We are year around folks and have seen a number of different owners in this location. Shamrock is outstanding as you will note because you may have to wait to get seated. It matters not if it is breakfast, lunch or dinner the meals are great and the prices are reasonable. Waitress are friendly and professional.

I normally don't frequent restaurants like Shamrock Cafe because the menu is boring. My husband and I had lunch there yesterday and it was very good. Took another couple there this morning for breakfast and I had their pumpkin pancake. It was very good. If you like good old fashion hearty food this is the place to go. The wait staff is very friendly. Chrisie was our waitress, friendly and a sense of humor. We will be back as we live here year round and will go often.

One of my go to places when I don't know what I want. I love the Friday night fish fry. Wait staff knows it's regulars as evidenced by having our beverages on the table as we sit down. Burgers are also good and love their breakfasts. Witnessed a very rude customer giving staff a hard time and the waitress was professional and kind. I know she got stiffed in her tip but she handled it well. So glad this place is making it when the 3 previous places all lasted less than a year here.

I really like this place. I have never had a bad meal here. It is a small and busy place. The wait staff is always friendly, which is always a good thing. It can be a wait getting your food sometimes, busy or not, but the staff always lets you know that it is coming up next. I never feel ignored when I come here and I always clean my plate, because it is good food. But be warned, if you come on the day they are having the liver and onions special, eww , it will be packed. Just a nice little place.

Yum! Stopped here on our way to the beach. At first was a little leary because it looks homey. But we loved the Irish theme and the food was delicious. I got the Irish french toast and could only finish half of it. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito but it was more like a wrap -which he actually preferred. It looked really good too. We are really happy with the prices, too. $21 for two breakfasts, coffee, tea and oj.

We had been looking forward to eating at the Shamrock Cafe since reading the reviews, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is very clean, the waitress was super attentive, and the food was very good. I had the breakfast BLT with home fries, and my husband had the meat lover's omelet. We enjoyed the meal, and will definitely go back again.

My family had been customers here every Saturday for about 2 months. And being vegetarian in a restaurant with little to no vegetarian dishes sometimes we have to be creative. Most restaurants are more than accommodating and will go out of their way especially if the menu is lacking non-meat and/or non-fish choices. My mother ordered a grilled cheese on 5 grain bread with tomato and mayo every time we ate here. One night our waitress came out after had ordered, slammed our drinks down and said "this is the last time we are making this for you." It was humiliating, embarrassing and rude. If there was a problem with making the sandwich the problem should have been addressed the day we ordered it. Even then if the owner had a problem with us ordering it it would have been a little more professional to deal with the problem face to face rather than sending an employee out to be as rude as she was about it. We will never return but that goes with out saying. I'm giving this place one star because this incident ruined the whole experience for me. Before this incident I would give this establishment 3 stars. An average rating for mediocre food, bellow average customers service, and lack of flexibility in the already lacking menu.

This has become one of our favorite eateries in Venice. Small and friendly with great food. Even if you have to wait a bit for a table, it is worth it.

This is a very busy cafe, be sure to go early! My two brothers-in-law and I go every Thursday between 11 and 11:45am (guess that we might be considered regulars). By the time that we leave, the place is packed! This is a locals place, it is a couple of minutes off 41 on Shamrock. The staff is friendly and you will usually hear them greet at least a couple of customers by name during your meal. You don't do the kind of business that they do with area residents if: (a) your food is not consistently good or (b) you are over charging. I can honestly say that I do not remember being disappointed with the food. Not that I'm saying it hasn't happened (I sure that it has), it just is so rare that I don't remember. I also don't remember leaving hungry, that I would remember! I have had lunch with my brothers-in-law there, then went to dinner there with my wife. It is a 20 minute drive each way for us and we pass a ton of places to eat along US 41, having eaten at most of them over the years. But sometimes you just feel like having what the Shamrock Cafe has to offer.

Such a lovely neighborhood restaurant! Everyone who works there is cheerful. I had a fried cod sandwich, which came with homemade tartar sauce. It was huge, fresh, and delicious. My husband had a turkey wrap special with homemade cranberry sauce and stuffing on it... Mmmm. Great fries, cole slaw, macaroni salad, and you get a ridiculous amount of quality food for the money. If we get a chance to go back before we leave town, I want to try the key lime pie.

Fresh liver, onions and bacon with a baked potatoes!!! Nothing better, great atmosphere, excellent service, cannot wait to go again. There are so many other things I want to try: Southwestern Chicken, Chili Cheese Fries, Turkey Dinner. Large variety of salads, homemade soups, and the prices are so reasonable. Call for reservations! It gets busy.

I must agree with all the GREAT reviews this place has gotten. I too am a year round resident, and I agree that this place is so popular it is usually packed. But the food is outstanding, and well worth the wait. I highly recommend it!

If your looking for a great café off the beaten path in a great neighborhood look no further. This is by far the best family owned, friendly place. If anyone has given less then 5 Stars for this gem they it's them not the place. I have been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and never had a bad meal or service.

Great service. It was full but we were given seats at the bar. You can make reservations ahead of time. Good food. Got the fish fry and it was only $9. Dad wasn't crazy about the grouper that was $17. House beer on tap is only $1 for ten ounce or $1.60 for a pint. I'll definitely go back.

Had lunch at this charming little cafe a few weeks back. The service was great and the food was fresh and well prepared. The menu is small and simple and reasonably priced. Loved it!

Had breakfast with friend ordered Belgium waffle with apples, cinnamon, and whipped cream. Waffle was light and crispy...very good. Friend ordered cranberry walnut pancake, eggs & toast & remarked her food was very good. Variety of menu selections, clean, and friendly staff. Nice to have a neighborhood bar in Venice. Have returned 3 different times, consistently good. Cheeseburger platter good, eggplant fries. Entertainment Saturday night (female singer).

As a New Englander I'll go out of my way for biscuits and gravy when I'm down south. Shamrock Cafe is great. Perfectly done, reasonably priced, clean and plenty if character.

I try to make this a Sunday ritual for breakfast. Anything I've ordered this far has been great. The staff is super friendly as well. Such a great place for a home style meal with a cozy atmosphere.

GREAT Neighborhood Cafe! We both had cheeseburgers and fries. True half pounder...very tasty. We will frequent the Shamrock Cafe for all three meals. Staff is very friendly.

I've been there a few times. The last time was the best. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which came w/homefries. Homefries came with skin on which I love and everything was delicious. Plenty of food and reasonable price for what you get. Service was right on. I'm glad I went back.

Great neighborhood place. They have a cozy bar in the back and great food. We had dinner there New Year's Eve. Lobster stuffed mushrooms, melt in your mouth filet, and house wine only $2.50 a glass.

Great little cafe worth the trip. Tuesday is burger specials. Delicious hamburgers. Also ate breakfast there and it was very good.
