I've passed Ho Ho To Go on the way to La Teresita and thought it a funny name...so then when they dropped a delivery menu off at my apartment building I saved it. I just ordered crag rangoons, chicken fried rice and bourbon chicken...and then tossed it in the trash. The only positive thing I can say is that the delivery was quite fast and the delivery guy was nice. The crab rangoons were ok...they tasted just like they always do and we ate them. But my boyfriend and I both took one bite of each dish and decided it wasn't worth it. No joke, within a few minutes we both had like acid reflux come up in our throats. This went straight into the trash, along with the menu. I can see why they're trying to get more business, I can't imagine them ever having a repeat customer!

Not that great in taste but for $5.50 I won't expect taste like some biggies. The portion is huge for a single person and along with a can of soda isn't bad option. I would recommend it occasionally for lunches and Chinese food take out if interested .

I really tried to give this place several chances but after today, I could no longer do it. I really never cared for their food but because it's in walking distance of my job and needed something quick, I gave them another try. For awhile, the only thing I would get was the dumplings and egg rolls, but after today I won't be returning. The fried dumplings was so soaked in oil, I had to use several napkins to blot them dry. Once before I got the fried rice and it was gummier than gummy bears. This place is terrible, don't waste your money.

No, they are not the best for Chinese food. But for $5.50, the lunch special serves up a huge portion of food plus a can of soda, and it's all served up in about 10 minutes. The fried rice is pretty tasty, albeit greasy, and the General Tso's chicken is delicately breaded yet doesn't get too soggy. Adorably, they gave me a couple florets of steamed broccoli, two healthy bites in otherwise artery-clogging food.

Price and quantity are still good, but quality really is lacking. I've passed up going to Ho Ho's on a few occasions recently because it just isn't very tasty. I love getting soup at Chinese restaurants and it has been pretty terrible the last few visits. Sorry Ho Ho's :-/

I used to eat here all the time when it was on S. Howard in Hyde Park. It was my favorite Chinese restaurant so I was sad to see it go. When they moved to their new location we ordered delivery a few times. We were very disappointed every time and so we started looking for a new place. It's been years since we tried them but recently we received a flyer and decided to try again. We have ordered delivery from them 3 times in the last 4 months and every time we did the food was good. They have a lot of great veggie options that other places don't offer. Our favorites are General Tso's tofu, sesame tofu and sweet and sour tofu. Their vegetable fried rice and spring rolls are great too! Delivery is fast and cheap! It is American style Chinese but if you like that you'll like Ho Ho!

As another use stated... I do not know why the reviews are so bad. Ho Ho's offers tasty, fast, and cheap chinese food. The few times that I have ordered to go, I have never waited over 10 minutes. I usually get the orange chicken or ribs and it tastes fresh and is made on the spot. The workers are always friendly and they also deliver.

I am tired of people crying about ho ho to go's service and food quality. In the interest of full disclosure, I live deep in the ghetto on the "wrong side" of I-275 in Tampa. They are one of the few business that are willing to brave the perils of the hood and deliver me food when I don't feel like getting off my ass. Regardless of my limited options, I applaud Ho Hos prompt delivery of decent food under the circumstances. Half the time the person that answers the phone does not have a firm grasp on the English language, but frankly that just adds to the cultural experience that I expect when ordering far easy cuisine. It's Chinese food for God's sake. Most Chinese delivery restaurants wouldn't pass a thorough health inspection on a daily basis, but frankly that's part of the cultural experience as well. Ho Ho's is, at worst, on par with what you should expect from any Chinese restaurant The door bell rang rang while I was typing this review, and I was delighted to see a friendly Ho Ho's employee waiting with my order. They were 20 minutes early and the guy even had change for a $100. Oh, and the food is fucking delicious. Ho Ho's earned and deserves all 5 stars i awarded them.

So i have gone through my periods of ordering HoHo's to Go. mainly because they deliver to seminole heights. and its average. But just 10 minutes ago, I chomped down on a dress shirt F'N BUTTON in my egg roll. I thought it was bone it was so hard! When i spit it out and put the piece together and saw it was a white/mother-of-peal button, i about lost my cool in my own house. i mean thats it! My jaw hurts and i will not even attempt to eat the rest of my meal because that is just gross. HoHo's will be hearing from me tomorrow ASAP since they just closed for the night. but that is uncalled for. i dont know where they order their egg rolls from but it just cost them big time. NEVER EAT HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR TEETH AND WELL BEING. No excuses!

My life-long experience with Chinese restaurants, is that: -There is usually one nearby and obligatory in strip malls & airports. -Most are small, family owned/operated, and clearly not prosperous. -Menus are almost identical, and highly geared for quick prep and low-cost for take-out. -Quality is tightly clustered in the middle ground of acceptable/OK, and rarely extraordinary or abysmal. -I personally use hot-sour soup and egg rolls as my benchmark tests for quality. Thin, off-flavored soup or over-fried, mostly limp veggie/sprouts rolls fail the test. ************************************************** Well, based on these criteria, Ho Ho to Go....is more like Yuck Yuck, GottaLeave! It is nearby and small, and part of a local chain where I have had decent food at other locations. Unpleasant smells forecast the sub-standard food. It is cheap and convenient, and may have had a bad day on the only time I got food there. But I have no intention of trying again considering the abundance of superior options just within blocks.

Considering that there is not much good Chinese food in Tampa, and I just moved fairly close to this I decided to give it a shot. I walked in and ordered off the menu and got it to go. I went with a standard of Mongolian Beef. I got the combo that included an egg roll and soup as well. The egg rolls were fantastic. The Hot and Sour soup was quite good too, decent, but when I added the fried noodles they included it become much better. A bit thick maybe but it could have just been today. The Mongolian Beef was pretty good though definitely not the best I've had. Better than any other in Tampa though. It had a lot more vegetables than most but just as much meat. The best thing is that they actually have fresh hot peppers (Thai) that they used to spice my food! Being a heat lover it has always upset me that no Chinese restaurant knows how to spice stuff up. Luckily Ho Hos did. I will definitely be returning.

Maybe Ho Ho To Go isn't a very fancy and expensive restaurant but I honestly think that their food is delicious and it's cheap. I love the fried rice and egg rolls. I think Ho Ho To Go has amazing food. I go there almost every week.

Don't know why the reviews are so bad. Cheap, quick Chinese food that is tasty. The pork fried rice wonton soup and General Tso chicken were very good. They also deliver.
