Breakfast is excellent! Fresh food, cooked perfectly, huge portions at very reasonable prices. Service was great, coffee cups were refilled multiple times. Don't let the store front or location fool you, the building is owned by the gas station next door but it is in no way gas station food. Even with the minimal decor, this place is great! Excited to try their lunch menu sometime soon!

Well I would give this place 3 or 4 stars but I found a hair in my food. I ordered an Italian and the sandwich was pretty good. They use good ingredients but I felt it was more Spanish than Italian. The ingredients definitely go better in a Cuban. The menu consists of breakfast items, sandwiches, and dinner items. The sandwich was not bad. The serving sizes are good but I expected cheaper for gas station food The decor is really bad. It was purely renovated but very clean. They need to redo their bathroom which they share with the gas station. Being a gas station bathroom it is usually surprisingly clean Staff is nice but they better wear a hair net next time. To be honest, I wasn't too grossed out but it is still unacceptable.

Wonderful, friendly staff. Quick to bring your food out. Very accommodating and welcoming. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served all day. Very affordable prices. I would recommend this place to everyone. A+ business!

The staff here is always very friendly and the food is pretty good! I've tried both breakfast and dinner here, and both have been great. The restaurant can be pretty empty so it's easy to get a table (especially for dinner during the week). The dinner specials are hot and tasty. Reminds me of a cute little diner that you might see on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives.

I haven't had lunch there yet, but the breakfast is good. Great for a quick stop-in. It's attached to a gas station, but isn't gas station food. The server I had was very sweet too.

I don't care what anyone says, for "gas station food" this place is on point. Technically it isn't gas station food, it's just attached to one. Great breakfast for sure.

I had the Greek Salad and my friend ordered the Steak Wrap. Both were tasteless and left us immediately seeking out other food as soon as we left. The waitress was sweet, that is about the only good thing I can say. It was not cheap either. The peppers on the salad tasted rotten.

I had the Reuben and macaroni salad with a cup of the house soup. The portions were large enough to share and the meal was delicious! Service was good and the outside patio is a nice ambiance although the surrounding scenery is not too pretty.
(5)Nick D.
They have a patio so you can relax with your dogs while you enjoy a great breakfast! Very friendly people, consistent service and delicious food. I've been for both breakfast and lunch and always get a great meal at a good value. Yes, it is in the back of a gas station but this place really does have great food and great prices.

Albeit attached to a gas station near channelside, Zelda's is worth stopping in for their Jamaican theme home cooking. Well worth a try!

Local and great cuban , always a good special. Nice staff and ok tables and fair outside area.
(4)Frank M.
Love this place! Great breakfasts. Generous portions! Lunch menu is surprisingly diverse. Super reasonable prices as well- prob the only place left where two people can get generous meals for under 20 dollars.

Good effort Friendly people Subpar breakfast I stopped by here for a quick, casual breakfast and left wanting. I had the spinach, tomato, and feta omelet with a side of cheese grits. Somehow, virtually everything just tasted sour and unappealing. Our waitress was nice, but it was slow when we were there and I still waited long periods between coffee refills, which always bugs me. The prices weren't high per se, but were high for what we got. Don't be scared off by the fact that its attached to a BP gas station - but maybe your hopes shouldn't be that high for this establishment anyway. Likely worth rambling on to other local spots for breakfast.

Don't go for the atmosphere, but the best veggie wrap. A long time native directed me here, and I was surprised how good it was. It is good for a quick bite. Attached to a gas station, but has a dining area.

Why 4 stars? Because these sammies are to be desired. --- --- --- This is a good Cuban, definitely above the norm. I will say, I miss their old vegetable chips they used to serve. I felt like those really gave Zelda's some personality. While the macaroni salad was a nice touch, nothing could ever beat those veggie chips. This is an interesting spot - shared with a gas station but fairly classy inside. I hope they survive with all of the new restaurants opening next door in the Grand Central building.

THE ITALIAN - Sweet lord, it was AMAZING! We walked in on a whim and could not stop talking about it our entire trip. The quality of everything on the sandwich was of culinary greatness. I can't wait to go back.

My husband I loved this place. Food was great, but the service is so awful, it just wasn't worth it to go back. One waitress for the whole place is unfair to patrons and unfair to the waitress. (She's very sweet) We went there for over a year but there's no reason to go back to keep going back to a place where you just can't get service & are frustrated when you leave. It's such an easy fix but clearly they don't care. If they added staff, we would be back in a heart beat.

Omelette was very good, especially for the price. Only one server so service was a little slow, but very friendly!

Food was good wasnt bad. Felt the menu is very basic and can find many of the items at publix. Wouldn't really call this place a deli more of a restaurant. Ordered the Channelside wrap. Food was good, service was ok ( i just ordered to go ), just didn't hit me with anything special. On a scale from 1-10 a 5 at best.

