Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Greek Cuisine
Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

Stefanos has practically been a Temple Terrace landmark for many years. Food is always good, the servings are large, and the service is fast and friendly. What more could you want in a restaurant? Over the years they moved, and then expanded in the current location, and spruced up on a regular basis. The Greek/Italian menu is comprehensive and everything is delicious. Stefano's is on our speed dial for carry out and the family size Greek salad is a favorite.

Although the food was great and the portions large we experienced one of the SLOWEST meals I've ever experienced. Our group was seated in the side room and promptly forgotten about. Even to get drinks initially took a long while. We had to find someone to take our order because NO ONE checked on us. I had to repeatedly flag someone down to refill my water. My chicken salad when it arrived was massive! It was a delicious meld of flavors that was so tasty didn't even need the dressing. The bits and pieces of the salad kept falling off the side of the plate because it was so large. Prices were reasonable too and everyone in our group was happy with the quality and quantity of food. Maybe our server was just having a really bad day but surely a manager would have been on top of things to rectify the situation. Luckily we were not in a rush. If you are then I wouldn't recommend eating here.

First time trying Stefanos, huge meal proportion, great variety of food options particularly in Italian and Greek. We ordered chicken piccata and chicken Marsala both tasted little similar, which was a negative for me. They were really busy, our table was overlooked. The employees were friendly however, our server was terrible. Great place to go if you are hungry, and craving Italian, Greek or a salad.

Ok. I have to say that when I pulled up to their address I was a little hesitant to try it as it looks like an old pizza hut building. I feared the food would not be very good...but I was pleasantly surprised! I had the gyro and it was huge and very good! I would come back again. Lesson learned tonight: Don't judge a book by its cover! TRY IT YOU WILL LIKE IT!!

This definitely looks like it was a Pizza Hut back in the 80s. I would not have guessed it was a Greek place judging by the exterior. It's nothing fancy, but I had a great lunch here. HUGE and delicious gyros. Only $7 and comes with the perfect diner fries. They also have wonderful tzatziki, which is a must for any Greek restaurant.

Great food, large portions. BUT address listed on Yelp is wrong!!! It should be 8600.

The restaurant is not bad. I will say the food is good, both in quality and quantity, but the interior leaves a little something to be desired.

Stumbled upon this place while out running errands the other day (read: a lengthy Big Lots trip that made me broke and hungry). It's a diner like atmosphere- some greek food, some italian food- nothing out of the ordinary. The gyros were huge and served with delicious french fries. I'll come back- but there was nothing that made this place stand out to me.

Consistantly good food. Highly recommend the grilled chicken salad with house dressing, easily serves two people.

Surprisingly good diner / restaurant located in the heart of Temple Terrace, along 56th Street, just north of the Hillsborough River. From the outside, Sefano's looks like a pizza restaurant that never got updated, but don't let that stop you from going inside. Stefano's is a blending of a Greek / Italian restaurant combined with an American-style diner. There's a wide mix of choices on the menu as well as daily specials on the white board. The portions are massive, and the prices are very reasonable. During the week they're open from 11am - 9pm, but open by 7am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for breakfast. This is a seat-yourself kinda place, and you can choose from 4-top tables or 4-person booths around the restaurant. Your server will be there in a jiffy with the menu, to take your drink order, and to tell you about the daily specials. Stefano's is known for their Greek salads, and Greek specialties such as Mousaka, Dolmades, and Gyro Platters. They also feature homemade Italian favorites including Lasagna, Chicken Parmagiana and Chicken Alfredo. The lunch menu has all of the traditional, authentic Greek specialties, along with soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, paninis, burgers and sandwiches. At dinnertime you have all of the above plus traditional Italian meals, seafood, steaks, pork, chicken, and vegetarian dishes. Truly something for everyone. I ordered my lunch off of the Specials board and had two massive crab cakes (each was easily three times the size of any other crab cake that I've ever seen!). Those came with a house salad, side of pasta and sauce, garlic bread, and a Diet Coke for $15. I took home half of my dinner, so it was 2 full meals for $15! As I looked around, everyone was receiving HUGE portions of food, and most all of us were leaving with to-go boxes. I thought that the food tasted quite good, and was certainly pleased with the value of my meal. The next time that I'm on this side of town I'll gladly stop back at Stefano's for another meal.

