I'm a BIG fan of breakfast...on our way to The Florida Aquarium we stop in to have a lil bite to eat. The staff here are awesome the service was good, the staff was friendly and accommodating. Even when you're waiting, fresh coffee is provided and to you to make your wait comfortable. There is an array of breakfast, lunch and healthy options. I had the Strawberry cheesecake stuffed French toast and it was amazingly good. The Breakfast of champions right here.

Nice customer service. People were very kind and nice. But... Food? Ummm... The omelets we ordered looked plastic. Seriously! I had no idea whipped eggs in the omelette could look like that.... I had to ask the server whether it was real or fake eggs... She said that's how they whip them. The taste wasn't good either. Yuk!!!! And the vegetable filling was just grossssssss. Seriously who had thought that it would taste good and served it to the people!? Cleanliness.... Huh....The tables and menus weren't clean. Rather sticky. Gross to touch them. I will not be back, unfortunately....

Be cautious. The waffle was very good, but the rest of my table's food was bad. Do not order the turkey sausage. Additionally, the waiters are very dirty. All with stained clothes. Not appealing. Service is fast, but lacks common sense.

I really enjoy the chain of First Watch's for a nice breakfast or brunch on the weekend. The decor is simple and light and it's always welcoming. The servers are very friendly and can be accommodating. We choose this place also because it's kid friendly and we had a toddler with us. She was given a kids menu and crayons which was entertaining. When you order coffee, the table receives a full pot for unlimited refills which was great for us. I had the Benedict Florentine which was light and delicious. The pricing is good for the quality or portions.

The breakfasts are awesome. I really find the Eggs Benedict Dishes to be my favorite. Try the ham and egg Benedict with the ham steak in place of the thin sliced ham. There is no up charge, and you will fall in love!!

FOOD: Got the breakfast sampler- comes with toast, topped with scrambled eggs, ham, cheeeeeeese, spinach, and hollandaise sauce. It also has a side of cubed breakfast potato and a small serving of fruit. It was all pretty good, but nothing out of ordinary. It's basically a cleaner, healthier version of ihop. Potato was a little bland. PRICE: $8-12 SERVICE: You pay at the front. It's street parking but it's free on weekends! BOTTOM LINE: Better alternative to ihop~

This was only my second time ever coming, and it was a decent experience. I ordered the Belgium Waffle which was good, but it wasn't anything extraordinary. Our server forgot to provide us silverware, so it was inconvenient having to walk up to her and ask after a few minutes of waiting. Also, we were not told about the pancake of the month special which I might have ordered had my server explained the promotion. The price was pretty good for the Tri-fecta, but the coffee wasn't worth the price. I might come back.

Searching for a place to have brunch with my sister and brother in law visiting from New Hampshire and came across First Watch. Checked out reviews and seemed worth a shot since relatively close to her hotel. Located on a busy corner in Tampa you need to look for street parking or right behind the restaurant is public parking. Parking in the area ranges from $3 - $6 per hour so make sure you check out the prices. Upon entering the restaurant staff greeted you immediately and seated us. The restaurant is clean and has tables and booths in a very light and airy atmosphere. Okay so now on to the food. Coffee was great with carafe left on table which I love being able to refill whenever I need too and not have to wait for the waitress. They have regular or flavored creams available as well. So between the four of us we all ordered different items. The bacon and onion hash is made with potatoes, bacon and 2 types of cheese with 2 eggs any style on top. I had the Parma hash which has sausage, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and cheese with 2 eggs. Yummy. Both hash dishes come with an English muffin and small serving of fresh fruit. My sister had the bacado omelet which looked yummy. Food presentation was nice and service was good.

It's ok. A little high priced for breakfast. not much flavor. healthy menu options. Good coffee.

I was down town for jury duty (first time ever) and I forgot my wallet. I paid for parking with the parking app,but I had no caah in the car. I new I would be screwed for lunch, but on a whim I walked in to a few places and asked if they would take paypal. All the places either didn't know what PayPal was or just said "sorry" . However, the manager at First Watch said that he couldn't take Paypal, but lunch would be on him. I asked how I'd pay and he just said "Come back again sometime!" I already love First Watch, especially the Power Bowls. My wife likes the Trifecta. And I enjoy the fast, pleasant staff. But I am a small business owner and I'd like to think I know something about going above and beyond. And today First Watch cemented their reputation as an amazing place. Ps: I hope you guys go, just don't start pulling a fast one by mentioning PayPal! :-)

With the overwhelming selection of GREAT breakfast and brunch options downtown, I can't in good conscience rate them higher than three stars--though they ARE great for groups. They have a solid but uninspiring menu, a large but unexceptional dining room...overall, it's a restaurant you can leave satisfied but not wowed. I like most things on the menu well enough, and have settled into the market hash with a side of creamy pesto, but nothing jumps out at you with "YUM!" Especially not the coffee or the Eggs Benedict, which is tragically served with tomato instead of ham or bacon. Their best feature, to me, is their ability and willingness to accommodate large groups and their friendly service, and that's the reason we will probably be back--but with less than six people, you'll find me down the street.

