Out of all the Chinese take out establishments in this area this by far is my favorite one. Their fried crab rangoons are so good its ridiculous. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves Chinese take out.

Golden Bowl sits at the heart of Valrico, right next to the lithia Publix. It's one of many Chinese restaurants that inhabit the area. At first glance, It doesn't look like anything special, but that's until you try their food. Decor/Atmosphere For a regular take out place, Golden Bowl doesn't really have anything impressive about the decor. The Atmosphere is about what you would expect from his kind of restaurant Food Golden Bowl has a cookie cutter take-out menu (sweet and sour chicken, General Tso etc...), but their true strength lies in the execution of those dishes. I can honestly say that I have never disappointed with anything I have received there. The food tastes like it has been freshly made everyday. Prices the prices are decent. If you were to go there, I would recommend going there around lunch time. They have a lunch special that would carry you through dinner. Owners The owners are always nice when we stop by. they always have a smile on their face. they have gotten to know us so well at this point. Recommendation I highly recommend Golden Bowl if you're just looking for good take-out Chinese.

I can throw down with some orange chicken. Shoot, let's be honest...I've been known to go double orange on occasions. Golden Bowl is really delicious. And Fresh. They make everything to order, which is rare at $8 a combo. It's a tiny little dining area...and really not suited to dine in...so call ahead about 15 minutes. There is a great little liquor store next door if you need some sake or good beer.

Awesome food and sweet people that work there. I can go months without ordering and the girls up front always remembers me when I come in. Haven't found a better place than this!

After living here for 10 months and trying around 6 different Chinese places, I think I finally found my goto place! Egg rolls are fresh, crab rangoon is good, and all of our meals were hot and delicious! Definitely worth the time to pick it up :)

They don't deliver, however worth the 15 min drive to pick up. Prices are inline with other take out places.

My husband and I have been eating here for years. It is the best for the price, the service is always friendly and the food is delicious. I have their # programmed in my phone.

I read the inspection report today after eating here a week a little over a week ago, so maybe they made changes since the inspection, because the food was the best I've had since I've been in Florida. I tried another place tonight because of the lady who mentioned the inspection but there was no comparison and I feel like puking it up. Golden Bowl was super fresh with the best spring rolls ever! I think I will just brave it and go back here next time.

This is our go to place for Chinese food. I have never had a bad dish and they will make anything to order. Great people and even better food.

On a whim I decided to try this place since I wanted Chinese food and was in the area. OMG what a mistake! The first question I asked was if they use MSG, the lady said no so I decided to order a combo. If you are looking for a place that is sheer quantity then this place is for you if you don't mind what it tastes like. Can you just say, "It tastes like burning!". I mean I understand for the price it is not going to be the best tasting ever, but at least taste something more than the fuel that fires the wok. The BBQ pork tasted like some fatty something, the fried rice tasted like fueled rice, the lo mien was noodles covered in lard, and the cream cheese won tons were burned on the outside and semi-frozen on the inside. I tried to finish, but even with all the years I ate MREs in the Army and the bad chow I ate there I believe that I have experienced the worst food I have ever ate. To make things worse she lied on the MSG, about 30 minutes later I got a major headache because of the MSG in the food. Some people absolutely love this place, I just don't see how.

Absolutely the best Chinese food in Valrico. We eat there at least once a week. Great service, great food quality and price. Everything is fresh - especially the chicken. The Hot and Sour and Won Ton soups are excellent. We prefer the Gen Tso's Chicken, just the right amount of spice. The Sesame Chicken is a hit with my daughter. Don't experiment with the other Chinese restaurants by Wal-Mart or KFC. Golden Bowl is the place to eat!

Good chinese food at a good price. Their combo meals are enough to feed 2 people. Service is friendly too.

Well, I'm not sure if something has changed (owners/food purveyor, etc), but reading the reviews about this place set a pretty high bar for me when placing my to-go order over the phone. I just moved over to this side of town, so I was hoping that I would have a go-to Chinese food place that I could frequent, as I have a penchant for good Asian. Just walking into the place immediately left me second guessing. It was a Friday night, so I assumed that the place would be busy, again because of the raving revues I'd just read. The place was completely empty and I only saw the one guy at the front. He was very friendly and accommodating, so I tried to stay positive. He turned and shouted something to the back, and another guy appeared who began heating food up in a Wok. Couple of minutes went by, and my food was packed nicely and ready to go. So far so good. I got home, curious to see what The Golden Bowl was all about and unpacked everything. I ordered egg rolls (for which the guy at the front said he gave me a few extra for free, which immediately left me wondering as I can't remember EVER getting anything for free at a Chinese food restaurant, but again I tried to stay optimistic), sesame chicken, pork fried rice, and looking to try some other things, got the Curry Chicken and Chicken in garlic sauce. Everything was hot, so I can only assume it was cooked to order, again, another good sign. I started with an egg roll, and this is where things started going south. Everything about the egg roll seemed normal, crispy outside and tasty filling, but they all had this ammonia like odor to them. Like someone had brushed them with Windex, strike 1. Decided to try the Sesame Chicken next, again was hot, and had all the right tastes and textures, but the chicken itself was chewy, rubbery and honestly close to being inedible. A couple of pieces were just pure fat/cartilage that I had to spit out, strike 2. The curry chicken and chicken in garlic sauce were also pretty disappointing, and both wound up in the garbage next to everything else, strike 3. The pork fried rice was the only item worth it's weight, and was good, but really just standard fare when compared to other Chinese food places. All in all, I don't think disappointed even sums up my visit here. I'm trying to justify all of the other reviews on here, and can't help but wonder if a) they have a new, cheap owner (very possible), or b) the people of Valrico haven't a clue about what good, even decent, Chinese food is. Could be both, but if you want to know what good (not epic) Chinese food is, I suggest you endure the drive and visit Yummy House on Hillsborough Avenue. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the ultra friendly guy at the front, and the somewhat decent pork fried rice. Other than that, Golden Bowl would best describe my porcelain podium on the morning after eating here.

Nice little spot next to Publix. Food was pretty good and the menu was like any typical Chinese food menu. Only thing i wasn't fond of was there were kids toys all over the tables so we couldn't sit down at the booth. Workers were friendly too.

First, there is nothing on this menu that sets it apart from any other NY style Chinese takeout place. But, they do a better job of perpetration than any other place in town. The food is very good and is or goto shop for Chinese.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
