Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

My guy was eager to take me to the historic town of Ybor City. We absolutely love beer tasting, so this place was our first stop. We sat at the bar and checked out everything on tap and in the fridge. I was impressed with the selection of beer. The bartender was knowledgable about the beer and let us try whatever we wanted. I chose the Abita Purple Haze because I really love that beer on draft. We ordered the Neptune Pizza. I have to say I didn't expect it to be that good, it was late and pizza sounded like good pub fare. The pizza was excellent. For my second pint, I had a Cider that was so crisp and refreshing. Perfect with my pizza and my handsome date. ;) The New World Brewery is a must for beer lovers, you never know what you might find. Cheers!

Service here has always been top notch. Great atmosphere to kick back and play fooseball or sit and have a pizza with friends. Beer selection is unique and appreciated. I'll also add that Pilsner Urchel is on tap here, that alone would bring me out.
(5)Candice M.
I absolutely love seeing bands here. They also have a great beer selection, and the pizza is good. But every single time I've been here, the older female bartender has been incredibly rude. And $10 for a bottle of Founder's Breakfast Stout? You've got to be kidding. When I asked about the price to make sure my tab was correct, she snapped back at me that they weren't "the only bar that serves $10 beers." Of course not, but you are the only bar that charges $10 for a $5-6 bottle, and then is rude about it.

This place is like hanging out in your coolest friends' backyard. Whether you are listening to music in the outdoor garden patio or hanging inside playing games, you feel happy and relaxed and always welcome. Good beer and great food.

Going to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... Needed pizza!! This more than suffices!!

No Tattoos, No Flannel = No Service. Went last night with a coworker and we were completely ignored by the wait staff. We sat at the bar to order dinner and have a few beers and not once did any of the 3 staff behind the bar look in our direction. After they chose to serve several other groups that walked up to the bar after us, we decided to leave and walk to another place. Is it coincidence that we were the only ones that didn't have at least one of the following: a beard, thick rimmed glasses, tattoos or a flannel shirt? I guess corporate attire is not welcome or the service here just sucks in general.

Used to come here when I lived in Tampa prior, but it's gone so far down hill. Pizza was overlooked and the staff was awful. Do not recommend at all.

This is a hard review for me to write because I love this place. NWB always has good shows, a great beer selection, and the pizza is really good. The only reason I am ranking this 3 out of 5 (instead of higher) is because the bartender is a dick. All of the female bartenders are cool and attentive, but more than a couple times, the male bartender has been a huge prick. One time in particular I went to get a water for a guy at a table who looked like he was about to get sick, and the bartender barreled into me because I was in his way, and when I told him what was going on he said "you're going to throw up?! Get the fuck out of here!" to me. Clearly he didn't understand the situation and chose to be a dick about it. I worked in hospitality a long time and I know how to behave in public - that's not how you treat a patron. If it wasn't for the fact that I really enjoy live music, I wouldn't come here if that guy is working just because he doesn't deserve my money.
(3)Nathan H.
If you like beer then put your shoes on, get in your car, drive here, and drink one because they have a lot of them that you haven't heard of. The bartender talks in circles and he's kind of a dick. The food isn't very good, I won't go back.

My weekly visit to Ybor for lunch with my wife is always a surprise as she selcts the place to eat. We walk a few blocks, I smell BBQ and we're at New World Brewery, a first for me. I see the board. "BBQ Buffet @ $6.50lb!" As I live a healthy lifestyle, I usually do a sample platter approach to buffets, keep my portion control intact, and get to enjoy the choices put out there. I pretty much sampled what I thought would be different. I left the mashed potatoes and a couple of other sides that I wasn't in the mood for. I did try the Curry Potato Salad which I will definitely hit next time! The Macaroni Salad was nice as were the collards greens! The cole slaw was vinegar based and that's not my preference. The Jambalaya in a white gravy? This is a New World interpretation. I'm a purist so this is more a chowder. Now the BBQ! The smoker is outside in the courtyard. You cant help but smell it as soon as you're half block away. I chose the pulled pork and sausage. There's a lot of good smokey flavor in both. The sausage was quite mild. The pork was righteous! Four sauces are available, Texas Smoke, Carolina Gold, Mississippi Honey, & Kansan City Classic! I liked the Texas & Honey mixed. Thatr's the fun of having choices of sauces. I lived in NC BBQ Country so the Gold was initially not what I was expecting. It did grow on me and, in the end, I liked it! Apple Cobbler was the single dessert offering. A warm crisp light crust, filling not too sweet with nice sized apple slices provided a perfect ending to a surprising BBQ lunch buffet. For my accompanying beverage, Clay, our bartender and server recommended Stiegl Radler, a beer with fresh soda mix of grapefruit, light for the summer. He also added ice to a glass as this poured from a can. He was most helpful and made us feel at home. A great lunch! Gonna have to come back in the evening with some Yelp peeps...BRENT! :-P

My favorite bar in Tampa for 17 years. Music, pizza , BBQ. Off of 7th. One of the first places in Tampa to serve good beer back in the day.
(5)Ashley K.
I visited NWB in hopes that I would stumble upon another awesome craft brewery in the area. They have craft beer down for sure, but all of it is from other breweries. I would suggest not calling themselves a brewery, but I digress. I really, really liked the environment. The inside is very friendly feeling and offers free music from the jukebox. The bartenders seemed a bit standoffish at the beginning, but they warmed up and were actually really, really attentive and nice. The outside offers tables with shade provided by the trees above, a beautiful place to sit and people watch. :) Along with a pretty good selection of craft beer, they also offer some food. Nothing really stood out for me but I was hungry and decided to try the pizza. I made my own (anchovies and black olives) and it was just "ok". I would probably eat elsewhere next time I'm in the area. Added Bonus: If you're familiar with the rock band "Have Gun, Will Travel", this location sells "High Road Ale" which is brewed by the band's own company - Rock Band Brewery. \m/

