I always eat more than I need to at Golden Coral, they have lots of options to choose from, from baby back ribs, to steak, fried chicken, fish, pizza, loads of sides, a bunch of different salads, soups and a big ass dessert bar. This location is pretty big, I'm always afraid that I will get a stomach virus from all the people touching everything, or maybe it's all the gluttony going on that makes me feel uncomfortable, perhaps because I'm partaking in all the gluttony going on lol. The price is super affordable, and the food options and quality at this location pretty good, they have a large variety. The staff is always working hard and very attentive. I recommend coming on a weekday. My favorite dishes are the baby back ribs, candied yams, corn bread, cheddar biscuits, clam chowder soup, mashed potatoes and gravy... A thanksgiving feast on a Thursday.

Sometimes a foodie needs a good ol' American buffet. And nothing to me, is more American than The Golden Corral. I decided to make a trip to my local Golden on Friday since I figured they'd have something going on for Good Friday and fortunately I was right. Now I haven't been in a Golden Corral in probably a decade, but they still have the same set up: walk through this weird line, order your drink, pay for your buffet, and go sit down. You'll find a table and your server will sign their name on your slip. From there it's chow time. Now a lot of people hate buffets because they have a rep of being dirty and I get that, but this place was really clean. All of the managers kept on the employees to pick up after everyone. The food: I couldn't believe how good the food was. Admittedly, I was a little nervous eating buffet fish because who knows how long it's been sitting there? They served fish tacos which honestly were probably the best fish tacos I've ever had and they were huge. Naturally, I had two accompanied by some hush puppies that were a little too done, but still good. I loaded up on shrimp and calamari and their amazing macaroni and cheese. Of course I had some soup and salad as well. The dessert bar scores major points because they have everything and by everything I mean a chocolate fountain and a cotton candy machine. Eat your heart out people. I stuck with tradition and just had an ice cream cone (womp womp), but still was tasty. I was really impressed with the overall experience here. The food quality was good, the service was great and the place was super clean. When I feel like killing a few plates of food again I'll definitely come back. And omg, how could I forget to mention the amazing yeast rolls! YUM!

I came here only because I saw them on Undercover Boss. My expectations were high. They were not met, unfortunately. While they really do have a vast selection of foods, nothing was special. All were buffet foods that just meet the expectation of some flavor and a level of quality that is not exciting. It's inexpensive for what you get, but don't expect any outstanding items.
What is more American then an All You Can Eat buffet? With unlimited amounts of food and dessert items, you can't go wrong. The Golden Coral in Fort Lauderdale is one of the best buffets and symbolizes the good ol' American tradition of pigging out buffet style. The buffet was actually invented in France, but don't tell anyone. The food is consistently fresh and presented in an appetizing way. The staff and management are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The manager named John is always on the spot greeting guests and continually attending the buffet food areas. They have tons of options to choose from either hot or cold with fab salad dessert bar. Do not pass up this reasonably priced buffet. Garrett

Memories. Like hearing your favorite song from 2004 or driving past your old high school. Welp, Golden Corral takes me back to that happy place. Recently moving into the neighborhood, I discovered GC one afternoon while driving. I feel like I've found that missing piece filled with hot rolls and sweet honey butter. I literally can live off of those hot yeasty rolls. The food is still hot and delicious just how I remembered it being in Atlanta. So many varieties for us vegetarians and you carnivores. The service was very friendly with that southern hospitable touch. This is the best buffet in town and you can't beat the price. I've been reunited with my monthly pig out spot. P.S- must try the chocolate fondue fountains. Mmm mmm good.

