Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Best pizza in Tampa. New York or Chicago style. Had pizza all over yet to find better anywhere else. One of my favorite places in town!

I read all the reviews. The good ones and the bad ones. No, this is not Tampa's worst pizza. But it isn't the best either. I was intrigued by the bungalow look. But quite frankly, the cash only thing is reason enough for me not to come back. The pizza is not cheap. They can afford the 3%. I ordered a Chicago style deep dish. My wife ordered the New York style veggie pizza. I've been to Chicago. I've had real Chicago deep dish pizza. This was a reasonable facsimile. But not good enough to overcome the cash only thing. I'm not coming back. Service was good. Pizza was good. Bring cash and you'll be fine. Or try the 20 other pizza places in Tampa that make better Chicago style deep dish pizza. And they take credit cards.

This place is awesome! I come here with my BFs family and its always a delicious meal. You should definitely get the greek salad and some cheese bread sticks! They are amazing!! I have had both the pizza and the calzones, which are both great! I like the calzones a little better as they are a bit less greasy and their crust here is great, so some extra is always a plus! A must try pizza spot in tampa! Cash only!!!

The pizza isn't bad, but it's not the best. We tried both the "New York" and Chicago style pizza. The New York pizza's crust was too thick to be true New York styled. It was pretty good, though. However, we ordered pepperoni and mushroom, and they only put pepperoni on it. The Chicago pizza's crust was on the dry side, it was not buttery like it is at Pizzeria Unos or Ginos. Also, I don't know if they didn't cook down their sauce enough, but I saw huge chunks of anchovies in it, and it tasted fishy. I usually will put an anchovy or two in my tomato sauce (for the umami factor), but I make sure to heat it in olive oil until it's so broken down that you cannot see the fish in the sauce. I think Cappy's pizza sauce was cooked in a hurry (and/or they accidentally put anchovies on my pizza and then tried to pick them out after the pizza cooked). Both my husband and I agreed that the pizzas were too salty. My mouth puckers thinking about it. They only take cash, and their parking lot is claustrophobic.

As a life-long Chicagoan who has recently relocated to the Tampa area, it was suggested that I try Cappy's Chicago-style pizza. I was also told the breadsticks and greek salad were great. I was not disappointed! Although I would consider the pizza more of a double dough than deep dish. Regardless, all tasted great and reminded me of home. Great ambiance and friendly wait staff too. Will be back and will try the other locations too.

Cash only!!! This is 2015! Come on! Pizza was ok, rather bland. Server was pleasant, self serve beer cooler? We were seated right away, but the rooms are small and very noisy. Small parking lot, I drive a truck, good thing we left late. We will not be back. Sally ONeils much better!

Pizza is really good, love how simple everything is there. We also always get the Greek salad to start which is really good. We didn't think you could find good pizza in Florida but they do a great job. We actually like all of the style pizzas(3) but I think our favorite was the Sierra. The Chicago style is awesome too. So good. They have a beer fridge and it is self serve, good beer choices. They only take cash though so be sure to have some(they do have an atm though I think).

The best pizza I've had I Tampa so far (as low nah as you stick to the ny crust) the location in Palma Ceia is small and noisy but with great service and food that makes it worth it. The Seminole heights location is much bigger with a beautiful outdoor seating area they lost a star because of the deep dish which tends to have soggy crust and the noise in their Palma ceia location is assaulting

Don't. Horror show of disrespect and attitude. No Chicago pizza for us. Too late. Really? Greek salad was a ripoff. Reg pizza ok Then we asked the waitress to please stop OCD cleaning around us tonite before they closed. She didn't like that. Forget this place. Forget it.

I have to admit that we ordered a pizza for carryout close to closing hour (and you know how that goes). The pizza did not seem to be completely cooked. After recooking the pizza at home, the pizza still did not have good flavor. The chicago syle pizza tasted like a can of stewed tomatoes was dumped on top of dough. Note cash only, which is slightly inconvenient, but at least the pizza was inexpensive. I had chosen this place because it was recommended by a local, so I will have to go back for a second opinion and maybe try something different on the menu; the calzone/stromboli looks really good.

Best pizza in South Tampa. This is the original location. Love the anew York-style. Chicago-style is good, too. Lots of good topping choices, mane a nice beer selection. If they're slammed, it may take awhile to get through on the phone. Worth it to be patient and persistent. CASH ONLY! Oh, and in October, check out their biergarten, run in conjunction with Pinky's on Saturdays only.

Being relatively new to the Tampa area, the primary reason I decided to try this place was because it won the Creative Loafing award for the best pizza in the Tampa Bay area a few years ago and I love Chicago-style pizza. As soon as I walked in, I really wanted to like this place and had really high expectations. It had a great, casual atmosphere that was fun and inviting. I'm definitely a fan of the old-school arcade near the front door. The breadsticks were good. They were light and airy, but nothing uniquely special about them. The "Cappy" Chicago-style pizza (sausage, ham, pepperoni, green pepper, onion, mushroom) was a disappointment and a poor representation of Chicago pizza. It had salad-bar cubed ham, watery tomato sauce, no mushrooms because they ran out, and the cheese barely had a presence. The Sierra pizza was quite tasty and my favorite of the night. The best way to describe it is similar to a traditional margherita pizza but thicker with a light and fluffy crust. I highly recommend trying it. Overall, the service was great and loved the concept of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food didn't measure up to the accolades and raving reviews that it received a few years back. They only accept cash/check and I normally wouldn't mind that as I've been to many superb cash-only places, but if you're not going to accept credit/debit then your food better be phenomenally awesome and worth the inconvenience... this place, not so much.