I work at Le Mouton Noir Bakehouse across the street from this place-and I decided to try it. I called in to order a Cuban sandwich for pickup because I was getting off work in 20 minutes. When I got off, I walked across the street and when I got inside the aroma hit me, it smelled so good!! The Cuban was pretty great. I wish there was more cheese and pickles, but overall it was very good. It came with macaroni salad and an extra pickle. The macaroni salad was bland, and it looked and tasted like they just put pepper, mayonnaise, and macaroni together in a bowl and served it. I added some salt and it tasted decent afterward. The four stars are most definitely for the Cuban itself-great!!

I'm actually here now as I write this review. Had a delicious steak and cheese! The steak is flavorful and bread is soft. The sandwich is huge! Had I had know it was so big, I would have split it with my husband. The side of macaroni salad was small but a nice addition to the gigantic sandwich. My husband has the meat omelette with cheese added and that was pretty good as well. My sister got the ceasar salad and the chicken on that ceasar was delicious! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is location just because its attached to a gas station and has limited parking ( not the owners fault for that). I would definitely eat here again though!

Zelda's is an OK restaurant but wasn't spectacular. We went for lunch and the place was packed with locals- a good sign. We heard a lot of this Greek Salad but the server told us they were out of Greek dressing. There goes that idea! I ended up having the club sandwich. The give you a choice of bread and a side of macaroni salad. The macaroni salad was good but was VERY peppery. The sandwich was HUGE but once I started eating it I noticed it was mostly bread. Service was decent but our server was very soft spoken and tough to hear. The restaurant was very WARM this day, almost to the point of being uncomfortable. Just OK.

Had the jerk chicken. I understand jerk chicken isn't cooked right then for you but it wasn't even properly warmed up. Favor was okay had better. Friendly service.

This is a terrific local, small business that I took a chance on because of the location. The Port Authority is right across the street and this makes Zelda's the most convenient place for a quick lunch. I was very pleasantly surprised with the clean, modern vibe and the hustle of the wait staff. There is a great variety on the menu with breakfast served all day, but I find myself captivated by the Cuban sandwiches and the macaroni salad. Definitely competitive on price as well - skip the happy meal at McDonald's and get something that is better for you and your wallet!

We just went to Zelda's for the first time to get take out. First we tried to order from the dinner menu and were told everything on there takes 1/2 an hour- which is a little nuts, so we ordered two specials. My boyfriend got the ribs, which were good, but the beans and rice were from a boxed mix and the mac and cheese was bland and gross, so he threw them away. I made the unfortunate mistake of getting the seafood pasta. It was VILE and I threw it in the trash. There was gloppy, nasty cheese all over it and the shrimp and scallops were clearly frozen as they were a spongy nasty mess. Ew.

While staying with a friend who lives a block away, we were looking for a restaurant with outdoor seating that we could bring our large dog to. After driving around looking for a place to eat, we ended up right back where we started, at Zeldas. Pros: Pet friendly, plenty of outdoor seating, decent food (breakfast, salads, deli sandwiches) Cons: Service was extremely slow. Good thing we weren't in a rush. The waitress was in the weeds and we waited about 10 minutes before we were even aknowledged and then had to give our drink orders twice, since she had forgotten about the first order. Our OJ's and coffees didn't arrive until the food came, and I was THIRSTY! The owner used to be a chef on one of the cruise lines in the area and they now own Zelda's and the adjacent BP gas station, which is actually connected. They were gracious enough to allow my bf and I to park our car there all Gasparilla weekend. And for that, I am grateful!

This may look like a little "hole in the wall" place, but its so good! I went here with my dad and I got the pressed Cuban, he got the fried tilapia sandwich. I loved mine and he said his was really good as well. Their macaroni salad is to die for! I'm craving their food as I type this lol! Seriously, put this on your must try list!
(5)Francisco F.
The food was excellent. I had the mushroom soup and turkey sandwich. Everything was fresh and tasty. The waitress had a very hard time getting my order and had to come back twice to get it right. I mean...I ordered a turkey sandwich. I highly recommend this place if you want a quick, tasty, affordable lunch.

I finally had to sign up for Yelp so I could write a review for Zelda's. I recently moved into a building just around the corner and I've visited twice and both times have been fantastic! Zelda's is a breakfast/lunch/dinner/cafe/deli type of place that's open every day from 7am-9pm. They have an impressive menu featuring all kinds of foods that will satisfy (almost) any mood you happen to be in. I've had breakfast twice there and the food and service have both been stellar. They are dog-friendly and my dog loves going with me and sitting in the outdoor seating areas (they have a small area out front and a really cool "tiki bar" style area in the back). In fact, the last time I took him there the waitress was nice enough to bring out a bowl of water for him! Both times I've been, I have had an omelette and both times it has been great. Their hash browns are also very good. My breakfast was served with the hash browns, toast and a small cup of fruit. I'm looking forward to going back for lunch and dinner to see what else they have but so far...so good!
