Greek Cuisine
Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

Pros: very clean, fresh look to a Greek restaurant. It's not blue and white with the flag waiving around and a framed picture of the Parthenon. Staff was very friendly, well spoken and hospitable. The gyro is amazing. Cons: I had the Olive Tree Dinner for $15.95 with a drink and tax it came to $20. It did come with a cup of soup but served on a paper plate, and no pita, feta, no vegetables either. Small portion and no traditional garnish to the dish. I feel for $16 it should have came with more. Now, I don't claim to be a food critic, but I travel the country, and I live in Chicago with Greek restaurants in every neighborhood and have grown up in Greek homes. Overall, the food was good, just not worth the $$$. This dish should be around $11

Overpriced and unsanitary. Jug labeled "Tap water" is a disgrace ( who wants to drink standing contaminated water) and food temperature violations are unsanitary as well (and could potentially cause feed borne illnesses) according to the Health Dept standards. If you complain, staff is rude except for the cooks. They are pleasant and clean.

I am glad to have found a place here in Florida that serves the real thing and not some imitation, a little pricey but worth the Long Trip down from Titusville....

The Best Gyro Sandwich in town. Service is Great and I would Highly recommend this restaurant. Well worth the price.

So delicious, affordable, clean, and friendly. The chicken gyros are the bomb and my hubby always get the falafel pita sandwich. He said it's the best he's ever eaten. My one and only whine is that their Greek salad is a tad on the small side for the price they charge.

Regularly eat lunch here. Love this place. Hands down my favorite Greek restaurant in town. Big portions, quality ingredients, quick service. Only con is the confusing ordering set up. Favorite is the gyro lunch with the salad.

I have been super excited about the Olive Tree opening in the Avenues Viera. Driving by the past couple of months ever since the sign went up for the grill, and they are finally open. I was told they officially opened on Tuesday the 22nd of April. The staff are super friendly and the Gyro I purchased was fantastic. If you are looking for a quaint greek eatery with friendly service and great food, look no further than the Olive Tree Greek Grill.

I'll keep this straight forward for those who appreciate serious straight forward reviews. This is a casual atmosphere. You order at the register and seat yourself. Expect to pay about $10-$15 per person. Although portions are generous and I recommend sharing an order of fries or dessert to save money unless you have a hearty appetite. I am a hearty eater and I still would share fries. On Feb/2015, I paid $13.36 for a gyro, fries and coke. Refills are free on the do it yourself soda fountain. The atmosphere is bright, airy, with simple yet tasteful decor including traditional greek ocean blue colors, well done tile work and nice quartz dining tables. Food is served in paper/plastic, be it nicer sturdy wears and they take care in food presentation as well. Real silverware is available at the soda counter, with napkins, soda, tea and fresh lemon. They provide packets of ketchup and 3.25 oz. tadziki sauce on the side which is noticeably larger than other vendors who put too much or too little sauce on the sandwich or use only 1-2 oz side solo cups. This is great if you like using this sauce on fries like I do. Common orders are the Greek salad or Gyro. The quality of the food is very good within its class. They use the traditional pita bread, not the grocery store version. They have warming spits to cut the lamb/beef loaf rather than just microwave the frozen strips out of the box. Veggies are always fresh and colorful. I prefer a bit more onion on mine than provided though. You can also have chicken souvlaki, but I recommend the traditional beef/lamb for gyro sandwiches or dinner plates. I am a huge fan of their tadziki sauce, although I spike a little lemon in it on my own which they provide. Other menu items that are also great are the rice pudding and spanikopita aka spinach pie. Although its not high end fancy homemade Greek food, it was well prepared and tasty in its own right. Dollar for dollar and all else considered, it is higher quality than most restaurants in its class. I challenge you to try to find a better rice pudding or tadziki sauce even at fine dining establishments. Their customer service is great. They operate multiple registers, bring your food out to your table, make rounds and offer to refill soda for you. Table cleaning and turn over is well attended also. If you want to break the fast food cycle, or are not sure where to go and do not want a typical table service wait experience, this is an excellent restaurant that offers casual quick or a relaxed dining feel depending on your mood. i am a critical guy and I can talk for hours on most restaurant failures from service to food quality and I found it hard to criticize this place. I am a repeat customer and this is my trump card for dining at a casual yet easy restaurant. For those that think $10-$15 for this is high, try going to a chain store, fast food restaurant or grocery store and see what prices are lately, its spot on for its location, Viera Avenues and quality.

Really great food and affordable at the avenue. Had the Gyro and combo platter and both were good with ample portions.

So being from NYC I know what great greek food tastes like. With greek friends who's mothers cook amazing lamb to greek restaurants who's food is dazzeling. Here you get more of the same local fails when it comes to Greek food. Seriously how do you screw up a gyro??? I can make them at home way better. Their bread is hard as a rock. The meat was tough and greasy, completely unacceptable. The stuffed grape leaves had a strange flavor to them. So strange I couldnt finish even one. Stuffed grape leaves too is a simple dish and getting this wrong makes me wonder...Do they know what greek food really tastes like? Even a mall restaurant should be able to get these two dishes right but obviously thats asking too much.

