I like Queens Pizza, I enjoy the food but today's service was.. confusing to say the least. I came in around 7 pm this evening, it as just myself, no one else, and I was shown to a booth. I was given a menu and was told that my waitress would be with me in a moment. OK! There were a few families in the dining room, it was not a horribly busy evening, so when the waitress came to take my order, I gave it fairly simply: An order of their Homemade Spanokipita (Spinach and feta cheese wrapped in phylo dough & baked) and a Gyro no onions with the sauce on the side. And an unsweetened iced tea. Pretty simple and straight forward. When the waitress comes back, she puts the menu down again (?) and 2 iced teas (I'm guessing for my invisible guest?) As she makes a round, I point out that I've already placed my order, and that there is no one joining me, so I'm not sure why she gave me a 2nd tea.. With out an apology or an explanation, the tea and menu were taken away, and the waitress had a very confused look on her face, It probably matched mine. The food came rather quickly. The Spinach & cheese pie was good, it could have used a bit of salt, but other than that, it was just what i wanted. But the Gyro. *sigh* this was a disappointment. I live in a Greek town, I am Greek by birth. When I order a Gyro, I generally expect meat that has been carved off of a spinning spit, that has been slow roasted all day, so there are roasted bits and crunchy bits. What I got was a pita, filled with 5 slices of pre-formed, poorly made, mostly chicken (or that's how it tasted) "gyro" meat. Meat that has never seen a spit or a Gyro roaster. It was mediocre tasting at best.

Waited 70 minutes for a pizza to be delivered and we live 7 minutes away! What a joke. Called to check and they said they were having problems with there drivers....thanks for letting us know....we canceled. We tried them 10 years ago and said we'd never go back because of the disgusting bathrooms....I won't go into details. We should have stuck to our first impression. Go somewhere else to get your pizza fix!

Indifferent. Uninteresting. Unenthused. Everything we ate was just a little too bland, and what flavour there was wasn't that exciting to begin with. Our pizza had way way way too much cheese, and it just formed some adipose congealed mass. Once removed it resembled the liposuction I'd need after eating all of it. The toppings were distributed without any rhyme or reason, and I found several toppings on my side of the pie that I didn't like, as they belonged on the other half. I'm not asking for surgical precision, but at least a little effort would've been nice. This place is a little more expensive than some others in the area, but failed to deliver much more than mediocrity. I think what ultimately bothers me the most is that with a little more effort and some tweaking it could have been a lot better, but it just wasn't. I now find myself longing for that pizza that could have been, but never will be.

We have driven past this place thousands of times. Stopped by today with a Restaurant.com certificate. The food was great! I had the broccoli pasta and loved it. Other members of family enjoyed their meals. Server was very attentive. I am not shy about writing critical reviews about places we visit. This place impressed me. Good on ya, Queens.

Okay, I will admit I am gonna break from my frank evaluations but this place reminds me to much of home. My wife grew up in New England near a Greek area in Mass. There is a place there that many Greek families frequented, especially on Friday nights. It has always been a good time and a strong community. This place has nearly this place has near the exact same food. Sure, some of the toppings could have been a fresher or a higher quality but if you have a need for a New England style pizza and/or some Greek food - look no further. The prices were great and our pizza, chicken nugget, and gyro dinner couldn't have been better. Washing it down with an inexpensive pitcher of beer was even better. We just moved here and felt like we happened upon a little corner of home. We will likely become regulars here and I will try to update this as we try more food and menu items. Chicken nuggets and french fries, meatball and cheese pizza, and a gyro sandwich with a pitcher of Bud Light was $34 before tip. I was very surprised by the negative reviews on this place but everything was hot and fresh and service was good. Haven't tried it as take out but to order in was fun and relaxed.

I've been back to Queen's Pizza in Tarpon Springs a couple of times more since my first writing. We ordered a small (seriously it was big enough for two) Greek salad with that unbelievably scrumptious creamy Italian dressing...mmmm mmmm good. We also ordered the Greek Lemon Chicken soup. It is so good. Don't miss this one. On another day, I ordered a delicious and juicy chicken souvlaki. The tzatsiki dressing is perfect. Hubby ordered a small calzone. The cheese was oozing out of it when he cut into it...all warm and gooey. He barely came up for air. Still waiting for a nice remodel, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon. Highly recommended.