Woke up this morning and thought to ourselves which is the best place to have breakfast in downtown Tampa? This was our stop and this IS the best place to have breakfast! The food selection is excellent, very healthy, and very well made. Our waiter Matt was awesome, very friendly and provided the best customer service. We will come back again and again. Thanks guys!

Sloooooow service. Waited to order and then waited 25 minutes for a salad. It seemed busy but manageable, ridiculous amount of time to wait for a salad for one person. Disappointed, couldn't even taste the salad since I had to inhale it to walk back in time from my jury duty lunch break.

FL has been around Tampa, for quite a few years. Though I prefer independents, I like the vibe and direction of FW. Some how me managed to snag a precious parking spot & beat the after church rush! WOW, winner, winner, chicken dinner! The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always helpful and friendly. My friend got a big Sunday breakfast with bacon, sausage, eggs, home fries and pancakes. I was a bit more restrained and went with a hot cereal and fresh fruit. Both meals were very good and we'll prepared. I love their coffee, and we enjoyed ending breakfast chatting over a second cup of coffee. By noe, people were waiting inine, yet the servers never rush you. For a chin, I enjoy first watch and their healthy to regular food offerings. What's a girl to do? Enjoy the bounty of food in front of you and lush over the food you see pacing you by or in this case accross the table

Good environment, great spot in downtown Tampa. Huuuuge pancakes, and other portions - god bless America. Friendly waitress that smiled when we were wasting her time, can't get any better than that. Gave us coffee to go. Now that's good service.

We love walking over to First Watch. It's a good brunch place that everyone can find something to they'd like to eat at. Every time I go I get something different and haven't been disappointed yet. The BLTE is our favorite.

Nice place! They welcomed us, and sat us quickly, in a comfy booth. Our server, Natalie, was awesome - bright smile, really lovely and helpful. Try the juice and the farmhouse skillet hash. So delicious! Would definitely recommend this place!

I give it terrible scores for customer service. My husband and I attempted to have lunch there this past Monday. We entered at around 12:15 pm. The hostess sat us down with menus and that was it. We waited and waited and waited sitting there with out menus and nothing else. People came in after is and were given water and their order was taken. We still sat there. We got up, walked out and no one said a word to us. We will NEVER go to this First Watch again. A few feet away we walked into Bamboozled and were treated to delicious food and friendly service.

Although this location is closest for me I rarely visit this location because it is located downtown so parking is always an issue. During the week you are competing with all of the downtown workers and on the weekends you're competing with the tourists staying in the hotels in the area. Being the impatient person I can be sometimes, this usually does not make for a fun time trying to find parking. Eventually I did luck up on a space and I entered the restaurant to a lobby of waiting guests. Fortunately despite the massive group, the wait time was minimal just 5-10 minutes. It was a true estimate and I was seated relatively quickly. Because I had been eyeing the menu while I waited, when my server came to the table I was already ready to order. The food was served hot within about 12-15 minutes. I ordered the Monte Cristo French Toast which is a sandwich. The french toast was filled with ham and turkey and dijon mustard on the bread. On the side the raspberry preserves were served as is the custom with Monte Cristo often times. I thought the sandwich was ok. It wasn't bad but wasnt amazing either. I did not like the addition of the dijon as it made it too tangy and I wanted a more sweet note as I was eating it for breakfast. I was full after eating half of the sandwich and the bowl of fruit which was my selected side. The other half of the sandwich I took home to eat later. My server was great. She was very responsive and friendly. At First watch you check out at the front and on a busy Sunday morning, that was no fun. I had to wait in line with people trying to check in and those trying to pay. Then the hostess ignored me to take all of the reservations before allowing me to pay my bill even though I had been waiting. I wish they had two people at the front, one to handle wait list and one to take payments. Overall though my experience was not bad, I just think I will go to the Henderson location instead because its much more calm at this location and parking is on site and accessible.

What a great find. This is clearly a local fave. If you go on a Sunday, get there Before church gets out! The staff is really friendly and accommodating. The kale juice is a healthy way to start the day. It tastes refreshing and sweet (mostly thanks to the apple and lemon). The lemon ricotta pancakes are light and filling, and the strawberries are a perfect topping. The chorizo omelette is flavorful without being too heavy, and it comes with a little salad that makes up for the fat. The hash is amazing (we had the Mediterranean hash but they all sounded good). And with free coffee while you wait to be seated? How can you not love that!?
(4)

Nothing was super special. I'm glad they had a healthy menu. It's kinda like ihop without as many pancakes. They also have quinoa. Service is kinda slow, but it's not bad.

Very tasty and well priced breakfast! Get here before 9:30 to avoid the brunch crowd. My Mom and I split the banana granola crunch pancakes and the chickichunga. The pancakes covered the entire plate and the granola added a perfect texture and crunch to the cakes. The chikichunga-half omlet and half chinichunga-was well seasoned and filled with chorizo, eggs, cheese and green chilis. It wasn't spicy but it was flavorful! The side potatos were also well seasoned. Lol we dove right into the dish that we forgot to snap a pic before we started eating!

