SPECTACULAR new addition to the South Tampa area. Clean facility, friendly service, and all of it topped off with excellent food. Menu is small, but has all the right options. The Drunken Noodle was awesome, as were the thai rolls and the panang chicken curry. To-Go service was quick and easy! Give this place a shot, food is among the best in Tampa thai restaurants (aside from Thai Island, of course)...

First, the fresh rolls were not fresh - made ahead and refrigerated. Dishes were over sauced and oily. Nothing stood out as desirable. There are MUCH better Thai restaurants locally, I can think of about five within 3 miles of this place that do take-out also.

For fast food Thai, this place is pretty great. I love the touch screen ordering system. And the food... restaurant quality. If you are going to bring a date then this probably isn't the place. The ambiance is a notch above Subway, but it likely won't impress. Still, it is very clean and food is served up fast and it tastes pretty darn good. My girlfriend and I both had the Pad Thai. And we both thought it was very good, especially for fast food. However, if you want it spicy then order the hottest one. I got mine served one notch below their spiciest selection and there was barely any heat on it. It's also worth mentioning that they serve beer & wine in addition to standard soft drinks. That kind of makes this a good spot for pretty much any night of the week to pop in and grab a quick (and good) Thai meal. Or you could stay a bit and have a beer. Not bad at all."

If you're looking at a relatively inexpensive fast option for some Thai food, JusThai is great. Clean, crisp looking establishment and the entrees are cooked fast with very fresh tasting ingredients. Our go-tos are the panang curry and the Bangkok beef. Just the right amount of spice, my hubby eats it with the included brown rice (you can get white), I prefer it on its own. Not a fancy sit-down type of place but it does have comfy seating inside and out (a nice little patio area). This place has been a great go-to when we've been looking for something fast that doesn't taste like fast food. My husband loves to bring it home too.

This is a good place to get quick Thai food, that's freshly prepared. There is a nice quick ordering screen, it is bright and inviting. The pricing is OK, for what I am getting it isn't excessive, but if it was priced more aggressively, I wouldn't have a comment. What is great it the orders are cooked right then, except the rolls. They are refrigerated, and I ordered them once and not again. They have everything mise-en-place. My standard test dish is Panang Curry, and they do a good job, I have had better and a whole lot worse. The down side of quick order and pick up is the cook doesn't get the message all the time, for example, when I say very hot, I mean very hot. Part of the charm of Thai food is the spicy level is cooked in for that full gullet heat, not the front of the mouth heat you get from late application of hot sauce. If the waitress doesn't let the cook know, or I can't tell the cook on the screen how does he know to "hurt me good"? Its a nice place, its very accessible, and for a meal before Publix shopping, or an outing it is a very good choice.

Consistently decent thai food. I recommend trying the basil chicken. I am not a fan of the styrofoam plates. Otherwise this place is great.

The cleanest Thai joint I e been to in Tampa. Friendly cashier took our order, and we had our freshly prepared food in the matter of just a few minutes. You can watch the Chef's prepare the food while you wait, or just sit down and wait. I got Spicy Pad Thai and it was excellent....but I'm sure it's gonna burn again tomorrow....lol. It's located in a very nice Shopping Plaza 1 block off of Dale Mabry in South Tampa....I will def be back to this place! I will def return to this place.

I live down the street from Justhai. It was one of those days when I didn't feel like cooking and wandered over there to get a quick bite. Boy, did I regret that for the next two days! The restaurant itself was very clean and the staff was attentive. The touch screens made it easy to order. I ordered the beef with broccoli and brown rice dish; it is a dish that I routinely order at various Thai restaurants around town. This meal was over-priced for what it actually was. It was the "quality" of fast food. It simply just did not taste as good as "sit down" authentic thai restaurants---however, the meal cost me about the same. As soon as I started eating the meal, I began to bloat... and remained bloated all through the night. I weighed myself the next day and, to my astonishment, was carrying around 5-7lbs. of water weight. This has never happened after eating at other Thai restaurants. After eating Justhai, not only was I disappointed in the quality of the food for the price I was charged, I felt extremely sick and uncomfortable for up to two days later. Honestly, I will never eat here again. I think I'd rather muster up the motivation to cook my own meal, go to an authentic Thai restaurant, or take a walk to Little Greek down the street.