I'm a transplanted New Yorker. I will not be back. I paid almost $30 for a large Sicilian pizza with one topping, a chicken souvlaki pita, and a 2 liter of Pepsi. The pizza had a very good taste and I liked the sauce but it was so greasy I just could not believe it. It was twice as greasy as any Stromboli I've ever eaten. When you pick a slice up, the cheese just slid right off the pizza. My wife said the pita was just ok. $30 was not worth it and if it was only $20 I still wouldn't be back just because of how terribly greasy it was. Sorry but.... No.

Love Queen's Pizza's Vegetarian Delight pizza & greek salad! We've gotten takeout several times, always very pleased with the deliciously prepared fresh food. Something different from the usual big-box pizza places, with very appreciative & friendly staff. I've found that asking for the salad dressing on the side helps keep the greek salad from turning to mush if you won't be eating it right away.

I have eaten at Queens for many years and have never been disappointed. Love the lasagna and the meatballs are excellent. Pizza is very good and the sausage has great flavor. Small Greek salad is plenty for my wife and I and the white dressing is so good that we bought some to use at home. Chicken Lemon soup is fantastic. If you are looking for a good place for quality food Queens is the place.

Okay I am giving Queen's Pizza 4 stars because of it's location. It is very hard to find good New York style pizza when you leave the Northern US. Pizza Hut, Domino's and Papa John's don't come close. Queens is the closest to it in the area, when visiting I do not know of another place that can do pizza justice.

Went here for lunch with my mom. The pizza is pretty good, my mom's favorite is the chicken and broccoli. I had the chicken parmesean and the portion was quite large. Also the meal comes with a salad and bread. Service was not so attentive, but overall the place was okay.

We went to Queens pizza in the past and have had the same issue with our orders. I ordered a ham calzone with no ricotta cheese and my husband ordered a pizza well done and crispy the first time we went there. We received our order over an hour later and his is barely cooked and mine is full of ricotta cheese. We called back and they did send a new one another hour later!! It was 10 minutes short of 3 hours before I received my supper. Needless to say I had already fixed myself something by then. We did not go there for a while and decided to try them again. My husband ordered his the same and mine was a steak calzone without ricotta this time. The order arrived over an hour later with ricotta cheese and not well done pizza!! We took a long break from there but decided to try again last night. We ordered the same as last wrong visit and received the order an hour later wrong just like last visit!!! Sad part is every time the order taker reads our order back to us and everything is correct. My husband specified this order several times to assure this would be correct. You would think they would use bolder fount or highlight special requests because apparently the cook only reads the first line or something. Called back and the manager insisted he would personally make it and it would be here before the hour since it was so late at night by now. Needless to say I finally received my supper at 9:10PM when my first order was placed at 6:40PM. Waste of money since I had already made myself something by then because I can not eat that late at night. Sad how a simple request of no ricotta and well done pizza throws them so far off and they can not handle the request. Three strikes you are out in my book.

My neighbor was a delivery driver for this place. Introduced us to the food here. I really love this pizza. It's no 5 star pizza by any means but I love the cheese these guys use. You know, that super greasy, take 3 years off your life, NY style stuff. Can't eat it often but it's a treat. I am not much of a fan of the other food I have tried. Garlic knots, dive bar appetizers, etc. but the salads have all been fresh and tasty. Look, 3 stars is nothing to shake your head at. Its a decent pizza dive and worth checking out if you're a "fold your pizza slice in half and dive right in" type.

There were four of us dining there. The food was great! I think the food I tasted was delicious. The issue is that it took over an hour for our meals to arrive. I do not know what the issue was. We've been there a couple of times before and the service was excellent, the food delicious, and meal could not have been better. When we invited other people with us, it was not as wonderful. The soup, salad, and bread arrived. Our special request on the salad preparation was handled well. Taking over an hour for two chicken parms, a rigatoni with sausage, and small pizza is too lengthy. Our waitress continually filled our ice teas and water glasses. She told us that it would just be a little while. It was a little while when the other 10 people arrived after us and received their meal before us. It was disappointing because the food arrived so late that there wasn't enough time to enjoy it. We raved about it and then invited family to join us there for supper ... and the experience was not as expected or how we described. Quick recap - the food is delicious, service was wonderful, the wait is just too long for the meal.

