Diabetics at Pizza Hut
Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.
Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:
You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.
Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Really good! Living in wesley chapel we haven't been impressed with any of the pizza places here. Definitely worth the little extra drive. Had really good flavor, wasn't too greasy or salty. I usually like to dip this style pizza in ranch but didn't need it!

Excellent pizza! Try the "supreme" (it has banana peppers!), BBQ chicken, and meat lovers. I'm sure all of them are awesome but these are the ones I have tried. When my family comes in town we have to get pizza zone by request, every time! Great service and very friendly staff! Love this place.

My fiancé and I are hooked on this little hole in the wall. It doesn't look like much from the outside (or even the inside, for that matter), and the silly name kept us at bay for a long time, but the pizza is really delicious. Their crust is fresh and has a great flavor, and all of their toppings are fresh as well. You can tell the owner has a lot of passion, because he pours all of it into his business and you can taste the hard work and dedication to greatness. The owner is the only person I ever see working in the tiny kitchen, and he runs the register as well. He is not the most chatty character, but he works like an artist on the pizza. It's refreshing to know that the person making my food truly cares about quality. The last thing I ordered was the BBQ chicken pizza. The sauce was the perfect marriage of tangy and sweet and the red onions balanced perfectly with the fresh chopped chicken and the oh-so-delicious melty cheese. This is the best pizza I've had in Tampa Palms, and I strongly urge everyone to try it out.

Amazing! Great people... Great pizza... You've got to try the MARGHERITA!
(5)Heather B.
I am a stickler for pizza, being from the northeast and all, so I have to say that Boris is pretty damn good at what he does! I was impressed by the look of the pizza in and of itself, but when I brought it home & actually took a bite, well.... I was a happy camper in pizza heaven! I got a half extra cheese and half artichoke, garlic and sliced tomatoes- can you say yum? If you like cheese and good quality, not an oily mess, this is the place to try! I will definitely be back! Good job and keep up the good work at PIZZAZZONE! I'm a fan!

Delicious local pizza. I've eaten it three different times on my visits to Tampa and it's been great every time. Lots of cheese, not too greasy. I detest pizza places that skimp on the mozzarella, but not here!
(4)Collin S.
I drove by a few times, and always thought this place was a chain. Found out I was wrong, so I got one today. Boy that was my fault, this place was awesome!! I got one extremely delicious large pepperoni pie today that was COVERED in mozzarella. I have never had that much cheese on a slice of pizza, and it really came through. It had less grease than your normal NY style pie, but the slice was still big enough to fold. I also noticed when I walked in to pick it up that they had a help wanted ad in the window for a pizza maker. It said "must know how to HAND TOSS." Atta way, Pizzazzone. Only problem is they don't deliver! But I talked to the owner/manager, and she said they hope to be back in that business soon. Let's hope sooner than later so even more people can get some of this deliciousness.

I regret not discovering this place earlier when I moved to Tampa. I love their margherita is sooooooo delicious I just can't explain it. I mean they have a brick oven! You just rarely go wrong with that.
(5)Heather S.
Came here from buying a double take offer. It's kind of far from where I live but it was a Saturday and I had nothing else so why not explore. The inside is small would be more of a takeout/ delivery type of place. They have a wide selection of pizzas or you can make your own. It has reasonable add on topping prices. This time we made our own pizza and we got an 18" for 19.99. The pizza was New York style with minimal grease so no belly ache after eating!