A delightful gem sitting on the outskirts of Ybor City. This small bar with an excellent courtyard transports you away from the hustle and bustle of Ybor. This is a must stop for locals and those passing through. It's a very casual lounge environment with great suds and live music almost every night of the week.
(4)Adam B.
Cool vibe. Food was great. Had the smoked chicken tacos and chef salad with smoked chicken. Wasn't able to sample their beers.
(5)Ryan M.
Didn't eat here so I cant speak to that...but it has one of the best beer selections I've seen anywhere. It's incredibly relaxed and a great place to try some new and perhaps some rare beers.
(5)Brett N.
Why 4 stars? Because it's one of the better bars in Tampa. --- --- --- An enormous beer selection, good food and good live music. I don't know what else you could possibly ask for in a bar? This is a prime example of place that after another visit or two could easily be upgraded to 5 stars. 5 stars are the fragile goose of life - if you have too many of them, you've have a lot of goose poop in your yard. In my new found beer snobness, New World Brewery's vast selection has earned the keys to my Yelp heart.
(4)Jonathan C.
My first time in Ybor, I was aimlessly walking around when the smell of BBQ yanked me into New World. Having their smoker near the street is an ingenious piece of sensory marketing. Apparently, every weekday, they have a BBQ buffet. I sampled the pulled pork, sausage, beans, and macaroni -- all solid options. You pay by the pound ($6/pound or so). The ambience is relaxed, with more outdoor seating than inside. I can't say the BBQ cracks my all-time list, but I'm happy I stopped for lunch and would recommend it to others.
(4)Savanna L.
New World is like a little oasis in the heart of Douchey Clubville. Surrounded by trees and off towards the end of the Ybor strip, it's a bit hidden but it's a treasure. They serve tons of delicious brews both on tap and in the bottle. The restrooms are usually very clean and are big so there's barely ever a line. The food (had one of the black bean pizzas) is delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. Went there once and didn't realize they were closing, they didn't care. They gave my group a free beer and some money for the jukebox and we stayed while they closed. And there is almost always live music, which beats the electronic versions of pop songs of the nearby establishments any day!
(4)Amy S.
No, they are no longer brewing their own beer but carry such a wide variety of seasonal beers, craft beers and microbrews that you'll get over that real fast. Over it. Moving on. Great. Such a beautifully chill ambience, indoor and outdoor, fantastic patio, lots of shade, trickling fountain, ahh yes please. One of my absolute favorite bars in Ybor, New World is ever so inviting. Sexy staff, awesome live music venue and when there isn't a band on stage, there's a free jukebox packed with a lovely selection of cool shit. The food is fantastic as well. From yummy thin crust pizzas to slow smoked BBQ, everything I've had here has been delicious. Yeah man, two thumbs up. I just LOVE New World Brewery.
(5)Marinda H.
Day/Time of Visit: weekday late night Atmosphere: cool outdoor patio with outdoor area for bands Went to see some bands - this place is cool! Super comfy outdoor patio - brick pavers, tables with umbrellas, and lush landscaping making it feel private. 'Door' guys were super friendly, no testosterone vibe at all. Way too many beer choices which just confuses me because I'm not a 'beerie' at all. Bartenders weren't super attentive - more interested in talking to each other than quickly acknowledging customers but not atypical for rock venues. They were friendly when they finally served you. Will definitely come back when there are bands that I want to see (not so interested in the singer-songwriter stuff and that seems to be the type of music they book). And, I'm looking forward to trying some food - the rustic BBQ smell hovering over the patio was delightful!
(4)Sharina J.
I found this place by using my Yelp app while in Ybor. Although it's not a brewery they have a great selection of beers from other breweries. There is inside and outside seating. It is wheelchair accessible, bathroom, low tables etc. The only issue is the accessible parking spot is not well defined and the driveway is really broken up right at that spot so be careful getting out of your car. Besides the parking spot, we really enjoy this place. They don't have tv's so don't come here if you are looking for a place to watch the game. However you should come here if you are looking for great beer, great food and great service! I've never done the BBQ buffet but I have done the hummus and pizza..mmmmm good! Next time you are in Ybor stop by for a drink!
(4)Laura S.
So I've been to New World so many times and had a lot of fun. However I was there about a month ago and one of the bartenders were so rude to me I couldn't believe it. He basically told me that I was being so rude because he was looking down and I asked him for a water.I'm sorry but if you work as a bartender and that was rude you shouldn't be in the service industry. Not cool.
(2)Luke T.
I am disappoint. Not actually a brewery. Pretty sadistic misnomer if you ask me. Also, the bartender informed me that he was probably not the one to advise me as to what they have on draft (curious, no?), and also that I would be better off just looking at the handles since the menu proved out of date. Well then. Once he learned I was from out of town, the service improved somewhat. Slightly.
(2)Lo G.
My husband and I popped in here to try some craft brews. We should have checked yelp before entering as they are no longer a brewery. We ordered two beers instead and enjoyed this eclectic dive bar. We sat inside although it was a gorgeous day out, not sure what we were thinking. The smell of Old World deterred us from ordering any food. First off dogs are allowed inside. And the smell of bleach, vomit, and old mold or must filled the air. Our server was very nice as it was only us and the man with the dog. However, two beers were $19 without tax and tip. No prices were listed, but we never would have assumed our tab would be so high.
(3)Manuel M.
Great beer selection. Excellent BBQ, (some of the best in Tampa). Haven't had the pizza in a long time... Place has a cool vibe, a bit hipster. Good music. I love chilling out and having beers outside during the off peak times.
(5)Daniel N.
I've been here 3 or 4 times. Usually with a group of friends. Tonight a few of us stopped in for a few beers. Everything was alright until we were in the outdoor smoking area. I have a habit of spitting when I smoke, gross, I know. The bartender came out and loudly asked who had been spitting. I said it was me and I was sorry. She continued to berate me and yell about how it was disgusting and to never do it again. I again apologized and said I wouldnt do it again. This prompted her to continue telling me how disgusting I was and how she couldn't believe I had spit in her ground. I apologized yet again and assured her that I wouldn't do it again. She proceeded to start slamming chairs on top of one another (it was getting close to last call) directly next to me and then stomped inside and started yelling about me to her coworkers. I left my full beer and won't be returning. Nice customer service guys.

