Typically, I'm not one for chain restaurants but my family was craving something nearby that was easy. It's been a couple of years and I was definitely impressed. Our server was attentive, friendly and set expectations high from the get-go. Whether the script was canned or not, it worked and we felt welcomed and was pleasantly surprised by the variety in the menu. Even for someone like myself who is not a fan of Italian found myself struggling to decide what to eat. I ordered a pizza and was far from disappointed - the food was fresh and perfectly portioned. So much so that I indulged in dessert. The apple pie dessert was incredible and our server overheard us wishing for an extra scoop of vanilla gelato and the manager swung by and surprised us.

I'm really digging this new Fresh Summer menu they have going on over here. I thought this was an ole folks steak and potatoes chain and had a lot of trouble finding anything even slightly exciting to order at all. While it's still impossible for me to come here and say I'm going to have the best, most exciting experimental and innovative meal I've ever had, the service has been kind, and it's a great place to meet friends with non-adventurous taste buds. Shrimp in cartoccio? Not mind blowing, but simply well done, and most importantly fresh. I really can't imagine any Italian running their test kitchen, but at least these new offerings show that they still have even the slightest pulse.

Carrabba's is a chain, but certainly one of the better national Italian chain restaurants. Carrabba's specializes in wood-grilled meats to go with their pasta dishes, so you can always find grilled chicken and shrimp to add on top of a bowl of pasta. Tonight I had one of my favorites from their Signature Pasta menu, which are served with your choice of home-made soup or fresh salad. Tonight's pasta bowl was the Pasta Sostanza, which was whole wheat Tagliarini pasta sauteed with mushrooms, artichoke hearts and spinach in tomato basil sauce topped with seasoned breadcrumbs and grilled chicken. Toss in a salad, and an iced tea, and I was out the door for about $15. You'll find this Carrabba's on Sheldon Road, north of Linebaugh and close to Citrus Park. There's an Outback Steakhouse next door, and the Mellow Mushroom pizza place is across the street.

Food was good, salad was a little cold (had a piece of ice in it), sangria was amazing. The best part, our server Delila who was on point, getting everything in a timely manner, making sure everything was taken cares of, including the ice on the salad, lol. That girl knew what dishes to recommend and what wine to pair it with, she bagged our items and explained how to behind every dish. Management material in the near future, name on the door!
Food was awsome. Server was on top of every thing, and took care of order. Only reason to give 3 star was the portion of wine serving. Wine glass was not even 1/4 full for $7.99.

Carrabbas has been a family favorite of ours for a while. The Chicken Bryan is very delicious. We had an amazing server who never let our glasses sit empty. I will definitely become a regular at this location.

I haven't been back to Carrabbas for sometime. Even though the food was delicious, we stopped going after reviewing the calorie count for some of our favorite dishes. Well we returned the other nite and enjoyed a delicious meal. What brought us back was a $12 special. It included a. 6 oz sirloin steak , cheese and lobster stuffed ravioli and an additional side. Of course the soup or salad was included. Their warm bread is great. Paired this with their house red blend of a merlot & chianti. Happy hour ends at 7 pm. Quartino for the price of a glass. Great meal with outstanding service and out the door price that doesn't break the bank! Since I'm not counting calories anymore, I'll definitely return.

Been at this location two times now and had good experience here. This location is a test store (and one in Lutz) for new menu items/changes since corporate is near Intl Plaza so you would find different items on here compared to other locations. This visit we had a server named Evelyn who was professional, refilled our drinks and checked up on us occasionally as well. My dinner was basic with the fettuccine Alfredo with a chicken spicy soup. I would recommend this location to anyone and since its a test store to see anything different from other locations.

Since I moved to Tampa in 2006 this has been. Restaurant I absolutely loved to go to for Italian food. Everything on their menu is amazing. They would get a 5 star if they weren't so cheap with the herbs. Aside from that absolutely amazing food!

Very good service. Love their free bread! The new prosciutto woodfired grill pizza was great..could have used a little bit more prosciutto. Dessert was just OK. We had Tiramisu. It had too much Marscapone

This location renewed my faith in Carrabba's! I would not have considered myself a Carrabba's fan previous to this experience, however, with an over 5 star experience on this visit, I want to frequent the place!! My friend and I arrived with our infants on a busy Saturday night a little before 7. The wait was only 5-10 minutes though and we were seated in a timely fashion! We ordered, and because we had children, they made sure everything came out FAST! The salads were out in 2 min.. My wine before that! The kids meal was just behind the salads, and I swear we got our meals in less than 10 minutes!! On top of that, everything was hot and tasty. My chicken Bryan was so delicious and they brought out extra mashed potatoes for my son without me asking. Also, the very friendly manager came to check on us halfway through as well! Thank you carrabba's! We will be back!

