I have bought lasagna from them for years and it was always great and consistent. Unfortunately when I purchased a lasagna for Christmas it was smaller and not as good as always. The half pan feeds supposedly 4-6 i could barely feed 3 people. When I called to let them know what had happened, instead of apologizing or even better offering a new lasagna the owner argued with me about it. Its pretty sad when you have a Christmas dinner ruined and the company not making thing right. You have lost a customer in me and my family. Hopefully other customers wont have the same experience!

Best lasagna in the city!!! Amazing quality and flavor. If you don't think fresh ingredients matter then try this place, you can completely taste the difference. We love it!!!!

Why make your own pasta when you can come here????? I've made gnocchi's in the past and it takes time..... It actually costs me more to make it myself and it won't taste as good as this place. (I'm not the best cook) this place is great if in the mood for some homemade pasta, quick meal at home and if your just tired of over processed dried pasta. Take it up a notch and pick up a nice dinner for the family probably for less than what you can make at home. Not to mention the time saved. They have an array or sauces to choose from and you can't go wrong with any of your choices.

The three basil linguine might just be the best pasta I've ever had. I paired it up with their tomato cream sauce and I'm now considering not ordering pasta at a sit down restaurant ever again. It's that good! The prices are very reasonable too, especially when you consider the quality of the food. I stopped by the new location on MacDill and I was in and out in 30 seconds. You have to come by one of the locations if you haven't tried it yet!

I really like the concept of this eatery. They sell a plethora of fresh frozen ravioli (they even have whole wheat pastas) and a variety of fresh refrigerated sauces to go. The prices are much higher than a typical grocery's dried pasta and jarred sauce versions found on the shelves, but it's totally worth it. I tried the spinach and mushroom ravioli with the cream tomato sauce - what a great combination. I can't wait to go back, I will be trying the lobster ravioli with mushroom sauce next time. The possibilities are endless, so don't be afraid to get creative!

Absolutely wonderful pasta!!!. delcious sauces and a plethora of choices putting aside the fact that everything is take home it is well worth it the only food I haven't liked so far was their pesto. Food aside the staff is knowledgeable and perfectly willing to help you pick out a meal you can even watch the owner hand making pasta while discussing every piece of pasta there

BEST ravioli in Tampa. Everything I've had has been amazing. They have some of the most unique flavors I've had in the area. I especially love their chicken prosciutto, mushroom, and white truffle Hawaiian sweet potato raviolis (only seasonal for summer!). They also have great bread rolls and sauces. Their basic red sauce is just lusciously flavorful with bright tomato and mellow garlicky/herb flavors. Best of all they're super affordable! I hope to try their lasagna sometime.

This place is why I LOVE local businesses and try and support them. I can't believe I just came across this place now and have been deprived of heaven in a pocket for so long! They don't have tables but I kind of like the fact that you take it home and can cook/warm it up yourself. This time I had the papperadelle (which is one of my favs) with the truffle mushroom red sauce but I can't wait to try all the ravioli- they have a list of about 30 different kinds. Oh and they make their own fresh bread- knot rolls are awesome with just fresh garlic and butter. I was also surprised how reasonably priced everything was and definitely recommend for catering.

If you are looking for a easy and quick meal, this place got it! One bag of ravioli serves 4 people if you make salad on the side. I loved their homemade sauce! I had a little bit of left over sauce after using for their ravioli so I put on my omelet and it came out amazing! The lady owner is super nice and helpful too. Note: one bag of ravioli and a pint of sauce is about $15-18.

I absolutely love this place!! The concept of take-home fresh ravioli makes a pasta lover like me a happy girl!! So glad I do not live near them or I would be there weekly. The owners are very nice people as well and the customer service is always great. There are so many ravioli/pasta choices, as well as sauces. My favorite is asparagus and mozzarella ravioli with tomato cream sauce. But it doesn't stop there. There are salads, sandwiches and large scale entrees to choose from as well. The knot rolls are awesome too!

I love this place. Fresh homemade pasta, ravioli, lasagna, sauces, etc. My favorite ravioli is the chicken prosciutto and asiago and my favorite sauce is the tomato cream. I ordered the seafood lasagna for my boyfriend and I for valentines day and it was amazing. They can cook it there or give you the directions to cook at home. Very helpful service. Call ahead to pick up so they can hold on to your favorite!