I had high expectations for this place after reading yelp reviews but it did not quite meet them unfortunately. They have a great, extensive beer menu as well as many great sounding pizza flavor pizza combinations. Unfortunately I think our pizza was a bit overcooked because it was just way too crispy. The wood smoked chicken on the pizza had a really great flavor, but It was almost like eating chicken on a cracker. Love the outdoor patio though!
(3)Steve S.
Had the BBQ buffet... nice smoky flavor. The pulled pork and chicken was very tasty. Plenty of sides to choose from. Priced by the pound. Really good beers on tap. Currently enjoying the southern tier pale ale.
(4)Shawn J.
Very cool bar with biergarten. Good draft selection. We did not eat, but the apps looked good.
(4)Brett K.
Feels like stepping into another country into someone's converted backyard bar. The jukebox is free and they have Tom Waits! The beer is well chosen and well priced, bartenders are cheeky and helpful. If I lived here, I'd be here every day.
(5)Bronze M.
A few of my coworkers and I go to this location time to time for a quick drink after work. The staff is extremely nice and remembers your name. I love how they go above and beyond to ensure great service. The best part about interacting with the staff is that all of their interactions are genuine and not forced. New World only serves beer and wine. They do not serve liquor. This was concerning at first as an avid whisk(e)y consumer, but the amazing atmosphere quickly makes up for the lack of liquor. When I first discovered New World a few years ago, they had a DJ that came on certain nights that played reinterpreted funk/soul tracks. As a music lover, I felt like I was in heaven. I got the opportunity to be introduced to so many new artists that I ordinarily would not have known about. This place is legit. The staff is legit. The prices are legit. The beer are legit. A great place to just hang out with a few friends and unwind about worldly stressors. Oh, and did I mention the Pizza is amazing? You won't be disappointed that you came. B. Major Grade: A+
(5)Diana M.
I loved the concept of this place but the band was so LOUD that it was hard to enjoy the atmosphere. Inside, is a nice little bar and some games to choose from. The bartenders were super nice and really seemed to like their jobs. Outside, there are picnic tables and such to sit and watch the band. They really need to turn down the speakers a couple of notches though so you can carry on a conversation.
(4)Dan M.
Fun laid back place full of real human beings. No Ed Hardy shirts, Crocs, or tour groups in sight. Great watering hole!
(4)Jeff O.
NWB is a great bar for Tampa. The combination of an inside bar, with an outside porch and a tree-covered patio makes for a near perfect layout. Sara was a great bartender, and server. A group of 4 of us rode up on sweet bikes and parked them by the smoker. We told tall tales and drank craft beer and ate a 'Mars' pizza. For pizza coming out of a bar, it made for a very good snack. I wouldn't quite compare it to your favorite pizza place on earth, but still... It was a great start to a day of biking and drinking. I'd like to return at night and see live music some month in the future.
(4)Anson M.
This is my favorite beer garden in Tampa since the Oak Barrel shut down many years ago. In response to Jim H, 19 years ago it WAS a brewpub, brewing 10 gallon batches and quite good at that. As it became a beer garden and music venue, they dropped the brewing and focused on making it a superior beer bar. So while the name is misleading (and I agree that it is), a simple google on the internets and you would've known what you're in for-there are a ton of pseudo-breweries with 'brewery' in their name fermenting pre hopped wort out there capitalizing on the growing craft movement, so forewarned is forearmed. I won't go anywhere without yelping it first. Back to the review-great selection of drafts and bottles, knowledgable staff, fantastic BBQ buffet for lunch (sure wish I worked closer) and some of the best shows around. Pizza is remarkably good-everytime I get one, I kick myself for not remembering this when I'm ordering a takeout pie somewhere else. Don't be afraid of the black bean pizza-fantastic! NWB also has the best jukebox in Tampa and it's...wait for it...free! Also, there's foosball and a Simpsons pinball machine. Have I mentioned I love this place?
(5)Mike S.
As I recall, this used to be a working craft brewery with fresh draft available. The food was fine but the draw was their own beer. Now they seem to have a wide selection, but that is no unique in Tampa any more....nor is good pizza. So this would not be my first choice for dining or drinking in Ybor, but would not pitch a fit if someone else invited me.
(3)Danesh J.
Didn't have beer, but pizza is delicious. I seriously crave this stuff. Never done that with pizza. Lunabella with ham is good. They also have black bean pizzas. Only down side for me is that they burn wood every now and then and the smoke seems to kill me. Other than that, I'm a fan. Dog-friendly too!
(4)Larissa S.
Beer Beer Beer... also tons of hipsters, board games, and a couple arcade games. The tenders are very welcoming so don't feel intimidated by the crowd. This old cash only joint has finally joined the 21st century and now accepts cards which is good news for everyone. Plenty of seating inside in both tables and along their very long bar, but the patio is where its at. It offers both a covered area and one that wont protect you from the elements. They also have a fountain, which is very charming but I am not sure if it is workable. In the patio there is also a stage, so be sure to check out if there are any bands or comics for the night before getting to the door and being surprised with a cover charge. They also recently started offering food.Smoked bbq Wednesdays offers a $5 plate of chicken, specialty baked beans and garlic bread. on other days they have a delicious variety of pizzas and tapas including their "johnny" bread, hummus, and goat cheese. Definitely one of my favorites in Ybor. Check it out.
(5)Christine C.
I am so bummed that I've just learned about this place! It's a little off the main strip, but it's completely worth it. Great vibe with a beautiful courtyard area. I went to a wedding here and it was beautiful in a very fun, down to earth way. The food is delicious and they have a great beer selection. I suggest the BBQ pork and the Mac and cheese. Yum! I'm not really sure why it's called a brewery since they don't brew. However, their beer selection really is superb and I can be a bit of a beer snob.
(5)Cara M.
This place is the spot for lunch pay by the pound works. The food is awesome it tastes like there is an old black grandma in the back putting her foot in it!!
(4)Todd O.
I love this place. Its really a comfortable place to go have a beer and just kick back. They have both in and outdoor seating. I've had the pizza which is really good and I've also had the BBQ lunch buffet that they have on Fridays. Lots of different BBQ to choose from as well as sides. They weigh it and you pay by the pound. It's cheap and good. In addition to the food and beer, New World gets some good bands every now and then. this is a great place.
(5)Claudia S.
Maybe it's the person I was with, or the fact that I heard about this place from several people that I expected more....but I wasn't crazy about it. The beer prices weren't all that great, and that's saying a lot seeing as how I'm from Chicago. I can see the appeal of it, and like I said, I think it's because of the person I came with (who actually really likes the place)....but he was in a cranky mood which kind of put a damper on me drinking. The plus was definitely the beer selection....would have gone back but the same person didn't want to go because a band was playing. I'm sure I'll be back in Tampa eventually and hopefully with better company because I could see myself enjoying this place a lot more with good friends.
(4)Blake T.
My wife and I have been coming here for years, and I do not see this trend changing. There are many places to go to down in Ybor, but this establishment is laid back and has something for everyone. The service is awesome and a decent list of quality brews is always available. My wife really likes the pizza, and we usually order it even though I am not a fan of thin crust. We will be coming back for years to come.
(5)Gabriel N.
New World Brewery has an old school feel to it, smokey air with a dark wood interior and dimly lit. At this bar food is only here to keep you drinking beer, but with their large selection you're happy you stuck around. Atmosphere is relaxed and low key, definitely a local hang out. I swung by on their BBQ night when they smoke chicken and ribs all day long in preparation. For just 5 bucks you get chicken and some sides or for 3 dollars more you get ribs along with it. With prices that good how could I say no? All I have to say is that this night has become a weekly tradition for several months now. If you want to kick back, enjoy a smoke and hang out with your buddies this is a solid joint to hit.
(4)Nicole F.
I have been coming to this place ever since it was legal for me to drink. And then I moved...away...several times...and now there's Yelp to finally be able to write a decent review about this place. I love coming here on Saturday nights to listen to some great local bands, eat great pizza (dark side of the moon is the best if you like black beans, onions and lots of banana peppers) and drink some great off the wall beers. The atmosphere at this place is so laid back and relaxed. Everyone gets along with each other even though you might not know them. The bar tenders are super friendly and fast at getting you what you want. On Wednesday's they do a BBQ that starts at 5:00, for really GOOD down home smoking of the meats. New World is a great place to hang out with your friends and maybe even walk away with new ones.
(5)Pamela D.
This is the kind of place I prefer to go to during the day on a Sunday or on a weeknight. Dog-friendly and ample outdoor seating. Throw in a good beer selection and some yummy pizza, and it's an all-around good hangout. Sometimes my dog eats so much mulch here that she poops a tree the next day. It's fascinating. Friday and Saturday nights? Meh. I'm sorry, but my ears could do without the soul-crushing sounds of local indie rock. It's LOUD here and I'm old and tired and I can't yell over the music. If you're into that, by all means, destroy your eardrums, you crazy kids.
(4)Misa C.
Great beer, great staff, great live music! Courtyard seating is amazing! A shining star in Ybor. BTW - Yuma Bella scross the way has booze and rocks too!
(5)Shelley P.
Wonderful food. Great place for live music. Fun staff.
(5)Vinny T.
Half outdoor garden, half indoor pub the New World Brewery is great Ybor City location for good food, a great beer selection and great live music. Well known for hosting fundraisers and other party and live music events the place has finally taken a great step in the last year or so to accept credit cards which was had been an inconvenience. The crowd is always friendly and the staff is timely even when it's really busy. The outside patio is rustic but comfortable and the interior is well suited for sitting at the bar or at tables with a group.
(5)Rick H.
Great smoked BBQ lunch buffet. Pork, chicken, sausage and a special dish or two. The curry potato salad rocks. At $6ish a pound, this can't be beat.
(4)Christy P.
There is nothing to not love about this cool dive bar. The outside area is my favorite place to soak in the sights and sounds of Ybor. Friendly staff and other bar patrons make it welcoming. Great date spot stop for a unique beer and local band discovery. I've been here in the afternoon, too and got the best beer buzz and pizza of my life. Go!
(5)Amy Z.
Went in for dinner and a few beers Monday night. Great laid back atmosphere, but food menu is very limited. They have 3 apps, a salad, and various thin crust pizzas. Pizza was surprisingly delicious. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, but I was disappointed by the dark beer selection. I understand it is May in Tampa and most people prefer lighter summer brews around this time, but what about the rest of us? I opted for a few bottles I had already tried in the past, but New World is the kind of place you'd like to try something for the first time. Anyway, outside seating is plentiful and the vibe is chill. Pizza was also decently priced and good as leftovers too. Be warned, it looks thin so you think you can finish it all. Don't try, you'll be miserable (as 2 of my friends were). Three in our party ordered pizzas from the menu, but I did a make your own. Our 5th member opted for a salad, which she also loved. Everyone was happy with their choices. We did see on the menu that they have BBQ specials a few days a week. I'd like to give that a shot.
(4)Don W.
The Brewery that doesn't brew anything! But, they have a good selection of craft beers on tap. I didn't eat, but the barbeque buffet looked and smelled really good, and got good traffic though I was there during a holiday (Friday before Christmas). The place was pretty empty, except for a short rush on the buffet, so can't really make an informed judgement on service but the bartender was friendly and provided good advice on the Ybor area. Nice bar/inside (where it's 20 degrees cooler - the sign says so!) with good looking beer garden/seating outside. Will go back if in the area.
(4)Mark A.
Great place on the edge of Ybor. Outstanding beer selection in bottles, as well as some pretty uncommon stuff to find on draft (I'm looking at you, St. Louis Framboise). Staff was friendly and quick, the food we tried was good, and the biggest globe collection I've ever seen, which for some reason just felt right to me. It's a large funky indoor space with a large enclosed outdoor beirgarten. They don't brew their own anymore, but that's fine; Tampa (and even just Ybor City) has enough places brewing pedestrian examples of the standard categories; I'm perfectly OK with NWB letting the best breweries around the world do their thing and making it available to me.
(5)Anne L.
They now serve lunch and this is what I and a friend experienced. Chris the friendly bartender greeted us upon entering and told us quickly how lunch goes, gave us the vast beer menu, offered us water then left us a moment to make our decision and help another customer. A couple of things I already know of this place: 1.) great beer selection, good prices. 2.)pizza has a light crisp crust and interesting toppings. 3.)BBQ sunday is a nice change for Ybor I'm not a fan of buffet style however being that we were short on time and have not had lunch, decided , why not. The selection ranged from smoked chicken, sausage to cold salads and even goulash. The smoked chicken enchiladas was a beautiful lite and airy dish with a lot of flavors going on with a thin layer of sharp cheddar cheese melted on top, delish. A fan of coleslaw I had to try their version. Not made of the typical ingredients of mayo and vinegar, This had a blend of cabbage, carrots cilantro, simple syrup, vinegar, this is good stuff, really! My favorite offering had to be the pork shoulder. Shaved, smokey, tender swimming in its natural juices, paired with one of its sauces offered, it was nothing short of heaven. I chose the kansas city sauce. The rice and beans had smoked chicken diced into it. Moist and filling, a close second. must note the curry potatoes, different but good. I chose the Launqanita IPA which was very clean tasting, The music was set to a pandora station I think which was great, and My lunch btw was $3.20 besides the beer. So even if you think the beer prices are high, you will make up for it in the food prices. Great place Check it out.