I don't eat pizza often, but when I do, I like it to be pretty damn good if I'm going to splurge on carbs. We decided to grab something quick on a football night, so we created our own pizza with meatballs, ham, ricotta, banana peppers, and mushrooms. We also got 6 of the BBQ wings. The food was ready very quickly and served nice and hot. The wings were pretty good and served with a lot of sauce, but overall pretty average. The pizza was better than Cappy's in my opinion, but there was nothing that really stood out about it like a nice crust flavor profile or a medley of herbs in the toppings. Maybe we would have felt differently if we had ordered one of the specialty pizzas? I will agree with other reviewers that it was refreshing having a non-greasy pizza. We probably won't go out of our way to eat here, but if we're feeling lazy and wanting pizza, we would consider trying this place out again.
(3)Benjina D.
I love the pizza here! I'm absolutely hooked on the Tex-Mex, with onions, and guacamole. I'm so glad I live close by. Hands down, the best pizza in the area!
(5)Anna R.
I lived in the neighborhood for 2 years before I found this gem. The pizza is fresh and made with quality ingredients. Ive bought at least 10 pizzas this semester. I've never had anything less than fantastic food here. The food is simple, fresh, and affordable. The owner is super sweet. I'm never buying pizza anywhere else in Tampa!
(5)Jeremy B.
Aside from the slightly confusing name, this place has some great pizza. The other huge selling point is that it's right next to World of Beer, so it's very easy to order from Pizzazzone, and wander over to WoB while you wait. The owner was really awesome and even texted us when our order was ready so I could walk over and pick it up. I agree with the other reviewers that this pizza is heavy on the mozzarella, but despite that there is very little grease. It's not something you see often and it really added to the flavor of the pizza without it being too heavy. The sauce is sweet and the bread is very chewy and flavorful. It's more of a brick oven style pizza but they don't feel the need to char the whole thing. I know some people enjoy it that way, but personally I've never been a fan. Due to the temperature and size inside, I really wouldn't recommend eating there, but it is definitely worth taking out or taking with you next door while you enjoy a cold draft.
(4)Eric S.
Pizza doesn't get much better than this! They have a lot of different types of specialty pies with ingredients my girlfriend and I wouldn't have necessarily tried on our own and Pizzazzone pulls it off very well. I don't know if they own the place but the same man and woman are always there and they are sooooo friendly. They're FAST too. You can place your order and it will be ready when you get there. I HIGHLY recommend this place.
(5)Jean A.
Pretty darn delicious! I've ordered here 5 times now and now that I'm leaving the area, time for a review. Stop here if you're looking for a fine pizza.
(4)Anna K.
This was my first time I've eaten this pizza, I recently moved to this area and wanted to give it a try. I got a Margherita pizza from them and I have to say the flavors of the pizza were great. The cheese, the crust, the sauce all tasted wonderful together. My major issues were that the crust of the pizza got very soggy very fast. It was fresh out of the oven when I picked it up and by the time I got home (which only takes 10 minutes) the pizza slices were so soggy, it was like someone poured water over it and it was soaking through the box. My other issue is that since it was my first time ordering I had looked up pricing and the menu on their website. For a family size Margherita pizza it said $15.99. I was charged $17.99 when I picked this up. I thought I had been mistaken and since it was my first time there I didn't question it but all over the menu it definitely stated $15.99. Either way for this pizza and quality to be almost $20 was not worth it.
(2)Khalid B.
Excellent brick oven pizza, perfect crust, friendly owner, clean place, but not much space. Went with my friends and we had the Milano Pizza, took about 15 minutes to prepare.
(4)Tiffany B.
Good, not quite great, pizza. The crust has a yummy garlicky flavor, but other than that you can tell not a lot of seasonings are used. The sauce is tangy, but not as rich and flavorful as it could be. Definitely steps above your average chain Dominos/Papa Johns/Pizza Hut pizza joint , but definitely not the best pizza in Tampa. I'd say their pizza gets 3 1/2 stars, with an extra 1/2 because their prices are super reasonable.
(4)Danesh J.
Pretty delicious pizza with very little grease. Not as much flavor as I thought there would be, but the lack of grease is perfect on the stomach. We ordered the Pepperoni and the Tex-Mex with buffalo wings. Both were baked in the over. Pepperoni was spot on. The Tex-Mex was an adventurous choice that didn't payoff as well as I would have liked. It wasn't bad, just more spicy than I would have liked. Both taste great with a splash of lemon juice on them though. Overall, nice pizza spot but FYI, a pie or wing order takes about 25 minutes, so call ahead if you can. Wish they had by-the-slice options for pepperoni and cheese all day long instead of just for lunch.
(4)Mrs. Rita F.
I loooove this place!!!! The pizzas there are delicious! The calzones are amazing, and the panini are excellent! BUT!!! Every time I try to order the new item. Salmon panini.... They are always out of salmon! It teases me! And one night I literally ordered 20mins before they originally closed. They seem to close early if it's dead I guess?
(4)Davina M.
The owner is a super nice guy and the quality of his pizza outstanding. I can't believe it has taken me this long to discover this hidden gem. I can see why he has been voted New Tampa's Best.