Good food. Basil stir fry and pad Thai were great. Fast foodish atmosphere is a bummer. Great prices. Reasonably timed service. Friendly clerks.

JusThai definitely has a few really good things going for it but I think they could do even better. Inside, it's very clean and bright - I like the modern, minimalist decor, and they have lots of seating inside and outside too. Another pro: the food is cooked fresh, right in front of you after you place your order, so you know it hasn't been sitting under a heat-lamp in the kitchen for hours. The ordering system is pretty neat too: it's a touch-screen at the counter where you can select your preferred protein (beef, chicken, shrimp, tofu), choose your spiciness-level (mild, medium or hot), rice (jasmine or brown) and give instructions on ingredients to leave out (peanuts, cilantro, etc.). If that's too complicated, you can simply order in person with the employee at the counter. Once you order, they cook your food in a matter of minutes and call your number to pick it up at the counter. I think the food is mostly good with a few misses. The Tom Yum soup is very good - citrusy and fresh, as are the Fresh Spring Rolls (not the deep fried ones). The Panang Curry is also tasty, and I really liked the Pad Thai as well, although neither one is entirely authentic-tasting. Some of the misses for me were the General Thai chicken which just tastes like Chinese takeout that you would get at the mall - it's deep-fried chicken bites coated in a sweet sauce - think: General Tso's chicken - which I never order for myself but tasted since it was on the table. The Basil Stir Fry was just OK - the veggies were nice and crisp but the sauce was a little too heavy and sweet for me. And the Drunken Noodles were pretty good but nothing I'd order again. I recommend this place for a quick dinner if you're in the mood for Thai but don't feel like anything fancy. Eat there or take-out, either way I think it's a good option if you need to please both children and adults or just satisfy your Pad-Thai craving.

Tom Yum soup was good, not great. Some of its flavors were a bit overpowering, and we couldn't finish all of the juice. Shrimp spring rolls were fresh and very large (two to an order). I think the price point and flavor were fine. I had to skip the entree altogether because the tofu protein option was described as "already pre-fried" -- which essentially killed any notion of fresh. My wish list: - Better educated and more polished staff. With such an inventive concept for Tampa, the floor talent should match. They're going to be the first to validate or obliterate your marketing efforts. The woman behind the register didn't seem savvy to the Justhai concept, didn't field questions well, and certainly didn't represent one of your protein options well. - Soft steamed tofu in addition to the fried. I've never visited a Thai or fusion restaurant that didn't offer both. My preference relates to taste (the way it absorbs flavor) and texture, but I'd imagine those a bit more health-conscious might prefer it as well.

I love this spot for take-out. It's clean, and they seem to take pride in the sanitation of their restaurant. For a dine-in spot, I like a cozier atmosphere, and perhaps in the winter it would be nice to eat outside. In the meantime, I've loved everything I have tried, and usually get the shrimp rolls to go...they are fresh and crisp, while the rice paper has just the right moisture. I love that they have the zero calorie ICE beverages, too. A light, yummy lunch on a hot summer day!

  • Bryan T.

Wow! What a difference in quantity of food from their first week of opening. The chicken Pad Thai is great but be careful on your spice level. I went 3(hottest) and paid for it hours later, 2 is plenty spicy and 1 is great if you just want a little kick. Pretty quick and super fresh food. Would go back!

For quick Thai food this place is great and affordable. Love the simplicity of the touch screen menu.

  • EJ P.

Great concept, not so great execution. The food is OK. THIS IS NOT AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD, but that's not what they are going for here. Justhai may be slightly better than something like Pei Wei, for example. It's like these people copied from the Pei Wei concept but decided to offer only Thai food. You have to pick and choose what to order here: the tom yum soup is salty and nasty. The panang curry chicken was light and tasty. I would go back and try some other items. Free wifi, nice dining area, fast. Great concept, I just wish the food was better.

  • Ellie M.

I would only go to this place for a quick, convenient lunchtime meal. Unfortunately I went for dinner and ate in. The food was less than average - I've had a lot of Thai and this was not particularly authentic or tasty. I'm giving them a couple stars for the speed alone, but I would have preferred taste. I wouldn't waste your time here if you are looking for real Thai. Anyone who rated it highly based on food obviously doesn't have much experience.