My first time here. Came to see GreyMarket play and was not disappointed on bit! Grreat place, service was good (granted I only had a couple of beers) but a very entertaining place. I will be back.

This was my first drinking establisment that I went to on my recent trip to Tampa. They had a solid selection of beers and the service was great. I really like the Cigar City IPA. It lived up to the hype. This was overall, my favorite bar in Tampa. If I lived in the area, I would come here often.

A great place to get a beer, sadly a poor place to see a band. Going in I knew the show would not start on time, they rarely do at this venue. Having to wait until 11:15 for a show slated to start at 9pm was beyond late. Thxmgmtive promoted the show with $10 advance tickets that they did not honor from their web site so I paid the $12.00 for an advance sale ticket. With two bands slated before the Crocodiles, I seriously wondered if they would ever get to the stage. I watched the band members playing fuzball to kill time and sensed that even they where pissed off about the late start. Sorry Chris, the promoter stiffed me and I in turned passed it on. At the rate it was going I was not going to wait until 1:30 am for the Crocodiles. At 11:40 pm I paid my bill and sadly off the first time, I stiffed the bartenders and left. I can only assume what time the Crocs took the stage.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon to grab some beers and kill time before flying back to new york. They have a great selections and I was so happy when I saw Purple Haze on the list. When we walked up to the bar the bartenders immediately introduced themselves, something i'm not really used to, and their service was great all afternoon. Good prices considering we were drinking high end beers. I wish we had room for the pizza cause it looked amazing, but we didn't get a chance to try it.
(4)Ryan M.
Best jukebox I've EVER seen. Whoever loaded this little guy knows their shit. The best part is it's FREE! My friend and I went on a lazy Saturday afternoon on a trip from Orlando a few years ago and this was the first place we stumbled on. Excellent beer selection, great patio and friendly patrons. And real dart boards. Very important.
(4)Jenny S.
A laid back dive bar tucked away from the riff raff in ybor city. LOTS OF GOOD BEER! Nice draft selection and hilarious staff - they even changed the tv for me so I could watch the OSU-Michigan basketball game. There we some interesting characters wandering in and out- probably in part from the Gasparilla parade that night. They have a small menu for food - mostly bar food, the black bean pizza was pretty good. Will definitely come back next time we are Tampa :)
(4)Ben V.
Not a bad place at all for great beer, great shows, and great times. NWB rocks!
(3)Kipp C.
This place is decent. The beers are good but the food is nothing to write home about. Everything about this place is average; food, ambiance, price, and service. It is worth an occasional stop but not going to blow your mind.
(3)Charlie K.
I stopped in to see a friend's band play one night and was absolutely blown away by this gem in Ybor. Excellent beer selection, a fun place to hang out, really couldn't ask for more. If I'm ever looking for a low-key night in Ybor with good friends and good beer, New World Brewery will definitely be my stop.

The pizza was relish!

