First of all, this place is small. VERY small. And after you get past that, and order, you will be amazed at the flavors awaiting your taste buds. Let me start by saying that the hostess was extremely hospitable. Super nice and accommodating, making you feel like you're eating in their own home. I ordered the sauteed pork belly appetizer and the Nabeyaki Udon. Both were extremely fresh and flavorful. The broth that was served with the Udon was some of the most flavorful I have ever had. I would like to write more but the rest of the evening awaits. If you like Japanese food, especially Udon or Ramen, try this place out. Best in the area, hands down.

this is one of my favorite places. Its a tiny place run by a Japanese couple (they remind me of my parents). They serve some really great authentic Japanese home cooking. For me, when I am missing my mommy's cooking...I pop in there. I always get the specials, whatever is hand written on the paper signs on the wall. The ramen and udon is always great as well. I love the tako-yaki and yaki tori accompanied by a nice cold Kirin Ichiban.

It's quite small, but it's cute. the ramen there is pretty good however I dislike the fact that there wasn't my favorite hot sauce there haha. I mean I LOVE SRIRIACHA, I feel an empty void without it lol. This place is also kind of hidden, using my maps on the phone took me to the general area but I couldn't find the restaurant, so keep an eye out and you will see a small ramen sign. The people are nice there and it is very quiet. It is definitely not made for big groups. non-the-less, it is pretty good, I haven't found another true ramen place in this city. You can add different items into your dish, such ass egg, corn, or pork.

Cha-Cha is definitely a gem in the somewhat boring Wellington. It's tiny and tucked away in a weird strip mall that's not even facing the street. But it has an authentic feel of typical Japan Izakaya. The menu offers the standard Japanese food, sushi, tempura, udon, ramen, don, etc. The place is small and run by a Japanese family from Yokohama. We recently returned from a trip to Japan, so can give the honest opinion that the dishes Cha-Cha offers are very authentic, easily beating all other Japanese restaurants in the area (and yes we have tried most of them). I haven't tried their Sushi rolls recently, so can't comment on that. But their noodle dishes are quite good (Ramen and Udon). The Tonkotsu Cha Cha Spicy Ramen's broth is very flavorful, the ramen noodle chewy, the only downside is the pork, which is tender but not as tender / flavorful than those we tasted in Japan. The Nabeyaki Udon is also quite good, the slight downside compared to the Udon in Japan would be that the noodle is not as springy, and the soup a little too sweet. But I'd say I'm quite satisfied with the quality of both noodle dishes, considering the location. It wasn't crowded when we were there, so the service was prompt. The owner is very friendly. When we communicated with her using the very little Japanese we knew, she was very happy and eagerly chatted with us. We showed her the photo of an Udon dish we had in Japan, asking whether they make it in Cha-Cha. She said it's not on the menu, but they can surely make it. All in all just a very neighborly feel and a place that I will definitely return again and again in the future.

What a disappointing little hole. 7 pm on a Saturday and the portly waitress about cried telling me she just did the last takeout because they only had one chef. Where are the owners and management of this place? She was bussing tables, waiting tables, turning down customers...it wasn't even busy and quite frankly the place looked unusually dirty. It's a fairly new shopping center and the place looks like it's hasn't been cleaned since the 80s. The rating on yelp for this place is padded, try another spot, especially if you value cleanliness.

We have heard so many great things about this little hole in the wall dive, so we finally made our way here. There are about 8 tables so make sure you get here before it gets busy. Once you're in, you will be greeted by the lovely little owner....she's as cute as a button and frequently speaks her native tongue with customers. She's extremely polite and is always smiling. We ordered the ramen, a Mongolian beef rice bowl, the spring roll appetizer and the pan fried wontons. Everything was so delicious! We can't wait to go back!

I ordered the Tonkotsu Cha Cha Men (not sure if I spelled it correctly), but it was delicious. Great noodles and a very tasty broth. The woman was really friendly and the service was great. Definitely will be coming back soon.

Awesome Ramen, friendly staff and can't wait to go back for the Soba and the Udon. Kind of small and if you do not know where it is you would most likely not see it as there is no sign out on the street.

Great service & I was impress with the food! Wish they used firm tofu vs soft because it falls apart. Everything else was delicious! Small portions so prepare to order more! Is like the tapas concept! I will be back soon!

This place is fantastic! I've been looking for a place that served katsu-don similar to what I've tried in the mitsuwa food court in Arlington heights IL. I have to say, it's better! I can't wait to try their ramen. For people who are coming to try the sushi, they had a sign on the door stating they were no longer serving sushi and instead adding more authentic Japanese dishes to the menu. Even better! I can't wait to come back and try their ramen.

I decided to try this restaurant after reading so many good reviews; plus my daughter watches a lot of animae and wanted to try Ramen. I really liked the Ramen. My husband and other daughter tried the chicken teriyaki, which they said was very good. But the portions were small, which is why I took away a star. I will definitely go back.

I have been to Cha-Cha on a number of occasions and eating a wide variety of their excellent selection. I have always found the Sushi, melt in your mouth Fresh; the Ramen selections authentic and at the heart a very respectable broth. Noodle dishes are very soothing from Udon to Soba. The Sake selection is more than adequate including my favorite Nigori, which is properly served cold. I may be qualified to speak having experienced Ramen in Sapporo ( Including Ramen Alley, and far beyond), and many outrageous Tokyo and New York offerings both well known (Ippudo, Totto Ramen, Bassanova, Misoya), as well an some underground a pop up joints. This is my favorite Oasis in South Florida. The TV tuned to NHK Japanese version is also a nice touch that compliment the excellent service and the Japanese hospitality, Cleanliness and attention to detail not often found in a restaurant in the US.

