My husband and I were looking for an easy place to eat after a long day moving in college kids. Old Town Cafe hit the spot. Staff was super friendly and helpful. My husband could not decide between the non-traditional meatloaf and open face roast beef. Ultimately he ordered the meatloaf with the promise that he could switch if he did not like it. It ended up being not to his liking and lo and behold a new plate arrived. My baby backs were tasty and tender and went great with my crispy crinkle fries. We topped our me off with the apple cobbler. Wanted to take the kids for our final meal on Sunday but sadly it was closed. We will definitely visit next trip to Tally.

It had been a long time since I had diner food, and I had a craving for it. Looked up diners in Tallahassee and ended up going here. Food was some of the worst diner food I've ever had. Seemed like it came out cans and a Sam's Club freezer bag. Very plain, and I could have made something much better at home. Service was fine, but with that kind of food, I would never go back.

The French dip sandwich is fantastic! I also really love the meatloaf. The restaurant has a wonderful down home feeling.

Went yesterday with my family for my granny's 80th birthday. I ordered the moms meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was not meatloaf, it was stuffing with no meat and just pure disgusting. The green beans were straight out of a can and for such a upscale place it was very disappointing. The service was the only thing good about this place. The menu prices were too high to be getting canned food. Will not be going back.

Yikes... Likely the last time here. Blue plate meatloaf had sparse evidence of meat, ample evidence of a crisco-like additive. Mashed potatoes straight out of a powdered potatoes box. Green beans certainly canned. Both potatoes and beans, I suspect, we're from off-brand sources - much like the "red gold" ketchup bottle. Server was intriguingly unpleasant and harried. Fascinating... I'd like to give them another chance down the road.

I had heard good things about this restaurant but they failed to deliver on the their reputation. The meatloaf was very soggy and under seasoned. My friend had crab cakes and they were also quite soggy and tasteless. It was also quite pricey. I'm afraid I won't be returning here.

We love coming here.... We visit Tallahassee every year for a month and Old Town Cafe is one of our favorite places. My favorite food is the veggie burger .... :-)

One of our hometown favorites. Favorite items are fried shrimp (you can see right through the batter), prime rib and the ribs. Blue cheese dressing is the best in town. Tuna steak, walnut chicken salad and burger are also good.

Been here twice and tried two of their specials. Their chili is good, and the meatloaf outstanding. Chicken fried steak was only so-so. But if you like diners, this is the place to go in NE Tallahassee.

This is the best place in town for seafood! Surprised? I was too! Lived in Tallahassee for 3 years and this was the ONLY place I found that had good fried shrimp! They also have grecian grouper which is to die for. It's more of a local spot, and I didn't get the "diner" feel, but the seafood is great!
