The sandwiches are very good and the staff is very attentive and friendly. I also very much like that t I can watch a soccer match with my meal since the atmosphere is authentic South American, with a mix of Uruguay, Argentina & Venezuela influences. I really like Renzo's so it hurts me to admit that I did notice that my Panini only had one paper-thin slice of prosciutto with a thick chunk of mozza and thick slices of tomato. I know that so specifically because I checked to see that there was in fact meat in the sandwich since I couldn't taste or see any. The flavor was still very good so it just bothered me a little that I spent $11 on a cheese and tomato sandwich and was hungry again not too long afterward. I'll go with one of the steaks next time.

The food is great, but the decor lacks a bit...which made us think that the food would not be that great. Definitely give this place a try!

After searching on this app for places to eat that have this style of cooking around here, I came across Renzo's and saw that the reviews look pretty legit. I stopped in for the first time today for lunch with my friend. We picked up skirt steak with a side of friend yucca and garlic sauce of course. The food came out exactly how I expected and the service there was friendly and welcoming. A gentlemen brought us over dessert to try and explained in passionate detail. You can tell he loves what he does there. Over all super great experience and will definitely recommend this to others now. Thanks!!

I came here and got the baked cheese (Provoletta Parillera), Reno's Parilla, and a Milhoja for dessert. The beer and wine was so standard issue that it's unmentionable, however a personal tea-light fueled grill to keep your meats hot is worth a mention. I also sprung for an extra- the Morcilla (blood sausage) so darn tasty, and of perfect consistency. The baked cheese, tasted like hot delicious cheese flavored bubble gum, and the charred external portions of all the meats and the Chimichurri sauce complimented them all wonderfully. I loved that all the meat didn't all taste the same, and the cuts weren't too fatty (a little fat while cooking on that small grill is great) The coconut macaroon and empanadas looked attractive, since they have a meat shop, bakery, and wine shop all included in the same space. I only gave three stars because being blitzed with greasy meats, I really needed a great side to hold it all up- a vehicle if you will. I did choose two sides, the spinach (awesome, but with huge onion chunks) and the potato salad, which did not even exist to me and wasn't worth the stomach space. So I basically had a grill feast heaping with meat, and nothing to accompany it with. TOO MUCH MEAT! (says no girl, evar) I'll be back for a fried egg dish next time. I really liked that they spoke Spanish to us as soon as we walked in as well!

Renzo's is a good, laid back option for parilla-style red meat as is the norm in Argentina. Having spent some time in Buenos Aires, I wanted to see how this place compared and it is a respectable local option. To keep it authentic, I would stick with just the bife de chorizo with a side of yucca fries (the latter is not traditional Argentinian but it's the closest thing you can get here to the delicious fried potatoes in BA). The ambiance here is poor since it's more of a cafeteria style and very casual, but you can certainly enjoy the food.

Fantastic food and even better service. Family-run business and when we mentioned we were in a rush, they were incredibly accomodating and brought out our food (fresh and piping hot) in less than 10 minutes. Ordered the Churasco and Pollo al Chimichurri and both were great. the dessert, however, was the piece de resistance and should definitely be had! FIVE STARS ALL AROUND FOR GOOD FOOD IN TAMPA!

had a reservation for 6 peoplle so we had staggered readiness to order. tthe menu is extensive and requires time. we ordered the meal for 2 and it was warm but cooled quickly in the warmer it was served. I asked 3 times for a 2 go box before waiter brought it. here is the kicker. He prepares the bill, with 18% tip,. "ok , I'll added it to the bill. Not watching and unsuspecting, the revised bill shows no tip . the total is the meal and the tip plus the desert. Not thinking my friends double tipped during the discussion of the error in the bar bill. Coors is not imported, ok. not for me ever again.

I love Renzos! I've stopped by a few times for lunch and right now my favorite time is right after my wedding gown fitting. I've been twice after and no regrets! The service is always friendly and the Renzo parrilla is delish. I've gone with my parents and just the parrilla is enough to feed the 3 of us with food to spare. The meat is flavorful and cooked to perfection. Their chimmichurri is not something to rave over but its ok. I love their empanadas and their selection of delicious red wines (which are also affordable). Their steak sandwiches are also amazing.

A great Argentinian spot with delicious empanadas and sandwiches. Didn't get a chance to try the steaks, but from what I saw when I was waiting for my to go order, they looked pretty awesome as well. Got a ham and cheese panini, and though it had a bit too much brie for my taste, it was still delicious. And though I don't think of Argentina when I think of empanadas, those were as great as any I could get at Mr. Empanada or any of the other spots around town that serve stuffed puffed pastries. Also noticed a very large Argentinian wine collection as well. Bottles were there not only for dine-in customers, but as a market for shoppers too. And the beautiful thing... the corkage fee for all dine-in customers was just $6. That's a great bargain with your meal! Service was fast and friendly, and I also noticed they had a Fiorentina-Roma soccer game playing on the big screen in the back. I know that's an Italian match, but this place screams Argentina in every way, so maybe this is a place to watch South American soccer as well?

I have visited this restaurant on a couple of occasions, it's very casual and perfect for lunch time, friendly staff and the food came out warm and fairly quickly. The meat was moist and with a great grill taste but the chimichurri was a bit on the oily side, the sandwiches are ok but will definitely go for one of their main dishes. If you suffer from food allergies I would recommend asking what kind of oil they use for their fritters before ordering.

Appetizer: The beef empanada is tasty and is a good portion size. The spinach & ricotta empanada is ok tasting. The chicken empanada is dry and tasteless, I don't recommend it. Entree: Do try the Churrasco de Entrana if you are a steak fan, it's delicious. I would not recommend the Classic Milanesa chicken, it's a large piece of chicken that's flattened and fried, nothing special. For dessert, the creme brulee is good. I've giving 3 stars because the service is really slow. On the other hand if you come in a big party, you will get preferential treatment by the servers, if you come as a couple, expect not to see your server for about 30 minutes after you place your order, sip your drink because you likely won't get a refill for a long time.

If you're in the mood for argentinian steak, Renzos is a great spot. It's a bit less formal than the more traditional argentinian restaurant, but the food is just as good. Whether you prefer the thinner "churrasco" or the thicker "vacio", steaks are well seasoned and cooked well. They have a great selection of sandwiches. Try the Renzo Special. It's got everything but the kitchen sink! They also have a variety of "empanadas", basically mini-pies with chicken, beef, cheese, and other fillings. They have beautiful quiches and desserts. I had "tostones" (fried green plantains) with my "vacio" steak and I was in hog heaven. Renzo's is located in a tiny strip mall right off Dale Mabry. If I had to choose my favorite argentinian restaurant I'd have to say El Puerto in Ybor City, but Renzo's is a very close second. I definitely recommend it.

I hesitate to give a good review, because that will just make it more difficult to get in! We love this place and have been going since they opened. The owners treat us like family when we arrive. Some of the best wine selection around, some wines that you just can't get in the USA. The owners go to Uruguay often and bring back some awesome wines. The meat is incredible, perfectly cooked, and very authentic to Argentina Parrilla. Don't forget to try the provoletta. One of our favorite places in Tampa and we always bring friends from out of town with us. The prices are also pretty outrageously low, especially for the portion size and the quality of the meat.

I don't get the glowing reviews. If you want to pay 16 dollars for a grilled skirt steak in a cafeteria style atmosphere, this is your place. The steak was decent, nothing spectacular. The desserts were nothing spectacular. The service was way way less than spectacular. There is nothing spectacular about this restaurant. But Maybe people here have never been to a good full-service Argentinian restaurant and that's why they think this is a spectacular place.