I'm not a huge First Watch fan and will usually avoid the chain and choose a mom and pop diner every time but the day I visited this down town location I did not have a choice in the matter. Our waitress was very pleasant and actually pointed out something on the menu specials that appealed to me and others. So if you do find yourself in a FW for breakfast try the tacos while they are on the menu. BTW, If there was 3 and a half rating I would have used that but better than ok ...

Awesome service. Amazing food. Don't miss this place. The multigrain pancakes were the best I've ever had. And the girls shared a Kale tonic which they said tasted great.

Great food, good atmosphere and have always had great service. They do get busy but I would never trust a breakfast restaurant that wasn't. And they offer complimentary coffee while you wait which is awesome.

Really, really good ingredients. All natural, and very we'll executed. Our server was prompt, courteous, and engaged. I got the special - frittata with Kale. My parents got the triathlon - egg white omelet with salsa. Both beautifully played and terrifically prepared!

This place was PACKED but that shouldn't have been surprising in Downtown Tampa on a Friday afternoon. Service was decent given the volume of people there, but the runners and servers didn't seem to be communicating effectively. The food was scrumptious, as usual with First Watch, but i'm pretty sure the bacon wasn't freshly cooked -- probably just reheated.

I'm not a fan of breakfast but if any restaurant were to convert me, it would be First Watch. The one downtown has the best staff and service too. Always so friendly and accommodating. Even when you're waiting, fresh coffee is provided and sometimes served right to you to make your wait comfortable. There is an array of breakfast, lunch and healthy options. The Floridian French Toast and the breakfast burrito are my go-to breakfasts. For lunch, the pick 2 with grilled ham and cheese is an all-time favorite. Breakfast of champions right here.

SO good; whenever my parents visit, this is where we have breakfast. Sunday brunch? Why not First Watch? Incredible food, good prices, and you get a ton for your money!! Enjoy :)

This is my forth visit to a First Watch location. The waitstaff a little slow or I maybe I was pushed for time and was a little impatient. Nonetheless, I had to help myself to items that I asked the waiter for such as 'creamer' for the coffee and 'extra napkins'. The check-out was quick...:) This is the downtown location and parking can be dicey depending upon the time you visit.

The review is really for all locations I've been to. The first time I went here, I don't remember finding a vegetarian egg option for me. So I ordered the bacon/avocado omelette w/o bacon. (Which I hate doing as I'm paying for an item that I'm not getting) It was on the bland side. Eggs with sliced avocado placed inside. It wasn't "cooked" with the egg. I figured all the flavor must've been in the bacon. However, my boyfriend has said his eggs are usually not that flavorful either. It just seems the ingredients are being added on top the egg after it's cooked w/o any layering of flavor/seasonings/herbs. I do appreciate that they offer healthier options and have been ordering from that menu the last couple of times. Though I'm never really excited about the food as it's bland. But it's good in order fill your stomach and be healthy. If you don't want to be healthy than I suggest their pancakes-- this is where they do it good! They are so tasty. Yum.

I have to say their healthy turkey breakfast was good stuff. I was not entirely happy about my choice to eat healthy. I wanted pancakes and bacon dripping in butter and syrup. I dreamed of how it would feel to lather my face in the warm depths of some french toast covered in sugar. However, I decided to not eat like my inner fatty wanted. I was very pleased with their healthy breakfast option, as was my friend who also had a healthy omelette. So good job First Watch! You made me hate being healthy just a little.

Not a bad place to stop for breakfast if you're staying in the downtown area. It's a much better version of Denny's

Shenia J.
I really enjoy coming here with a group of gal pals. We usually come on a weekend after a morning run. They welcome us smelly runners. The service is always great and the food is always delicious. I love their French Toast. I get it almost every time. My only complaint is that the restaurant is small so there may be a bit of a wait. I almost forgot...parking is along the street, but on a weekend, barring no major events, you should easily find parking within a block or two.

Nicki's still stands as my favorite brunch spot in Tampa. First Watch is a breakfast chain trying too hard to be a homy diner. I have a soft spot for diners that make me feel like I'm in a home away from home, but this was like walking into your standard chain restaurant. I ordered the omelet which was a-ok, but nothing stellar or out of the box. I'd pass on going back here again.
(3)
Mariel F.
Long line but the food is good and fairly priced. I like this location better than the one on Henderson. The key west crepeggs were fantastic, the French toast not so much. This place is Definitely worth a try.

Who remembers when this spot was a McDonald's? Well the breakfast has gotten slightly better since Mickey D's moved out and First Watch moved in, but not by a whole lot. I say that because of the price factor. Breakfast is just one of those meals that should always be cheap. We all know eggs don't cost anything, so paying more than $10 a head (including drink) is insane. Because of the cost and long waits to be seated, I've never really been a hardcore FW fan, yet always seem to end up at one from time to time. I find the food to be very fresh (I will give them that), but a little bland. I do like that they offer up a lot of fruit-based breakfast options, but for the price, it would just be cheaper to hit the local produce stand and make your own. And can we stop charging $3 for a glass of orange juice in the state of Florida? We live in the highest orange-producing state in America, yet these breakfast places charge the price of liquid gold for the stuff. I wonder if First Watch supports local farmers and uses Florida orange juice. Anywho, when I end up here, I usually default to the Scrambler when eating here. It's pretty good stuff. All-in-all, this is just a 2-star eatery for me. Fresh, but bland food for a high price.