This is my second bad experience in a row at Stefano's. Tonight, I waited over 45 minutes for a call-in order they said would take 15 minutes. Then they were out of Greek dressing and told me they'd "been out for a while" - how does a Greek Italian restaurant run out of Greek dressing?

My husband and I have been going here since we started dating. Charming little restaurant with huge portions. Always feeds us at least twice. Chicken parm dinner is huge and delicious, my husbands favorite anywhere. I love the gyro and Greek salad- by far my favorite Greek salad I've had. Love this place!
(5)Lisa M.
First off...love their gyros! The prices are reasonable and the portions are BIG. We've never been where everyone didn't have food to take home. Friendly staff, family atmosphere. It's become our 'go to' restaurant. There is a wide selection on the menu from burger and fries, to baked pasta dishes to traditional Greek. Come hungry.

Wow, what a find. We were going for Mexican food, but decided to try Stafanio. The portions are incredible. Each plate had tons of food and the prices are great. The food tastes great and the wait staff was nice and polite. You need to come here, what are you waiting for!!!!!!

Love this place! So good. My husband and I make it a point to go to Stefanos a few times a month - mostly via takeout. We split a mini-greek salad + gyro & can never finish our meals. The food is so good and super fresh. Very reasonably priced too. I have never tried their italian side of the menu, but can vouch for the gyro salad & dolmades - sooo good. Not a super fancy place - but perfect for a quick, tasty and cheap bite.

Definitely a regular go to place for my family. Breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. Every weekend my son asks to go for breakfast as soon as he see's me open my eyes. Ha!Portions are gigantic! We often get 2 meals at dinner and share among the 4 of us. Staff is always great.

Horrible service!!! takes forever to get waited on. Don't go if your are on your lunch break because you have to get the food to go and eat it at your desk. Not sure what the problem is ?? C'mon Stefano's get your act together you have great food....

A few of my co-workers had been raving about this place, so I decided to give it a shot. For me, it all comes down to taste. I've been here twice now (God knows why) and I simply cannot stomach this food. I had a Greek salad that had more Feta than lettuce the first time, and a Gyro that had more onions than pita bread. I took two bites and had to throw it out. I just don't understand what all the hype is about?

Huge portions and great Greek salad! The only thing I didn't particularly like was I ordered fish and it was served battered, fried and covered in sauce. I prefer my fish to be very light (I should've asked first). Otherwise great meal choices. We went back another time for more salad and moussaka and we will definitely return.

After hearing about this restaurant a year ago, we finally joined friends for dinner at Stefano's. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the and we will be certain to return. My comments are expanded at the references site.http://jimspoliticalcertainty.worldblogospherÂe.com/574/politics/stefanos-really-interesting-restaurant/

Great food, waiters/waitresses are stellar, and portions could feed me(seeing as I live alone) for a week! (Possibly a slight exaggeration) Seriously though, the atmosphere is great, so I'd recommend this place if you're in the area!

Came in for breakfast, ordered a Southern omelet. Everything was great... service, food, atmosphere. Only problem was that the amount of food you get can feed a football team. Definitely going try lunch here as well.

Nice place to eat right in the heart of Temple Terrace. The food is a combination of Greek and Italian with some good ole American thrown in. The portions are very generous. If you go order the feta plate for a appetizer. The place is also open on Sunday's for breakfast really good blueberry pancakes and my wife is a fan of the Greek omelet comes with a nice amount of gyro meat.

Great food from a small family owned restaurant.

Great Greek food! Authentic.

The service always treats us like family and they've got great food. Go for the gyros or the alfredo. Great fried cheese as well.
