Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Don't make the mistake of thinking you can have as many toppings as you want; you get 3 free and the rest are 50 cents apiece! All in all, though, excellent pizza. Just enough crust to make it tasty and not so much that it's super thick. Fresh ingredients, good portions. That said, service was a little slow in cleaning tables for people to sit, but that's understandable as they were very busy.

I'm only doing 4 stars because the guy gave me sausage-chicken on accident instead grilled like I asked! Totally cool though because it tastes so good anyways. Came here with a friend for lunch and made our own pizza. Came out to 20 bucks but 10 bucks each for an XL pizza isn't bad. We got a bbq/tomatoes sauced pizza with mozzarella cheese. Added spinach, chicken, sausage, and pepperoni to it. THIS PIZZA IS TOO DANG GOOD. Their bbq sauce and marinara mix perfectly and the crust isn't cooked just right. Make sure to get a side of marinara for your crust, promise you won't regret it. Come here if your in the mood for a good local hangout and eat spot. Great for friend groups and the atmosphere is relaxing. GREAT music selection as well. Coming here again soon.

Huge variety of ingredients for both the pizzas and salads. 100 flavor Coke fountain and some homemade deserts add up to a very nice menu. Staff was very friendly and the outdoor seating gives is perfect for the night time breeze.

First time and we will be back! Everything was great! Delicious crust and toppings. Friendly atmosphere.

Love love love love love love this place! Yummy pizza. Always fresh and has GLUTEN-FREE pizza. On top of that, the staff is educated about cross contamination and really makes sure that if you have celiacs then you're taken care of. Bummed to lose the GF desert though. But LOVE this place :) can NOT wait for the Appalachee location to open. :)

I'm in love with this place! They have the greatest pizza in the world (that I have experienced)! For all the individuals who need it, they have GLUTEN-FREE dough! There are sooo many toppings, I haven't had the same pizza twice! As a cheese lover, I not only can get the traditional mozzarella, I can sprinkle it with feta, blue cheese, cheddar, goat cheese, and more! If you are a meat lover, you have many choices, including STEAK! Do watch what you are adding up as you go, however, as some toppings cost extra, so ask before you choose! If you don't want to create your own, there are a lot of choices straight from the menu. On my first visit, I got the spicy Italian pizza, and it was DELICIOUS! The music is completely groovy! It is mostly 70's and 80's, which suits this hippy just fine! Nothing like great music to help add to an experience! If you want to enjoy Uncle Maddio's great za in the privacy of your own home, ask them for a 'Take and Bake'. They will do a half-bake on the dough, pile it with your favorite toppings, and put it in a box with baking instructions right there on the top (8-10 minutes has been my experience). So no need to eat cold, already baked pizza if you don't want to eat in! There are salads available, and 'breadstixs', although I think the bread stix are pizza dough cut into triangles. Do not take my word for that, however, because I haven't ordered any. I just see them through the looking glass! Being in a shopping center, it isn't the largest dining room in town, so I don't recommend huge groups, although 10 or fewer should find no issue getting seated. They don't serve Pepsi, so I could only give it a four-star rating! Give us some choice here, Uncle!

First thing to say, Maddios is a family place. That's great for us old folks. And families too. What it is not is a place for groups of drunks to hang out. Thus the high prices for bottled beer, 4.49 for a single bottle of Mic Ultra. A little high to enjoy even if you drink just one. Makes you feel ripped off. Draft beer, not sure how many ozs. is 2.99 I think. Not too bad. For soft drinks, you get a cup, go to the machine and get your own. Getting back to the Pizza. Its' good. Thin crust that is crispy in the right places and a good bread chew too. For the price, you get 3 ingredients beyond the bread and tomatoe sauce. .50 for additional ingredients. The small pizza is a great value and just the right amount for a single person. This is a place where you stand in line and select the ingredients and bread crust you want. Importantly, the staff are younger folks and all seem well mannered and polite. Maddios obviously has a great hiring and training plan. I like that. The place has great 60s, 70s, and maybe some 80s music. And its' not too loud. Ambience is fair. The venue is small. But if you want to eat a pizza and feel satisfied that you spent your money well, Maddios is a good place to go.

New to Tallahassee and have been wanting to try new restaurants. I ordered carry-out today and it was great! When I went in to pick it up the atmosphere was really cool. I definitely want to eat in next time. The pizza was really good, but the chocolate chip cookie put it over the top for me. Seriously, the best cookie I've ever had! I was surprised that they didn't have wings there but they do offer salad and bread sticks. I plan to try the bread sticks.

Maddio's is our go to place for pizza night. Really flavorful crust on the whole wheat, gluten free or regular and we like all the fresh toppings. Really wish they have Alfredo sauce as an option though. Service is mostly good even on busy nights, but double check your order if you're doing takeout.