I love this place!! Fresh bread, fresh pasta, ravioli and I love the Lasagna! They have a homemade Mac and cheese I'm dying to try! Love the homemade sauce which is a little pricey for the small container but cooking for one, it's perfect for about 2 meals. They have different flavored pastas which I like the three basil. They used to have a cracked pepper one but they don't make it often. They have offered to make it for me if I let them know I want it ahead of time. Love the roasted garlic bread and have yet to try the different butters they have. Great couple (owners) make everything and they are always happy to see you and say hello! Anytime you know you are going you can call ahead and they will make/ save you whatever you want! Very friendly, great place!

It does not get any better. 30+ variety of raviolis made onsite and another 15+ sauces. Great for takeout fresh or frozen. A few tables inside for lunchers. Careful of the days they are closed. Nice mom n pop place to eat fresh and local

My wife makes great ravioli, but you can't make it when you have last minute guests. Plus .. what if you have vegetarian guests? Or guests that want something different? This is where the Ravioli Company's takeout ravioli and pasta fit the bill. I prefer to call in an order as soon as possible for them to make it, but I have been told by my neighbors their items work well from the freezer. Maybe if they had a website with some giant photographs of their ravioli taken from a side view, there would be long lines at this storefront. On second thought, skip that idea. If people don't try this place that is their problem.

I don't understand the rave reviews for this place. I have been here 3 times. Every time I've been there they have been out of something I wanted, either a type of ravioli, a type of bread, etc. It's not a very organized place and they seem kind of deer-in-the-headlights whenever a customer walks in there. I have had the ravioli and it is not spectacular. Now I could understand if this is the best ravioli you have ever had how you would think it's spectacular. But trust me, ravioli can be A LOT LOT better than this. The ravioli that I have had in Italy, major cities in the U.S., and the ones I have made at home have all tasted a lot better than this. Soft, fluffy pillows of delicious filling. The pasta (from which the ravioli is made) from this place is very hard. I don't know whether it's the fact that they freeze the ravioli, or their pasta recipe is faulty, both, but to me this ravioli doesn't taste too much different from other frozen ravioli (made in NY, etc.) you can buy at Mazzaro's in St. Pete, for example. I also would like to know how long that ravioli that they are selling in their freezer has been sitting there frozen. If I am going to go through the trouble, time and expense of buying "fresh" pasta, I don't want pasta that's been frozen for days or weeks. I want ravioli that was made just HOURS before I bought it and never frozen. Every time I have gone there I have had to buy frozen ravioli because that's all they had in the flavor I wanted. I have tried the lobster ravioli and I don't know what was in it but it did not taste like lobster. I have also tried the portobello ravioli and that was better than the lobster but, again, not spectacular. Now I will say that they have a Tomato Cream Sauce that is EXTREMELY GOOD. Not the vodka sauce, look for the one that says "Tomato Cream Sauce." I am basing my 3 stars just on this sauce.

Amen, Hardy! I can't believe that this business doesn't have pages of rave reviews! This is a wonderful local business with great food and is run by nice, friendly people. The Ravioli Company is hands down the best place to buy fresh, handmade stuffed pasta in the Tampa Bay area. I am extremely health-conscious, but the food is so good that I have to have my regular ravioli fix! They have a stunning array of ravioli fillings, and everything I have tried here has been delicious. The raviolis do freeze very well, especially the four-cheese, and I'd highly recommend keeping a bag of that and some of the plum tomato sauce in the freezer so that you can impress last minute guests. I also love their pine nut vinaigrette. I had friends in town from San Diego visiting and after sampling the raviolis, they begged me to figure out a way to ship to them! If you have somehow missed this hidden gem, you must treat yourself ASAP!

This place is amazing. It's also right across the street from Schillers German Delicatessen. Pair this ravioli with their wonderful deli and you get a fantastic, fresh meal. I truly love this place! And the owners and people who work there are full of excellent recommendations and what pastas to pair with what sauces, and the bread is also amazing. Definitely check this place out :)

Simply the best pasta and Italian in the Tampa Bay area!!! If that isn't enough for you, expect a huge smile and some laughter every time you walk in. The owners are a hoot! Try the classic lasagna, mmmm!

Delicious frozen ravioli that take only minutes to cook in boiling water. Lots of variety. I particularly appreciated all the vegetarian options during the Lenten season.

LOVE. I freaking LOVE this place so far. Fresh pastas. A zillion types. Oh my, my my my. Chicken/proscuitto/asiago ravioli was SUPERB Next up: Goat cheese and fig.... oh yes, tomorrow you are MINE Edit to add: Their hours can be a tad unpredictable. I stopped by recently and they were on vacation. Another time they closed early for some reason. I find that annoying honestly. So: Call before you go and make sure they are actually there.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
