Actual visit 8/21/14 - To Go Order. My own off the menu creation of veggie spaghetti with broccoli, mushrooms and spinach with marinara. It was pretty darn good. I would go back for a return visit.

Came here recently for a family dinner while visiting Mount Dora. We were looking for something besides all the seafood we had been having on our trip. This was a great little place. We had a party of 6 and made a reservation for around 7:00pm on a Saturday night. The place wasn't overly crowded so we had a nice quiet corner where we could talk and catch up. The food was very tasty. We ordered the bruschetta and mozzarella stick appetizers. While the cheese sticks weren't bad, I would recommend just getting the bruschetta which was delicious. Although, not your average bruschetta because the put melted mozzarella on it so it really looks and tastes more like flatbread. They also bring out some amazing garlic bread, so make sure you bring some mints for afterwards! For dinner I ordered the baked spaghetti which was your average baked spaghetti but still good. One member of my party ordered the pasta special that they had for the day and that was delicious! I would definitely recommend asking what the specials are! The service was absolutely wonderful! Our server was very attentive and knowledgable. She always made sure we had refills on our drinks and answered our menu questions very well. We were able to make substitutions and changes with ease.

Wife and I stopped for a nice Sunday dinner. The place was very busy. Our waitress was extremely polite and very sweet. Food was very good. My wife had the gulf shrimp with spaghetti and I had the chicken parm. Portions were good size but not over the top..just enough. We left the place full..no room for their good desserts. Will def go back again. Oh, and it was getting near closing time but people kept coming in and were seated,,,

We came here while we visited Mount Dora because we wanted to get away from the over-priced and over-hyped restaurants there. In fact, if I can't pronounce the ingredients in my food, I really don't need to eat there. :-) This place was great. The food was good but the wait staff was excellent and very attentive. We came in a little early on a Sat (about 6pm) and about the time we were done, it was filled up with a pretty large wait. I would recommend reservations for any time after 6:30 or so. This is a definite must if you want some good italian food at a VERY reasonable price. It doesn't have the atmosphere of the up-scale restaurants but the food is just as good--or better.

We were in town for the antique festival in Mount Dora. We were a party of 6 and everyone disliked their meal. The eggplant Parmesan was cold. The chicken Parmesan was not good. The chicken Angelo had no taste. The appetizers were okay. Everyone liked the fried ravioli. The house salad and greek salad were surprisingly pretty good. I would say this restaurant is a step below Olive Garden. On a positive note, out server was very attentive and nice.

I have been coming to Angelo's for lunch off on for the past 7 years. They have never failed to make me happy. Their prices are reasonable, the entrees, sauces and pizza (they deliver) are all excellent and I can't recommend a meal here fast enough. No disrespect intended but Angelo's has an elaborate dining room that far exceeds what you would expect in Lake County. Very high quality and satisfaction are always on the menu here.

Excellent food, reasonably priced, great service! Good selection of items, and frequently they have specials that are always worth looking into, such as lobster ravioli or lamb shank! We have been eating here regularly for over a year and never been disappointed!

I have been many times to Angelo's for lunch the food was good and nice and hot - I went there today at 4:15 which is supper time - we were the only ones in there - the food was bland I ordered spagw/clams got can clams for 14.00 my quest ordered spag/w meatball and sausage - the sauce was cool and sweet like it came from a can of pizza sauce. If you want a salad it is $3.25 MORE. the waitress was new we saw her once in a while no other person was in here - they have a coupon on the internet for $25.00 off from 4 people they need this - our meal 2 plates of pasta and 1/caraf of wine came to $44.00 - bad food on top of it. I contacted the resturant and told them - and they said sorry. Do not waste your money going here - the food is not good.

I really love Italian food. This place is a hidden gem. Probably the best eats in Lake County. Get the pink sauce. It's amazing!!!! Calzones are super good too.

I've never really been big on Italian restaurants. Usually overpriced for what you are getting, or the food just kinda sucks. Although this place isn't what I call cheap, the food quality was very good and the portions were plentiful. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan with angel hair pasta topped with marinara sauce. Sounds boring but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't know how it compares to other nearby Italian joints since I'm an out of towner, but I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Hosted a corporate banquet here. Venue breached contract and did not offer to refund. Guilt tripped saying their $4.75/hr waitresses would have to pay out of pocket as resolution. Does not take responsibility for mistakes.

We went here with a party of 5 and all of us had something different and we all totally enjoyed our meals. One person had pasta and fish, one had chicken and mushrooms, one had lasagna, one had spaghetti, and I had chicken parm. The portions were large, the food was fresh and the place is very clean. The service was very good and the price was good also for what we got. Very authentic Italian food.

My family and I went to Angelo's when we stayed at the nearby Mission Inn Resort and it was pretty much what we expected - chain-style Italian. The food was nothing to write home about but the waitstaff was very friendly and attentive.

Delicious homemade sauces. We have eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed. Love the garlic knots which are quite large. The wait staff is pleasant and the food comes quickly. A great family atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable.

Well we decided to try this Italian restaurant since we live close by. Honestly, the service was amazing. From the moment you walked in you felt welcomed. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu! the garlic rolls were delicious and our meals were hot and freshly prepared. It was a little expensive but the quality justified the bill. We will be back again!!

Wife and I recently stopped in for dinner. I ordered Calamari in a red sauce over Linguini, tasted as good as my Grandmother's. My wife had baked Zitti she said it was also excellent. We both brought leftovers home, and they were both great the next day. Service was great.

We decided to give this place a try instead of our usual Olive Garden because the reviews were great. It was filled nothing but 80 year olds on a Friday night. Service was extremely slow and food was incredibly bland. They have an old man who sings Italian songs throughout your dinner. He sounds great but is so loud that it's impossible to have a conversation at the dinner table. The decor is cheesy and dated. Lastly, the garlic reviews that all of the other reviews rabe about were not at all flavorful and tasted like cardboard. We will not be returning.

Absolutely wonderful. Couldn't make up my mind so I ordered the combo plate. It was delicious. The sauce is real italian. The garlic knots also delicious. I couldn't stop eating them. Good thing the kitchen was fast or I would have filled up on them. Move over Olive Garden. As long as their is Angelo's I won't be needing you anymore.

One of my all-time favorite restaurants in Lake County Service is usually always good and I have not had anything off the menu that I did like and I've pretty much tried it all my advice try their pasta purses with pink sauce or any of their veal dishes

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
