Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I love this place! Great for a casual dinner after a trip to Curtis Hixon. The food is fresh and delicious, the service is quick, and the prices are reasonable especially for the heart of downtown. They have tons of gourmet pizzas and appetizers with plenty of vegetarian options and even offer began soy cheese and gluten free crust. Highly recommend!

Tampa Pizza Company is awesome! I've eaten here on a number of occasions, always seeming to go on Sunday nights. If you sit outside you can people watch all the people leaving Yoga at Curtis Hixon Park which is pretty fun. The pizza is yummy with some great preconceived pizzas as well as build your own varieties. They also have some other items on their menu (salad and the like) but I've normally stuck with pizza. Judging by the pizza though I'm sure the other items are great too. I have tried the zucchini boats appetizer (vegetarian friendly!) and it was SO DELICIOUS! Cool place, cool vibe, cool food.

I'm here at least once a week. The staff are always friendly, and even when it's busy, I have a pleasant experience. What led me to decide to make a review, though, is that I ordered a sandwich tonight, and made changes (as I usually do... I rarely just order off the menu), and I'm pretty sure this is it. This is the Boss Sandwich. The BOSS: a sandwich named in honor of the lady who concocted this messy masterpiece (uhhh, me. duh). What's it the Boss of? Benevolence. Comfort. And your heart, if you dare to eat a bite. Pairs well with anything but water. (What? I said this was a comfort sandwich.) The Boss's Bits: I ordered a Grilled Cheese with organic mozzarella, three-cheese blend, and goat cheese, with pepperoni and pesto. It might just be my regular thing from now on, and as I told the cook who made it: "If this is the legacy I leave to the world, I can die a happy woman." I hope if you do come here and try this sandwich, you enjoy it as much as I did. And the wait staff. And the cook. [boom]

Outstanding service. The pizza was Fantastic and the ceasar salad I had to start was great. We had the Buffalo chicken pizza and it was amazing. Service was quick and helpful also had the Nutella pizza for dessert and it was great. Service was great recommend this place to anyone.

Not easy to make a good gluten free pie but these guys do it! #Fishing Naked is REALLY digging Tampa!

Went here for lunch today. The pizza was really good. Compared to most pizza places I've tried in Tampa, it was definitely one of the best. When someone recommends a pizza place, specially in this area...I'm skeptical. Most people's idea of good is chewy cheese and overly crispy toppings...usually caused by overcooking. This place has been the exception...the pizza was cooked just right, the cheese was gooey and thick and the pepperoni was crispy right along the rim. I got the pepperoni pizza lunch special. Pretty simple compared to most of their options. The person next to me got the steak Gorgonzola which looked and smelled amazing! Will be trying that next time :)! The special comes with a salad and a drink. The service was quick and efficient.a must during lunch when you have to rush back to work.

Really love coming here when we do picnics at curtis hixon. The pizza place has some not so normal pizza flavors and the ingredients used seem to be high quality. Besides where else can you get a Indian fusion pizza? This place! Not only are the pizzas unique they have some healthy crust options such as gluten free , 6 grain and just plain ole organic crust. I dunno if it's really healthy but I certainly feel like I'm making a right choice when I want to pretend I'm dieting. So far everything I've tried has been great and every pizza is packed full of flavor. This establishment is also Clean as well as good service. So if your in a mood of exotic flavors or just some good classic pizza that won't weigh you down. Check out this place! Oh and be sure to check for their nightly specials. I'm a sucker for a good deal!

Down for an evening walk we stumbled across this corner pizza place. What a great job with the food. I was impressed with the local flavor of the place. We ordered the Barbeque Chicken and within 10 minutes it was in front of us. Our first pizza place in Tampa...A+

This is place is the best spot in Tampa for vegan pizza! Very flavorful, good prices, and it's in the heart of downtown Tampa. I love coming here.