I took my mother here for dinner. She has an argentine background so shes had her sights set on it for quite a while. We were born and raised in Miami so we are pretty familiar with the more authenitc versions of argentine style restaurants and I must say the casual nature of Renzo's gives it the feel of an authentic argentine restaurant. With its TV in the back playing soccer games, the fresh meats and sausage display tucked away in the corner, and the desert display of homemade alfajor, tres leches, and many others. The "vinoteca" is the coolest thing, in my opinion, at the restaurant. They have a pretty nice wine list composed of predominantly argentine reds and whites. We were a party of four all very comfortable with sharing. We started with the trio of empanadas and the trio of chorizo. Let me start this portion by saying that I am not a very frequent meat eater, I came mainly because of my mothers desire to experience it. I can fairly say that the empanadas were not the best I've had, I am also of cuban decent so that is the style of empanada I'm familiar with and these empanadas were just not up to par for me. We had the spinach, chicken, and beef. One of each. All were bland in my opinion. The chicken a little dry and the shells themselves a bit hard and dry as well. Now the trio of chorizo, for a meat eater may have been decadent. Morsilla (blood sausage), a bit unpalatable for me probably because of my lack of love for all things meat and offal; Spanish Chorizo, which I am used to was the best flavor and textural; and a twist of a sausage unknown to me, again for me a bit too gamey but for the connesuier of meats may have been perfect. For the main course we shared the "Renzo's Parrilla" Seven different meats very appropriately served on a "Parrilla" or minitaure grill for the table; the Russian potato salad and platanos maduros (sweet plantains) for sides; and a plate of gnocchi with alfredo sauce. The churasco (skirt steak), my favorite cut, was very flavorful and well cooked along with all the other meats on the parilla. The chimichurri wasn't quite like mom makes it but it was mild enough for those not already aqcuainted with its pungent flavors. The alfredo sauce and gnocchi were satisfying, clearly homemade, a little tough but still great texture and flavor. We did try the homemade alfajor which I am also impartial to prior to this experience but it was very light and sweet, also denotes that it was homemade. Overall, for the lover of all things argentine this place is a winner, very eclectic in its authenticity and an enjoyable experience with atmosphere, waitstaff and patrons.

This place is amazing. I went here last night with twelve of my friends and had a great time. I ordered the skirt steak and yucca fries and both were amazing. I was able to try some of my other friends entrees and everything was so flavorful and tender. We also got to try one of their speciality deserts which was great!!! I will be back again soon!!

Loved it! So savory and absolutely delicious! We ordered The Mighty Renzo and Bife al Gaucho (skirt steak) and couldn't stop raving about them after every single bite! (In regard to the service, it was good and we had zero complaints. We had an early 11:30 lunch so it wasn't busy at all.) We can't wait to go back to try more items on the menu!

Renzo's is one of those places with the potential of really being great, but unfortunately there are some areas that prevent it from obtaining greatness. Renzo's is a place where you can go get Argentinian style steak for a fraction of the cost you would at one of the local Brazilian steak houses. They feature similar cuts of meat you would find at Texas de Brazil or Boizao, which includes the Brazilian cut picanca. My experience at Renzo's was not so spectacular. I ordered the picanca with a side salad, my friends ordered some empanadas, and an appetizer. The appetizer was 2 pieces of prosciutto, a big scoop of potato salad, and some other veggie for $10. It felt rather flat in taste and value. I got my picanha and even though I asked for medium, it was cooked well. Even though the picanha still tasted great, I felt the side salad which was just romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and few splashes of balsamic vinegar was just plain. On top of it all, the waiter forgot to bring the empanadas and we had to go upfront to request them. The empanadas were delicious but some of the varieties we wanted were not available. We had some of the deserts such as the flan and cannolis filled with chocolate and dulcer de leche. All of which were delicious. My overall of Renzo's is that it still needs a lot of polish. Despite what I considered some big mistakes, I still enjoyed the picanha and the wait staff were polite. I will probably go back for the fact that I am a picanha addict and Renoz's gives you a great deal. Hopefully over time they can make the adjustments to really make this place a go to eatery in Tampa Bay.

I was here on business and wanted to give this place a try based on other Yelp reviews. Awesome. I cam here on Halloween, so they were closing early. I think they normally close at 7 pm and were closing at 6pm. Thinking that since they were closing in 1/2 an hour, the food would be rushed I had some trepidation. But I ordered the Argentine vacio, with yucca fries and house salad. The salad was plain romaine lettice tomatoes and balsamic vinagrette. Nothing tooo great. But the main event, the vacio and the fries were great. The fries were perfectly golden, crispy outisde and tender and moist inside. The vacio was DEEEELICIOUS. The chimichurri sauce they had with it was some of thre best I have had---make that the best. Had the steak done to medium well and it was spot on. Tender and soo juicy. Slight charring to give it that yummy crispiness and slight saltiness around. The chimuchurri was an outstanding earthy compliment. I will definitetly try and go back. Service was polite and friendly. They had sports playing on their TVs and that was great. Very low-key atmosphere, clean, nice layout.

I absolutely love this place. The food is great , the portion size is fantastic and the service is fast. I always share the Renzo's Parrilla with my husband. It's a lot of food for not a lot of money; you get to taste the different meats that are available if you want a little of everything.

The food was good & if rating on food alone, then would rate much higher. But the service was a 1, so definitely rating lower. We had a reservation & was on time, and told to choose between 2 tables. We chose the table next to the wall because my spouse is almost partially deaf & so the wall helps shield the sound when possible. As the waitress was assisting us, another waitress came up and began speaking rapidly in her native language to our waitress - tone was harsh, appeared annoyed, she never smiled or acknowledged us. Our waitress was apologetic & translated that this table was for reservations only - we said we had a reservation, but she said it was for larger parties. My spouse explained about her hearing, but the waitress said sorry, we had to move. No problem, we were annoyed but fine & moved to another table with another waiter. Then within 60 seconds, another party of 2 sat down at the table we vacated. They remained there & were served by the same waitress that moved us. Even as I write this, no one ever apologized, explained, or even addressed it. We did receive an appetizer, which we later saw was not on our bill. Our assumption is it was provided because of this poor service, but frankly, we don't know if that was the case or if they normally provide food from the chef prior to our order. That's not uncommon in some of the restaurants we frequent, but I don't know if this is the normal case at Renzo's. It looks like it may be from some of these reviews. However, we were left to our own assumptions as no one ever mentioned it. The lady who originally told our waitress that we had to move did come by our table near the end & I thought this was where she would apologize & explain what happened; however, that was not the case. She asked "are we good." As I started to say something, she quickly asked if she could get us a box or were we still eating. I realized then that I misunderstood her & she wasn't referring to the early debacle but was asking if we were done eating. No one ever explained or apologized - that's customer service 101 & they totally missed the mark tonight. It would have been fine had they addressed it immediately, because we understand that things happen; but never addressing it at all was a customer service sin and totally unacceptable.

We had a couple of hours to kill before our flight out of Tampa and were very happy we Yelped ten minutes off the beaten path to find Renzo's. We were hungry and went for the specials. The Great Renzo hot sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had and my wife's NY strip was grilled to perfection.