While most in Tampa seem to think that New World is some sort of mecca to beerdom I hardily disagree. For some reason I have been going here for years and I think I am finally going to stop. The staff is generally rude, their sound guy for shows is terrible and incompetent and their beer is over priced. They've had Oktoberfest on tap for months now as I write this it's April WTF. They do have a decent pizza but that being there only saving grace isn't enough to keep me coming back. Oh yeah and they have one of the best jukeboxes in Tampa and it's free... Go here if you want a beer that is 30% more than it would be down the street at Tampa Bay Brewing Company or any other place in Ybor really and you'll also get to enjoy the favoritism of the pretentious staff when the hipster next to you at the bar gets a pint for $2 less than you just because they're "cool." EDIT FOUR YEARS LATER: I'm not going to delete what I wrote before when I was a precocious little hipster but I will add on. New World is a great place and Tampa is lucky to have it. The sound guy might be a dick and the bartenders might play favorites sometimes but who cares. They have great pints, good pizza and host some of the best bands in the ares. I'm upgrading it to a four star from my original two star.
(4)Jason R.
This is the best bar in Ybor. It is beer & wine only, but they have one of most extensive independent beer selection on tap and special bottled imports. The free music box is awesome and they have the best indie music scene in Tampa. Even My Morning Jacket played here before they hit it big. The pizza is great too. They also started offering BBQ on Wednesdays and the food is smoked there on site. It is true, you will definitely find some hipsters here, but this place is jam friendly as well. The staff is awesome and they take care of their regulars. This truly the only local/regular bar in Ybor and I hope it stays that way.
(4)Luke W.
The New World Brewery has an old, vintage feel to its furnishings and seems to be a pretty laid-back place to listen to some local music and drink a beer. I was there to watch my friend's band Old North East, and the sound system, while a bit too loud, was still good. The reason I'm not giving it higher rating is because the place might be a bit too relaxed -- a crazy/drunk man repeatedly went on stage and danced with the singer. I'm not sure if this is commonplace for most bars, but I felt that the management should have at least spoken to him about his disruptive behavior.
(3)David F.
I love this place. Great music (on the indie/alt-country/folk side), great flatbread pizzas and a good beer selection, with some nice ales on tap and a health selection of Belgian Abbey ales in the cooler. Outdoor /indoor seating make the atmosphere very comfortable and welcoming and the jukebox is free. Did I mention that the jukebox is free? All rounded out by a pair of foosball tables and I could spend my life there if I didn't have a job.
(5)Keith S.
New World is where I like to go when I want a beer adventure and I'm too tired to get in my car and cross the bridge to The Independent in St. Pete (I'm not going to argue the merits of one bar over the other, because I think they're both just peachy, thank you very much). The entrance and patio to New World has to be one of the most magical places in Tampa for me, save the wall across from the University of Tampa where all the crews have painted graffiti. I digress. The entrance immediately welcomes you into a garden of greenery, brick, and the musical sound of conversation or, well, music. I seriously think the plants filter out some of the cigarette smoke. That or the mythical elves that live behind the building. The interior bar is a kitchy hangout, with a hardwood bar and oddball decorations to capture your senses. The line up of beers is more than decent, with a few surprises here and there to try. Unlike many hipster hangouts, breaking through the red tape is pretty easy - the bartenders are seriously friendly and very earnest, the patrons will usually share a theory or two with you, and the jukebox is totally free and packed with lots of indie rock that you might know so you can make the scene your own right off the bat. Don't be a jerk and you'll fit right in. I'm a fan of the nights where there isn't a live band, but those nights can be great as well; just be prepared to pay admission and go with the flow. My only wish is that they'd mix up the CDs in the jukebox more often. Otherwise, I find quite a few zen beer moments at the fairly priced, rather friendly New World Brewery.
(4)Rebecca N.
Every bartender is super friendly. I have watched all of them pour 'sample' drinks to help patrons decide on what will be their drink of choice for the night. I always get something on tap and they pour it correctly. I always end up at New World when there isn't a cover so I don't exactly know what is normal. There is ample outdoor seating-- perfect for group drinking. Drinks are pretty cheap for Ybor-- $5 cider on tap in a huge glass. That is another thing-- they use actual glass rather then plastic cups so it is classier. Most def a good 'date' spot for impressing the ladies I'll pay an extra dollar for my cider to be in a glass. They have a huge selection of domestics and imports on tap and in the fridge. Stella, Delirium, Blackthorn among others on tap last I checked.
(4)David J.
Ybor's hidden gem - smoking BBQ, great pizzas, beer to spare, relaxed setting. Love this place!
(5)Cyndi C.
Every time we visit Tampa we head here for a great vibe and the awesome, Belgium and micro-beer selection. Their bottle beer selection is like a mini store-front filled with variety from all over the world. It is fun to read the labels on which beer to try. I love the patio seating, out under the trees. It is a chill vibe if your early then later it builds up for indie-rock or dj.. as the street crawl of Ybor goes into it's full swing. It's a great place to get together with friends and enjoy quality beer and tasty lil pizza. We enjoyed the "Ground Control" Pizza. Cheers.
(4)Robert S.
New World is where the cool people that live in Tampa go to lament the fact that they are cool people living in Tampa. I'm pretty sure I don't know what the inside of this place looks like because it's usually too smoky and I'm too drunk to make out any sort of detail. They have a lot of beer, and they give you a glass with the beer's name on it when you order one. That's adorable. Conveniently located right next to the Orpheum for the hipster on the go. I saw a Scrog reunion show here on Christmas day. Seeing old dudes losing their shit to what they listened to in high school is normally really, really sad, but this was awesome.
(4)Nada R.
Easily the best spot in town to have a tasty beverage, a quiet conversation, and relax in palm-shaded courtyard. They have a great beer selection at fair prices. Most times I've been, there's a DJ or a soloist performing. Some nights there's a live band and if you're lucky it's Nutrajet, only then you won't be relaxing, you'll be dancing and/or defending yourself. In any case, there are video games and generally friendly people who might stare at you at first, but eventually get distracted by someone else they don't recognize.
(4)This place is open DAILY from 3pm to 2am. They boast over 2 dozen import and micro/craft brews on draft, and many dozens in the bottle. They serve pizzas, flatbreads and the like from 5p to 11p (sometimes later if it's busy). They host live music and DJs in their outdoor beer garden almost nightly. This bar is dog friendly for well-behaved, well-socialized dogs on leashes. A great neighborhood spot and a must-visit for the beer lover.
(5)Mark M.
although i've seen good shows here the main reason i leave St. Petersburg is to get served Dale's Pale Ale on draught! the tap list yields over 20 mostly American micro-brews, leaning heavily toward West Coast cliffs mixed in with a few Belgian ales. they also represent a healthy variety of Americana in the bottle hitting most or all of the Brooklyn, Great Divide (Hercules IPA!) and Lagunitas beers as well as seasonal brews and old faithfuls for the conditioned and compliant. the place is hard on non-smokers even with the cozy patio and open bar. although i quit smoking i welcome the challenge of will to turn down temptation blowing in my face from all directions. however, it may bother your carbon sensitive friends.
(4)Jason S.