This place opened about a month ago and I've been probably 6 or 7 times. My wife loves the pad thai and I'm all over the drunken noodles. Really nice inside and nice seating outside as well. This place looks like it is set up to franchise so don't be surprised if you see more pop up in the Tampa Bay area.

I've been here several times since it opened. I love the kiosk ordering, especially since it remembers me when I return. The food is fast, fresh, and yummy. The restaurant is super clean, which I truly appreciate..Everything is white, a dead give away if not clean, so it certainly is refreshing to know they do a great job keeping it spotless. Love being able to see the food being cooked...it always makes me nervous when the kitchen is way in the back and you don't know if it's clean or not. My family LOVES this place, and we've basically ordered everything on the menu. My favs are Basil Stir Fry Chicken, Lemon Grass Noddle with Shrimp, and my kids fav is the Chicken Fried Rice and General Thai Chicken. The portions are large, yet to finish a whole entree. Great website too! And great outdoor seating area...not enough of those in Tampa. In response to the person who thinks if you like the food, you don't have much experience, that's ridiculous. Taste is purely subjective... And by the way..."real Thai" can only be found in Thailand. Been there lately?

this is a go to place for Thai food. more Americanized than most. the atmosphere is great real modern, clean and employees are very friendly. I get the general Thai chicken every time. it is my fav. very crispy great flavors. and CHEAP! and if you like spicy get the Thai hot. very good flavors. try it out you won't be disappointed

Justhai is great! I was surprised to see the 2 negative reviews. The restaurant is immaculate and I've never had a concern about food preparation. The food is great and a perfect healthy fast food choice. Friendly staff that always remembers me. For the Yelpers that had a bad experience-I would try Justhai again.

Twice in 1 week...the drunken noodle with double chicken is amazing! Outdoor seating is refreshing this time of year and enjoy the clean simple atmosphere. I also like the location in South Tampa.

  • Ashley M.

Curry was NOT curry. No sauce at all and was the wrong color. Also, felt super sick after eating from there and am thinking other reviewers were right- maybe MSG? Would not recommend to anyone.

    (1)
  • Victoria F.

The concept of this place sounded great and I wanted to like it which is why I had been here a handful of times but each time I felt sick after. I have spoken to other people that have eaten there about it and they said they felt the same way....possibly MSG? Also the majority of their staff is kind of rude. If you want good Thai go to Kombo Kitchen food truck literally half a mile a way. Much more authentic and friendlier staff.

This is a good quick serve option if you're looking for thai food. The menu is limited but adequate. I ordered the lemongrass chicken noodles. Honestly I didn't really taste any lemongrass, but the flavors were paired nicely. They serve the to go in a Chinese to go box, which is difficult to mix together to eat while on the go. I'd rather prefer a take out box. This place is located in the same shopping center as land and sea. The good thing is they did honor the yelp check in for a free drink.

What happened to this place? We used to eat from here regularly and loved everything we got. Lately, it's been going downhill. This time things were pretty much awful. The portions barely filled the containers and nothing tasted like it should. I got the curry and the shrimp were rubbery while the veggies seemed stale and too hard. My husband got the beef entree and it was just blah. We also ordered the Thai rolls that usually come with chili sauce, but instead came with a vinegar sauce that wasn't very good. Nothing seemed fresh, which was one of the things of the past that kept us coming back. We give up. It just isn't good anymore. So sad.

I have never had a bad experience at this establishment. Today the staff made sure I had no issue finding and ordering what I wanted. Gary did a very good job preparing my drunken noodle clarifying exactly how I wanted it so I would not be disappointed and believe me I wasnt. The food tasted spectacular and service was above par.

  • Joseph C.

Something has changed here. Pad thai was always consistent and delicious. The last 2 times, it tasted nothing like pad thai, but rather burnt noodles. I was given something that was supposed to be sweet chili sauce for my spring rolls, and when I returned it, they gave me something else that was also not sweet chili sauce but rather a rice vinegar, soy sauce mix with something white floating in it. I would like to return, but not in the near future.

  • Cindy C.