Again thank you John

Baked beans pot roast Spanish rice This was my first visit to a Golden Corral in many years. The last time I was at this location was before it had been closed down for a while. My first impression when walking in was that it is very brightly lit and cheerful. I came during the dinner rush, so there was a wait to get through the line and pay. My total came to $15.25 including my drink. Not too bad for all-you-can-eat. I started out with some pot roast, and chicken noodle soup (I know--a strange combination. ) The chicken noodle soup was good, and the pot roast was just about off the charts amazing. I would come here just for the pot roast alone. For my next round I tried some boneless pork ribs and some boneless beef ribs. Neither were very remarkable, and I didn't finish either. Along with those I tried some mashed potatoes, and one of their delicious yeasty rolls. On my third trip, among other things I tried some Spanish rice, which I found to be excellent, and baked beans which were also very good. For dessert I started with a chocolate ice cream cone. I remember the ice cream at this location from years ago, and it is just as good as it was then. One thing I noticed that made me do a double take, was that they actually have cotton candy here! Where was this place when I was a kid?!! I also tried a slice of their chocolate cake. The frosting tasted like what you would get at the grocery store to make your own at home, and the cake was moist but overall, nothing special. Oh, I forgot to mention that I also tried their chili. I found it to be very bland and tasteless. I am used to the chili at Sweet Tomatoes, and this is nothing like it at all. The server that was handling my section, Carolina, was very attentive and got me refills when I needed them. I did not have any salad, but I did note that their salad section is rather small. If you are looking for a place to stuff your face with good food, this place is worthy.

Nice and Clean. Went here on 9/11 and all cops and firefighters ate for free. Five stars right there and I'm glad they remember all the sacrifices made on that fateful day. Thanks. Clean clean clean. Who hasn't see the horror stories on You Tube about GC. I couldn't help but think about that as I was walking in the door. Well everything changed right there when I was greeted by the friendly workers and saw how new this place looked. I later found out that new owners bought it and refurbished the whole place. Looks amazing. As for the food, its the best Buffett around. Fresh Turkey cut off the frame as you wait, salads, sides, desserts, and tons more food to choose from. It's food overload. Everything I had was tasty. If you want a wide variety of food and a cheap price, this is the place for you. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!

I was pleasantly surprised by the great variety of food and by the really excellent service. This place is a terrific value, some of the dishes were quite good, and it compares very favorably to other buffets I have been to, even though some were much more expensive. Would definitely return. Would also like to try the Golden corral and Pembrooke pines, but the reviews for that establishment seem to be quite negative by comparison.

It's simple... tasteless food at cheap prices. Many young ignorant ill mannered people there who spoil the customer experience. After all cheap prices gather all sorts of undesirables. If the food was good and I would be returning this would be the deciding factor but since I will never return it's not a biggie for me... be sure to get a clean seat away from the Riff Raff.

For breakfast. Juice machine not working. Waffle machine not working. Thank god the employees are! I mean can't you have back up machines? Long lines and wait for omelette. Very tasteless bacon and sausage links. Sausage links were not cook enough. Waitress was excellent. Will only return to try lunch or Dinner.

Best its been for awhile. Prime rib was surprisingly fabulous, good enough to go back and warrant a second slice. Butterfly shrimp hot and crispy. We will be back. I've been here many times over the last 5 years. Often you are there to gorge yourself not fine dine. this was the best meal i've ever eaten at a Golden Corral. Staff was top notch; managers were on the floor, food was being refilled and was always hot and fresh (not something this particular restaurant used to do very well).

Veteran's Day could have been worse - but Golden Corral on Commercial Blvd made it wonderful. We got there in the rain, my brother and I, and stood in line outside. The rain stopped, the conversation with other Veterans began. We got in, we got our drinks, we got seated - and THAT was well organized! The manager stood near the registers and had two employees, one left and one right, and they signaled to each other about tables that were free. We were in and seated in less than 35 minutes! The food was awesome, the atmosphere was great...it was a good Veteran's Day. Props to Golden Corral and their team for keeping things moving, clean and delicious!

It was our first time at the Golden Corral. We had seen the ads on TV in NYC, but since there are virtually no chains there, we never got the opportunity to try one until we got to South Florida, and we were impressed. The food buffet went from salads to desserts - all on an a very long, large buffet. It was divided into sections and just to name a few: they had a carving station with a fresh hot turkey, pizza station, Chinese station, fried stuff station (chicken etc.) and almost everything else you could think of. The soups were hot and the desserts were appetizing. Later on John, the owner, spoke with us and told us that they have 172 menu items on the buffet at all times. At four o'clock or so they bring out fresh steaks and broil them to your liking, and at dinner time John told us there is always another carving station with either ribs or pork roast etc. We went for lunch but adding those meat items would have added only a few dollar to our $17.00 cost for two. All in all this is a steal. For South Florida in season you're lucky to get a salad and coffee for two to $17.00! Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention that coffee or tea and lots of desserts also come with that price.