5 Stars w/o a doubt! It was one of the best breakfast's I have ever had. The waffle's with the almond butter are to die for!

Just had brunch here.. Ordered the fresh fruit crepes and they were subpar at most. We also had the traditional breakfast with some soggy toast along with undercooked potatoes. Overall the place was nothing special and I probably wouldn't come back.

Don't know why I haven't been here before!!! Breakfast is great, with good healthy options. I had the Healthy Turkey all whites with Turkey, tomato, spinach, I order mine without cheese and it was still tasty and you can also substitute the english muffin. One of my friends had the pancakes and the other the French toast with no complains. It can get busy but service was good and everything came out within a reasonable time. Looking forward to having lunch here soon. I wish there more bike rack around this street to make it more convenient to locals.

Best breakfast/lunch diner in Tampa, hands down. It has definitely taken diner food up a couple notches in quality. The ambiance is so warm and classic diner and the prices are reasonable. I am definitely a regular as it is my favorite Saturday morning traditions, I do love their blueberry pancakes! I can't wait to try everything on the menu.

One word - Chickichanga! Best breakfast item I've had in a long time. Prompt, friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely return next time I'm in Tampa.

My first review in well over a year and it's one that is super special because it concerns breakfast I had with my very best friend, Andy! He's been working across the country and we haven't seen each other in 18mos, so this review means alot. First Watch is impecably clean, that I noticed right away. And THAT is huge, in my book. The place was fairly humming with the sounds of families and couples and singles all happily doing their own things. I like that vibe; not too loud, like Frog Pond, but still "lived in". It's airy and light and not too crowded with tables. Just right. We were seated right away by our friendly server, who touted the special so well, I ordered it: Pumpkin pancakes with apple-maple chicken sausage and 2 eggs. She brought coffee, which is sold by the pound there by the way, quickly and took our orders with grace and ease. I was instantly comfy! The Pumpkin pancake was large, covering half the platter, and moist and flavorful. The eggs, I ordered scrambled, came out fluffy and cooked perfectly. It can be challenging to get eggs right; I see them, especially scrambled, over cooked all the time. But these were spot on. The apple-maple chicken sausage was "interesting". It was good, but a little chewy, I thought. I ate about half and called it off. It just wasn't doing anything for me... Andy's Poached eggs were lovely! His fruit was fresh and cut into nice bite-sized pieces, which I really appreciate. How frustrating is it to have a bowl of fruit "chunks" placed in front of you! You've got to cut and re-prepare the whole deal! No, no, no. Fruit, as well as salad, should be served "ready to eat"! You should NEVER have to CUT it into bite sized pieces! But I digress....!!! The oatmeal was piping hot, and not too mushy, or under cooked: Oatmeal can be as tricky as eggs, my friends! The coffee was bangin. Heck, I'll go back anytime for the coffee alone. We visited, without too much interruption - which there IS an art to, you know? Enjoyed our meal and more coffee and hit the road! I wish I had more to report. I wish Andy had held up his end of the deal and ordered SOMETHING, ANYTHING, more interesting than stupid POACHED EGGS! But I suppose to err on the side of good health IS acceptable, and to be honest, I was a little stoked to see just how well prepared those poaced eggs were gonna come out lol! The chef done good! I'm slowly working my way back into the "food and bev" gig, y'all. I just KNOW my next review will be much more exciting and full of description regarding something remarkable and daring lol! Until then, I offer First Watch 4 stars for a delish meal, and comfy and comfortable digs for a much anticipated visit with my best friend, Andy.

I had the Trifecta- belgian waffle, 2 eggs, and bacon. The belgian waffle was light and airy (just as advertised), only negative is that they serve it with butter instead of whipped cream. The ambiance is very casual (pretty sure I saw at least one hawaiian shirt) and typical of what I would imagine a breakfast place to look like in the senior's living mecca that is FL. FYI the waiter was really nice.

Have eaten several times here and other locations of this chain breakfast shop. This downtown location often has waiting lines that confirm its popularity and quality. Big business on Sunday mornings with the church people before & after services. Perfect atmosphere for breakfast, clean, spacious, well-lighted and a busy feeling. Breakfast offerings are all the standards, with an emphasis on some healthier options.....more fruit & whole grains.....but you can also drench yourself in fat/cholesterol from fried side meats, eggs, butter, cream, etc., knowing you are close to the Tampa General Cardiac Care unit.....or Sacred Heart Church is only 2 blocks away for a classy requiem. However I recommend the whole grain pancakes with low-fat, low-sugar toppings so you can walk away with a glow of gastronomic virtue.

This is a typical First Watch -- a breakfast/lunch chain restaurant. The food is nice, and the prices are slightly above average. A lot of the the menu choices offer lighter and healthier options. I prefer First Watch for lunch as opposed to breakfast, but either way the food will meet your expectations.