I'm not sure why the name change. However, while they are no longer Pizza Fusion, it is the exact same menu and quality. I love the feeling of healthier pizza. From the 6-grain crust, to gluten free crust and vegan cheese option. My favorite is the bruchetta pizza with the garlic and olive based tomato pizza. When feeling frisky I enjoy the pear and gorgonzola pizza. I had a Pizza Fusion CL Deal and they did honor the deal. Just remember to leave time to park unless you go late at night. Finding parking downtown can be quite the challenge. At least the meters are free after 6pm

Okay... I wrote all this and THEN checked out the page to see the average review and I'm pretty surprised at the 4.5 stars, honestly. I'd rather give a 2.5 because it really was 'Meh, I've experienced better' but I generally reserve the 2 stars for bad experiences. It wasn't that this place was BAD it just wasn't impressive to me. So I may be in the minority here but here it goes.... We went here before the big Game 3 watch party at Curtis Hixon for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. We arrived around 5:30 and were the only table in sight. We were seated at a large set of tables to fit a group of 12. Service started out okay - the waitress checked on us as we acquired more people but she wasn't very familiar with the different beers and had trouble keeping up with the amount of waters we needed. Sangria was good - a little too red for me, I tried my friend's white sangria and that was very mango-y?? We were trying to wait for our whole group and finally ordered after a little while. Since we were so hungry one of the girls ordered the loaded potato soup as an appetizer. We kept waiting for it to be brought over as more people loaded into the restaurant and our waitress stayed behind the counter, not really paying attention to us. We tried to get her attention to find out about the soup and she began bringing all the pizzas over. My friend told her she no longer wanted the soup since she wanted it when she ordered it and she seemed confused and said 'oh well it's up on the counter now....' and even though my friend tried to tell her she didn't want it anymore she kind of didn't seem to get it and awkwardly coerced her into still getting it. I ordered the Big Al - chicken, basil, pesto, garlic, and Roma tomatoes I believe. Sadly, I was not impressed. The chicken had no flavor and was overcooked, pretty sure the tomatoes were just basic hamburger-style tomatoes and not Roma. The personal pizza was also a strange size - it could've been a little bigger, but then the large was pretty huge - probably enough for 2-3. The others seemed content with their orders but after perusing the extensive menu and how many wonderful options they seemed to have I was disappointed with my order. It took a few minutes to get our checks and no pens were brought over, then we asked her and she forgot again, and finally she found some Sharpies for us to use lol. I'd like to try it again since it is right downtown and in close proximity to Curtis Hixon but no rush to get back yet.

I realized how wonderful this place when I was in my office building's elevator with a bunch of strangers chiming in - the entire 30-something story ride looked like a commercial: "Tampa Pizza Co is incredible. The best pizza ever and I love that it's downtown." "Right! I love to creates-my-own. I don't think there's a better pizza place in the area!" "And great for a quick bite. You can order online!" "And they deliver!!" "And they offer the best gluten-free crust!" "And they have healthy options - I can never decide between pizza or salad, they're both so good." "It's amazing...." In summary, everyone loves TPC and for good reason. Quality, delicious, freshly-made pizza!

Good pizza with nice beer selection. We got the Gasparilla pizza with no onions and it was great - it tasted fresh with really good sausage and pepperoni - they're using high quality ingredients. The service was good.

Went here on a Wed night which happened to be when they have a special for $5 personal pizza and $10 for a large. Tried the one called Big Al's which has chicken, fresh mozzarella, roasted garlic, roma tomatoes and basil. My family also got another pizza and salad. We all thought it was ok, nothing to write home about. It's NY-style, thin crust. It took about 40 min to get our food although they didn't seem too busy. Server was nice but forgot to bring us items we asked for/ordered, which eventually came. Decor/ambience modern. Outdoor tables to bask in the 100 degree weather but the free refills on the Boylan sodas will keep you refreshed (get the black cherry).

I flipping love their cheese pizza. On wheat crust it has a very rustic look. It's like the best pizza of its category and I don't even like cheese pizza generally. Similar to a cheese flatbread w good oregano flavor and good sauce. It makes me happy.

Used to be Skypoint Pizza but they changed their name. Same pizza, same prices, same quick service and good food. I'm glad the name change didn't effect the taste or quality. They have vegan pizza with soy cheese! And you can add more veggies to it too! I love this place because their portion sizes are perfect for lunch! Their crust is delicious too! Probably one of my favorite lunch places in downtown. Fellow veggie lovers- go here! Also, they still have their amazing flower-berry whatever it is iced tea. I have no idea what it's called but it's so good!

Very good! Nice pizza selection and a make your own option. Good beer selection and wine on tap?!? Staff was all amazing...every single one of them. Go for the people, go for the food....just go!