By far my favorite greek place. I'm not a professional Greek enthusiast but this is delicious and I am picky. Garlic sauce is to die for. Steak is flavorful. Quick, easy, affordable

Nothing fancy, but good food, friendly service, and a clean attractive interior. Loved the gyro and the dolmades.

Great food and service. I tried the shish kebab dinner with lamb and it was amazing. The lamb was tender and cooked perfectly. The grilled veggies and rice pilaf compliment the lamb really well. This place has a nice ambiance and the cost of food is very reasonable too.

Hit the spot! I'm not from the area but i haven't had gyros like this some i lived in chicago. Was a little hesitant because of the rating but it was great. My wife and mother in law were on strict diets and olive tree pleasantly catered to there needs.

Came here for lunch and it was great! I had the traditional Gyro and my wife had the Greek salad. Both were very good. Perhaps there are better Gyros in the other Greek restaurants in Brevard County, but this one was very good, fast and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and helpful, we both liked the little touches like the fresh flowers on the table, and not using styrofoam. We'll come back again.

we had the gyro over salad two days in a row! It was that good. The avgolemeno (sp) soup was yummy and I like I could get it any day instead of only one day a week at other greek restaurants. Portions are great. Staff very nice and helpful. My husband said... "We have found a new great place to eat." Doesn't feel like fast food. Great job. Will be back!!!!!

Great place for casual dining and delicious food! My husband and I have eaten here twice (once for lunch and once for dinner). My husband loves the gyro sandwich which you can see the cook shave straight off the spit. I like the open kitchen as so you can see the food is made fresh to order. I feel prices are reasonable for fresh, good quality, made to order food. It's a owned by a local family and I'm happy to patronize their place. Last night I ordered the chicken shish-kabob dinner which included choice of Greek salad or lemony egg soup. The soup was sensational! The dinner came with rice pilaf and grilled veggies. The chicken was a little dry on the outside but quite tasty. It's an enjoyable, clean, efficient place and a good addition to The Avenue. Give it a try!

I had such an urge for a good falafel. I ordered the falafel sandwich and it was just okay. I expected more flavor and better quality. There was more lettuce than falafel in the pita. The sauce was okay. Oh well. At least I tried it. May try another item on the menu, but not rushing back.

Rude people, dishonest company. At the beginning of June, we were duped by the sign outside of the restaurant saying if you sign up for the email list you will receive 25% off of your "next" order. To both my husband and myself, "next" means the order immediately following signing up. We were told by the unfriendly cashier that there was a "processing time" and that we would receive the discount within a couple days. We ordered anyways. I looked forward to returning and using my discount for my next meal. Fast forward to today, we drove the 35 minutes to get to the restaurant from our house and when I look at the coupon I see that it expired about 2 weeks after I received it, not enough time for us to make the trip over and actually use it. I went into the restaurant, explained the situation to the cashier, and was given another rude response, "it has to be used by the expiration date". I said thanks and left. This company is deceptive and shows no concern for the customers. It's a shame because I normally love Greek food and was hoping to have more options in Brevard, but this place is not worth it. Will not return.

Wow. My wife and I just had wonderful gyros, lamb and beef, with tzatziki sauce. The pita was fresh baked, just the right amount of lettuce, onions and oh my God is it delicious. We also had a side Greek salad with the most awesome greek vinaigrette dressing made ever! I am so happy, good prices, excellent quality, best restaurant for miles. Blows away all others at the Avenue Mall. I now have a new favorite restaurant. We met the owner, Mike, his family has the same restaurant in Long Island, 30 years now. No wonder their all fresh ingredient dishes are so good. I recommend this place very highly.

I've seen their coming soon sign up for a while and I was anxious to try it now that it's been open for a couple weeks. I got the gyro sandwich. The food is tasty, the staff is friendly and the environment is calm and clean. It's a really great addition to the Avenues. I'm looking forward to my next visit and trying something new!

My friend and I stopped in the other day for lunch. The restaurant is clean and bright. The staff very attentive and friendly. Nice menu. We had the gyro over greek salad and the chicken over greek salad. Both were very, very good -- plenty of meat and the salad was actually the best greek salad I have ever had and I have been to Greece many times. Will be back!

Tried Chicken Gyro. Very good food. People taking the order were very friendly. This is a place where you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Fancy place it is not. Good casual place, reasonable price and good food. Like someone else commented, it is a great addition to the Avenues. I would go there again.

Ok so in my first review I mention that the food is pretty good. I also mentioned that the prices are too high. In return I got a reply from either the manager and/or owner telling me about email discounts. I thought this would fix the problem, but I guess not. Apparently like many companies, they are going to nickel and dime you for things that can't possibly cost the company fractions of a penny. Example: an Olive Tree sandwich claims to be a Greek salad combined with a Gyro. Ok so all Greek salads I've ever had include olives and peppers. Not here. Those will cost you about $1 each as a side item. Well then why falsely claim that my sandwich has the salad ingredients in it??? The answer... So we can charge you more after you've realized some of the stuffings are missing. Note the salad picture on the menu includes lots more than the sandwich. So my already expensive $9 sandwich now becomes $11+. And don't get me started on dressings. That will set you back too. Maybe the Subway $5 option with all the fixin's is the better deal :-(