The Hot and Sour Ramen with egg, bamboo shoots and Cha-Shu. Was awesome!! The broth was just right, the noodles were of good quality. Alot of detail was placed in my bowl of Ramen. Will be returning.

Picked this restaurant due to the high reviews but was highly disappointed with the food and most of all, the service that was given to us. We decided to try some of the soups, since it's what reviewers recommended the most. We ordered the spicy miso ramen and a pork broth based spicy soup with pork meat on top. The food was "ok" at best, but lacked a lot of flavor and the waitress although nice, was nowhere to be found every time we needed her (even though this is a very small place). She never once came to check on us and make sure everything was ok with our meal and we had to stand up and come to the counter several times in order to get her attention. We usually have great experiences with highly reviewed places found on this site but this time was definitely a disappointment.

If this place wasn't so far away from where I live, I would definitely eat here every day!! Awesome Japanese authentic food. Especially the noodle soups. Only problem is this place need to be bigger! :) other than that everything is perfect.

Excellent place to dine..... went there with friends. Great atmosphere & awesome food. All the food was fresh to order & everything came out quick. If there were 6 stars I would of given it 6. Highly recommend. U won't be disappointed! !!

I come here almost every weekend to relax and eat delicious ramen. Not to mention that I almost ALWAYS choose this place to spend my weekly "cheat meal" at. I have tasted almost every single ramen here and I was happy with all of them. My favorites are the Miso Ramen and the Spicy Pork Tonkatsu Ramen. The service here is great, and I love striking up a conversation with our server. When my friends come up to West Palm Beach to visit me, I take them here for lunch.

Good food and service. This is an unusually good place to eat in wellington. It does not have Wellington portions, I can eat an entree and not get stuffed, for me its just right. Nothing is too greasy or too seasoned, perfect food for eating lunch or dinner and then going back to work.

In a field of NOT SO GOOD asian restaurants in south florida, Cha-Cha is a breath of fresh air. I recomend the ramen here... not the sushi or rolls but the ramen. I am always reluctant to eat at we offer everything restaurants (prefer just a ramen house or sushi restaurants) but the ramen here is satisfying. Would this resturant be secessful in say LA or SF? maybe not, but for WPB, it works. The service is great! Family owned and super nice.

We LOVE this place. My husband used to live in Japan and we used to live in Los Angeles (tons of great Japanese). This place is like coming home for my husband. Listen, if you enjoy chain restaurants, can only name two Japanese dishes, or just want your JB/Philly roll, this place isn't for you. This is a small, family run restaurant. It's the kind of place where you don't order off the menu, you ask the mom what's good! It's authentic, home cooked Japanese food. They make things that aren't on the menu. We love the takoyaki, udon, ramen, gyudon, and katsu curry. We are huge sushi eaters and we don't ever order sushi here. Most of the negative reviews here are about the sushi. In my experience, unless you have a dedicated sushi chef and enough output to keep everything fresh, it just usually isn't worth it. Come here for the authentic dishes. It can be a little pricey depending on what you order. I'd much rather give my money to this place than a lot of the other restaurants in town!

I hate to update my review with a lower rating but I was so disappointed in the portion size for takeout tempura don and bulgogi don that I had to comment. The price did not justify the the portion size. The bulgogi was also bland.

We were looking for a nice place for lunch in Wellington and came across Cha-Cha. The ramen and soba noodles were great! Very nice flavors and full of fresh ingredients. The broth was so good I should have put it in a cup to savor the taste. Can't wait to go back.

I can't wait to come back here! You will have a hard time finding it but once you do it will be a romance you will not soon forget. The husband takes care of the back of the house. The wife and daughters take care of the front. They are warm and friendly people. The pork Ramen Bowl (Cha shu men) was huge and the flavors lingered in my mind. The skewered short rib (Karubi) was outrageously good. The tea was unique and delicious. Alright, I will admit that I have fallen for this place. Can you blame me?

Easily the best ramen I've had in Sourh Florida. If you don't mind a little kick, the spicy pork ramen is a must. Basically, I recommend ignoring the sushi and trying one of the many traditional Japanese favorites on the menu. Japanese food is so much more than sushi, and this place nails it. Also, be prepared for some of the friendliest service you can imagine in this small, but charming little spot. Totally in love. See you soon, Cha-Cha!

This restaurant has been on my radar for a while. The reviews for their ramen definitely made me want to try it. Last week, we had a glimpse of winter and nothing sounded better than some nice hot ramen. This restaurant is very small, only 5 tables, I think, and obviously some other groups had the same plan as us. We were able to get a table right away but the food took FOREVER! We ordered appetizers because we were so hungry. We did not see any food at all for a good 20-30 minutes. Mind you, we ordered a sushi roll, shrimp tempura and sauteed pork belly for appetizers. We should have received at least one of those within 10 minutes, at most, but the kitchen does not seem to understand how to properly send out food to tables. I think the kitchen was making each order, ticket by ticket, with no regard to whether anyone ordered appetizers. By the time we got our appetizers, we also got our entrees a couple minutes later. It was very poorly planned out. The shrimp tempura was so oily and not crispy at all. I have never had tempura like that before. We almost sent it back but we were so hungry we just said screw it. The sushi was not very good. It was lacking flavor. We only tried one roll so I can't really comment on their overall selection. The pork belly was just OK. I wouldn't order it again. Now to the entrees, I got the pork ramen and my husband got the curry pork udon. He loved my dish and I really liked his. The udon noodles had great texture, but the pork they used in the dish was not good. It was like scraps. But the udon alone made the dish delicious. My husband also did not like the curry flavor. He said it was not cooked down and tasted like it was straight from a grocery store seasoning. My pork ramen was very good. The broth was flavorful and the pork was super moist. You only get 3 pieces of sliced pork but it was still delicious. I would go back but only order the ramen and udon dish (other than the curry option). As far as everything else is concerned, I would pass.

