Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. First time trying Little Greek and it happens to be here at the Citrus Mall food court. The lady at the register was nice and helpful and recommended her favorite dish and that's what I ordered. A chicken skewer (2) plate with rice, salad, and pita bread. They called my name when it was ready and I was starving. The chicken looked good, but it was a little dry. The lettuce in the salad was dry and not fresh. The potato salad they put on top of the salad was so bland and mushy. The rice was a little salty and the tzatziki sauce was too thick. I will try Little Greek again, but maybe not at this location.

Little Greek is a decent choice at the Citrus Park food court. There are plenty of fresh greens, especially if you order a salad. My favorite salad at a Greek place is the horiatiki (village) salad, which comes with no lettuce. But it should be dressed with olive oil and vinegar, not the sweetened, bottled dressing. A proper horiatikisalata wouldn't have the mayonnaise-based potato salad mentioned in the menu either (sorry, Tarpon Springs, but that's only a local tradition). That's okay, though, because the kitchen forgot to put it on my salad anyway.

Today was the first time I ate at Little Greek in the Citrus Park mall. I won't be back. I am a huge fan of Little Greek and I've tried them all around the Tampa area (South Tampa is the most delicious and incredibly friendly), but this experience was nothing like it. The girl who took my order apparently didn't know how to smile, but OK, whatever. My food took forevvvvvver to come out, and my husband was halfway done with his food from nearby Steak Escape before I even got to the table. I had a chicken pita and the chicken was incredibly dry. I didn't even finish it. The Greek salad was delicious, though, so at least the experience wasn't a complete disappointment. But I won't waste my money there again.

I don't write reviews I'm more of a reader, but after my 2nd visit I had to. I have been to every little greek in the Bay Area and when I found out another one opened near by so I took the extra drive to the mall instead of going to the Westchase location. When I walked up to the counter the young lady was on her phone I stood there for about 10 second before I had to way something for her to notice me standing there. She took my order then proceeded to doing whatever it was on her phone. When I got the salad everything was great minus her being on the phone. My second time going I decided to take out, there were a few people in line but it wasn't crowded. When I got home there was no feta, what is a greek salad with no feta cheese? The leaves looked frail and had no life to it. The potato salad looked and tasted like mashed potatoes. One thing I really look forward to are the onions, but there was only 2 mini ones on the salad. Overall I am completely disappointed - what a waste of $10.