Found this place thanks to Yelp! And I'm so happy I went! A very casual restaurant with simple food that is delicious. We had the Renzo's parrilla. A combination of chicken breast, boneless pork chop, churrasco, ribs, and flank steak and chorrizo....and we chose yuca fries and tostones for side dishes. The meat was very tasty and tender. The chimichurri is the best one I've had yet. The service was really good and the waiters were quite charmin. I also had their coffee, real spanish coffee! And we brought home some of their desserts. It was a pleasant surprise to see a real spanish bakery like the ones I grew up with. Desserts were good too. Next time I visit the are for sure will stop here.

The earlier Yelp reviews induced us to eat at Renzo's last night. And now I am not sure what my favorite Argentinian place is.....Renzo's or El Puerto. This is a great place, with in-house bakery, lots of low-priced wines, many Argentinian, fine sides and MEAT!!! Based on Yelp comments, we tried a mix of empanadas as appetizers.....some unusual filling variations and all excellent. My wife & I split a meat sampler (perrilada) for two at about $25, with yucca fries and other nice sides. There were 3 varieties of beef steak, plus chicken breast & chorizo....and the fries came with a small bowl of chimichurri sauce.....which would make styrofoam peanuts taste great. And consistent with euro-eclectic Argentiniam cuisine, they offer a number of pasta dishes, particulary ravioli, tortellini and other stuffed pasta. The bakery offers baguettes and french pastries. The meats came on a mini-grill for table-side self service, so everyone got to sample, plus we took home today's lunch contents. Also took home one of the fine creamy desserts from an extensive menu....and they have display cases so you can ogle the desserts. Service was most excellent----friendly, patient, explanatory, helpful, attentive without smothering. And they were quite busy with most tables filled and preparing for a large banquet party. The ambience is clean & nice if a bit stark, but the welcome, the prices and the food makes this a destination to repeat. And I choose to regard this as a West Tampa Jewel....and the never-NOK-South-Tampa crowd can still patronize since it is on the South side of Kennedy Blvd.

Having been to Buenos Aires three times- I am a fan of Argentinian food. However, that also makes me a harsh critic of an inadequate representation. Renzo's is one of my favorite spots in Tampa. Down to earth (the inside looks like a cafeteria- which is consistent with a late night foodery in BA). Reasonable cost- a full BBQ grill of five different cuts of steak for $30 (feeds 2+). Excellent, friendly service- iclusding the owner. Been there, been back, will go many times more! Unfortunately, the much advertised paella is not very good, stick with the steak!

My husband and I here for the first time this weekend and really enjoyed it! The service was friendly and helpful and the good was very good. We got the sampler for two so we could try a variety of the meats and it was plenty of food. Our favorites were the chicken and flank steak and the chimichurri sauce was delicious. The yucca fries were also very good. We will definitely be returning!

Went here last week with my mom and boyfriend for lunch. Great food! My boyfriend got the churrasco, which definitely lived up to our expectations. It was tender and flavorful. We paired the churrasco with the fried plantains, which were delicious! They were on the sweet side, so if you want something saltier with your food, probably not the right choice. Personally, I thought they were great and some of the best I've ever tried. My mother ordered the milanesa with a side of yuca fries. The fries were SO good; I would highly recommend them. The milanesa was so-so, but the truth is, I am not really one for milanesa, i.e. I've never had one that I thought was anything but so-so. I got some beef empanadas. The pastry dough was made to perfection. The beef was nicely seasoned. I would have liked some potatoes or olives or other veggies mixed in (other empanadas I've had have incorporated more than meat in their fillings), but that aside, they were very enjoyable. We bought several desserts to sample: the milojas, an alfajor, and the majar blanco. Majar blanco was the best-- would go nicely with some fruit. The alfajor was a little too crumbly and cakey than what I am used to, but not bad. Enjoyable experience overall. Helpful staff. Good food. Good price.

So far: Full of win Argentinean style eatery (new to me, I'm fluent in Brazilian food, this is similar - many of the same European influences) with a nice selection of comestibles. They have pichana! Had an empenada the other day (ham and ricotta) loved the browned/glazed crust, full of meat & cheese, but a tad on the salty side (kind of expected, frankly) Today, I had the lunch special (6.99 for a huge daily special) Chicken breast with mushroom sauce, and the yuca fries as my side. Yum. I asked for no added salt, and this entree came out perfect. The chicken is presalted for cooking, but a heavy hand was not in evidence, for which I am very thankful. The interior is a bit spartan (formica tables & stack chairs) with a nice meat counter, a wine section and a wine room with what I would guess are the higher end bottles. There is the ubiquitous big flat screen TV - I'm guessing for soccer games. Personally I find TVs in restaurants annoying, but they seem to be everywhere. At least the music was on and I could just ignore the TV. Downsides: Just a couple of small things - the knife they gave me looks like it would be great for beef, but it totally sucked for cutting chicken breast. It shredded the meat instead of cutting it. I took home a tiramisu that was a bit dry - seems the desserts don't turn over as fast as they should, so be mindful of that if you order one. The menu has a large selection of Euro friendly choices - I will definitely be back soon.

This was our 2nd visit. Food is overall very good, but service is terrible. We also asked to substitute vegetables for fries for my kid's meal and they refused. I know the menu says no substitutions, but really? Didn't bring out meals together and brought half the meals out before the appetizer. My wife's white wine was also very warm. Not a good experience. We won't be back.

My friend was driving me to the airport and we found this place! It was really good with friendly service. The decor needs help but the place is clean. We are visiting Tampa from Los Angeles CA and last night we had the opportunity to try this restaurant. I'm pleasantly surprised of Renzo's, a very layback restaurant, not fancy at all, with flavors of what I thought it was Argentinean but no since owner is born and raised in Venezuelan son of Uruguayan, I must say this is the most flavorful and tasty meal I had so far in my visit to Tampa. The entire meal was a success, started with a Caprese salad with a twist, it has sliced avocado around.. yummm! then Parrilla Argentina just like its done in Venezuela warm in the portable grilled served in the middle of the table family style, I ordered a Morcilla on the side and it tasted like I remembered, very good!!! side dishes: Fried Yuca, Tostones, chimichurri (which tasted like guasacaca) and they have 2 sauces on the table Pink sauce( ketchup/mayo) and Tartar or Garlic (not sure) but I must say it was super TASTY. To drink my husband had Polar Beer and I had Wine, to finish the dinner we had this amazing desert called Chajá y a couple alfajores with coconut. OMG!! What a meal!!! Renzo is an incredible host, he was super friendly, we were watching Miss Universe and he sat with us and cheer for our favorite which got 3rd place :(. Cant wait to be back...!!!

My wife and I happened on Renzo's in January, 2012, shortly after it opened. The decor is unprepossessing, but the food was wonderful -- reminiscent of the better meals we had on a trip to Buenos Aries a few years ago. Prompt and friendly service and quite reasonable prices. Back in Tampa nearly a year later we paid a return visit. No disappointments; the food, and service was still excellent and the prices still moderate. We particularly enjoyed the skirt steak entrana. Oh, and the house-made flan is marvelous. Rich, firm and not overly sweet. The side dishes are all carefully prepared and tasty. The wine list is pretty basic, but we enjoyed the Malbec we were served. Whenever we're in Tampa, we'll make a point of visiting Renzo's.

The mighty Renzo, a steak sandwich with a slice of hard-boiled egg? Who knew? I thought it was delicious. The sandwiches were priced well, but it was a little expensive for their entrees for a lunch menu. I would go back.

  • Jeff C.