Came back here, per my boy's birthday lunch request. We all love ramen and takoyaki here. Can't say enough good thing about the food/service here. I see many fellow Japanese diners there from time to time. Yes, it is good food even for native Japanese. It is likely the best ramen dish within several hundred miles around this location.

I was happy with my Spicy vegetarian ramen. My boyfriend got a spicy ramen with pork I can't remember which one because on the menu they all seemed so similar. We were overall happy. I gave 4 stars mainly because so far this has been the best option I've found in Palm Beach County. We just got back from San Francisco in which we happened to stay at a hotel across from I think one of the best Ramen places in all of SF (over 7,000 awesome reviews don't lie) - it was also my boyfriend's 1st time trying ramen so he was a little disappointed after having it so good - so good we ate at it twice in same day! The noodles here were ok but again pretty authentic I felt for here. I liked my broth & we both liked option to add bamboo shoots & I added garlic - super yummy that way. He was disappointed that the ONLY meat option was pork. There was a seafood option - but I was just happy to have a vegetarian option. I like places that put the pictures too but thankfully yelp! gives us opportunity to share photos! I'm happy it's right near my boyfriend's work so he will be bringing it home as takeout again soon!

Today was our first visit and we almost missed the place. It is tucked away in a plaza. You will miss the entrance if you do not really look. The place is small, simple and clean. A bit dark, though. We were a party of seven and we were lucky to be accommodated since the place seats maybe less than 20 people, at best. The food comes out fresh and steaming hot! We ordered the pork belly appetizer and it was not what we expected, thinly sliced lightly flavored in vinegar and scallions. It was average. The Tanmen soup broth was light and not too salty. I wish they made their ramen noodles on site since that would have been truly authentic. Their oyster fry is probably in the top 5 of fried oyster dishes I've ever had, quite good and nice size juicy oysters in light panko breading. One big issue was that our group tried to order sushi and they stated the sushi rice was not ready and they were not able to serve sushi, which was disappointing.

Delicious food and drinks made and served by real Japanese people. We asked for a traditional Japanese dish that wasn't on the menu and the chef said he could make it with no trouble. Both plates of food were delicious and reasonably priced especially for authentic Japanese food. The service was quick and friendly. Would definitely go again.

Ughhh another disappointment :( let me start of by saying I used to live in Japan, enough so I know what ramen is from okinawa to kyushu to Kobe to Osaka to Tokyo to hokkaido. The noodles was good the broth was good. The server does not understand when you order tonkotsu ramen when you order in cali or japan ramen you expect to have atleast 2 to 3 slices of pork and (tomago) egg at the very minimum. Not here. Everything comes as an add on.. Ok something different... So when I ordered tonkotsu ramen the waiters brings me tonkatsu..... at this point I'm like rrally after I said ramen atleast 3 times you bring me this...... When I explain to her what I wanted she looked puzzled at not knowing what tonkatsu and tonkotsu difference is ok no biggie baka gaijin..... The tonkatsu was ok semi crispy small tiny cutlet with 3 tablespoons of rice $15.... Hopefully one day I'll get someone who understands the difference... Miso soup has tiny small tofu Pros: good beer no asahi tho Japanese TV Japanese music Clean Maybe one day I'll make the drive back up to wpb to get ramen again seriously feel like I wasted time, I guess I will draw for the waitress next time what I want to purchase... Smh.... If anyone knows other ramen shops let me know thanks

So I moved back to the area recently, and was excited to come back to the delicious food and delightful service of Cha-Cha's... but things have changed. The service, while still friendly, is honestly rather awful. The prices have also gone up... and, sadly, my food here has been mixed. The ramen still pleases me, and so does the Takoyaki.... but I have been let down by some of the other items I've tried. I'll still frequent when I am able, and when I am craving those slurpy, delicious noodles.... but I hope the staff tightens up and the prices sort themselves out. :(

The Katsu don was very good. Really really nice, pleasant service as well. Limited seating but very clean interior. I was disappointed to see they no longer do sushi but they have plenty of other options on the menu and authentic Japanese food isn't all about sushi. I'll be back some time to try the Ramen.

  • Shell A.

Ugh! I ordered one of the tonkotsu ramen bowls but it tasted like fishy peanut butter broth rather than pork broth. I really couldn't even eat it. My friend ordered a different type of ramen and she couldn't eat it at all. It's also unnecessarily expensive. The woman working here was friendly but she stole my quarter lol! I grabbed my hoodie to put it on and a quarter flew out onto the floor. She said "sorry", grabbed it and ran off. What?

I was terribly surprised by how this place could be rated so highly and with so many reviews. It should be skipped, unless you live extremely close to the location. Don't drive out of your way expecting a treat, as I did.