This place is so effin awesome.Amazing beer section, one might even use the word epic.we ordered 3 of there pizzas all were hits,1 of them had fetta tomatoes and olives. Barkeep was friendly and a beer guru.I will defintely be back to New World on my next ybor pub crawl.....and there patio is dog frienly
(5)Vincent W.
Really enjoyed the music, they had live bands playing outside on the patio. Sitting out in the patio was great, especially when I went the temp. was around the 60s with a light breeze here and there. I def. go back again and sit outside(if the weather cooperates) and grab couple drinks with the music going.
(4)Shannon M.
When it comes to a cool vibe and an mammoth sized selection of brew, New World Brewery has it covered. Great beer selection and a Juke box loaded with troubled crooners of the past.
(5)Mike R.
This place is hidden far away from all the clubs and nonsense that can be 7th Ave. One block over on 8th is a great place to chill on a patio and see a big local show or even national act roll through. The variety is fantastic as you can see all kinds of different bands. It is also one of the few places to see good punk bands, which is hard to find these days. Tampa use to be full of them. Small outdoor venue, and great prices for cover.
(3)Daniella S.
New World is one of 3 only reasons I ever get slightly excited to go to Ybor City for anything. The other two being Mema's & La Creperia. It is definitely a good atmosphere and it isn't a meat market like every other club or bar in Ybor is. You can actually go with a group of girlfriends and feel at ease. They have a great beer selection and I've always felt that the staff there is nice. The jukebox is also great and I like events there. It's fun to sit in the patio area when it is cool enough. It is my favorite venue in Ybor and I recommend it for anyone who is laid back, looking for a good pizza with yummy banana peppers, good brew and good music.
(4)Jason F.
The best for what it strives to be. Excellent, hearty (read: not NY) and rustic pizza. Best jukebox anywhere. Easily top 10 in the nation.. and completely free. Perfect atmosphere. .. and an inspiring, if overpriced, beer selection.
(5)C R.
If you want cheap shitty beer go someplace else. NWB offers beers for discerning beer aficionados. The bartenders have extensive beer knowledge and are always happy to patiently give samples if you're not sure what you want. I consider them part of my family. At NWB you won't find any of the common trash you normally find in the rest of Ybor. So stay away from my favorite biergarten if you are a cheap WATB (whiny ass titty baby).
(5)Lindsey P.
How can anyone not like this place? It's a gem, and the northstar pizza is it's best jewel. That and a Turbo Dog draft are my idea of heaven. Throw in Scotty (best bartender in the Bay) and I just may never leave ;)
(5)Liz M.
Great home in the wall place. Crazy assortment of beer, even sweet beers on tap. The bar staff is hilarious and very personable, even to newbies like us. There were clearly lots of regulars on a Sunday night, but we got really great service as well. The smoked chicken wings are one of the better appetizers that we have ever had. No really, amazing. The smoked and jerk flavors mix well and can be tasted through out the meat. We are defiantly coming back for those. The atmosphere is so cool and friendly. Great place.
(5)Brian F.
What can I say other than this is the best kept BBQ lunch place in Tampa. While the smells from the BBQ pit waft through the air as you enter the bohemian courtyard until you sink your teeth into the pulled pork or delicious sausages, New World Brewery is such a great place to enjoy a fabulous BBQ lunch. The meals are served buffet style. Today there were 4 cold salads a curry pasta salad, pesto pasta salad and 2 types of cole slaw, on the hot bar- mashed potatoes, baked beans, greens, curried chicken, jerk chicken, pulled pork, sausage and BBQ chicken and apple cobbler- yummy!! The plates are weighed each time you go up for servings. They make their own sauces and each one is distinctly flavorful and delicious. I prefer the Carolina Gold- I believe that is what it is called. They have an enormous beer selection as well! The staff are also what make this place so great. They are kind, attentive and always so welcoming! This is one of my fave places in Tampa!
(4)Dan M.
My friends and I drove from Orlando to Ybor to visit the bar that first got me into craft beer. I was greeted at the entrance with a $12 cover charge, which seemed absurd considering the live music wasn't a known act. We reluctantly paid and headed to the bar. On our way to grab our first drink, a random stranger passing by muttered "Don't go to the guy with the dreadlocks." Man were they right. He was the only bartender around when we got up to the bar, and right off the bat we could tell he didn't want to be there. He was very short with the whole group, unhelpful to those that didn't know the beer well, and downright rude to me. I've been to many craft beer establishments where the bartenders come off a bit pretentious, but this guy took the cake. I've never paid so much to get into a place to be treated so poorly, and will not be returning. There are too many other places in Ybor to get a good beer nowadays, and if they want to stay in the (rapidly growing) game, something is gonna have to change.
(2)Chad L.
Located next to a parking garage and the Church of Scientology, you would never suspect this small pub to be a home for great food. You enter through the dining area and into a large bar filled with Tampa memorabilia and hundreds of specialty beers. This place has atmosphere! This place has been a hidden gem on the West side of Ybor for almost 20 years. It has great patio seating and live bands most nights of the week. The decor inside is very unique and it's littered with all sorts of "chatski" type decorations. They have an old school pinball machine and a Foosball table if you a hankering for some sport.
(4)Mark P.
Cool hipster bar that's kind of divey inside with a laidback outside patio where you can watch live music at night. Inside has a jukebox that has hipster bands, most of whom I've never heard of. But it's free so it's a cool way to discover "new" music. There's also one of those 80s dome hockey games. Pretty nostalgic... I don't drink so I can't speak to the beers but they have a wide variety of craft beers and mead to choose from. I go there for lunch on occasion where they have a small BBQ buffet- a few meats-pork, chicken and sausage, maybe 7-8 sides, such as baked beans, macaroni and apple cobbler. You just grab a plate, load it up, have it weighed, order a drink and pay after you've finished eating. I load it up pretty good and it comes between $6-8. The pork has a nice, smokey flavor. Just be selective when you put it on your plate as some of it is really fatty. So you don't want to pay for something if you're not going to eat it. They have a few BBQ sauces to choose from. The macaroni is cold with an Italian dressing of some sort but it works. The baked beans are your average baked beans, not bad. I like the apple cobbler the most. They also serve pizza (it is in Ybor after all). On certain nights they have BBQ and live music; that's probably when you want to go to get the full experience of NWB. Check out their website.
(4)Brittany L.
Great place to see live music and have some beers. You enter the bar through the courtyard, pass a fountain, some picnic tables and umbrella tables, walk across the covered area where the stage is, then head inside. Inside you'll find a large L-shaped bar, foosball, a few TVs, tables, and a LOT of draft and bottled beers. It's not cramped and the decor is pretty funky. I love the globes and references to The Simpsons. They no longer brew their own beer and it has been "a long time" since they did. I've been 3 times in 2 months and plan to continue frequenting this place to take in shows. Sound has been great and other patrons have been tolerable (for the most part) and sometimes even enjoyable to hang out with for an evening. They're ok with you going in and out. Although the do have their own lot next door, on show nights it gets full. There's a parking garage about a block away or you can pay to park in another nearby surface lot. They have a food menu of BBQ and pizza but I haven't tried the food yet. Of note, there aren't stairs here and the tables are regular-height, so if you're out with someone who uses a wheelchair this venue can go onto your list. It's always awkward when the only options are the bar and high-top tables. Most standard chairs should be able to maneuver through the courtyard alright and the interior isn't cramped.