Being a fan of Argentine steakhouses all over the world, Renzo's was a must try. I've had a couple of dinners here now and am very pleased with the quality, flavor, and value. The service is friendly even if it is pretty causal. The go-to item on the dinner menu in my opinion is the Parrilla - a mixed grill of beef, chicken, pork, and chorizo. It comes out on a table top sterno grill, and there's plenty of food for two. Great price at 29.95 (it's designed for two people). Get it with a salad and the tostones and you're all set. I'm pretty sure they serve only beer and wine, but frankly, anything else would take away from the food.

I will go out of my way to find an authentic Argentine restaurant and Renzo is the real thing! It isn't fancy but the quality of the food, the portions and atmosphere make it a super value. Wine list...who needs one when you can go to the back and see their retail sale wines on shelves to personally select your bottle. The vintages are older than the typical too young 2010-11 most often found at retail, the Argentine selection is varied and the $6 corkage fee reasonable. As with most reviews, I concur that the mixed grill is a must...the cuts are typical and very tasty beef. The morcilla blood sausage was very good, although the choriso leaving a little to be desired. The empanadas were well prepared, but less authentic than I had hoped. I plan to return for a milanesa and to try their pasta, especially the gnocci...I have high expectations! You must at least look at the desert display...I got a sugar & dulce de leche high just looking! And yes...the tv had a football game on in the rear...otherwise it wouldn't have been an authentic experience!

Amazing! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu and it's cheap with huge portions.

This was the second time I've had Argentinian food, and I have to say, I'm a fan! This place is really good, tasty food for a price that's reasonable, and what more can you ask for? It's a sit-down restaurant and the atmosphere is somewhere between deli and cafe, but more relaxed and fun. They have a little bakery counter right when you walk in, as other reviewers have mentioned, and while I didn't try any of their baked goods, they certainly looked delicious! I went hungry, so my husband and I ordered two appetizers and two entrees, so we could try a few things. The antipasto is great (who doesn't love prosciutto?) and plentiful. I also ordered the caprese salad, and it was wonderful! I'm picky about my tomatoes (I LOVE them and want them to be GOOD), so for me, this was kind of a litmus test for the restaurant. The churrasco was very flavorful and quite delicious. If you order one thing here, make it the churrasco. I also got the lemon chicken breast and it was extremely well-prepared, juicy and gigantic. Seriously, this chicken was the size of the plate. As far as the sides go, get the yucca fries, you won't regret it! Sweet plantains were good, not great... Although I recently had the absolute best sweet plantains I've ever had at Pico Rojo, so I might be spoiled! They don't have any brewed tea or fountain soda (just cans and bottles) but they do have wine, so that was a pleasant surprise! They also sell bottles of wine, with quantity-scaled discounts. All in all, this was a great experience and I know I'll be back.

This place is amazing, very authentic, wonderful food (we had the meat assortment and a very fresh piece of chorizo), very charming and GREAT wine! Such a value! We will be coming back again, very soon!

We have only been to Renzo's once so far but plan to return again, and again. No drama here....casual atmosphere ,good service, and all around reasonable prices. But more importantly Great Food, and that's what it boils down to! The churrasco was awesome!

I've honestly never had Argentinian food before but this place is awesome. Decided to go dine out with the in-laws this evening and this place was suggested by my father-in-law. The restaurant is in a deli/bakery-type setting. The service is very attentive and our server even politely picked up my mother-in-law's purse which had fallen and placed it on a chair he pulled up just for her purse. The portions are large, the food is eyes-rolling-in-the-back-of-your-head nom, the servers and other staff are quite friendly and it's all pretty cheap! The best pork I've had in a while, and coming from a hardcore carnivore with high standards for meat-type dishes (there's no other way to put this without it sounding like a Beavis & Butthead joke) this place met my standards and then some. I didn't try anything from their bakery, but just the look of some of their cakes alone looks like a professional cake decorator's bakery. If their baked goods taste anywhere as good as they look then I know where I will be ordering my next fancy-pinky cake.

Was pretty excited to try this place given the extensive menu. My significant other tried the chicken salad, and I opted for a ham and cheese empanada and Pechuga de Pollo with traditional Yucca. Service from the cashier was friendly and she was polite and thorough with explaining the menu. All negative once I tried the empanada as an appetizer. Was dry, and had little filling inside. Mostly air. I chalked it up to sitting under the heat lamp for too long. Our food then arrived shortly after ordering, and my chicken was well overcooked and had no flavor. The Yucca was very dry with no flavor as well. Bummer - looked forward to authentic Yucca. Her salad was ok - pretty bland as well, but she ate it nonetheless. I could'nt finish more than two bites of mine. At this point a second try on the house at some other time would have brought the rating up to 4; but the gentleman who I'm assuming is some type of owner / manager asked how our food was - and I honestly told him was not good at all. No offer to remove it from my bill, or ask to come try them again on the house, or even a replacement meal. Just a "sorry" as he walked away. Being in the service industry for 10 years makes you cringe when this happens. Treat me with respect - I'll try you again, and possibly spread the good word to a few. And will come back with hopes of reporting a better experience. Treat me such as this guy did, and I'll tell everyone I know to stay away.

It is one if the best resturant In the area. I hardly recommend it for people who like argentine style stakes. Me any my friends we almost dine in once a week. Don't miss the good food here.

I really enjoyed my meal. A simple chicken breast grilled in oils and sauces, topped with churrasco. It was delicious. It sort of felt like home cooking, in the sense that I wasn't tied to entree, starch, vegetable. Tiffany B's sentence, "It's simple done very, very right." is spot on. I will be back to Renzo's.

Renzo's was fantastic. We went here after a suggestion from the SB Spa. The people were extremely friendly the minute we walked in the door. We didn't know what a lot of the food was so we were asking a lot of questions. They were very patient and nice. The prices were great also for a steak. It was a casual atmosphere which was extremely nice. The owner actually brought us free dessert. It was my first Argentinian food experience, but it won't be my last.

Renzo's is the 'go to' place for steaks with a South American flava'. They serve brunch on Saturday's and Sunday's until 2 p.m. I tried The Mighty Renzo's Breakfast for $12 along with a cafe con leche. The Mighty Renzo Breakfast consists of a 10-oz picanha grilled sirloin, ham, bacon, melted Swiss cheese and red roasted peppers served on top of seasoned potatoes with arepa, or white bread. The staff is always friendly and you can listen to South American beats in the background while catching your favorite soccer team over large screen televisions strategically placed at various locations.

First I want to say that it's not a 4 stars because of the price. Have been coming here for lunch since I moved to Tampa and I've always liked it - being a latino and for someone that enjoys a good meat, this place is perfect. The only problem is that every time I go there, I feel that the prices went up. Also, one of my favorites things is not on lunch special anymore: Picanha with 2 sides... too bad. Their deserts are really good too and they have a variety of pastries that are freshly made. One last thing: If you want to try an authentic Uruguayan sandwich, you have to go with the mighty renzo's - it's a giant sandwich with meat, salad, egg e a few more things - delicious!

This was by far my favorite restaurant that I visited while on my Tampa trip. I still think of this food and if I lived remotely close to this place I would eat here a minimum of once per week. When I think of Argentine Steakhouse I think of those crazy places that walk around the tables with meat on skewers where you eat so much you want to throw up. This is not this place. The servers are super friendly and you order off of a menu. The atmosphere is pretty casual, but the food is fantastic. I bet you could come back and try several different items and they'd all be good, but I went with my friend's suggestion and would probably order the same thing if I ever returned. We both got the Churrasco de Entraña, which is essentially skirt steak. The most delicious skirt steak that I had ever tasted in my life. They came with these great Yucca fries which had this amazing sauce - I could eat those yucca fries for days. We also shared an appetizer which really made this meal nothing short of mind-blowing. It was called Provoletta Parrillera, which is this ceramic dish filled with these little cheese balls and spices. You pop out a little ball and eat it with bread...and then you die a happy person. Not really, but I don't think it would be possible for me to come here and not order this. OMG.... I finished off the meal with their homemade Tres Leches. It was pretty darn good, and they had several other desserts that looked amazing as well. I only wish that I lived here so that I could become a regular at this place - I tell you if I did, they'd know me by name here. After all of that - this place is incredibly inexpensive. I felt like with the quality and amount of food I had that I had robbed them for sure.