  • Candice G.

I don't frequent this place as much as I used to but I'm sad to say that I may just stop going completely. For the price of the noodle bowls ($15 on average with toppings), I was hoping to be full. Wrong! For $2 extra tofu, I'd expect more than 8 thin pieces which is equivalent to a spoonful. I also asked for tamago (egg) and they said they were sold out! Really, on a Saturday evening before 8pm?! How hard is it to hard boil an egg? Service...wow can we say awful?! It pains me to say that but the owner completely forgot my dad's soup. Everyone on the table were eating already and almost done and his food hadn't came out. We flagged her down to see what was going on and sure enough she forgot. They also hired help (young girl) but her inexperience in the food industry is hurting this business even more. I noticed her clearing table but only taking 2 glasses at a time without a tray. It's so inefficient. She also brought out our noodles one by one, again, no tray! And when a few customers came in to order take-out, she refused them service and said they're very busy! There's only 5 tables in the whole restaurant?!? And only one 2-top table that hadn't gotten their food. I can only hope that the best for them but if they continue this way, doubt they'll be in business much longer. To my dismay, I think this will be my last time here. This used to be one of my favorite places to go. I

So my girlfriend and I were really in the mood for some Ramen so this is the one place that offer the most options. Service was very good and pleasant. Lots of Ramen options however everything that should come in your Ramen was all a cart extra. Stuff like pork, fish cake, egg... all extra. I am from Fort Lauderdale and usually go to Hollywood to a great Ramen place called go bistro in Hollywood. All in all enjoyed my meal. Just don't feel like having to pay for extras.

  • Chiwee H.

We love the Japanese food and the friendly Japanese lady there so we went couple times to this place. I was disappointed on the third time we went. Service was super slow. Waited 30 mins with no water or drink. Tantan ramen is great but tempura ice cream came out without being... fried. The proportion of the Okodomiyaki is definitely smaller than the last two time we ordered. Wish they would hire a server that knows what the food is called on the menu.

I was informed by the waitress that they no longer have sushi. I am so disappointed. Their sushi was really good. It went well with ramen. I was told that they were getting too busy for it. How sad. I did try their hot and sour ramen with 3 pork slices. Delicious!

If I could I would eat here every single day! Authentic Japanese! The noodle bowls here are amazing! I would highly recommend stopping in, not all at once cause the only down side is that there's only about 6-8 tables. But there's never a long wait! The food here makes it all better it is outrageous check it out if your ever in Wellington, FL.! Tell em' Sling sent you.

Awesome food. Always have had great service when we dine in and take out service is great too. They always time it so that the food has just come out when you arrive to pick up. This place is a hidden gem in Wellington. If you like Japanese food or just want to try something new check this place out.

  • Jenna K.

The service was extremely slow. They didn't have a lot of the things on the menu but we didn't know until we placed the order and the waitress came back and told us they were out. The ramen was the best thing about this place. Don't order anything else but the ramen or you will be disappointed! The actual restaurant was WAY TOO QUIET! It made us feel uncomfortable to even have a conversation!!!

Since I discovered Cha Cha back in mid April 2015, I've been back 5 times already. Simple, quaint cafe. No frills, nothing fancy. All the times I've been there, there has only been one server but service was always quick and good, very friendly. They say when it comes to Asian food, if all the Asians go dine there then it must be good right? Um, so true!! I had the Tonkotsu Cha Cha ramen soup...super brothy, just the right amount of spice, and generous portion for the price at $12. Just wished they would slice the pork thicker like in California but it's also quite cheap to add extra pork slices which I do

I used to live in Tokyo and this is the most authentic ramen you can get in South Florida! And the Japanese girls who work there are so sweet and even helped me practice my Japanese a little. Also they have delicious gyoza. Try the Cha Cha men ramen if you like spicy. Super delicious! メチャおいしい!(^o^)

special night ruined! Anniversary dinner...Service couldn't have been worse. He acted put upon if you asked to order a drink. It was not busy...late on a Sunday night. Brought the wrong dish to the table and was angry about it. Seemed very annoyed though he admitted the kitchen made a mistake. He brought back the seafood dish I ordered in white wine which the kitchen prepared in a red sauce. The waiter brought it back to kitchen and in a few minutes brought the SAME dish back with the white sauce poured over the red sauce!!!!! So rude. Service was deplorable and a manager wouldn't even come back to the table to apologize. Left...ate nothing. They charged for the other dish and we will NEVER return! Tourist place ...they couldn't care less.

Udon noodle soup great!, Cha-Cha Ramen great! Waitress wonderful! Will definately frequent this place.

    (5)
  • Jessica F.

I probably eat here once a week. The Nabeyaki Udon is amazing. They've recently stopped serving sushi, which I think is great because the only people who left unsatisfied were those who ordered sushi. It just wasn't where they shined. A thing to note, hard to get a table fri/sat/sun after 6-7ish. They don't have a lot of space and it seems more and more people keep discovering this hidden gem. Go a bit earlier and you're usually fine, or order take out (if there kitchen is able to handle it.)

This place deserves the highest recognition in making their customers happy. This place is located in a small plaza on SR7. There's really no signage stating the restaurant's name on the actual building. I looked for a little bit, but finally found it. This place is amazing. The food is so flavorful and beyond delish. The staff is so attentive to your needs and genuinely friendly. Please check out this place if you're around town. Fast, friendly, flavorful!!!