Went here on Easter Sunday for Brunch. It immediately reminds me of a nicer IHOP/Dennys (but not much nicer). I ordered the Eggs Benedict with Ham and Tomato and my husband ordered the Breakfast Scrambler (eggs, spinach, ham) over toast with hollandaise sauce. Both orders came with potatoes and a cup of fruit. Overall, the food was good but it wasnt great. It was fine, but not exceptional. I also ordered hot chocolate, which was good. It came with lots of whipped cream, but it tasted like it came from a packet. The portion sizes are big. I couldnt finish all of my food and took some home. The prices are reasonable. We paid $20 for the 2 of us. I wouldnt rush back here anytime soon but I guess if Im in the mood for some breakfast I may come here again.

3 1/2 stars. Ate at this place after reading the reviews, which were pretty accurate. A lot of healthy options, food is good, nothing phenomenal. I had the oatmeal, fruit, and blueberry pancake. All were good. I really enjoyed the little blueberry sauce on the side of the pancake.

This morning we were treated to being ignored for 14 minutes before anyone came to take down my table's drink order, and it didn't seem to be particularly busy (no wait) -- this is unacceptable. The one near USF is much better; avoid the downtown location. Gave back a star bc the manager reached out to me and seemed genuinely upset this happened. Based on the other First Watch locations I've been at I'm inclined to give benefit of the doubt.
(2)
Val M.
It was OK. If this is best of Tampa, then they are lacking in food choices. Just your typical chain breakfast joint, not unlike IHOP, Denny's. Don't expect much more. Probably won't return. Had to send the coffee back, only warm. Had to ask for silverware, no water glass offered or juice, really?
(3)
Jon L.
The Good News is there is plenty of seating available on the weekdays, and the place was very clean! The breakfast (Eggs Benedict) was well prepared as were the poached eggs. I think about 8.99 plus the coffee and juice. The Bad News was adding on a pancake cost another 5.00 yet I wasn't informed until I saw the check. Seriously the service was good but the food does not justify the price of 15 bucks for one person for breakfast.....at the Hilton breakfast buffet I can understand it. Jon Lemasters

Not impressed. Been to other First Watch restaurants before and expected more. Service was fine, but the food was mediocre. Sent the bacon back because it was overcooked and dry. The one (yes, just one) sausage they sent in its place was fine. The waffle was rigid and dry and the eggs I ordered 'over-medium' were delivered almost completely cooked through. Maybe the signature dishes are better but they shouldn't be screwing up the basics. I walked past a woman outside at a cafe next door (Jamaica Cafe?) eating a huge omelette that looked well prepared. Shoulda ate there.

This is a very nice place in downtown for breakfast! I have been there a couple times and I like it. If you go there late on Sunday's you'll probably have to wait a little. But the food is great. I always have the omelets and they are really good. This is a good place to go with the family...

Was looking for breakfast and found a string of spots downtown. This place stood out due to their menu and was the last we had looked at of the three to four places to eat in a row. This place looks as though it is a cheap diner somewhat like an old school Denny's, but do not let that turn you away. I feel as though many people have yet to try it. It was not busy and the food is really good. A great twist on our traditional breakfast choices. A must go!

Just returned from a long weekend in Tampa. It was our first experience with First Watch. Enjoyed it so much that we continued to eat breakfast there for the remainder of our stay. Wait staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. Breakfast chimichanga was amazing, oj was fresh, potatoes delish!

Stopped here on recommendation from the Hotel Tampa as we were looking for a good place for breakfast. We were greeted as we walked in, and seated immediately. The staff is friendly and helpful, and there are a ton of great sounding options, and the first place I have been to that serve healthy options. While writing this review our food came out. Quick service!!!

We really liked the breakfast here. It wasn't filled with your typical greasy food. They had their share of it (and we tried it and it was good) but also had healthy stuff which I never see for breakfast, it was very good. Everything was very flavorful the wait staff was very nice. We will def come back next year when we come back to the area

I really did enjoy my meal here and the atmosphere is great. A pot of coffee and a pitcher of water? Hell yea. I think I should have probably gotten a different type of pancake because the bacon and cheddar just wasn't doin' it for me. Other than that, I loved the experience, especially its location in Tampa.

Great breakfast! Clean & simple decor. Baby changing tables in both restrooms.

The only place I'll eat breakfast out, other than an upscale hotel restaurant. With First Watch around, it's beyond me why anyone would go to places like Denny's.

I've been to this location and the one by University Mall. This one is definitely better in my opinion. This is where I go whenever I want breakfast for lunch in downtown. I also like that it has some healthier choices on the menu than most of the downtown lunch places. I usually either get an omelet or their 1/2 sandwich and soup combos, which are a good deal for lunch. Service has never been bad.

Another good breakfast spot. Very "Florida Casual" atmosphere. The food isn't anything spectacular, but I like that lots of healthy options are available: yogurt and fruit, oatmeal, egg white omlettes. When I am not watching my calories the blueberry pancakes are awesome!