Meh... Truly nothing special. Food doesn't seem especially fresh. Not bad. Just better options around.

Pizza, as always, is outstanding, but on what planet do you run out of pizza dough at 7:00 on a Saturday night? Somebody wasn't doing their job! And with 5 people making pizza, how can you look like the keystone cops while you're doing it?
(3)Amy D.
Really good pizza. They have flavor combinations that are so unusual. The black and bleu is a great example of something totally unique and tasty. I would highly recommend giving them a try!

Soooooo good. Awesome concept. Delicious food. Try it! I doubt you will be disappointed.

Couple friends and I came here to eat, and it was great. Food was delicious, and service was exceptional. Very friendly people, and our pizzas came pretty quickly, too.

I had a salad with tofu on it. The tofu was completely over spiced and seasoned. They barely gave me any toppings, and the dressing was straight out of a tub. The eggplant I got as a side was very oilly and greasy. They brought my salad first and forgot about the eggplant. I asked again and the server was not nice and said it would come and rolled her eyes. No apologies. I was excited to find another create your own pizza place after your pie closed, but I will never be back to this restaurant.

I ordered a pizza extra thin. They told me they only had one type. I asked if they could just make the dough very thin and remove the rest of the dough. They assured me they could. It was not a thin crust pizza. Also, the quality of the pizza for me is slightly above frozen pizza. Little Italy has the best pizza in town, followed by Joe Mamas. Mikes Stone baked was the best in town, but recently closed down for some reason. It was excellent pizza , but a bit expensive. So, that might not have been a good fit on the college side of town. If you are a fan of Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns or similar, then you will like Uncle Maddios. If you are used to good traditional NY pizza, you will hate this pizza!

I just can't get on board with a place that measures all the ingredients so obviously. Employees spend more time ensuring I don't get a fraction of an ounce of extra toppings that the joy I get in watching the pizza getting made fizzles away completely. In the end I'm disappointed and realize that I would rather take the pizza to go so I can go home and add some real toppings. Skip this place and go to a real pizza joint where you actually can see the toppings and don't have to worry about 1/4 cup of anything.

Really good pizza made right in front of you. This place can be busy, and has surprisingly limited seating. Had to subtract 1-star from my review because the soda machine was broken when we visited. Now, that may seem harsh, but they made me pay for a bottled water since apparently it's impossible to give a cup of ice water if soda machine is broken? Nevertheless, we'll be back!

Great food, great price, great variety. It doesn't look like they've had much turnover in the staff, either, so they're dong something right. The only thing keeping me from rating this place 5 stars is the seating - if you go at lunch or for an early dinner, it can be REALLY tight. I've only had to wait for a table once (you order your food, find a place to sit on your own, and they bring it to you) but it can be frustrating when others are waiting too.

Darn good food!! I love the pizza and everything else! The staff are quick to get you food together and it is a good clean family oriented establishment.

Hubby has been encouraging me to try this place because he really likes it. When you first walk in, things can be a little confusing. Turn left. There you will see the menu board. Choose your dough, your sauce and the toppings or choose from one of their massive selections. You follow your pizza down as it is being built. At this busy time all the ingredients looked fresh. There is also a wide assortment of salads to choose from or just let them know what you want. I chose the jerk chicken pizza on whole wheat cruse just because I like chicken and pineapple. It was good but next time I am going for the meat! You order, the. Go to the register for drinks and to pay. They give you a number for your table and deliver your order "with love". Served with love. I like that. I'll be back again!

This is one of our go to spots for a quick delicious meal on busy week nights with sports and activities. We really love the Pesto portabella pizza but have not had a pizza we didn't really enjoy. We also have good experience with take-out. The pizza travels well for us. Good prices also.

We ordered a large BBQ Chicken Pizza to go. I am giving this restaurant two stars for the following reasons: - the staff was super nice - the place was very clean - I like the website. But I really wanted to give it one star. This is the reasons for that: - the pizza was really, really, really, really terrible and food IS the main reason I visit restaurants. It was so salty that I couldn't eat it. I wanted to take it back, but my husband had scarfed down two pieces before he even tasted it. He won't eat the leftovers. We dissected the pizza to try to find the origin of the "over-salted-ness," and each ingredient was sort of gross, but tolerable on its own. However, combined, it was just too much. And the perfect combination of fantastic ingredients is what makes pizza an art! Did they even taste test this one? Oh, and the price. $20 is too much for pizza that is worse than Hungry Howie's or Domino's or Little Ceasar's. My husband thinks we should try it again and get something simple, but I doubt it.

Their gluten-free pizza is absolutely delicious! With a herb pesto base, it's like a deliciously crispy flatbread!
