Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

My review as well is for the food truck only. My companies bank is next to this store and food truck so i saw it everyday i went to make a deposit. My interest in it was piqued when i first saw it but didnt get around to eating there until this past week. I dont know why i waited so long. It is great. Also, i cant imagine mexican food more authentic than this. You wont find Moes or On the Border items or tastes like you do here at La Moreliana. The flavors and spices here at La Moreliana seem more complex (authentic) than the average mexican restaurant. Whereas other mexican restaurants use flavor enhancers, salts, and whatever La Moreliana seems simple...like they are not trying to hard to make a great dish. The tacos are awesome. The buttitoes are huge...stuffed to the max. The quesadillas were awesome and the rice and beans great too. If you come to TLH its worth finding this place and eating here.

Okay I'm gonna say this now, I'm only reviewing the food truck, not the grocery store (I've never been in there). Anyways, they serve authentic on the go mexican food (tacos, burritos, quesadillas) and If I was able to give it a 3 and a half star, that would be my rating but unfortunately, it wouldn't let me. The only reason I opted to give them a 3 star is that their selection is rather limited (they don't serve chicken). But other than that, their food is delicious and filling. Now don't expect a "Moes" like quality (Im not saying that MOES is mexican but I'm talking about the filling in their burritos) but for the price you pay ($3.75 for a burrito!), it definitely does the job. I've been in other mexican restaurants in town and I'm confident enough to say that La Moreliana is way better. Expand their menu and they'll definitely earn another star.

I just moved to Tallahassee and have been looking for real Mexican food. My husband is from Mexico and grew up in his family's restaurant so I have been spoiled with good food. This place has great food at good prices and the owner and employees are very friendly. Like the previous poster said, the tacos are huge and the meat is delicious. You must try this place!

The best street style tacos in town. Very good quality. Other dishes are also good. The truck is the food source, the grocery store has the drinks.

absolute best authentic mexican food in tallahassee. the tacos are SO GOOD and are huge for only $1.75 a piece. you can get beef, pork, chicken, beef tongue, beef cheek or chicharones in the tacos and other items. i highly recommend both the steak taco and the beef tongue taco.

Best tacos and burritos in town, hands down. Closest thing to authentic Mexican in Tallahassee. Also, it's not on the menu anymore, but you can still order the chilaquiles which just might be the best thing they have. Rockin' truck, killer food. Hit it up.

I have lived in Tallahassee for 6 years now, and I have finally found authentic Mexican tacos at this food truck. They are the best tacos in town. The chilaquiles are delicious, and they are very spicy. I always try to come and eat at least once a week because I live on the other side of town, but the drive is so worth it to get my fix on real Mexican food. Ps. The Owner is also a cook in the truck, and every time I see him he says hi to me, and that is so nice. They are all very nice down-to-earth people and it makes it very enjoyable to go eat there.

I've come here four times. Solid truck menu options. I've a weakness for the lengua and al pastor tacos - so I come for those. Great value/quality.

This is for the food truck only. The grocery store I would actually give 3 stars. I have to say these are the worst tacos I've ever had in my life, and yes I've been to Mexico and used to live in California as well as Chicago.. you know places with good mexican food. Now, I had been here before, and it was pretty decent, nothing fantastic... But good. Last time I went, ordered a carnitas and a carne asada taco. Each taco had ONE piece of meat on it... Carne Asada is a thin steak that is grilled, and is generally chopped up if on a singular taco. This looked like a big piece of roast beef that had been boiled in water. What is more, the inside of this hunk of meat was cold on the inside, it had no flavor whatsoever. Couldn't finish it. The carnitas was also one piece of meat. The outside of carnitas is supposed to be crispy as it is fried, and it is supposed to be shredded... Also, no flavor on this whatsoever. Pretty much another piece of meat. The tortillas had obviously been sitting around for awhile (they were stale) as the outsides had that curled up hardness to them that you get by leaving them out for too long. GF had a quesadilla, which had no flavor whatsoever in it and more iceberg lettuce than the size of the quesadilla itself. The cheese was room temperature, not even fully melted. This place redid their signs and stuff since the last time I went to it, maybe different cooks? New people cooking the food? It was far far different than what I had before and I've had both the carnitas and carne asada at this place before, it's my typical order at any taco truck. Save yourself a trip and go to Taco Bell ... at least the food would be warm.