They've got everything you could want out of breakfast food.. service was great and portions were generous. Try the banana crunch pancakes, they were crunchy and melty all at the same time. Their sweet tea wasn't too sweet - in fact, it was just right. Service was pretty speedy considering how packed the place was.

First time at this Downtown Tampa restaurant, and quite impressed with their service. Ordered two banana nut pancakes on a weekday brunch. Had no idea they would be so big and filling, keeping me sated until late evening. The kind attentive waitress brought a cup of coffee right away, plus a metal container with hot coffee. Had never seen this before, letting me reload my cup whenever I wanted. The pancakes were brought to my table by a kind waiter. Upon leaving, another waiter holds the door open for me and wishes me a good day. They get a medal for above-and-beyond customer service. I can see why it's a popular place with downtown office workers.

The only reason this review isn't five stars is because I'm mad at my girlfriend for making me look up restaurants on Yelp!

Decent lunch spot with low prices and friendly service. I had the Beefeater sandwich which came with a large spread of small potato chunks, fruit, and salad. All were good and the tally came in below $10. Service was friendly and helpful.

Great little breakfast place in the middle of everything in Tampa. Went on a Sunday, so parking was not a problem at all. It was packed when we got there. The food is good, but not great as expected. It is a chain restaurant so you don't get the mom-pop type of feel to it. The breakfast is quite healthy and it tastes alright. Like eggs and bread should. I liked and kind of did not like how healthy it was. The homefries were good, but so dry (lack of grease) that difficult to swallow. Got some bougie sounding omelet with spinach and artichoke, it was ok. The pancakes are good and huge!! I mean huge! If you are having dessert or cannot eat a lot, just order one. We made the mistake of ordering two and it just sat there. I would go again to this place as breakfast is alright and the location is great.

Good heathy food at a good price. Fast prompt service. Clean. Good family atmosphere. Great place for breakfast.

Good food, great prices, quick service. But their "thick slab bacon" is not thick. In fact it's paper thin. The seasonal special pumpkin pancakes are delicious (so says my roomate -- i personally hate pumpkin). If you're going on a Sunday get there early otherwise you'll be waiting in line.

Good quality breakfasts that are fairly nutritious. The service is decent and it is not a bad place to go on weekend morning.

I can't believe how many people recommended this place to me for brunch in Tampa. When I want to go to brunch I expect delicious bloody marys and a cool, hip atmosphere. First watch looks like a mid 90's hotel serving a free continental breakfast. The decor is awful. The food was average..I had an omelet and my fiance had a fruit crepe that was pretty good. The coffee was ehhh...and they only had those packaged creamers. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to come back so that I could ask for real milk. I dunno...maybe I've been living in NYC and SF for too long but this place was a huge a disappointment. I can see why this would be a neighborhood "favorite" for breakfast, but it is not a BRUNCH place.

Lainey C.
Their menu descriptions are great but the dishes brought to the table are often a let down. An omelet with cheese may have a few, very few, pieces of shredded cheese. Happy hunting. Their highly touted side dish of potatoes are dried little squares of nothing very special. I've been let down too often to ever go back to First Watch.

4 stars for the blueberry pancake. 2-3 stars for the rest of the food (wraps, coffee, breakfast potatoes, and the mushroom omelet) oh and 0 stars for not being open all day :(

Nothing here really wow's me and I really dont get the hype but it is decent. Its healthy portions so they tend to be small but the quality is good and the service is better. I personally stop in the mornings on the way into work to tear up their oatmeal. Its kind of like the starbucks version of it so its pretty damn good =p

Caught a late breakfast and ordered the Breakfast Scramble, which is what caught my eye when I browsed the menu online. It was amazing. I definitely look forward to eating here when I'm in town again. It's primarily a breakfast, brunch, and lunch establishment, so it closes at 2:30pm. That worked out fine for us, though. After a long night, it was nice to catch a great breakfast around noon. The place was very clean and inviting, and the staff was friendly.

Pretty good! Came here 3 times for breakfast while in Tampa for a conference. Quick service, good selection on the menu, standard breakfast food. Nothing terribly special, but a solidly good breakfast/brunch option in the downtown area.

This breakfast was good! What really suprised me about this place was how not-greasy the food is. It was all fresh and just simple and good, the way breakfast should be. I was in town visiting a friend and she took me here for breakfast. I can't complain. Now, about the coffee. It was great and I always judge a place on their coffee. What I really liked about this place, however, was the decor. It wasn't at all like a grimy diner. Cool orange and other bright tones realy livened up the place and this made you feel more awake then asleep like some dark diners will do. The service was friendly and over all it was a good experience. The best part--the prices! My food with coffe was under $10 and since I'm from Miami my pricing scale might be different, but that still seems very reasonable. What a way to start the morning. They need to open one of these in Miami.

The coffee was bitter the chef must have a off day it was not worth my walk from my hotel I had the eggs benidict salty

First time at this restaurant. Friendly service. Big pancake serving. Other than that, bacon and eggs look pretty much average. Would try their other stuff and best sellers next time.

