On 8/28/15 at 1pm I was checking out noticing the error for the total on my bill. The lady that was behind the counter, guessing she's always there, became irate after i told her that she was over charging me. The advertised menu price was $6.99 and i was paying for 2 adults, i told her that it was no way that my bill was $15. Her reply was " its ok just a few cents more no matter"...."everyone gives it to me because its just a few cents more". One i pressed the issue that it was up to me if i wanted to round up my bill and not up to her discretion, she through the receipt at me. the idea of "everyone" giving her extra monies without even knowing it. Sadly the food was ok since i went early. I will not patronize a business that cheats me.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had lunch. So frik'n gross. Went to get a second plate. A second plate. Just imagine. My daughter looked and on my 'sushi' was a small black hair. Then she was about to bite into her 'chicken on a stick' and two, two black hairs cooked into/onto the chicken. Just then the waitress walked over and said asked if everything was okay. I just shook my head no and pointed to the food. She was going to get the woman who runs the place when I decided to walk up to where you pay and deal with the situation. The woman got ugly with me and said people's hair... trying to insinuate that it is from the customers. She insisted I show her and of course I did as loud as I could so the other customers would be alerted to the nastiness of it all. I would have followed through with the police if necessary as I wasn't about to pay the bill on this. But being my daughter was there I thought I'd take the womans offer of paying for half of the meal. Now hours later my daugher is still nauseous. I don't know if it's from the food or the thought of what we may have ingested! I WAS ADVISED TO REPORT THEM TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT AS IT COULD BE RAT HAIR. Yeah definitely NOT number 1 by far. The food was cold and gross with horrible service. Someone that worked there kept carrying around a screaming baby...walking it around the entire place which made it damn near impossible to hear. The servers will add to that and yell at the top of their lungs right over guests to the people at the front instead of walking 20 feet to the front to say it quietly. I will NEVER return to this place...its not worth the money

It's like 5 out of ten - maybe as much as 6. Very friendly staff seem to know everyone from the neighborhood.

No. 1 China Buffet is certainly not "number one" with me. I stopped here today for my weekly fix of sushi but their selection of that was small. They do have a decent selection of other foods. Two things in particular I liked you won't find at most Asian buffets: chicken tacos and seven choices of ice cream (not just chocolate and vanilla). One thing that turned me off was their sign advertising "No extra charge for Hibachi grill." Since that was open when I ate there last year, I asked three different employees when the grill was open. They wouldn't answer my question but kept saying it was closed. It's possible all of them weren't fluent in English. Still it appeared they were annoyed I asked them that. At least China Buffet has a sign indicating their Hibachi grill is open only on weekends.