Way too little food for the price charged. They don't even fake it and fill the carton with vegetables! All 3 times I ordered food without rice and paid for extra chicken and shrimp the carton was 1/2 full. For about $13 you get mostly veggies little protein and a very small portion. Very disappointing.

  • Marie S.

I don't think this is authentic Thai food at all. My Mom's best friend is Thai so I ate a lot of Thai food growing up and it remains one of my favorite types of food. That being said if you go and don't expect your fav Thai food dish to be there, and just have expectations of Asian-esque kind of dining than maybe you might enjoy it?

  • Denise E.

Love! Love! Love! This place is amazing! I am not even kidding when I say this has the best Pad Thai and Drunken noodles in the area. Most Thai restaurants now days make their Pad Thai very wet and almost red like. Some may prefer , however, being of Thai background I prefer how it's made here. The portion size of very generous and I always have enough for the next day or later that day if I can hold out . I would recommended this of you are into authentic tasting Thai noodles rather than the more Americanized type. The staff and owner have always been been very polite and makes you feel very welcome. I love it

Super convenient and not fast food. Not five star thai food but it is pretty tasty and the quality is great. The fresh rolls and my go to. The panang curry is by far my fav. I have only got take out so far but they have a few tables outside that you can eat at.

The service was fantastic and the gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful as it was put first time here. The food was very tasty and the location was very clean and well kept. Would definitely come back.

If food is not greasy and it's good, it's worth paying for. This really is Just Thai food without the oily MSG mess of other places. I saw that someone yelped that it was greasy but here is the real deal: ask for your food cooked without oil. Then, order the fresh spring rolls instead of those other fried lil monsters and avoid 'fat face' altogether. Seal the slimming deal with steamed white or brown rice and really bring Thai-sexy back. Waist friendly food and smiley service- swasdi! (hello)

  • April G.

I really like this place. The food is prepared quickly and it's really fresh. The prices aren't great, but they are reasonable. I see other people complaining about the fresh rolls, but as far as I'm concerned, they make the best in town. I haven't tried a lot of the different items on the menu because the Pad Thai is so good, I haven't wanted anything else.

  • Heather H.

Food was good first of all. But, the two female employees that were younger, were very unprofessional yelling at each other in front of me, wiping noses and not washing hands, sneezing while preparing food an saying "oops snottzys" and not washing hands. The older lady that seemed to be more in charge prepared many food items bare handed, no gloves. Everyone else wore gloves so this seemed odd to me. The only professionals were the older lady making spring rolls and the wok cook. If they hired better employees I think they would do very well since its a great concept and food is decent. I was ready to walk out before I even got my food due to their behavior, but didn't have time for lunch somewhere else. Glad the food was good at least.

After posting my review a few days ago, the owner of Justhai sent me a long message thanking me for my feedback. He offered my wife and me to come in and sample some different dishes free of charge. He sincerely believes that the poor entrees we had can be attributed to an inexperienced wok cook. The owner certainly cares about the customers opinions! I think that alone warrants a second chance and I'll just give them the benefit of the doubt on the inexperience wok cook story and bump them up a star on my rating. I'll pop back in in the next couple weeks (incognito!) and then offer my unbiased opinion.

Just finished the penang curry with extra shrimp. The curry sauce was perfectly seasoned and was just as good as traditional Thai joints I've been to. The chicken dumplings were tasty and done well. And make sure to try the B'nana dessert. They are like Thai baklava without the guilt. The owner of the franchise is great to talk to. Can't wait until this hits MPLS. The cooks were pretty new, so they initially forgot the extra shrimp. It was forgivable. Oh, and if you are paying with a card, they have a neat touchscreen ordering system. Otherwise, cash with a verbal order.

I'm not even sure where to begin this was so abysmal. The atmosphere was modern and clean, but clearly felt out of place for a fast food chain. Which is what this amounts to. I ordered a shrimp pad Thai and a taro boba smoothie. The most generic hallmark of any Thai restaurant in my opinion, save for Thai tea which I didn't opt for as the picture looked like a sad watered down mess. The pad Thai noodles were dry and undercooked. Which I later found out to probably be in conjunction with the bottom of my bowl being a salty soup as opposed to a sauce. The shrimp I ordered with it was overcooked to the point of rubber. Over all the whole entrée felt like I was given a box of flavored rubber. Onto the smoothie, if one could call it that.. What I got was a flavorless watery mess. Whats worse, if my taste buds weren't deceiving me, the smoothie was made with heavy cream instead of sweetened condensed milk. An overall weird and distasteful experience, I won't likely be visiting again

