Penny Hill Beach Emporium surprised me!! I went there yesterday for the second time and I love this little deli and oddity store. They sell sea shells, paintings of Mermaids, beer and the most wonderful sandwiches. There is an amazing sandwich menu over the deli area and they offer a lot of choices. A week or 2 ago while visiting the beach we stopped in and got a Gyro and a Philly Cheese Steak sub. The gyro was nothing to rave about but the Philly Cheese Steak was delicious. We were visiting parks in the area and decided to stop in yesterday. They have some seating outside and it is dog friendly. Even a cool thatched roof over a picnic table. Monica got the small Reuben Sub on Whole Wheat and I got the Muffuletta Sub. Monica said hers was great. My Muffuletta was outstanding!!! I never heard of Muffuletta so here is what the sign said: Muffuletta (the Famous New Orleans Sub) ham, salami, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, med-hot peppers, blended oils, vinegar, salt, pepper and the special muffuletta (our secret olive mixture). Wow!! That Muffuletta kicked my socks off!! What a great combination of flavors! The bread here is great too. I also spied a big pickle and got that and it was great with the sandwiches. We were able to get some beers and have them outside with our sandwiched. The service here has been friendly and helpful both times I came here. This place is the type of Mom and Pop place I love - great food, great service and lots of choices. It is right by the beach - great place to get sandwiches for the beach or to have on the way in or out of the beach. (they have limited parking also) I've posted photos. I will return.

So nice to walk in with no shirt, no shoes and get a good sandwich and ice cream. Not a busy shop. Not an overly friendly sandwich girl but a good Italian nevertheless.

A great small town drop. Cute tourist stuff for Wabasso beach and great sandwiches for an easy meal. Right next to Vero!

This place is fabulous. Pretty much any thing you are looking for- they probably have. Their deli food is all always amazing. Sandwiches are huge, kids always have numerous choices from mac and cheese to corn dogs.

GREAT deli sanwiches + a small beach market (from surfboard wax to wine). The same Penny Hill subs from Vero Beach, now in the old "Boppy's" on the beach at A1A & CR512 (opposite the Disney Resort). Fresh bread daily and fresh made to order food (including soup & salads), even breakfast at 6am. A great place to stop at the beach or on the way to or from. Two Thumbs Up!

Small corner liquor store and deli. Got a club sandwich and a healthy veggie sandwich. Both were very good. They bake their bread daily which is the key to a good sandwich. Got plenty of drinks (including beer) to choose from to wash your meal down. Very convenient location right on the beach front to help start your picnic off on the right foot. Will visit again next time in Vero.
