Given a choice, this is not the first place I would pick for good Chinese food. The portions are small (compared to most Chinese places) and their spice heat index is pretty low. We got the chicken w/garlic sauce and the Hunan chicken which are both noted as "hot and spicy" on the menu but were not spicy at all. The garlic sauce was actually kind of sweet. If you like it spicy, make sure to ask for it.

Great, but you need to know what to order and what not to order. Some of the dishes... I can't imagine anyone enjoying but they're pretty obvious, like the "shrimp with lobster sauce". General Tsao's chicken is good every time. Steamed rice is consistent. Convenient location for islanders.

I tried this place today for the first time. I was happy with the fast friendly service and with the location. The portion sizes were just okay. I'm used to huge portions when it comes to Chinese takeout. The General Tso's chicken and egg roll were also a bit bland.

Worst place on the island. Expensive food, idiot staff. I don't see any reason to go here ever.

One of the better takeout Chinese places in Tampa for me. I'm not picky by any means but this has always been better than other places. I tend to get lo mein dishes, cashew chicken, and moo goo gai pan. Appetizer wise I go crab Rangoon and dumplings.

Tried something new. Tried kung pao chicken and it was actually quite delicious! The laid back atmosphere and quiet seating outside make it an ideal place to eat a snack mid bike ride. White rice was fluffy and chicken was moist. No complaints!

My roommate and I will get the krab Rangoon, steamed dumplings, and 2 spring rolls and it's like $11. It's not a fancy place and it's not somewhere you can eat-in at but the food is good. If you needed a snack and can't cook, hit them up.

So I've only ordered out from this place while at work, but it works! The food is just what I expected and the delivery is super fast. The delivery people are friendly and the TGH staff use this place to order from all the time! Like any traditional Chinese food place, the white rice is tasteless and must be forced down the throat like a five-year-old's butt down a rusty park slide. Hey, leave a little sauce to lubricate the food as it passes your windpipe and you will be fine. I would have given an extra star if the portions were large enough to make me want to puke. I may give this an extra star later in fact, for now; the last star I'll keep. pour on some more rice; I will be back to order again soon!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