Cashier told me place was closed for awhile as it was one of the worst in the chain. Now they're 17 out of all the stores. Food wasn't bad though I didn't see any ribs as advertised. Steak wasn't bad, chicken was pretty good. Since I'm from New York I won't be there often but I would go back. Staff was friendly. Food trays were never empty.

The management and staff are very friendly and helpful. There are great vegetarian options for me as a practicing vegetarian. The salad bar is amazing with delicious fresh ingredients but cooked veggies are soft and mushy and tastless so I need to use the cheese sauce to give them flavor. That's fattening so it's not my first choice. The breads are fresh and delicious and on occasion we have been offered fresh rolls brought to the table hot from the oven ! The trays are never empty and the food bar is checked regularly for refills and cleanliness. My family loves the fresh carved meat and turkey, although I don't eat it, I have heard from them that it's good. The desserts are plentiful and a huge variety of options. Some are very good ie: banana pudding and peach cobbler, but some desserts are just ordinary. There is self serve soft ice cream and scooped variety to choose from. We go back regularly when we all want different choices in a meal..

The difference between this Golden Corral and the one at Pembroke Pines is night and day. No nasty decomposed trash odor, the food was fresh, and was constantly being swapped out. I live 4 minutes away from the Pines Golden Corral, but I'd rather travel the 25 minutes it took me to get here.

I love Golden Corral especial the breakfast. For the price you can get stuffed with all you can eat. I'm usually full for hours after I leave there. It may not be the BEST quality of food but for the price its pretty darn good especially if you have a sweet tooth. I must say the bakery section is my favorite. If you do not like crowds this may not be the place for you.

The Golden Coral is a buffet set up so you pay for your food first. The main attraction of the place is that it is cheap, like real cheap, but unfortunately for the most part, the food shows it. However, they do have freshly cooked whole turkey which they slice off for you, but unfortunately it's rather dry, somewhat tasteless the gravy for it is particularly sad looking as well disappointing in taste. So bad in fact, that I ended up using a beef taco sauce instead, but nevertheless one of your better bets amongst their main food offerings. They also have some fried chicken which seemed to be a customer favorite and a beef stew that I thought was pretty tasty but the beef they added was fat and all, rendering it unacceptably greasy in consistency. As for their green fried tomatoes and fried okra, some of the worst I've ever come across. I can't really cover all of the food offerings except to say they huge and wide ranging but can only say that though there are a few that are somewhat OK, most are more the equal in taste and flavor to what one might find in a ghetto high school cafeteria. The décor of the place certainly isn't anything to look at with the floor usually cluttered with yellow caution cones so that patrons can avoid wet spots and spills. On the bright side, the staff that works here definitely do their best, are polite, generally on the ball and helpful. Also, the place is clean, which is a real accomplishment considering. The patrons tend to mostly be elderly, unfortunately relegated to dining here in order to stretch, out as best they can, their social security or pension incomes.

We were pleasantly surprised at this Golden Corral by owner named John that was so interested in his business being the best it could be the food was extraordinary the place was clean and he was very friendly, and his attention to detail was amazing thank you John will be back..... my husband had fish with lemon herb sauce that we have never seen on a buffet before that my husband said was the best he's ever had...

Great Deal 12 bucks all you can eat. Food is great i loved the meatloaf! Great assortment of choices meals and desserts. Free refill and great people picking up your used plates and keeping your table clean. Great value.

RE-done and smells better!! But food lacking something ...spirit gone. Made changes that id this place with the newest local one., but it doesn't 'work'.

(5)Al G.

Came here one day with my folks and they seemed to like it.Let me tell you...the desserts were so delicous and we'd defs come here again next time.Too bad I don't have a Golden Corral nearby here!

Went to the Golden corral in Tamarack yesterday we had 125 people for lunch Joe the general manager was fantastic and also the food and service was great everybody had a wonderful time. If you haven't tried it give it a shot you will enjoy it. The pot roast the meatloaf and the fried chicken is delicious. Signed Arthur Thanks again for a great party

YUM!