On recommendations from several people I decided to give Renzo's a try. I walked in on a Monday evening and it was pretty light. I grabbed a seat at the bar (because I was alone and didn't really need an entire table to myself). There were a couple of things I knew, without looking at the menu, that I knew I had to sample. Of course, a good Argentine Malbec and some empanadas. Anything else would just be icing on the cake. So, I sat at the bar and ordered a glass of Malbec only to find out they don't have many by the glass options. I wasn't too thrilled about that because I just wanted a glass or 2 but certainly wanted some options. The server then told me they have a standard house Malbec that they offer by the glass. I ordered that and it was actually pretty good which was surprising. Most of the time, house wines are horrible. I ordered milanesa and yucca fries and it took everything in me to not plow through everything. I really had to pace myself and eat like a lady but it was hard because it was so good. The steak was nicely breaded and the breading actually stuck on the meat! I then ordered the empanadas and I almost cried because they were so tasty. I mean they were "I need a moment of silence" good. So well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The dough wasn't burned or soggy. They were just perfect. The server was nice and overall I really liked this place. Since I have to go back to Tampa soon I know one place I'll definitely be heading back to.

Oh my God!!! What's there not to love about this place... We had the Renzo's parrilla, which was really delicious, but their yucca fries are to die for -specially with the garlic sauce and the chimichurri sauce... Will be going back for more.. Wish they had a spot in SoCal

My brother took me here when I had visited Tampa. This is an interesting establishment. They have a wine shop in the back and the tables are filled with a diverse crowd. Young couples, families and meat heads. The mixed grill platter is great not just for taste but also for value. Get the mashed potatoes as a side. You will not be disappointed. Too bad my brother has relocated to New York so I won't get to go anytime soon. Renzo's, if you ever expand here; I'll visit you every week.. and bathe in your chimichurri.

This may not be a fancy or first date material restaurant but great food and customer friendly prices definitely will bring us back for more. The meats were well seasoned and the sides were delicious. The chimichurri sauce was very yummy and balanced, although it had too much olive oil for my taste, so I had to use a fork to avoid dumping all the oil onto my plate. We ordered the gnoochi as a side to share and it was a hit at the table. They have a variety of Argentinian desserts to choose from. I'm looking forward to trying them all as I return in the near future. The only thing I wish they would do is to use better quality eggs, cage free & vegetarian fed, because you can definitely taste the difference in the fried eggs and desserts.

I'm a fan of Renzo's! Obi Wan and I splitted appetizers: 3 empanadas and a sausage platter. That was a great start! Chicken, beef and spinach empanadas with chimichurri...tasty. Blood sausage and two types of chorizo with great flavor and non-super-fatty. I could always come back here for mid afternoon snack (and a beer). Then I had the Brazilian Picanha and it was delicious and tender. The portion size was excellent, definitely bigger than the average restaurants in the same price range ($13). If anything, I ordered it "medium" and I didn't think it was medium but I didn't say anything as I enjoyed bite after bite. I am used to get a little pink in my picanha but I understand that different cooking methods (or marinade) don't allow for that. Steve's choice looked really good and he seemed happy with his side dish: sautéed spinach. It looked like a lot of spinach. As a side I had the potato salad (rusa), not because I'm a big fan but it's a staple at an Argentinian restaurant. I will come back here and try their other cuts. They have the Parrilladas that I saw in other tables and seemed like a good choice for one of those days when you don't have to work afterwards and take a mandatory nap (they serve sizzling meat on a small grill on your table). The service was very good and they accommodated us quickly on a Friday lunch busy time.

I wasn't as blown away as I thought I would be. Maybe it's because we went during off hours...or Linner. So, for an appetizer we had the Provoleta Parrillera, which is melted provolone cheese with spices that you eat with bread. I'm a cheese lover, so I loved it...but at the end of the day, it was just melted cheese wtih olive oil and oregano. The main course was Parrilla Solo Carne. This is 4 types of beef: skirt steak, flank steak, short ribs and sirloin. All of these meats tend to be tough if you don't cook it right...and that's exactly what it was...tough meat. However, I must say it was well seasoned meat. So, the flavor was good and the presentation was nice as it came out on a mini grill. I will try it again during normal lunch or dinner hours to give it a second chance. They got the flavors right. I was just turned off by tough meat.

I LITERALLY JUST SAID "RENZO'S" ALL BREATHY and Soft like people do when they're in love and dreaming about the object of their desire. Haaaa How have I been slacking on writing this? Renzo's is another yelp GEM I found from reading my friend's reviews. (You gotta do that, people. You'll then find who is always on target. I have several names that I look for as An official stamp of approval) It's on my way home from work and I've stopped in twice and to get take out. Would you believe me if I told you that food is so good that I didn't even sit down before I DUG INTO IT?? YEP, THAT HAPPENED. I've had the picanha and the Churrasco, with Yucca fries and sautéed spinach. They were both good. But, the Churrasco was better! It was just AHHHH. SO GOOOD!! (Picanha was my favorite choice in Brazil though. I expected better) I'm not even a big steak girl, either. Those yucca fries are KILLER!!! I could eat them all day. The spinach is also a winner. The food comes out relatively fast for a takeout order. You will not be disappointed with good ole RENZO'S, if Argentinean is your thing! Note: Renzo's is one of those places that has FOOD and service OVER décor and ambiance. (Like several other places I've been) However, I've only been here right after work. I'm substituting juice for 2 of my meals per day now. But, if I wasn't, I'd STILL GIVE RENZO'S the business ON THE REGULAR!!

So glad I came here for dinner. We got complimentary empanadas because it was totally our first time being in the area and in the restaurant! I had a steak (top sirloin) sandwich for dinner. It was a decent price $10 and it was delicious and cooked perfectly. There were so many yummy sounding things on the menu that I really wanted everything. My boyfriend had something with steak, ham, and egg on top, which was pretty amazing as well. They have beer, and a big selection of wine. I had a south American beer called Polar which was pretty decent. The server was friendly, and attentive. He thanked us for visiting and welcomed us to come back again.

Loved it! First time going to Renzo's on Friday after month's of driving past it on my way home. The words "passion for meat and wine" kept calling my name. The dining area is interesting, no booths, just a small area with a series of tables and chairs. A bar to your right accompanied with televisions to watch the soccer game. And at the back of the dinning area a wall lined with wine bottles for your purchase. The wait staff was friendly and we were promptly welcomed at the door and waited a brief time to be seated. I ordered the flank steak with spinach and an additional side of yuca, paired with whatever the house red was for the night. The steak was phenomenal, beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth good. The sides were great too. I got the traditional yuca, but some of the other diners highly recommended to get it fried next time. My friend also had the steak, but with a side of mashed potatoes which he raved about. We were very happy with everything we ordered. For dessert we got the flan, which was the perfect end to the dining experience, not too sweet but satisfactory. We got three meals and alcohol for around $60. The wait staff was efficient and friendly and the food is definitely worth a second try.