Extremely disappointed by yelpers here. A poorly run eatery: extremely inconsistent and inflated pricing, unknowledgable service and insufficient menu descriptions, and very hit-or-miss food. Upon sitting down at a 4-top in an empty dining room, we, a party of two, were told we would have to move mid-meal should the place become crowded - a huge red flag already. We made four rounds of attempted ordering before finally arriving to a semblance of a meal partly due to unknowledgeable staff, partly due to no inventory for a large portion of menu (many of the whole food items). The actual food was extremely skimpy and low quality - mostly pre-packaged instant stuff mixed with the bare minimum of whole foods. A bowl of curry soba made from instant curry - $15 (an extra $1.50 for soba with the claim that you need more soba to equal the same mass of ramen). An appetizer of "stir-fried tofu and vegetables" (actually three tablespoons of their ramen garnish side item) - $8 (the side is also listed on the ramen section for $2). Squid tentacles $4.50 for 2 pieces, while grilled calamari is $10 for nearly 20 pieces. This place does well advertising and serving to customers who have no other option for Japanese noodles and are thus willing to overpay for manufactured soup bases served in a real bowl.

I've been hearing about this place from a few coworkers and finally decided to try this place out. I don't remember the name of the dish I ordered, but it was a pork based broth with roasted vegetables, with 2 slices of pork and ramen noodles ($12.00). It was on the spicy side, which I knew going in. The soup was delicious! They serve it in a big bowl, you def get your money's worth. Another friend ordered the same as me and he couldn't get enough of it. This place isn't right next door to me, so next time I come, I'm definitely taking a soup to go next time. The only issue I have with this place, and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is that it only has about 6 tables inside and when I was there all the tables were full. I probably wouldn't come go on a Saturday or Sunday for lunch. I don't want to drive 25 mins just to wait for at least 30 mins or so, but I'll definitely be going back.

Went to try this place after reading all the reviews. The food was average, but the wait was unbelievably long. The waitress was not very knowledgable about the menu. I do not post many reviews, but our experience was very poor.

Absolutely amazing. Clean restaurant, friendly and attentive servers, outstanding food, fair prices, and great environment. The vibe is very relaxed and I love that it is a small restaurant. The only downfall is that because it is small you will most likely have to wait for a table. This place is well worth the wait.

Stopped in a for a quick late dinner while traveling between Orlando and Miami, and so glad we did! The ramen bowl hit the spot and the grilled squid was excellent. Very friendly service too!

I almost didn't see this place because it's hidden between 2 big stores. First off, the owners are Japanese. Real Japanese! Not Thai serving sushi like most places in FL which I find to be super strange. I was in search of a good bowl of ramen noodles. I was very happy to see a decent ramen section on their menu. We ordered the grilled squid for an appetizer which we devoured in a few minutes. It was very good and tender served with Japanese mayo. I ordered the spicy tofu veggie ramen and added the hard boiled egg. (They have toppings you can add to any ramen dish) I wished they had a soft boiled egg option but I'm Asian and I have to have an egg in my ramen so I'll settle for hard boiled. My son had the pork ramen and added minced garlic, and hot oil. It was garlicky and delicious. He murdered it. Down to the last drop of broth. He also had the Ramune drink which is a drink I used to drink all the time as a kid. It has the glass marble you pop into the drink to open it. They also have the Calpico drink which I love and they also sell some basic Japanese candies like Hi-Chew. It's all very nostalgic. I can't wait to go back!

This is some of the best and most authentic Japanese food you will ever have. Their ramen is the best you can possibly find in South Florida, as far as I know. I told my friend one night that I was craving legit, authentic ramen and was bummed I couldn't find any in South Florida. She told me about Cha-Cha and I had to try it out. I've come back since many many times and turned on many friends who have all become obsessed as well. This is not your average American college Maruchen ramen we're talking about. Get real. I don't eat meat, and there are definitely some options on the menu for that. Most of my friends do and rave about the katsu-don, which is a rice, pork and egg dish. My one friend eats that every time he comes and says it's basically like crack. It's run by a Japanese couple who are very friendly. The service is always incredibly nice and good. It's a small spot, but I've never had a problem getting a seat. Even coming with a party of 5. Let's just say this: I've been using Yelp to find cool spots for years and this is the first time I've ever felt compelled to sign up and write a review. That's how good this place is.

The service here can be extremely slow, I have waited over 30-40+ minutes several times for my ramen to arrive after ordering. One waitress told me I could not order to go when they were busy or call in my order ahead to dine in. I also arrived at 8:39pm when they close at 9:00pm and found the door locked and sign off. The waitress unlocked the door and told me that I needed to arrive at 8:30 in order to be served, as that was when the chef wanted the last orders to go out or otherwise they would be there too late. So they actually close at 8:30, not 9:00 on Sunday as the sign in their window states. The ramen itself is very good , and the only reason I go back. In the future I'll call right before possibly arriving and ask how many patrons are in the restaurant. If it's more than two or three , the wait for ramen will likely be over 30-40 minutes and I'll just go elsewhere. If not, I will happily consume the tasty ramen in a reasonable amount of time. So be prepared to wait a loooong time if they are "busy" , which when there are only 7 or 8 total tables in the place is when there are 4-6 tables occupied. The spicy miso ramen and spicy tonkatsu ramen are my go to dishes and they are great. TLDR; Ramen is great, but the wait can be really really long for soup and the actual service is mediocre at best.