First Watch is open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. They have a great menu selection ...with several healthy choices. I would highly recommend their eggs benedict florentine (with fresh spinach, avocado, and tomato) and their fresh fruit crepes (crepes wrapped around fresh fruit, topped with organic strawberry yogurt and granola..served with a muffin on the side).....both are sooo good! During the weekend, there may be a wait yet we seem to have always been seated rather quickly. The service is always friendly and prompt. A great place for breakfast or brunch!

We have enjoyed so much going to First Watch in downtown Tampa. So far, all of the food we have had has been great. I really enjoy their traditional breakfast, their scramblers, and the bacado is awesome! I love that the food is homemade, fresh and not fried! Though I have not had them, I have heard their blueberry pancakes are divine! It drove my step-dad to go back the very next day for more! Their portion sizes are just right, so I don't feel bad about cleaning my plate! I love that they have muffins and fruit as a side to some of their dishes! Great variety and unique menu items! Each time I go for brunch on a weekend, the place is packed! The prices are very reasonable and the staff is very friendly!

Healthy, tasty fare. The salads (mine was the cobb) were fresh and delicious. The french toast and the white egg omlet ordered by others were very attractively presented, and they raved about the taste. Service was prompt, attentive, and very friendly. Pricing was about normal for a downtown lunch, but well worth the price for the freshenss and feeling that I was eating healthy (okay, maybe not so much with the bacon and blue cheese, but it was delicious).

Great breakfast at reasonable prices. I like how they have complimentary coffe for while you wait. They have a 30 minute wait on Sundays because of the church down the street. I always get their eggs benedict. Most of their menu items are original and fairly healthy. I agree with one of the other reviews, the food is NEVER greasy. Not sure why. My wife and I like to go on Saturday mornings to avoid the church crowds.

Cold eggs. yuk. We ate here twice during our stay because of the healthier options and because it was close to our hotel. Both Sat and Sun morning there was a wait- which to me, means a place is good. The food was slow to arrive, our orders (for a table of 3!) did not come out all at once, and both times my food was cold!

(2)Tim C.
Be cautious. The waffle was very good, but the rest of my table's food was bad. Do not order the turkey sausage. Additionally, the waiters are very dirty. All with stained clothes. Not appealing. Service is fast, but lacks common sense.
(2)Jen K.
(4)Peter D.
The breakfasts are awesome. I really find the Eggs Benedict Dishes to be my favorite. Try the ham and egg Benedict with the ham steak in place of the thin sliced ham. There is no up charge, and you will fall in love!!
(4)Caroline K.
(3)Elizabeth G.

(5)Chelsea B.
(3)Vincent R.
(5)Laura A.

(4)Dorothy L.
Good environment, great spot in downtown Tampa. Huuuuge pancakes, and other portions - god bless America. Friendly waitress that smiled when we were wasting her time, can't get any better than that. Gave us coffee to go. Now that's good service.
(4)Roshni S.
We love walking over to First Watch. It's a good brunch place that everyone can find something to they'd like to eat at. Every time I go I get something different and haven't been disappointed yet. The BLTE is our favorite.
(4)Lyssett M.
Nice place! They welcomed us, and sat us quickly, in a comfy booth. Our server, Natalie, was awesome - bright smile, really lovely and helpful. Try the juice and the farmhouse skillet hash. So delicious! Would definitely recommend this place!
(5)Liz C.
Delicious food! Quick service! Definitely fresh food with different choices then the regular breakfast diner!
(5)Liz L.
(1)Mailoha A.
What I ordered: 2 slices of french toast, home fries and 2 eggs over medium. Good service, good food, and price was.....well I couldn't tell you about because I didn't pay :)
(3)Tia S.
(3)Jaclyne M.
Amazing!!! Service was great and food even better. If your in the area you most stop in and try the food breakfast is exceptional!!!
(5)Erica S.
(4)Nikki S.
Nothing was super special. I'm glad they had a healthy menu. It's kinda like ihop without as many pancakes. They also have quinoa. Service is kinda slow, but it's not bad.
(3)Chelsea W.
(5)Dylan G.
First watch has been a great breakfast location for us. The food is always tasty, good portions and well priced!
(4)Daryl H.
Was looking for a good breakfast in downtown Tampa and found this Great healthy breakfast spot. Egg white omelet and fresh juice. Good prices.
(5)R R.
Excellent value, outstanding service, healthy and delicious. Nice walk from the downtown Hilton and quick prep time. Menu is varied. I highly recommend the quinoa bowl for its wonderful flavor profiles and great start to a day.
(5)Aimee C.
Came for Mothers Day and everything we had was UH-MAY-ZING! WELL worth the wait! Look forward to coming here again :)
(5)Johnny C.
(4)Jao O.
Awesome service. Amazing food. Don't miss this place. The multigrain pancakes were the best I've ever had. And the girls shared a Kale tonic which they said tasted great.
(5)Tracy O.
Great food, good atmosphere and have always had great service. They do get busy but I would never trust a breakfast restaurant that wasn't. And they offer complimentary coffee while you wait which is awesome.
(4)Chad H.
Really, really good ingredients. All natural, and very we'll executed. Our server was prompt, courteous, and engaged. I got the special - frittata with Kale. My parents got the triathlon - egg white omelet with salsa. Both beautifully played and terrifically prepared!
(5)Jude B.
Must say they really have corrected the glassware issue and the food is fresh and fast. Lots of specials this fall! Looks good
(4)Gary G.
Great breakfast, menu covers a good variety of options. Did not try lunch but was very pleased with breakfast. Will definitely go back there again!
(4)Dylan B.
Disappointing. Food was Luke warm. Breakfast potatoes looked like they just came out of a bag. We complained and they would not do anything. Fresh juice also seemed pre packaged.
(1)Jared H.
I mean seriously....you can not go wrong with first watch. Healthy, great tasting food with good service.
(5)Kate T.
(4)Genie C.
Great breakfast spot. I had the triathlete, amazing! My husband had the blueberry pancakes, he was not a fan. He said they were a little bland. Service was great.
(4)El J.
I consider this the "fast food" of wanna be healthy breakfast spots. If your looking for a rubber omelet that may have been microwaved..you picked the spot.
(1)M. M.
Nothing wrong with the food, it was acceptable. The service was lacking, waited for refills way too long.
(2)Amy D.
(5)Allegra M.
SO good; whenever my parents visit, this is where we have breakfast. Sunday brunch? Why not First Watch? Incredible food, good prices, and you get a ton for your money!! Enjoy :)
(5)Bonita B.
(4)H L.
Yum.
(3)Carmen A.
Excellent little restaurant with AMAZING food!! The service is terrific. Totally recommend this place!
(5)Hillary V.
(4)Kendall M.
So yummy! If you want a good place to go for a fresh and healthy breakfast or lunch I would definitely recommend here!
(5)Andrew Z.
Not a bad place to stop for breakfast if you're staying in the downtown area. It's a much better version of Denny's
(4)Shenia J.
(4)Kelsey L.
(3)Mariel F.
Long line but the food is good and fairly priced. I like this location better than the one on Henderson. The key west crepeggs were fantastic, the French toast not so much. This place is Definitely worth a try.
(4)Mark H.
(2)Cori H.
5 Stars w/o a doubt! It was one of the best breakfast's I have ever had. The waffle's with the almond butter are to die for!
(5)Frankie A.
Just had brunch here.. Ordered the fresh fruit crepes and they were subpar at most. We also had the traditional breakfast with some soggy toast along with undercooked potatoes. Overall the place was nothing special and I probably wouldn't come back.
(2)Martic R.

