Continuing with the East Coast Restaurant Chain Tour, my next stop was the Checkers chain. These theme would NEVER EVER fly on the west coast/CALI. Checkers is a shot out to the southern tradition of Nascar. Nascar is White Trash. Checkers is White Trash. Their logo is a finish line. The food however, unlike a Nascar race, was more interesting than watching cars make left turns all day. Take a look at the chicken sandwich I had: checkers.com/checkers_ch… The chicken was actually about that thick! It was spicy like a kick from a mule in the face. Water was called for. I had the fries and let me tell you, they were the right combination of seasoned, crispy, salty and pepper that most people think. checkers.com/checkers_fr… Doesn't that make you hungry? Me too. I'm glad this place doesn't exist in the California world, because we would have more Nascar fans and 10 lbs extra on all the pretty CA girls. All right on the ass. Not a good thing. Unless you're into that type of thing. Then head to the Deep South.
