It's not fast, and it's sure as hell not healthy. But walking into this place feels like walking into a time machine set on the 1960s. The place hasn't been updated in forever, but I love this place. The people who work there are regular folks, not McDona-bots, and are entertaining and usually very friendly. Their wings are consistently great, and their fried chicken is too.

I've tried so many places since moving to Tallahassee, but this was literally the most disgusting place I've ever eaten... Not just in Tallahassee, but anywhere. And I rarely complain about food. Our food had this disgusting odor that we had no idea what it was. I will surely never go back.

Holy crap, what a dump. It smells bad, it's dirty, and the counter girl wasn't very friendly. It also looks like someone's house, and I may have felt just as comfortable driving to a stranger's house and knocking on their door as I felt here. However, the chicken wings were large and delicious. I don't know why my friend and I thought 2 average sized guys could eat 25 wings and 2 orders of fries... considering an order of fries fills a whole styrofoam take-out box. The price would have been great if we would have ordered the right amount of food, or added a few people to our group. I'm still glad I came instead of giving in to the comfort and familiarity of Zaxby's or Chick-fil-a nearby. I would at least come back for the wings if I lived nearby.

VERY slow, but nice enough employees. I love the chicken sandwich and macaroni and cheese. Good place.

Everything a local fried chicken place should be. Fast, greasy, filling. Locally owned next to a chick-fil-a but a totally different chicken experience.

They really do have awesome chicken sandwiches....really awesome and their livers are awesome too. Tender with the perfect amount of breading and seasoning on them. Their hot sauce made them even more perfect. Collards were salty and very tasty as was their mac and cheese I didnt care for their potato salad or cole slaw though. I didnt care for it at all. Just was not good to me and the location i went in stunk.....like a restroom. Place seemed like it needed a good cleaning. The restaurant looks kind of dumpy from the outside and i had not planned on ever going in to eat but a coworker said they have the best chicken sandwiches ever so that convinced me to try them. Lindys is a small, locally owned chained with great chicken sandwich and soul food like livers and gizzards so i will definitely be back. I went back again yesterday and was even more blown away. I got the pint of chicken livers, pint of mashed tato salad and gravy (awesome), french fries (good) mac and cheese again (fresh, tender, and delicious so i'm bumping my stars up to five. Lindys does (the one off n. monroe) need a complete and total cleaning and more happy employees though.

Ordered over the phone placed on hold forever when i finally got there food wasn't even ready woman @ the counter wasn't friendly the only smile in the whole place was a little kid guess her kid that greeted everyone @ the door with a smile & happy easter thank you for coming to lindys highlight of the place hotwings didn't even have enough hotsauce had to use my own.

They have the best fried gizzards in town absolutely love them... I enjoy coming to Tallahassee to eat their fried gizzards and hot wings... I'm ready to eat some of your gizzards hopefully soon...

I went to Lindy's for the first time today. I purchased the five piece hot wings with fries and it was delicious. It came out quickly, was steaming hot and the fries were seasoned perfectly. My only suggestion is to add a little liveliness--maybe some music would be nice to contribute to the atmosphere. Overall I'm happy to support a Tallahassee business and will be back again!

As perfect a fried chicken as you can get in NOLA or Savannah! Ask for fried and ye shall receive!

Where else in America can you go and scream through the window for the man to fry your chicken livers for just 2 minutes so that they are still pink inside. Y'all don't understand. And you get fries with that!

Loved the fried chicken. Hot n crispy. The pork chop not so much. The crispy batter fell completely off the chop. The greens were good but the Mac n cheese was average. I gave them 4 stars cause the chicken was really good and that's what I came in for. N btw, the service was awesome and the lady was very helpful when I was ordering - not at all like another reviewer said. Matter of fact - I'm changing to 5 stars - extra star for service!!

We have been to Lindy' other N. Monroe St. Location 2 times in the last week and they have been out of different types of side orders. Come on Ray we have been eating Lindy's Fried Chicken for over 50 yrs. and your other stores never run out of food. What's up with this store? And now the AC is broken too. We are loyal Lindy's customers, don't make us change our minds. Get this store straighten out.
