This place (dare I say it) makes a better sub than Publix. I've been going here for about 15 years and the quality has always been top notch and consistent. I get the spicy bird, 16 inches for less then $8. Can't beat that. And the staff is always super friendly. Come here for lunch. You won't regret it.

Ive been to this sub shop about 3-4 times in the last 2 years. They have pretty good subs. I always get the Spicy Bird. The bread is soft and fresh and they slice the meat fresh to order. The prices are reasonable and what you'd expect. Pretty tasty sandwiches. HOWEVER.... The staff are unfriendly and cold. They are efficient, but non-friendly. Everytime Ive been in to eat, the youngish, brunette girl never smiles or asks "how are you?" Shes ALL BUSINESS. Basically, none of the staff seem to have any inkling of basic customer service. The big, muscle bound kid (too much time at the gym) with dark beard said nothing when I thanked him for making the sandwich and cashing me out---Not a "your welcome" or "enjoy" or anything. This is customer service 101 and theyre too cool for school. When we went to leave, I again said "thank you" and AGAIN, cold silence from "Lou Ferrigno". Odd. **He either knows the owner or was singing a friendlier tune when he got hired. Also, theres a strange, unpleasant odor inside Obees....a musty, mildewy odor. It was better this time than in times past, so they're working on it. Bottom line: neither the odor nor the lame service will stop me from going to Obees because their subs are good.

Pretty good little sandwich shop. Everything seems fresh enough, and it's made to order in front of you. The bread was soft and the portion sizes were about average. The only negative was the fact that the staff was so severe and unfriendly that my grandmother actually scolded them and told them all to smile. lol

I loooove Obees. They are a part of this town. Best place (besides corporate Publix) to get subs and more!!

They offer 8" and 16" inch subs. I had the 8" Turkey and cheese. The bread was soft (a plus in my book) and the toppings were great. My two companions split a 16" Cheesesteak and claimed that it was great. The service is friendly and the fountain drinks are only $1.

Went to Obees recently when I was vacationing in Venice, and wow! They made some great sandwiches. Love how they cut the meat for each order. As a previous poster said, this is MUCH better quality than Subway. We tried several versions of their Italian sub, plus one tuna sub, and two bowls of soup (french onion and broccoli cheese). The sandwiches were all to our liking. The French onion soup was also good. However, the broccoli cheese was pretty bland and flavorless (oh well, can't win 'em all). On the whole, though, it's a great place, and they will make substitutions for meats you don't like (I swapped cappicola for pepperoni, no problem). Nice customer service. I will be back!

Amazing hoagies. They cut the meat and cheese to order. Spicy Italian was the best I've ever had.

Whenever I visit Venice, I make a point to get an Obee's sub. Their meats are cut fresh when you order. The subs are 8" and 16", which seem to be better sizes than 6" and 12". The staff is always friendly.

Small time Subway. Sterile environment. No reason to back.

By far the best cold subs in town. They slice the meat and cheese to order and put plenty on the sandwich. One large sub is enough for two to four people. If you go to Subway instead, you're out of your mind.

So delicious!!! The Obee's on the island is close to the high school and was definitely the place to go for lunch. Amazing subs and salads!