Food was so satisfying. Put the chimichurri on everything, but seriously, just drink it. Got the provolone appetizer, parilla for 2 and a bottle of wine for around $50. Great deal and good service. And did I mention the chimichurri?

It was Saturday night and my lovely date and I were searching for an interesting place to have dinner before she had to go in to work. We were cruising along Kennedy and spotted the sign for Renzo's Argentinian Grilled Steaks -- SOLD!!!!! Renzo's is a combination Argentinian restaurant, wine shop, gourmet market, and European bakery all in one. You'll find the restaurant mid-way between Dale Mabry and Himes Avenue along Kennedy -- directly across the street from the Lemon Grass Thai Kitchen. They been open a few years and have a very loyal following. I had a glass of one of their spectacular Malbec wines with paired perfectly with the grilled red meats. We split their homemade Chorizo appetizer which was the traditional seasoned and smoked pork sausage served with chimichurri dipping sauce. Seriously yummy! For my main course I had the Churrasco de Entraña which was grilled skirt steak served with sautéed spinach and more of that amazing homemade chimichurri sauce. Brittany had their steak salad which had the same grilled skirt steak on top of leafy greens with bacon, diced eggs, and sliced almonds For the carnivores in the group, Renzo's serves some seriously huge grilled meat platters including the Renzo's Parrilla which is a seven-meat sampler that includes Entraña, Vacio, Asado de Tira, Picanha, Chorizo, Grilled Chicken Breast and a Boneless Pork Chop. Let the oinking begin now! We saw a lot of people ordering these monstrous meat platters and then dividing the food between a big table of family members. Now since the restaurant also includes a European bakery, I knew that Britt had her heart set on one of their scrumptious desserts, and sure enough the waitress talked us in to ordering something called Chaja. This amazing dessert is made with Angel Food cake, ladyfingers, whipped cream, canned peaches, and meringue. It is similar to tiramisu but sooooooooo much more delicious. You really need to stop in and order this some afternoon. The servers were super friendly and helpful, and we had a very wonderful meal.

Casual, I stress casual good find. I suppose if you're looking for good ambience you will be desiring much more here. I personally could care less. Clean? yes. Good meat? yes. We had Renzo's Parrilla and at $30 it was great. Meats were well seasoned, spinach was great, yucca fries were nothing special. We all had desserts too, heard the flan was great along with the coconut cake. Creme brulee was a bit too much for myself. Also worth checking out the wine room. I'll be back!

Based on our first lunch here, I can't wait to go back for dinner. The executive lunch special was amazing and very reasonably priced. We ventured out and tried their signature dessert which I don't think I can adequately describe but it had peaches and meringue in there. It is amazing! Will bring a date next time.

This place is interesting, though some previous reviews seemed over hyped to me. Renzo's is an uncommon blend of casual and gourmet, with a stronger emphasis on casual than the gourmet. The best thing we had was the mighty Renzo sandwich. This is truly a creation to behold, though not for the feint of heart. As a diet buster meal, this is a good option. My son had the chicken Milanese, which was also very good. Curiously, I was most disappointed by what I took to be the signature dishes: bread with chimichurri sauce for dipping and the Argentinian flank steak. The chimichurri comprised a clear thin oil base lacking in herbs and flavor. Way out of proportion and far too oily for me (not even sure if this was high quality olive oil due to clear color). I made the mistake of dumping this over my flank steak, completely greasing what was otherwise a respectable if uninspired entry to the Tampa steak scene. But worse, the quality of the dipping bread (same as bread used in sandwiches) was unacceptable for a restaurant positioning itself as a high end bakery. White, spongey, soft crust (previously frozen?) dinner rolls, suitable for a New England steak & cheese from the corner sandwich shop. Not what I was expecting, further highlighting the oily and disappointing chimichurri dipping sauce. Nonetheless, Renzo's earns three stars for its concept, valiant efforts, friendly and hospitable staff, as well as a quite good Chaja cake that we ate to end the meal. Also, the french fries were very good. Nice effort!

Absolutely phenomenal! The mighty renzo sandwich is a must have. Also, the capresara salad and the potato gnocchi with Alfredo. House malbec isn't bad. It's the only red by the glass extensive wine menu. Love it!

Shame on me for not writing a review sooner. I've been to Renzo's over half a dozen times in as many months, and it has never failed to be amazing. The food and service is outstanding. My favorite dish is Renzo's Parilla. Cooked to a perfect medium rare. It is seasoned just right and with sides of fried yucca and sautéed spinach, along with a glass of their house Malbec, you feel like you are in Argentina. Their empanadas, deserts and coffee are outstanding also. One of Tampa's hidden gems. Run don't walk into Renzo's.

So it finally happened. The Chica and I finally made it to Renzo's, but it wasn't without detours along the way. Our first stop was actually Datz because we were right down the street--they were closed. 2nd stop was Kombo Kitchen--they were closed. "Let's travel up Dale Mabry," I said. We pulled into the Tahitian Inn to try their world famous burger--closed for a private party. Jesus chrispies, are you kidding me? How hard is it to spend your money in this town on a Sunday afternoon? Then, La Chica utters the words, "Ya know, Renzo's is around the corner. They close at 8 PM" Sold and SOLD! We walked in and I found the place to be simple. No design frills here, folks. This place is all about the food. The time was about 4 PM and we were the only patrons. I couldn't help but wonder why they had so many staff members working; the place was DEAD. Well, let me tell you, by the time we finished eating, the place was jam packed. I guess we just beat the rush. We ordered the Provoleta Parrillera (small) to start, a glass of wine and a Quilmes beer. "We're all out of Quilmes, sorry." No big deal since I'd never even had that beer. So I ordered a Presidente. "We're all out of Presidente, sorry." Ended up with a Bud Light. As for the baked cheese, it was pretty good. It was served with some warm rolls, but I'd advise staying away from any appetizers because the meat parade will be plenty. We decided to take on the Renzo's Parrilla, which is described as a "Seven Meat Sampler for Two." It was 4 different cuts of steak, chorizo, chicken breast and two boneless pork chops. We added some morcilla for an additional $2.50. All of the selections were fantastic. I wasn't sure which cut of beef was which, but one definitely stood out. I should have asked what it was. Second best was the chicken. I'm not quite sure how they grilled that thing up and managed to keep it so juicy. For the sides, we had some win and some fail. The spinach was amazeballs, but the potato salad left me feeling sad and betrayed. Wine, beer, soda, baked cheese, lots of meat and two sides for around $50. What a steal. We will definitely be back.

Personally know the owner and his family. Renzo is an awesome host and anytime we come here we just let him order for us. Love the casual atmosphere, the music, the meat (ah-mah-zing), the pasta (made from scratch if I might add), salads, the desserts (im a sucker for their Tiramisu). I love everything about this place. The customer service is great and I always recommend this place. Love Renzo's. Dont need a reservation and its really casual.

Renzos is a solid option for good Argentinian food. Perfect stop for all you carnivores. They offer a variety of meat platters at a decent price (could be better for the quality) good enough for two or three people. The food was good. Did it blow me away? No. Was it good enough to go back? Yes. I reserve my five stars for the flawless experience. It's gotta hit a nerve. Ordered a good amount of food to get a little bit of everything. Didn't try any of the sandwiches, but almost wish I did, they looked and smelled delicious as the server walked by with other people's orders. Anyway, the location is good, could use better parking. My server was ok, not as attentive as I had hoped, he was probably new with the company, noticed he had a hard time opening a wine bottle as well. He put in a solid effort though and seemed to know the menu well, gave some good suggestions. Renzos took over an Ethiopian restaurant that was nothing short of excellent. Anyhow, check out Renzos, if in the area and in the mood for Argentinian food, a very solid four stars for Renzos.