I thought this place was pretty decent for a quick Thai option around town, but the curry itself lacked real flavor. I came in because Kombo Kitchen was closed and I wanted some panang curry. I had never been to Justhai either so I figured it couldn't hurt to try it out. The restaurant itself looks kind of trendy and modern and the ordering process is very independent. Think no waiters but just a computer screen where you customize what you want to eat. The ordering process was simple. I ordered the curry with extra broccoli and had a seat. A couple of minutes later my curry was ready. You actually get to see the curry being prepared in front of you which is super cool. The curry wasn't bad, it just wasn't very spicy and lacked a lot of real flavor. I guess KK's curry is especially good because I found this curry rather bland. I am sure if I ordered it spicier it would have tasted better. For a quick option I don't think this place is that bad. I would come back to try some other menus since I know the food is prepared fresh and is relatively easy to order.

  • Amanda C.

No. Thai is not supposed to taste like that or be made like that I was highly disappointed I understand that it's a fast food concept and it is very minimal on the part of the worker but they need a real chef and some real Thai spices I was just very unimpressed being as I love Thai. It is fair to say that my servers are only two because I was with 5 people and we all hated it. I'm giving it two stars because they do give you a lot of food, but like I said, it taste like it just came out of the freezer and there is no flavor . sorry.

Ran in here for a quick bite after a workout. The place appeared clean, the manager was friendly, and it was so handy to have the ability to enter my order directly into their touchscreen computer. It was very cool to be able to pay for my order at the computer, too - once I figured out where the slide slot was. Unfortunately - it wasn't quick - for soup and dumplings it took almost 15 minutes. The 'dumplings' were long and skinny, with almost no filling, and minimal flavor. With only four in an order, that was a complete waste of money. Lastly - the Tom Yum Soup bared no resemblance to any TYS I have ever had in any Thai restaurant ever. There was no heat, no bite of the sour flavor, and the soup obviously had not blended together in flavor. Hard mushrooms, hard scallions, etc. What a disappointment. I won't be back - I've had frozen Thai microwave dinners that I've enjoyed more.

We were famished after leaving the pure barre Yelp event and were happy to see Justhai next door. We popped in and promptly ordered from the computer screen ordering system. I was not really a fan of this system as it kept freezing/locking up on me. I would have rather just ordered in person. Onto the food. I got the Thai basil chicken (thai hot, OH YEAH) and it was good. I wouldn't call it great, but for a somewhat fast food Thai place, it was good. Others at the table ordered soup and panang curry and I heard no complaints. I don't really know that I will come back to Justhai as it simply wasn't my favorite, but for a quick option it will do the trick.

Drunken noodles all the way. It's great I found a Thai place that has these. I lived in Thailand for about a year and always got drunken noodles on the street. Justhai's tastes very authentic and fresh.

Great healthy and delicious food. I enjoyed the Panang Curry. Medium spice was perfect for me. Check out Just Thai next time you want to enjoy healthy food that is quick and tasty.

Good for a fast Thai place. Order at the counter. Got the Thai roll to start. Pretty good, the sweet chili sauce wasn't so great. Then ordered the panang curry with just vegetables with jasmine rice. Good!!

We went to the new St. Pete site. Easy to order and ready quickly. The portions were small, though. We ordered extra meat and veggie, but it wasn't noticeable that they added anything. They forgot the sauce. The spicier option was good. Very spicy if you like that. Probably best to let them work out the kinks before going back. The food was good, though.

Just Thai (or is it JusThai?) was a convenient meal when I was in the area. If I find myself in the neighborhood I would consider it an option again, but it's not the kind of place I'd seek out for dinner. It's the fast food version of Thai cuisine- you plug your selections into a computer and your food is served minutes later. This said, the quality surprised me in a very positive way- all ingredients tasted fresh and the food was well prepared. Ordered Pad Thai; it had more of an Americanized flavor, emphasis on soy sauce and sweetness, rather than the traditional Thai profile which is more complex. But it wasn't overly sweet or salty- well balanced for what it was. The only major problem was it was swimming in sauce. Good pad thai is more like a stir fry where the flavors absorb into the noodles. This was sauced so heavily I still have a thick layer covering my plate now that all the noodles are gone. It also was skimpy on protein for $8.50- I had a scant few morsels of chicken.