(2)Mariana R.
This is a very nice place in downtown for breakfast! I have been there a couple times and I like it. If you go there late on Sunday's you'll probably have to wait a little. But the food is great. I always have the omelets and they are really good. This is a good place to go with the family...
(4)Dominic S.

(5)Jerod M.
(5)Bryan D.
(4)Max G.
(4)Rae Ann C.
Great breakfast! Clean & simple decor. Baby changing tables in both restrooms.
(4)David J.
The only place I'll eat breakfast out, other than an upscale hotel restaurant. With First Watch around, it's beyond me why anyone would go to places like Denny's.
(4)Susan M.
(3)Michelle M.
Another good breakfast spot. Very "Florida Casual" atmosphere. The food isn't anything spectacular, but I like that lots of healthy options are available: yogurt and fruit, oatmeal, egg white omlettes. When I am not watching my calories the blueberry pancakes are awesome!
(3)Gordon C.
They've got everything you could want out of breakfast food.. service was great and portions were generous. Try the banana crunch pancakes, they were crunchy and melty all at the same time. Their sweet tea wasn't too sweet - in fact, it was just right. Service was pretty speedy considering how packed the place was.
(4)Francisco G.

(4)Team F.

(3)Jeremy W.
Good heathy food at a good price. Fast prompt service. Clean. Good family atmosphere. Great place for breakfast.
(5)Casey J.
(3)Kipp C.
Good quality breakfasts that are fairly nutritious. The service is decent and it is not a bad place to go on weekend morning.
(4)Katie S.
(2)Lainey C.
(2)Farida A.
4 stars for the blueberry pancake. 2-3 stars for the rest of the food (wraps, coffee, breakfast potatoes, and the mushroom omelet) oh and 0 stars for not being open all day :(
(3)Occy V.
(3)John B.
(4)Afton C.
Pretty good! Came here 3 times for breakfast while in Tampa for a conference. Quick service, good selection on the menu, standard breakfast food. Nothing terribly special, but a solidly good breakfast/brunch option in the downtown area.
(4)Gina B.
(4)Linda C.
The coffee was bitter the chef must have a off day it was not worth my walk from my hotel I had the eggs benidict salty
(2)S P.
First time at this restaurant. Friendly service. Big pancake serving. Other than that, bacon and eggs look pretty much average. Would try their other stuff and best sellers next time.
(3)Diana L.
(4)Amy R.
(4)M S.
(4)Chuck W.
(4)Tanya B.
Cold eggs. yuk. We ate here twice during our stay because of the healthier options and because it was close to our hotel. Both Sat and Sun morning there was a wait- which to me, means a place is good. The food was slow to arrive, our orders (for a table of 3!) did not come out all at once, and both times my food was cold!