I don't get what these raving reviews are about. It must be that I came on Father's Day. We came to get sushi and the first thing we are told is that they don't have any sashimi or sushi lunches or 2 other types of rolls. Also no green tea. So we ordered the regular sushi portions (what is the difference besides price? You've got me...) We got barely tea instead of green tea, because they didn't have that either, and low and behold, the tea tasted like pure coffee, because they brew their tea in the same machine as coffee. Total bad taste in my mouth. I got a shrimp and vegetable tempura for an appetizer, which was 2 pieces of shrimp and 3 pieces of vegetables in a large basket. Really. $6. My sister got the salmon roll which was 99% rice 1% we don't even know. My rainbow roll was cream cheese, rice, and a piece of fish on top. Im still amazed that I spent my Father's Day eating rice and cream cheese. So disappointed. On top of everything the service took forever as there was 1 person working everything.

I am no connoisseur of ramen or Japanese cuisine in general. However one night me and the girlfriend were craving ramen. After going to Yelp to find the closest decent ramen place we came across Cha-Cha. It was a Sunday night and we had a bit of a hard time find the place. It's in the back of a strip mall and has no sign above the place. Anyways the place was packed (relative term as its a tiny place) and they were pretty much all Japanese, must be a good sign I figured. The hostess (maybe the owner?) was very nice and prompt considering the large party behind us. I ordered the pork ramen and my girlfriend ordered one of the soba noodle dishes. Both dishes were very good although the soba was a bit too sweet for my taste but my girlfriend seemed to enjoy it. My ramen were perfect, very tasty. The noodles were the perfect texture for me and the broth was very flavorful. I only wish it would of had a bit more pork in it. We will definitely be back!

We Had a very cheerful waitress that never left us wondering "where did she go"? Unusually good service even in a busy lunch atmosphere. The food was fantastic. It came from the kitchen promptly and it was delicious. We had both a ramen bowl, huge, and curry nanban udan, spicy and flavorful. We will be back to explore the rest of this extensive menu!

This is by far my favorite place to eat. The service is amazing and the food is fantastic! Most authentic Japanese place I've found to eat in Florida yet! I come here almost every week and have no intention of stopping. The Nabeyaki Udon and the Curry Udon are my favorites. Definitely worth a try if you like Japanese food!

  • G T.

Truly as good as it gets here! The first authentic Japanese restaurant (not Thai or Vietnamese attempting to cook Japanese). We tried the Ramen but will be going through the menu in the coming weeks. They carry a wide variety of sake and even candies!! Many items aren't on the menu but posted on the walls so don't forget to look at the walls too. Somewhat expensive for Ramen but you get what you pay for and this place is a gem! Make sure this mom and pop business thrives!

I can't believe this has been right here in Wellington and I didn't know about it. What can I say? It's 100% authentic Japanese, no fusion crap to be found. Tonkotsu ramen is straight up dankness. It's deceptively hot, owing to the high fat content, so be careful. The noodle are chewy and unctuous, just like they should be. I will go back again and again and again. Next time I'm just pointing to the wall of specials and ordering at random.

The portions are incredibly small. Our group ordered 3 different Ramens and we were brought out the same kind. My ramen noodles were soggy right when it came out.

Been here twice and as much as I try to like the food here, it just won't happen. Its was not as good as I thought it would be. Maybe its cause Im from california and already tried from all of those famous places in LA and OC. The ramen here lacks that Japanese authentic taste, it tastes more like one of those instant noodle in the bag we cook at home. Plus a ramen bowl that does not have the half cooked egg, its no Japanese ramen!!! Lol. Tried other dishes, none of them really satisfy me and make me feel like it worth the money. Talking about pricing, food in Florida is so expensive!

Again, I hate to share the things I love best but.....go to Cha Cha! Find it, sit down, order a sake, and the just start ordering the specials they have handwritten on the wall. It will not disappoint. Cha Cha is a small, cozy, family owned and run Japanese joint that is very good at what it does. Order the Tako Yaki balls, fish sausage, actually order two fish sausage. The pork belly. The grilled squid (i order two of those too). I always order the Katsu-Don. Love it when they have the Sumo wrestling on the tv. Just a wonderful little place for dinner.

For Japanese food, it doesn't get better than this joint. Owned by a husband and wife, the wife (who hosts) is just the most wonderful, pleasant lady to be around. She always makes you feel truly welcome. The food is completely authentic Japanese, absolutely no "westernization" to it, probably considering the owner is a jolly old-timer and wouldn't make his food any other way. It's beyond delicious, it's well-priced, and the portions are pretty generous. It's definitely a hole in the wall type of deal, no more than five tables, four of which are two-seaters, and a small bar, but it's never too crowded due to it's unfortunate location (on the backside of a plaza with the BB&T bank, near Victoria Groves). The decor is simplistic but aids the atmosphere, and they will often play Asian dramas on the television which is a nice touch. One of my friends, who is a student in Japanese, had the unfortunate accident of attempting to order in Japanese. I guess he did well enough, because now whenever he comes there they only speak to him in Japanese. Gives him a bit of a hard time but we love it. The friendliest people, best Japanese food, and best price. You simply can't beat it.

This place kept popping up on my Google Now card on my phone and I was like "WHAT SWEET MADNESS IS THIS?" Because I had never heard of it or had even seen where it was And then last night I was hungry and lazy and I said to my husband, "COME, FOR WE SHALL FIND THIS VALHALLA AND DINE LIKE KINGS." And dine like kings we did. I don't want to tell you how to live your life or anything, but if you don't try the Curry ramen (one of the specials on the wall), you aren't actually living your life.