I was pleasantly surprised! Great food, great price and great service. My only complaint is for the business they get it's a little congested. But I quickly got over that once we were served.

Our go-to place before we see a show at the Straz or the Arena. Small but tasty draft selection that rotates. The pizza is always excellent and the wait time after ordering is reasonable.

Came to lunch with family. It was very enjoyable. This will be our place to eat when we go to the Children's Museum. Pizza was phenomenal. I had the turkey wrap and it was on point. Highly recommend this fresh, gluten free food.

Super chill and cool place! Even met one of the owners and she was suppppper cute and nice! Let me try the beers!

Enjoyed a nice lunch outdoors here with our dog (server was kind enough to provide her a bowl of water). Had steak sandwich and Caesar wrap, both very good. The bread on the sandwich was great. Our server was super nice and offered beer selection samples to help us make a choice. Had a great lunch and will be back on another visit to downtown Tampa!

Decent service, nice selection of beer. I understand we are in Fl but the gnat problem and dirty glasses within the restaurant needs to be addressed. Definitely will order again, but take out only.

Great visit weekend of June 19th. Ate there twice. Great pizza, incredible taste, have some different options for pizza, service was always wonderful. Highly recommend a visit there!

Pizza was awesome.. outdoor seating was better since there was a problem in AC. We ordered 2 pizza. First was a steak pizza with tricolor pepper which was innovative to me. The second was buffalo chicken.. which was very tasty with real grilled chicken and fetta cheese. They put celery which added to total taste. As non-alcoholic Drink was not bad. But I may try bottled ice tea next time (non-refill).

Love this place and the local beers they keep on draft. The wife enjoys healthy, organic food, and this is a great option because it tastes delicious too! The meatball sliders and the sausage and peppers pizza on multigrain are my go to, but everything I've had there has been awesome.

I was craving pizza at the Tampa General Hospital. I decided I would look online for any nearby places that would satisfy my taste buds. Tampa Pizza Company happened to only be 2 miles away, so I figured I would take my chances. Looked up their website to check out their menu and was pleasantly surprised to find that they use healthy and fresh ingredients. I was expecting to have a massive cheat day since I have been trying to watch my diet, so it definitely helped remove any guilt about deciding on pizza. I gave them a call and was greeted by a very nice lady who let me know that she will be happy to go over their menu with me or that I could visit their website where they also offer online ordering. I told her that I will try their website and if I run into any trouble I would call back. I had no issues other than their website not being able to find my location (possibly my fault) so I called back. I was greeted by a different person and it sounded like she was smiling the entire time. Shared a few laughs and then ordered the personal sausage and tricolor peppers pizza. I gave them another call to add parmesan cheese and crushed red peppers on the side. Again, another person answered but she was just as pleasant. The staff made me feel very comfortable and thankful that I stumbled across their business. I was quoted at 45 minutes and my pizza arrived in 40. To no one's surprise, the pizza was delicious. I have never written a review before, but their customer service went above and beyond that I felt as though I owed it to them. The delivery guy brought cookies and a lollipop for my little sister, who is admitted at the hospital, and said they were from the manager. I have never experienced this level of customer service before, and having background in the service industry, it was quite refreshing. The energy the staff gave me was perfect and I can only imagine how much better the experience would have been if I had dined in. I will definitely be a returning customer and excited to try other items on the menu.

I know it may be hard to believe for a simple pizza place, but they have some of the best wine I've ever had. Their wine is "on tap" so it's fresh and crisp tasting. I would come here just for the wine. The salads are very small (more like a side salad). I wish they offered dinner sized portion salads.

I always get delivery so this is based on that. The person who answers the phone makes my order fast and efficient. They have my number on file so I don't have to give my address every time. They say 45 min but it's usually 30. I get the artichoke personal pizza, with a Cesar salad & fresh mozzarella ! It's always fresh, and it's also very healthy ! They have a GF menu and I don't feel all greasy & guilty after I eat the pizza, or anything I order at that matter. Never had anything missing from my delivery order either!

Healthy, delicious menu with a wide range of tastes for every taste bud. The personal pizzas are an excellent size. After you satisfy your savory size, finish off your experience with the Nutella pizza. You won't regret it!