Are you prone to meat sweats? If you are craving heaping piles of well-seasoned meat on a candle heated griddle, this is the place for you. Also, the service is some of the best for this casual price range, locally owned, and atmosphere in Tampa Bay. Served up with the house-made chimichurri herb sauce, that takes the charred meats over the top. Unless you are coming for lunch, the best special is around $28 and is a sampler of all types of meat served. All of the cuts of beef offered are my faves, because I love fatty beef like; short ribs, ribeye, and skirt steak. The chicken served is white meat, and too healthy for my taste. Sides include spinach covered in garlic, but it has a tang to it that is closer to collard greens than spinach. There are also various forms of plantains and yucca. All served up with more house sauces. I am not obsessed with the Chaja, which is; soft layered cake covered in sweet cream with crumbled meringue on top. Hidden in the middle are walnuts and mixed dried fruits.

This is the type of food I can see myself craving. It's simple done very, very right. I ordered a beef empanada and their chorizo sandwich. The empanada was surprisingly moist & flavorful- most empanadas I've had have been dry and quite bland, but this was a good one! The chorizo sandwich was amaaaaazing. Everything on the sandwich worked together perfectly. I added a little garlic aioli and hot sauce from the condiment bar & hot damn! It was just perfection. Best part? The empanada was $2 and the sandwich was only $5! Yes! If they rocked my world with a simple sandwich, I can't WAIT to go back & see what they can do with dinner!

Good sandwiches, good meats, good desserts, excellent empanadas. The only time I was ever disappointed was when I received a laughable little plate of cheese ravioli for $12 and left hungry. Their chicken empanadas are fantastic.

Very average food. I ordered Renzo's parilla and most of the beef cuts had a lot of fat so ultimately it wasn't as meaty as I expected for the price. I had a ham and cheese empanada which arrived to my table stiff and at room temperature. I asked my server if she could warm it up and she said yes but brought it back in the same condition. The empanada was very bland overall Refills are not free. I got a refill on my coke and got charged for two. I would not recommend this place

Best parillada ever! If you are a fanatic of grilled meats, South American style, this is your spot! We ordered the Parilla for 2 with tostones and yucca fries as sides and it was amazing! The wine selection is very varied and awesome! The owner interacts with the clients and the staff is friendly and quick with the service. The pastries are fresh and amazing, especially the cañon with dulce de leche. If grilled meats is your taste, definitely come here!

Why 5 stars? Because Argentina is winning my heart. --- --- --- I think Argentinian food is now officially my favorite of all-time. The churrasco....OH THE CHURRASCO!!! I will say this, I have had a better Churrasco. Not much better, but it Renzo's has been topped. The chimichurri was good, but definitely more oily than I am used to. I couldn't decide if I liked that more or not. It was interesting, but a bit too greasy. However, the overall experience at Renzo's is more highly superb in many ways: 1) Renzo's service is extremely quick. I love El Puerto to death, but the food takes painfully long to come out. Our meal at Renzo's was ready in 1/4th the time. 2) The portions are manageable. A lot of similar Latin restaurants have portions so large that you end up eating twice what you should.....and then it's sleepy time. Not that one should complain about "too much food," but I don't have the willpower to put my fork down when something tasty is in front of me. I need the restaurant to do my thinking for me when it comes to portion control! 3) Renzo's doubles as a store. They sell meat, wine and other various items. I was incredibly excited to be able to purchase myself some Churrasco de Entrana, the seasoning AND the chimichurri that they use at the restaurant! I was surprised that they were willing to give up their "secret recipe" and sell me all of the ingredients like that. But regardless, I made myself some churrasco tonight and it was good. It was not Renzo's, El Puerto or Arco Iris quality, but it was solid. I would rate my own cooking 3 stars. Decent flavor, but the server was a real jerk. :) 4) I was too full during my first visit for dessert, but I stopped back in a couple days later and had to try one of their desserts that looked so phenomenal, I hadn't stopped thinking about it since I I first laid my eyes on it about 48 hours prior. It was called Postre Chaja. I am happy to report that it tasted every bit as awesome as it looked. Wow, was in unbelievable! It's described as vanilla cake, caramel milk, peaches, walnuts and chantilly cream with meringue on top. Renzo's is officially on my favorites list! I drove right past it for 5 years without having any idea what I was missing!

I came to Renzo's after a long day at work hungry as ever and excited for a lovely evening at the live theatre. I had been wanting to go to Renzo's for some time now and I was finally able to make it in. I was exceptionally pleased at my first visit. Inside, Renzo's is very well presented. It has a cool casual feel with a counter that allows busy-like-folk to carry out and go on their way, but also an evening dinner set-up that is inviting and calm. I felt they did this well, because it was not chaotic and alarming, but smooth and cordial. There is also a cool set up of wines in the back, La Vinoteca, an interesting addition to the eatery. I was thrilled to have walked into such an environment! Then came the food. The food... was good. I tried different dishes of meats and steaks and empanadas that were cooked well and had great flavors. My entree is what called to me, though, as I ordered the Alfredo drowned Gnoochi that was out of this world amazing! I believe they make it in house, and it tastes totally fresh. I was pleased with the dish and it was all paired perfectly well with our Argentinian Red wine that was fantastic. Our server was very courteous and inviting, as well, a definite plus to the experience on that evening. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Renzo's. They are an authentic Argentinian eatery that definitely has a lot to offer to Tampa. Their food is cooked exceptionally well, and the servie is beyond this world friendly. I plan on coming back and trying out some of their other dishes and tasting some of their other wines as well. Definitely a new favorite for me in town!

Argentinian steak and European bakery treats? I'm in! We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was packed, but the service was pleasantly quick despite the crowd. I ordered the Renzo's Panino that consisted of fresh prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula and tomatoes. My sister got the Argentine Vacio (grilled flank steak) with a side of french fries. The food was hot, delicious, and promptly served by our friendly waitress. Sadly I had no room for dessert, but I will be sure to stop back for some tirramisu. Can't beat the prices; $8 for my sandwich and chips and $13 for my sisters steak. There are so many tasty options on the menu so I will have to return to try more of the menu soon!

Hmm Hmm Hmm, this place is great if you want your steak. This is a very casual spot, not like a fancy fancy place but it is oh so good. We had a combination plate with every type of beef available as well as chicken pork and sausage. Everything we had was so memorable, and I can definitely come back here. They also have outside seating so it is just the place where I will come back since we can have our dog with us.

My husband took me here for lunch on a whim-he had passed it and thought I would like it. I was excited to try somewhere new and when I walked in and saw all the wine I was like, "Score!" I went for the Renzo Panini (Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Arugula, Tomato) and it was so yummy! The bread was good, it wasn't huge, it was only $7 and it came with some chips. Hubby got a steak panini and he really enjoyed it! Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Atmosphere 4/5 Wish it was a little more upscale---cloth napkins and better ambiance would be nice, and you have to buy a bottle of wine to drink wine (or so it seemed).

Wow! So delicious and service was fast and friendly!! Planning my next trip already and it's out of my way to get here. Got the classic churrasco and the short ribs. Both were very flavorful and tender. Good quality$4 wine knocked it out of the park for us!