Cha-Cha is a little hidden gem in the heart of Wellington. Although an extremely small interior (about only 5 tables, if that) the food and service is top notch. I've been eating at Cha-Cha for over 3 years and I have yet to be disappointed. Please try the hot tea - I think it's a sesame blend and it's DELICIOUS! The owners are a husband and wife combo; the wife does the serving and the husband designs the delicacies. They have Japanese specials written on the walls and from what I've heard, they're awesome little treats that you GOTTA try at least once. Overall, Cha-Cha has kept my attention and business - I love bringing people here. :)

It is almost impossible to find authentic little Japanese cafes of the type that you find in San Francisco or Seattle this far East and South. They do it all right, from the little yellow signs plastered over the walls with specials, to the freshness and authenticity of the food. Try the ramen bowls. The pork one, in particular is out of this world good. Their prices are more than fair. Tucked away in a strip mall, you will have to look for it because they don't have a big sign over the place, just on the doors. Even though it may not look like much, once you taste the food you'll know why it's a destination eatery if you like real-deal Japanese cafe cuisine.

Food: it's hit and miss for me. Atmosphere: very small space, looks more like a take out place with little seating. Service: friendly but slow Price: too high for their portions (except for their sushi, I have no desire to try them) Overall: it's a "must try once" kind of place if you don't mind paying for pricey ramen! Came here a few of times and finally decided to write a review. Food is good, not too bad. I've had their ramen in both pork based and soy before, pork based wasn't flavored enough despite it looking like a very well made broth, there just wasn't enough taste. As for the soy based ramen, it was absolutely sweet, terribly sweet like it had a whole ladle full of sugar in a dark broth of soy. I have yet to try their sushi, but I honestly have no desire to whatsoever. One thing that I've already enjoyed is their grilled squid, it's delicious with a lightly gingered sweet and tangy sauce, and a side of jap mayo. Overall, service was alright, a bit slow when there are other customers bc it's always only one person in the front, but then again it's a really small "take out" looking place, not a very well serviced sit down restaurant. Prices are actually a bit hefty in my opinion... For something cheap like ramen and veg and 2 paper thin slices of ramen lands you around $11.50. Just a lunch with my boyfriend and I landed us around $50 excluding tip. I'd def come back if their prices weren't so high or closer to me!

I've visited Cha-Cha twice and loved the food! Service was great. The prices are good with no lack in quality. We love sushi a lot and we're used to paying high prices for it, but not at Cha-Cha! Be sure to try out the Cha-Cha and Mexican Rolls. This place is definitely one of those "local" places you can count on for good food at a reasonable price, time and time again.

I am a self admitted Ramen junky and I was spoiled all these years with the amazing options in NYC and Philly. I set out to find my FL counterpart and Cha Cha wins the award. It's not the greatest bowl I've ever had but it is BY FAR the best I have had anywhere in Florida (and I've been on the hunt). The staff is extremely welcoming. I've customized my order a number of ways (add spice, request noodles hard, etc) and they never bat an eye. This is a regular lunch spot at least once a week for my coworkers and I.

Cha-cha at first is a bit underwhelming. You walk in and see only at 6-7 tables, so if you're expecting to take a large group of friends here, just pick your top 4 best friends to go the first time, then bring the others for round 2. The menu is simple enough featuring some quite traditional Japanese items such as a beautiful agedashi tofu and of course (to those who are less daring to order the pork belly appetizer) there is the usual gyoza and shumai. This place said Ramen house in front so I suggest you go with the Ramen here, but if that's not your jive they feature a full kitchen menu, sushi, sashimi, a variety of bento specials, and Katsu entrees. I got the tonkatsu Ramen with grilled vegetables and added an extra slice of roast pork, just because I was especially hungry. It didn't take long at all to get this out. Appetizers came out about 10 mins after ordering - pork belly was thinly sliced notes of soy, citrus, and that yummy pork belly take that is just epic. The agedashi tofu was a nice size portion of tofu cubes in a sweet/salty broth. It was nicely seasoned and melted in your mouth. Shortly after I finished my trip with the appetizers, my piping hot Ramen came out. It was honestly beautiful. Beautiful slices of roast pork, grilled vegetables that look crisp and fresh and a very nice looking broth that looked creamy and so inviting. Taste the broth first and get that flavor profile in your head, because it the thing that sets the tone for your entire meal. A well seasoned broth that is pork based is what holds this Ramen together. Fresh noodles, vegetables and great cuts of pork is everything. You can tell that they know what they are doing in the kitchen and have carefully crafted their version of Ramen in the most epic way possible. Come here, try out what they have to offer, then come back again to try something new. If you also have some dietary restrictions, I feel like their menu is diverse enough where you can still eat happy and get the level of quality that I did. Eating is about the experience. It's about getting transported to another culture and if you love Japan you'll love going here. So what if it's a small place? Some of the best meals I have had is from a small kitchen and a table for one. Go here. What are you waiting for?

Husband & wife run this place. Such a friendly couple! Food is incredible! I always ask the wife what's new to try! I love the authentic dishes written in Japanese along with the tv! When it's busy, this poor woman tries to wait & bus all be herself! So be patient! Its a place I go by myself when I'm stressed and need to get away. LOVE their hot barley & green tea.