The food is not worth trying. I have had it a few times (I did not order it myself) and I have not liked it yet. I can stomach the pizza but barely. I would never order it and I don't think I would eat it even if it was ordered by another and there was nothing else to eat. I'm sure some people enjoy it, I am not one of them.

I stopped in at Queen's Pizza in Tarpon Springs for lunch, and lucky me, it was Greek Tuesday! There were a number of Greek dishes that were all 2 for 1. I was thinking about getting an eggplant parm sammich, but hey, it was 2 for 1. My wife and I both got a mini Greek salad and the spanokopita. The Greek salad was indeed mini, but it was enough. The lettuce and other ingredients were all fresh, nothing wilted, and it was tasty. The spanokopita was a bit of a dud. Very dry on the inside, greasy on the outside and overall bland. It was passable, but not great. I want to try the pizza next time. The server was very prompt and friendly, and the food came out quickly. We didn't have to ask for drink refills because they magically appeared. The restaurant itself is a tad bit on the shabby side but it is definitely clean. This location of Queen's Pizza is a friendly, family place with great deals and food that is just ok. It met my expectations, and it was a cheap lunch!

great pizza and they know it! I have frequented Queens for years and one day i went in and they made me wait for 20 minutes for my order then it was cold. I have eaten here many times with my kids, and the food has been consistently very good! Their greek salad is the best I've had, mostly due to their homemade creamy greek dressing which I could literally put on just about anything. Their pizza is super cheesy which I like, but the kids say is too much cheese - so they have tried other things on the menu - everything we've tried has been very good. Their two for tuesday greek special is a good deal I'm a pretty picky eater so it's great to have a place where I know I'm going to be pretty happy each time. The only downside: I've been disappointed with their service at times, servers giving me the check when I've barely finished eating - not seeing them for the entirety of the meal - but their food keeps me coming back.

Queen's Pizza is absolutely fantastic!!! I stopped in for dinner this evening with my grandparents and sister and was absolutely blown away. Honestly some of the best pizza I have ever had... and I work at a brick oven pizzeria! We started out with the large greek salad which was AMAZING. Crisp romaine lettuce, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, huge slices of feta cheese and kalamata olives topped with two huge scoops of delicious potato salad and this wonderful sweet/creamy/garlicky greek dressing. We also had an order of the garlic knots which were baked to perfection and served with a side of marinara. I then had a bowl of the chicken lemon soup which was to die for - creamy lemon base with tender shredded chicken and perfectly cooked orzo. YUM . Now on to the pizza - I ordered the garden fresh pizza which came with tomatoes, lightly breaded eggplant slices, broccoli and crushed garlic. I added on black olives because I love them. This pizza was LEGENDARY. Crispy yet chewy crust, perfectly melted cheese, fresh toppings - so good! Dip it in a bit of the greek dressing and thank me later! We also ordered the veal parmesan which was great - big portions and nicely breaded veal; the smothered Mediterranean chicken which was excellent - juicy with just the right amount of toppings. The shrimp and broccoli rigatoni was also wonderful - perfectly al dente pasta and the broccoli was still nice and firm. Now for the dessert- As it is my favorite dessert, I have tried hundreds of rice pudding and let me tell you- this trumped them all. Light and fluffy with just the right amount of cinnamon. Absolutely amazing. I could have eaten a whole tray. If you are in the area and have the chance to visit Queen's Pizza make sure you do!!! You will not regret it! Keep up the great work - I just wish there was a Queen's in CT!!!

Gone there twice. Good basic pizza place. Pretty good pizza with loads of cheese and decent thin crust. Huge caesar salad with pretty bland dressing. Very limited beer and wine selection -- Bud, Bud Light and Michelob Amber Bock. Very clean and bright with good if not sophisticated service.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
