Our group of 5 arrived for our 6PM reservation and were seated promptly. The food left much to be desired. There is no choice of sides, just garlic mashed potatoes and mushrooms with the entrée. The bread came first - one tiny thin slice per person. My prime rib had little flavor and was quite fatty. They did bring horseradish when requested. The 5 little button mushrooms from the can were OK. Everyone left the mashed potatoes. One would think the kitchen would get the hint when things are returned uneaten. Our service was good. The décor is a nightmare...very oriental as you enter and then blah. We were all amused at the pictures on the walls. Big framed faded no theme stuff that they must have bought from Bargain Barn .For what we got, the prices were outrageous.

We were 3 couples dining at Pavilion this evening and had a strange experience. I have never been to an Asian restaurant of any type that has refused to off extra rice!!! I paid $ 2.50 extra for brown rice instead of white and when I asked for a little more our waitress told me no. I couldn't believe my ears and she asked if I would like to speak to the manager. I said yes and he came out and said no extra rice. I had paid an extra 2.50 and couldn't get enough rice to finish my meal. That will be the last visit for the 6 of us.

"From an informal group lunch or dinner, to a refined dining event, the professionals at The Pavilion Grill will provide a truly memorable experience. Our expert co-ordination will ensure your special day or event will exceed your expectations". The quote is from their website and nothing could be further from the truth. This recent addition to the Venice restaurant scene has turned into a huge disappointment. After out third visit it is our last. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They have no idea about service or customer satisfaction. Twenty minutes for your cocktail, your entrée arrives before your salad and by the way we just forgot the appetizer completely so bring it with the entrée. All we can hope for is that this place will close soon so that something better will take its place.

3 of our party of 4 had steak for dinner (2 prime ribs and a ribeye). The prime rib was cooked as ordered, as was the ribeye, and we all enjoyed our meals greatly. The 4th member decided to have 3 appetizers for dinner. We all left the restaurant with our appetites saciated, our thirsts quenched, and happy to have had the experience. The owner keeps an eye on everything and you can tell by the physical appearance of the establishment and the performance of the staff. No slackers serving you here. After dining at The Pavilion Grill on several occasions, our experience has been consistently good. I would not have ever tried the steak (even-tho they advertise it as a steakhouse), but during one of our initial visits a member of our party insisted that we give it a try. Ever since my wife has only had steak dishes there and is one of the few places in the area where she does so. It is definitely a must try dining destination.

My family and I ate at the pavillion grill this evening and we were very pleased. Our fried calamari was delicious ( most restaurants over cook calamari making it tough and inedible) and cooked perfectly as it was very tender. I had the lobster bisque which was delicious served hot. I had the grilled scallops which were fresh and also cooked to perfection. I finished up with the fudge delight alamode which was not overly sweet so you could still taste the chocolate. My son and husband both had the filet mignon which was cooked exactly to their specification. They report that the steak was delicious. The presentation of all the dishes were beautiful and the service was great. The ambiance was relaxing. It's nice to go out to a restaurant and actually hear each other speak! We will definitely be back!

The owner of this establishment is a micro management boss gone wild! We made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner and expected that we would be seated in a comfortable location within the resturant. The boss apparently made a decision to squash all those with similar reservation in a confined area next to the rest rooms and kitchen access . Well, as might be expected the odor emanating from the TOILETS and the traffic from the kitchen area made a pleasant occasion unpleasant. Beyond that discomfort, the military like portions of food were obvious that MISS MICROMANAGER was doing everything in her capacity to maximize profits. The clearly demonstrated attitude was offensive. Though we have eaten here in the past and the experience has never been this disappointing, it is obvious that this place suffers from MOM AND POPITIS!

20 minutes for water, a frazzled waitress (Michele) and the female manager openly argues with her in the middle of the dining room. Appetizers and both meals (chicken and shrimp Pad Thai) lukewarm, but otherwise food was good (not stellar). Kind of pricey for the portion size. Several better options in Venice, "but now we know.