Ahhh, Ybor City's original tap house and variety brew pub! This place was alive and kickin' long before WoB, HoB and all these other folks decided that wanted to carry more than A-B brands. I know, because I was there. I haunted this place HEAVILY in the mid-to-late 90s and into the early new millennium. It's a great venue for parties, live performances and whatever else involves heavy drinking. Ybor pub crawls almost always include NWB as well, so a lot of times one can chill there and watch droves of folks keep wandering in to get they check sheet signed. This always has been, and will continue to be one of my favorite watering holes. Please note, they do not have liquor. This is a beer & wine venture. Oh, and their BBQ is pretty good too!
(4)Carlos H.
New World Brewery doubles as a great beer and pizza restaurant and also as a local concert venue. Many great local music acts and out of towners roll through New World Brewery and the place comes to life during shows. I wish I actually went to NWB more often because I always leave the place with good vibes. The place is small, but captures the local vibe that is Ybor City - When I judge the annual Ybor City Tapas Trail - this place is always on the top of my life for sure.
(5)Kali C.
During a recent trip to Florida I was able to discover this spot. They are a little off the beaten path but I'm very happy we found them. The first thing that brought us in was the smell of some delicious BBQ! The outdoor patio area is pretty with lots of foliage and the inside is very unique. I loved the syle inside as well- very creative! The staff was friendly and helpful, the beer list was fantastic, and the food was really good! We ended up getting wings (sooo good) as well as a BBQ pork pizza and artichoke dip. If I lived in the area I would be here frequently.
(4)Julie S.
Impressive beer list. Great selection of sour beers. We were lucky to be there for the BBQ lunch buffet which runs 11-3 Mon. - Fri. Smoky sausage, chicken, and pork with lots of side choices and different styles of BBQ sauce. Friendly service as well.
(5)Elizabeth R.
Great spot for live music. It's off the main strip and tucked away from the mayhem of Ybor. The beer selection is well...mind boggling, but the staff isn't too cool to help. (Which I appreciated) I didn't get a chance to nosh, but I'll definitely be back.
(4)Luke T.
This place is great. Wings are unique so don't expect traditional style. Pizza was awesome. Thin crust. The beer list is exceptional and every bar tender knew every question about every beer. I sat at the bar for an hour or so and all of them were pros. Incredible service, great pizza and wings, not much else you could ask for.
(5)Ric R.
Why a Five Star? Because it's everything about this place! Seriously. New World has an excellent selection of draft beers on tap (about 30) and an even larger expanse of bottled beer that keeps changing with seasonal output from US craft breweries and international imports. So the beer selection never gets stale here. Now the venue, an open air seating arrangement that has you thinking you are seated at a European style outdoor cafe with covered seating trees and a relaxing atmosphere. There courtyard is really nice. The inside area is loaded with, globes (umm, New World!) and host of other unique decor that makes this place stand out from the rest. The bartenders are all seasoned vets and quite the eclectic group. Dean is one the best bartenders in Tampa. It's worth going just to have a beer poured by a Tampa legend. Blake, Chris, Billy , Andrea. Jen and Joanne are also awesome personalities. If you have a question on a beer they all know the answer. The food here is pretty darn good especially the pizzas, a hidden perk. If you stop by for lunch they have a barbecue buffet that's priced by plate per pound so you can have as much or little as you want. The live bands this place brings in on Friday and Saturday (reasonable cover charge) are consistently great local talent and not so local. These are not your typical cover bands so you should be in for a treat. You might even catch a show of the next big thing!
(5)Colleen B.
I dig the ambiance for sure, great space inside and out. Huge porch, too bad it was raining the night we went or I would have enjoyed a drink out there. We sat at the bar and at first I was put off by our bartender, real rough around the edges, however, the other bartender (appeared to be the owner?) also helped us out and he was a doll! And as soon as we all started chatting, the other bartender warmed up a tad bit. Went for a cider and a pizza. Only a few ciders to choose from but at least it was an option! The pizza, which is their highlighted item, wasn't all that impressive. It was very thin crust and somewhat dry. Overall though, had a good time and really liked the vibe.