I went a couple of months ago at around 3, and there was no one there. I expected that because it was just a regular day, but dang it got really awkward. Then the owner's family came in and they started talking really loudly, and I wished had the pad Thai to go. But it was too late because the order had arrived and they placed it on the table for me. The pad Thai was okay... Not bad but not remarkable in any way. It was too expensive for the small portion that they gave me. The interior design reminds me of Yogurtology, which is good if you're just grabbing food to go, but not for a party or date. I recommend Kombo Kitchen instead of this for good Thai food.

I loved the vibe of this restaurant. It was bright and super clean, and had a nice modern feel to it. You order off of a touch screen, and it is super simple. I just wish that they would have had more information on the touch screen. I kept having to look up to the big menu to see what was in certain entrees, and it would have been easier to just have it right at my finger tips. The restaurant is tucked in the corner of a shopping center, so I hadn't seen it before. We pretty much just stumbled upon it when we were interested in dinner last night. I got the Pad Thai, and it was very good. It was a big portion, and I loved the taste. It wasn't super authentic, but was so good. The manager was extremely friendly. He made sure we didn't have questions or need any help. The other people working there could polish their customer service skills a bit. Overall, it was a very good experience. I will definitely be back!

I'm a Vegan first off and we are on vacation looking to grab something to eat. My wife said look there's a Moe's for you as I pulled into the plaza, I noticed just Thai and lets check this place out. What a Jewel of a find, the staff very friendly and ordered basil with Tofu and basil shrimp. After arriving back to our hotel suite, my wife and son had there chopsticks in hand looking at me to serve them the shrimp basil. Total silence for 15 minutes. :)))) Ray G Atlanta

    I. Love. This. Place. I have tried the pad thai, panang curry, lemongrass noodle, and basil dishes. All are delicious, although my fav is the panang curry. Also, be sure to try their Thai iced tea!

One of my favorite Thai places in Tampa! It's always really quick, hot, and fresh. The Boba tea is amazing and I always stick to the drunken chicken, which is awesome every single time. You can even order online and it's ready to pick up by the time you drive over! They have computers right when you walk in and you can place your order yourself- add extra veggies, take away things you don't like etc which is pretty cool. Also really affordable. I just heard they were opening up another location is st.pete and I am really happy for them, this place deserves to succeed :)

Very bright and clean. Fast service. The Panang curry and Pad Thai were great! Give them a try. The Lemongrass noodle dish was very good but I'd have liked more spice. We tried the shrimp thai rolls on our second visit. We liked the peanut dipping sauce that came with it. As we had it for take out they wrapped in in plastic wrap to keep it from drying out... well thought out approach to take out I thought.

People are nice enough but with the new hires allowed to be the star of the show, we had an experience that if it was our first time-we would rate it a 0. The chicken had fish sauced mixed in and was just rancid. The appetizers came 10 minutes after the entrees... The first boba tea was just awful. They put four scoops into the drink and it tasted like pepto bismol. The second one came out 4 Minutes later and was blended without being asked.. Wanted just iced and it took 10 minutes to remake. All you can hear is complaint after complaint. Every customer just got crappy service and mistakes left and right. That being said the final Product was tasty and all good. That being said STOP using so much styrofoam. Get real plates for dine in customers. First review; Food is fast and tastes amazing. Friends told me I would not like it, but I have not found a better Pad Thai in town. Might not be traditional.. but hey its tasty! Prefried Tofu was tasty! STOP USING Styrofoam. I hate Styrofoam and the unneeded use of plastics. This restaurant can improve here. funniest article ever: blog.mywintercap.com/arc… but seriously: ehow.com/info_8430916_ba…

Really liked it! We will be back! Nice change from the usually moes, tropical, and crispers. I loved how clean it was inside. Everything was very modern. The food was really good. The brown rice was cooked perfectly. The Spring rolls did not have excess rice paper which can be hard to eat. The lemongrass noodles were fresh and not too spicy. The service was great, as well!