Great Latin food with a family feel to it. Service is also very good and they have the best yuca frita with garlic sauce!

I eat here 1-2 days a week. I have never had a bad meal. The meat is always cooked to perfection. Servers are friendly and attentive. No attitude just great food. Flavors truly reflect their culture.

You just cant beat the price and quality of this place!! Awesome service and great food. Streak is high quality. 24 ounces for $31!!! Enough for 3 big eaters plus 2 sides. Do not expect a charlies or flemmings atmosphere. Do expect a friendly, clean, nice place. I love this place! Check it out!!

My mother and I ordered the parilla that included various cuts of steak and chicken. It tasted phenomenal. Spiced just right and cooked to perfection. We had delicious yucca fries. My wife ordered a skirt steak topped with ham, cheese, and bacon with a side of yucca fries. My wife enjoyed it tremendously. The blend of flavors were perfect. We ordered a wonderful dessert that consists of white cake, caramel, pecans , peaches, and whipped cream. Overall a wonderful experience. Service was wonderful as well. You won't be disappointed.

We went here last Friday night for dinner and loved it. We got the 4 steak grill thing to share, and all of the meats were AMAZING!! Each cut was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We got the yucca fries and sautéed spinach for our two sides. I thought the yucca fries were some kind of specialty creation involving French fries, but not so much. They were ok, but next time I think I'll get regular fries or mashed potatoes. The spinach was really good. I used some of their sauce for the meat, which added to the already amazing flavor. We left full and with leftovers, which I enjoyed again later that night. My daughter had the chicken nuggets and French fries, as they have choices just for kids. I want to come back and try one of the sandwiches one day. It's not really a huge place, but there are lots of tables. Parking can be impossible (as we found on our failed first attempt to go here the previous Friday afternoon), so get here before it fills up. There is also outside seating available. The only reason that I'm not giving 5 stars is because we were less than impressed with the service that we received, but perhaps it was an anomaly based on what I hear in other reviews. If you've never been here, or even if you have, I highly recommend this place.

I had the churassaco with sweet plantains and tostones. Remind me of my country back home in Nicaragua. The steak was juicy and to die for. I'll be coming back to eat here again. I didn't even know the place existed until my friend told me about it. I drive by it every day on way home

I went here for lunch with my co-workers. Their schedule needs to be changed because they are now open at 11:00am. I had the Choripan Sandwich (Grilled Argentine chorizo w/ chimichurri sauce) and at $ 5.95 its a pretty sweet deal and great meal. One coworker had the Milanesa Sandwich and the other The Mighty Renzon. All great sandwiches. Make sure you get their white sauce...its a definite flavor booster. Decor. Great, nice facility and clean. All the decor matches and Wine is obviously a passion there. Food. Delicious (Sandwiches), and great portion sizes. They have empanadas there too. Beef, chicken, spinach and Ham & cheese. The dessert menu is pretty big too You can see all the desserts on display.. decently priced as well. Staff. Very friendly and courteous. I had no trouble ordering or communicating with any of the staff. They welcomed us very openly. I would visit here again and probably get the Renzo's Parrilla table side grill. It looks amazing and delicious

I love this place for their delicious choripan sandwiches; grilled sausage on fresh crispy bread with lettuce and some sort of delicious spicy mayo. Yum! As for the other food they serve, it looks tasty but I've never tried it so I can't say much about that. Everytime I have gone in the past it was a casual, quick service style where you order at the counter and the food is brought to you. Now they have added waitresses to serve you at the table. I'm not sure if I was actually a fan of this as the service was pretty slow, but I suppose it was a nice added touch. The environment is nice and the prices are very reasonable ($6 for the sandwich and chips). I try to stop here whenever I am looking for a tasty, quick bite to eat in Tampa

An amazing experience in culinary delight. The staff is friendly, and the menu is authentic Argentinian and well priced. Portions are huge and they can take care of dinner for 2 or 20. Renzo (junior) is always on the floor checking in with his guests making sure their dining experience is top notch! For something off the beaten path, and not a cookie cutter franchise, Renzo's is the spot!

My boyfriend picked me up from the airport and the first words out of my mouth were, "I'm hungry. Food, please." (Yes, I'm a real dream of a girlfriend). He said he knew of a place that he thought I'd like and it turned out to be Renzo's. I was a little mystified when he pulled into a nondescript shopping center and pointing out a place that looked more like a corporate conglomerate than a dining establishment he would suggest. He must have seen the look on my face because he told me to ignore the outside. When we walked it, we sat immediately. The servers brought over menus, water cups, and took our drink orders. I liked the variety of wines and that they sell by the bottle at a number of reasonable price points. I asked the waitress for food recommendations and took her up on the churrasco with yuca and a side order of platanos maduros (my weakness). The food appeared rapidly, which I'm always a fan of, and I liked everything. The meat was tender, flavorful, and prepared just right. I loved the sauce, though I do agree that it was a bit on the oily side for me. Yuca prepared traditionally is always a nice accompaniment to churrasco and one I rarely find on menus. The plantains, well, those were quickly devoured. For dessert, I split the tres leches cake. I wish I hadn't shared - it was that good. No question - I'm a fan of Renzo's and I hope to be back soon.

The hidden gem of Tampa! My parents moved down to Tampa a year ago and every time I come down to visit we eat at Renzos. The food is amazing and the prices are so reasonable there really is no excuse not to go there! The Churrasco de Entrana (skirt steak) is crazy good. I don't know what kind of magic they are working in that kitchen but this is better than any steakhouse steak, especially when you compare prices. You get an amazing (and big!) skirt steak for just 16 bucks. For a side, get the yucca fries. I'd never even heard of a yucca, much less eaten it before getting it at Renzo's per recommendation from my parents. They are delicious! Plus you get a little side of this garlic/herb jus that make the fries even better. Save room for dessert - Postre Chaja is like a layered cake that is so good. Totally worth it, and I never get dessert at restaurants after dinner. All the prices are reasonable, wine/beer included. The atmosphere is very comfortable and welcoming. It's not a huge place and it's tucked away in a strip mall, but it is such a pleasant surprise. The staff are all very friendly and they explained all sorts of menu items to us the first time we were there. I highly recommend this place if you are in the Tampa Bay area. Amazing food at such a great value -- there's really nothing better.

60 bucks. One decent sandwich. One mediocre sandwich. White tomatoes. One decent salad, decent only because of the meat. This place does meat well, but not much else.

It's an interesting combination between casual & gourmet dining. Food is wonderful, wine is fabulous & service is fast and pleasant. If I lived local this would be a regular night out. Every time I come to Tampa this will be a stop.

I am so ecstatic that I found this place. I had no idea this gem of Argentinian goodness was hiding just out of sight. I wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for Dine Tampa Bay, but I'm glad I did because it was such a good deal: $25 for appetizer, entree and dessert. I got the churrasco and my friend got the picanha. Complete meatgasm. Both steaks were seasoned simply with salt in the South American way, but these were some of the most flavorful I've had anywhere in Tampa Bay. The appetizer--la provoleta--and the dessert--tres leches--were equally amazing. I even got a tres leches to go so I could share the amazingness with my husband. This is my new favorite Argentinian place and will be my go-to for affordable steak. The regular menu prices are very reasonable and I can't wait to go back.

This is a wonderful place for Argentinian style steaks. I love the Churrasco and the Tostones!

The Churrasco grilled steak and Churrasco al polo were tasty. The french fries , however, tasted under cooked & frozen. That was a disappointment. Service was friendly & helpful. The Argentinian wine list was extensive and vey reasonable.