I have been going to New World Brewery since they opened over 15 years ago. This is not a typical ybor spot. This is a comfortable laid back bar with an interesting group of patrons and staff who support local live music. There is not always a live band playing but the bands that play here are not cover bands - instead, they are bands usually signed to an independent label that are on a first national tour or a local band developing a unique sound and working to prepare for a national tour. When there is a cover, you are in for a talented treat. NWB does not brew their own beer and hasn't for a long time. Instead, they focus on excellent craft beers from all around the country with only a few overtly mainstream beers (e.g. sweet water) but a large collection of national and international brews on draught and in bottle. There is a great outdoor patio with a fountain, a covered patio with the stage area and an indoor area with large open doors that flows seamlessly to the outside patio. There is heat during winter inside and portable heaters outside as well as AC in summer - even with the doors open, the space is always comfortable. The food is not to be overlooked either. There is BBQ on Wednesdays and sometimes on the weekend that is cooked in a large smoker outside. The pizza is my favorite menu item and is surprisingly some of the best pizza in Tampa (thin crust). Obviously, this is one of my favorite places in the world - consistently excellent for a large chunk of my life. There is free wifi and, during the day, this is a quiet nice place to relax and get work done (although there is no coffee - just soda and beer). Other reviewers who have complained about the cover charge don't understand that these are often nationally touring acts, not cover bands. If there is a cover, it is worth the money.
(5)Cassandra S.
One of my all-time tampa saves. They have off and have all different types of live music playing outside on the patio. They have a ton of different kinds of craft beers, and if you want. The vibe is a tiny bit nicer than a bad dive bar, the bartenders are all really nice, it's a great staple when you're looking for someplace a little different, but not too Ybor-y.
(5)Ho L.
On the night I checked it out, there was either a special event, or a cover charge. Either way, I don't believe in paying for the privilege to give you even more money for drinks.
(1)Kevin G.
Love this place. Go here for the shows and the beer. Food is solid, but seriously... The shows... And beer. I have had so many good nights here.
(5)Nichole C.
I am going back to this place. The bartenders were awesome. They had some bad a** kids playing live music. Very affordable and such a great feel. New favorite place in Ybor.
(5)Jennifer H.
I used to frequent this lovely establishment with my friends who enjoyed the beer and pizza. As a non-drinker, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the pizza. I've also spent many a night sitting outside in the garden-like patio and listening to live music. This is a laid-back location to spend your evening hanging out or allowing your ears to be treated to some great live music.
(4)Karen F.
I love this place! No, they don't brew their own beer anymore - now that you know, get past it, sheesh! They offer a huge assortment of craft beers, an awesome selection of ciders, and plenty of interesting choices, both in bottles and on tap. Many of the staff have worked here for years, and they all seem to hustle when the place is rocking. The food offerings are slim - just a variety of thin crust pizzas which are consistently tasty. They carry chicken wings now, too, but I have not tried those yet. Great venue to listen to live music; although relatively small, there is seating both inside, and in the wonderful outside courtyard. Be prepared to pay a small cover if live music is scheduled. It is best to park in the city lot just down the street to avoid towing concerns. Ybor has seen a LOT of bars come and go, but the longevity of New World shows that they know what they are doing, and do it well.
(4)Darryl F.
Great little brewery. Huge selection of draught and bottles. Super friendly bartender. Outdoor courtyard is an oasis of shade. I did not eat but the menu is small but interesting and the smoker smells great
(4)Steve E.
New World Brewery was our choice for lunch today as this place is located on the western edge of Ybor City along 8th Avenue in between 13th and 14th Streets. NWB sits about catty-corner from the Ybor City parking garage, and it's right along the trolley line, so it's quite easy to get there. There's a spacious area inside the building, and a terrific covered patio outside which affords plenty of places to sit an relax while enjoying a beer and listening to the live music. Since we were there for lunch, the atmosphere was much more subdued and so we sat outside to enjoy a nice Florida afternoon. Inside the bar / restaurant it's dark & rustic with lots of hand-hewn planks on the walls and floor. Decorations are simple, and display a lot of household antiques. NWB has a fantastic selection of craft beers on tap and in bottles in their cooler. You're bound to see some brews that are new to you, and the staff would be more than happy to make a suggestion or two. The outdoor patio is definitely where it's at, both during the day and later in the evening. The patio is bricked with lots of exposed wood, giving the place lots of relaxed charm. For those who make it to the New World Brewery during the day, you'll find a BBQ Buffet from 11 - 3pm with a selection of smoked meats and sides such as BBQ beans, mac & cheese, and salad all for $6.50 a pound. Today was smoked chicken, with ribs and brisket, plus the sides. A plate of food plus an iced tea (Sorry, I was working!) was just over $10. NWB is a great place to relax after work and enjoy a beer, or stop by later in the evening to listen to their live bands.

What a hidden treasure in Ybor. Mind you, I don't frequent Ybor that often but was in the area when a group of friends recommended it on a Friday night. Besides having to pay to park ($5), I loved it from the moment I walked in. The tantilizing smell of pizza and welcoming ambience made you feel like it was going to be a good night. Not too fancy but an evening of genuine fun where you could enjoy a pie with friends, drink beers and play foosball until the early morning. Of course, I did try the pizza and it was just as good as it smelth!

Great spot for live music. It's off the main strip and tucked away from the mayhem of Ybor. The beer selection is well...mind boggling, but the staff isn't too cool to help. (Which I appreciated) I didn't get a chance to nosh, but I'll definitely be back.

(5)Mark H.
(4)Kali C.
(5)Jason W.
I did not eat but the menu is small but interesting and the smoker smells great
(4)Candice M.
(3)Linda L.

Cheers!
(5)Rachel G.
Service here has always been top notch. Great atmosphere to kick back and play fooseball or sit and have a pizza with friends. Beer selection is unique and appreciated. I'll also add that Pilsner Urchel is on tap here, that alone would bring me out.
(5)Kirk D.
Used to come here when I lived in Tampa prior, but it's gone so far down hill. Pizza was overlooked and the staff was awful. Do not recommend at all.

(1)Colleen B.
(3)Andre F.

(4)James E.
(3)Gabriel P.
(4)Manuel M.

(5)Lo G.

Slightly.
(2)Lily R.

(5)Danesh J.
(4)Christine C.
(5)Blake T.
(4)Gabriel N.
(5)Kipp C.
This place is decent. The beers are good but the food is nothing to write home about. Everything about this place is average; food, ambiance, price, and service. It is worth an occasional stop but not going to blow your mind.
(3)P W.
This was my first drinking establisment that I went to on my recent trip to Tampa. They had a solid selection of beers and the service was great. I really like the Cigar City IPA. It lived up to the hype. This was overall, my favorite bar in Tampa. If I lived in the area, I would come here often.
(5)Sheri I.
My first time here. Came to see GreyMarket play and was not disappointed on bit! Grreat place, service was good (granted I only had a couple of beers) but a very entertaining place. I will be back.
(4)John P.
NWB rocks!
(3)Michael K.
(2)Charlie K.
(4)Cynthia C.
The pizza was relish!
(5)Tristan W.