I've had "real ramen" in LA and have been hungry for it ever since so i used my yelp app and searched Ramen and found this place. My family lives in the area so my step dad and I came here for dinner one night. The service was odd our waiter was so timid and not especially helpful but we ordered a couple rolls and the ramen he said most people like with pork. The ramen broth was good, the noodles may have been slightly undercooked and i was sad that there were pork slices only. No egg, no veggies. Maybe we ordered wrong. I might go back here but am likely still on the hunt for ramen in palm beach county.

I went to this joint based on previous favorable Yelp reviews and left scratching my head. "Awesome", "Wonderful"??? What are these people talking about? The sushi I ordered was all rice you needed a microscope to find anything resembling a piece of fish. It was pathetic. After ordering my 3rd roll, I brought this to the waiters attention because I expect there to be fish in the sushi rolls. I even opened the entire roll apart to show him but he still insisted that they put fish in the roll. What a joke. I would never go back to this "AMAZING" place (Thanks Liz M.) I tried to give this place 2 stars but could find the courage. I was really hoping for a good sushi restaurant. Maybe they just have good ramen noodles. I don't know!

Cha Cha is our little local gem. Family run, from Dad in th kitchen to mom & daughters waiting tables (Even their son, who is a PBC Cop, helps out occassionally). No sushi bar, which is a downer, but good, soild Sushi. They also have a lot of truly Japanese dishes, like Tako Balls, and great authentic Ramens. Pretty good specials, great for an inexpensive lunch, and Sapporo on DRAFT! Its kind of like an Izakaya in Japan, but wish it had more of the bar feel that true izakaya's have!

Great little authentic Japanese restaurant. It's definitely small, only a few tables inside and a few more outside, but the location is out of view of the main road, so there's rarely much of a wait. The food is good, the service is friendly and we had a great time.

Talk about finding a gem in the middle of nowhere. Royal Palm Beach is not known for awesome food so when my buddy told me that a new Japanese restaurant opened up around the corner from where I live, I had to try it out. Now, there are your sushi places and hibachi spots in the area, but nothing like this. This place serves classic Japanese fare and does it well. The first thing that caught my eye was the Yakitori/Kushi-Yaki selection. If you don't know what this is, it's tiny bits of meat or veggies skewered and grilled with sauce. Good stuff. My buddy and I ordered quite a few different kinds including Karubi (short rib), Negima (Chicken and scallions), and Hatsu (Chicken Heart). These were all grilled beautifully and tasted great with the sake that we had. One thing that stood out in our long list of ordered items was the Onigiri. The flavour just came right out. Each kernel of rice was properly prepared and the seasoning inside is a gentle combination of shredded nori bits and salt. These were so good that I ordered two just for myself. We finished the night off with an order of sashimi. Each piece of fish was generously portioned. The quality was very good. I must say that those Onigiri still have my mouth watering...must go back for more. As far as dining area is concerned, it's a small spot. Great for a small party or a date. The waitress was incredibly attentive and service was just wonderful. I plan on making this place my regular hangout.

Went to dinner here last night with my girlfriend and two friends of ours. We decided to try it because of the good reviews on Yelp. It was AMAZING. The food was very reasonable - a great value. I had a green salad ($2), gyoza ($5), a spicy tuna roll ($6), the Cha-Shu Men [pork] ramen bowl ($9), and a bottle of Hana Awaka sake ($9). The ginger dressing on the salad was great. The gyoza were some of the best I've ever had - not too squishy but not dry - and the sauce was fantastic. Just the right amount of spice and flavor, not at all heavy. The spicy tuna roll was simple and perfect - just the way it ought to be. The ramen bowl was HUGE and delicious. Extremely flavorful, not too salty, noodles just right, pork was tender and not fatty at all. I took half of it home for lunch today (and it's still just as good reheated!) - it's easily two portions in a single bowl. It's a tiny place - I think only 2 4-tops and 3 or 4 2-tops. We came at 8, stayed til almost 10, and never felt rushed at all. Service was fantastic and everything came quickly. The best Japanese food I've had in a long, long time. We will definitely be going back often.

Not just the old boring sushi. Real authentic Japanesse food from Tokyo. Best in town. This is Not a sushi joint. Don't go for sushi. It's good but not great. What is Great is the Real food from Japan. There is no other place like this around that serves this type of food. You must go with an open mind not looking for American sushi but a real Japanesse experience

I recommend this place to everyone I can. We go here often and have tried a large portion of the menu. Have never had anything I didn't love. Some of my favorites include the katsudon, dumplings, and the dragon roll is the best roll I've ever eaten. The prices are good especially for the quality and quantity. The owner is one of the nicest and most accommodating people. Do not pass this place up!!

  • guido s.

Okay, this place is tiny inside. The food is incredible though - very authentic compared to most of the other 'sushi' places around. Prices are great for the portions (large!). The interior again is very small and kinda bad in a lot of ways. There's all these boxes and storage crap behind the counter. It's actually pretty bad and needs to be organized. I would tell the owners, but they're just too dang nice. Food is more than good enough for me to overlook these major flaws however. But this isn't really a great date restaurant, not very romantic. But if you want some killer Japanese food, and could careless about the style inside, go here! The menu has a lot more to offer than a typical Japanese restaurant, so have at it. Mom and pop family restaurant at its finest. I love the ramen (non-saturated fat Ramen packed noodles - this is the real stuff), sushi, and lots of vegetarian options.