I haven't really been here much in the last few years just because I've been spending my hungry times trying new places with La Chica, but make no mistake, Carrabba's is hands down one of my favorite places to get STUFFED. At this location alone, I've probably grubbed down 20 or 30 times, and I've never had a bad experience in regards to service or food. Carrabba's is probably the second most consistent restaurant in the world next to McDonald's. If I order the chicken parm on Dale Mabry, it's going to taste exactly like the chicken parm on Sheldon Road, and that's why I say that. This past Sunday, we had a noon brunch reservation across the street. At 12:50, they told us we still had one group ahead of us. So we told them, "Thanks for the complimentary mimosas" and bounced over to Carrabba's. I like to try the specials because it's like being their lab rat. It's like they're testing new food on you, and if the response is good, they will add it to the menu. So I tried the Champagne Pasta, which was linguine tossed in a white, creamy champagne sauce with roasted peppers, chicken and mushroom--really good. We stuffed our faces with appetizers and salad first, so I couldn't finish it. It was for the best though, because it was even better later. Pasta Carrabba and the chicken parm still remain my two favorite dishes though. Oh, and they recently remodeled and it looks really good. All the old school photos of unknown Italians are gone and have been replaced with other types of art and bottles of wine.

Ugh! Being a lover of the Outback Restaurants, I hate writing this update. The past few times we've visited this Carrabba's the service has been pretty spotty. It appears they are understaffed or don't anticipate the amount of patrons because the servers have multiple stations located around the restaurant and the food comes out to the table sporadically. For instance, tonight the table next to us got their entree before the appetizer....

Called for call ahead seating since I was coming with an infant. I was told the wait was 30 minutes. When I showed up the host said it would be another 40 I asked why and he said the call ahead seating starts when you arrive.... Huhhhh? We left and I called back to talk to a manager who clarified that the host clearly did not have a good understanding of the policy and we shouldn't have had to wait. He seemed disinterested with my concern. I told him my review would reflect his lack of interest and he said ok... Huhhh?

We went there for Mother's Day and the service was great. We got seated as soon as we got there, which was impressive seeing how busy they were. The server was really friendly and just provided excellent service. So why 3 stars? The food wasn't all that great. I ordered the mahi mahi with mashed potatoes. The sauce that came on the fish was a bit overpowering to me. The mashed pirates were ok, nothing special. I had desert, ordered the teramisu and it was just really strong in taste. I can honestly say I've had better Italian food. All I really enjoyed really was the service! They would get a 5 star for their service but the food was mediocre.

Seated within 5 minutes of arriving on a Friday night. Server was "ok".Menu has been drastically changed. Items shown on the on line menu were no where to be found on the restaurant menu. They had very limited desserts. Maybe four items to choose from. No more Tiramasu, or Rosa cake dessert. Very Very disappointed. Took my friend there for her birthday dinner because she loves their Tiramasu and Trio chicken dinner which no longer consists of the same chicken . They did however make that for her. Server was asked to have dessert delivered for the birthday girl with a candle song etc.....that also did not happen. Very disappointed and not eager to go back. The various people that delivered the food, salads, etc. were very nice and professional was the only plus of our whole meal.

We went on a Friday night and sat right down. The waitress was extremely pleasant and friendly; even another waitress who brought our food out was just as pleasant. My family ate at this Carrabba's while celebrating my niece's graduation from USF. We had an "AMAZING" server, Fallon. She and Chris made a great team for our large party. A big shout out to the chefs as well. Everything was delicious. Our group is a bit crazy. Fallon has a great personality and was quick with fun loving banter. I will not soon forget my experience at this restaurant and even though we told the management how pleased we were, I hope Fallon is rewarded beyond our monetary tip. Thanks again Fallon!

It's a chain. But it's one of the better chains. However, that's probably not saying a whole lot. Drink specials at the bar- two for one well drinks and wine. The food is average. We were trying to eat somewhat healthy (avoiding pasta) and so we each went with chicken dishes. The appetizer salads were the highlight of the meal. Great dressing and fresh gourmet lettuce on the Italian salad. My grilled chicken was very juicy but totally over-seasoned. The broccoli was also over-seasoned with salt and spices and had it had that strange 'packaged' veggie taste to it. The garlic mashed potatoes were gluey. But, I have to say, the service was excellent. We asked for the Champagne Chicken sauce on the side, but when it came out, it was drowning in sauce. The waitress immediately offered to re-do the meal. We didn't want to wait (it was pretty busy) and said we'd be fine scraping the sauce off the chicken. She comped the meal and gave us a free dessert without another word. I think that was more than fair, considering. I'd go back to try the pasta or for that Italian salad, but I'm not in a hurry.

I am a big fan of Italian and this is just about as good as it gets when you are trying to find a place that is close to homemade!. The service is always good and friendly and their website makes takeout just as easy as eating in (just without the Quartino of wine). Their signature dish the Chicken Bryan is just about as good as it gets (love goats cheese). The great thing is that you can go old school and get things like the lasagna or spaghetti and meatballs and feel like your are getting the best. With Wine down Wednesdays and great things like two for one happy hour its a great place to come to after work and with locations all over you can't go wrong.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Disappointed... Came here for Father's Day. There was no wait which was nice but other then that not a whole lot of positive. They were out of high chairs, so we had to hold our baby while eating, which is fine, just kind of makes the dining experience not as nice. They said they would bring a high chair when available, but one was never brought. Our martinis needed to be fixed because they were made incorrectly. The happy hour price was good though. The server never told us her name, nor ever asked how our entrées were. My husband ordered a rare larger sirloin with the gorgonzola.. it came out overcooked and with the marsala on it. I ordered alfredo carraba with no mushrooms and no peas.... it had peas on it. Oh well. No manager ever came by.
