Day breakfast. It took over 45 minutes to get served and the food was horrible. My croissant was stale and burned--eggs were also over cooked. Mom's omelet was watery. I think what bothered me the most was where I was sitting. I could see inside where the servers were picking up the food. Many of the servers were touching the food on the plates (moving the bacon on the plates and touching the toast). Turned my stomach. As I was paying to check out, other patrons were complaining too. Didn't seem to phase the cashier (owners daughter?). I won't be back.

A lot of people say this place is like "home". I have to say I agree. The owner is a little rough around the edges but he's there everyday in the front of his Resturant greeting customers. I can't say that for other places. He was very kind to our family and his wife is also there to make the "home" feeling complete. Food was also great, I love their fresh fruit parfait! I've read the reviews and was dubious on what I'd experience. Sorry Florida people but taste buds here are lacking. I read on yelp that Gabriels was finally offering REAL syrup and thus I was swayed to come in. I ordered French toast. I got aunt gemima fake stuff. I asked about the real deal. It was going to cost me an extra buck. fine. Well, my french toast was fantastic. It was made with real bread not that challabullah bread (I cant even spell this stuff - on purpose - can't be bothered to look it up). The verdict? French Toast was great, ask for the real maple syrup, enjoy your meal cuz you won't be enjoying the service (never even brought me water).

Walked in a Sunday morning looking forward to having a nice breakfast with my family. Had one family of 4 ahead of our family of 4. No worries, we could wait. A party of 2 comes in, sat right away. Another party of 2 comes in, sat right away. Our name was on their "list" and we were standing in front of them so couldn't be forgotten. A party of 3 comes in and adds their name to the list, then a party of 6. Long story short, all of those people were sat before us. Both the party of 3 AND the party of 6. Gabriel's has been around for ever while other restaurants come and go. It's a great family restaurant. If you're expecting high end 5 star gourmet food and million dollar service, you will be disappointed. It's a very homey place with smiling faces. On the weekends you will have to wait a while to be seated because they are so busy. Sometimes you will see other people being seated before you because if you're a part of 4 you cannot be seated at a table for 2. And if you're a party of 4 and a party of 6 comes in they will be seated first if there is a table for 6. If you want to be seated right away on the weekend your expectations are way too high or you're used to going to restaurants that are empty and can seat you right away. Gabriel's has great food, the service is OK those girls really try hard though. The only thing I would complain about if anyone ever asked is that the place needs to be revamped. New flooring, new paint job, and not that the place is dirty, but it needs a good scrub down. Nevertheless, I do love Gabriel's. I go there as often as I can and I take my friends and family there. Everybody loves it and wants to come back.

My family went to Gabriel's Cafe for breakfast and we were a bit disappointed. I ordered the waffle special which was banana and granola waffles. Unfortunately there was no sign of granola in my waffle. Our server was unfriendly and did not return to our table to offer more coffee until we were all almost done. When I gratefully asked for more coffee, our server first went to the register to count the money and then finally went to get my coffee. We were expecting a homey, friendly place but found it to be anything but what we expected. If you are not a regular patron do not bother going to Gabriel's because you will be disappointed.

I've been here 3 times in 2 months. I tried it with friends for lunch (but of course we ate breakfast food!) and then took my husband there once for lunch and we came back again the following weekend for breakfast. I overwhelmingly prefer the breakfast food (all of the pancakes are excellent and I love the Georgia waffle as well) but the lunch we had was pretty good too! The french fries with gravy and cheese were great- crisp fry, melty cheese, hot gravy....how can you go wrong?

Nice place with great food. I have enjoyed every visit that I have made. You can sit inside or outside. The owner is always there making sure the place runs well. A great shady place to sit outside with the dog while enjoying breakfast. We all loved that! Decent prices, great selection and good coffee. Can't wait to go back.

Great breakfast! I've never had anything else here, but I still love the place. My family has been going here for a number of years.

Best omellettes and pancakes in town, eggs benedict are also good but not the best. Good service but they could do a better job in cleaning tablas as well as the bottle of syrup. Would definetely would go back. :)

Gabe's Cafe feels like home. This is the best place to go for breakfast. I grew up going here every saturday morning for breakfast. w/ my family Their menu hasn't changed and everything is delish! I love the waffles and i hear the banana pancakes are to die for! They also have awesome grits and hashbrowns that are too yummy! The atmosphere is laid back and relax... what more to say? Check em' out!
