Overall it was just good. The salmon, the beer were good. The fried pickles were a waste. The fried oreos were not as good as I had hoped. Service was good and it's a nice place inside. Also there is a parking deck, so that was convenient. I'm not sure if it was good enough to go back. I liked 101 better.

Definitely one of the finer restaurants in the area. We had a fairly large group so we made a reservation and I was ever so excited that they let us bring our own bottle's of wine for a small corkage fee. The lovely hostess sat us in a private room towards the back of the restaurant. It was fabulous because we were loud just enjoying good company and food. Our waitress came over and she was a Delta Zeta like our daughter so score we knew we would have fantastic service! Wish I could remember her name she was spectacular. The bread came out with a garlic butter, OMG it was that good. We ordered several apps, which were wonderful. The inside decor is dark and an old feel to it with a sophisticated vibe. Prices to me were very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. I ordered a blackened Grouper topped with crab meat. The fish was so fresh, grilled to a tasty delight with hints of butter and lemon with great seasoning. We were a group of 12 people and every single one of us enjoyed our meal very much. Highly recommend for a nice dinner. Superb Service, can't wait to go back on my next visit.

In case anyone gets confused, yes, I am allergic to shellfish. BUT! who says no when a friend says, I have a coupon let's go to dinner. It's a SEAFOOD bar and grill so they have to serve fish there. I have to say I was really impressed with the atmosphere, I mean, yes I am a habitual regular at all of the quick and easy college restaurants around twon but every now and again you ahve to change into your fancy clothes and go out for a civilized meal. I WILL DEFINETELY BE COMING BACK. I really enjoyed Harry's. My dinner partner is a Harry's regular so she knew what was good to order, of course not being allergic to shellfish she had their Po' boy and says that it is the best one in town. As far as their selection of fish and sides go I was very excited, good choices and a lot of variety. I had the salmon just to go and start with something familiar. Best salmon I've ever had, period. I for sure am going to be updating this review and trying something more adventerous next time. As far as teh service goes, my waitress was great but the bus boys could use a little wake up coffee or something. It was only 8 pm when we got there and they weren't really understanding that yes, I would like my plates to be cleared.

With jeans and tennis shoes on entered with caution only to be treated like a king by the whole crew - especially Britton who was terribly charming and befriended me and asked questions about photography. We ate at Harry's on a Sunday afternoon and were seated immediately. I started with a cup of gumbo which was my preference style of beef broth, finely chopped ingredients, and a spoonful of rice on top. It was thick, just the right amount of heat and some of the best I've ever had. For an entree I had the rice jambalaya and my wife had the shrimp and grits. The jambalaya was moist without being mushy and each meat was firm and fresh. It had a medium amount of heat. however I found the bottled hot sauce on the table to be too tomatoey and dull the taste of the jambalaya. My wife said the shrimp and grits were well done and fresh. The service was decent but they were slow on drink refills. Overall I can highly recommend Harry's as an excellent place for Cajun or Creole cooking.
Since I moved I have missed going to Harry's so much. The menu is so wonderful - I always had something different and every time I ordered I knew my food was going to be sensational. The grits are to die for, and the wait staff was never anything but wonderful. I miss you guys.

Really excellent food. Authentic? Probably not, I've never been to New Orleans. My favorites are the Ahi Tuna Salad, the Evangeline Pasta (scallops with white wine and red pepper butter sauce, oh man), and the Chocolate Bread Pudding. Totally outstanding food, drinks, and great seating accommodations for large groups. Being apart of Kleman plaza, it's part of that nice little island of classiness in downtown Tallahassee. If it's a nice day, sit outside, enjoy the view and the food!

I've tried this place several times and the food is OK on a good day. The setting is great for birthday dinners or late lunches, but there's better food in every direction downtown. Another cause for my poor review - they lost my reservation. My roommate was going out of country to Japan for the summer so I called earlier in the day to make reservations for 7. I get there at 6 to make sure everything is ok (they say "YEAH"... just make sure at least 1/2 of the party is here by that time (we had a party of 8)). At 7p five members were there...we were not seated til 8 and had almost a 15min wait before we were offered drinks. I ordered Crabmeat & Eggplant Napoleon (which had almost no crabmeat but was still well made) followed by a Grilled Chicken Baton Rouge that was dry. I probably won't try again. I've wasted enough money here.

This was one of my first tastes of canjun creole food. As a native New Yorker who lived outside the city, I never really had the opportunity to have good canjun creole food. So, I am no expert on this type of food but Harry's was a very god start in my humble opinion. The food was pretty good and I am very hard to please when it comes to seafood. Also the atmosphere is very nice but still casual and the service is good as well. An overall good experience for me at least and one I would recomend to anyone in Tallahassee looking for good seafood or creole food at a very reasonable price

I've had to travel to Tallahassee a few times for work and tried Harry's a couple of times. Both times i ordered the crawfish etouffee and enjoyed it. Not much Cajun options by me so i was excited to get some here. It wasn't the best i had but it hit the spot. My co-worker ordered some crab cakes there and did not like it at all, he didn't even finish it. So my take is Harry's can be a hit or miss place, and the dishes are a bit on the moderate side. But the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was trendy, so overall i'd give it a positive experience.

Wonderful experience! If you're a wine drinker, go on mondays when they have 1/2 price bottles and an extensive list to choose from. The bleu martini was delicious ! Wednesdays are half price martinis! They have a very comfy upscale bar area and patio dining. Our waitress was the best I've seen in quite a while and I'm sorry I can't remember her name! Had the napoleon crab and eggplants appetizer which won a 2009 award and I now know why. It was enough for am entree and compliments of flavor galore. My fav place in Tallahassee so far. Dinner for 2 with martinis will run you about $70 and is definitely worth it.

This is the best Tallahassee seafood restaurant I've been to thus far (although I will admit that other than sushi, I've been to Red Lobster and Barnacle Bill's, so my experience is limited). I went here with my boyfriend and two of our friends on a Saturday night. They do not take reservations (or so they said on this particular trip), but we did not have to wait long. They initially told us twenty to twenty-five minutes, but it only took about ten. I would suggest calling ahead and putting your name on the list if you think it will be a busy night. I had the sugar cane shrimp and scallops with mashed potatoes, which looked nothing like the picture (they said it would be on a sugar cane skewer, but it looked as though it was never skewered at all) but was still pretty good. It didn't have much of a flavor to it, so I dipped the pieces of fish in the sweet sauce that came with it. My friend had the salmon, which was burned on the bottom because of the skin. The skin was impossible to remove, so she had to pick at it a bit since the skin was too charred to consume. Our other friend seemed to enjoy his steak. We also had the clam chowder as an appetizer, which was good but very thin. The service was fine. Nothing too remarkable, but acceptable. I really liked the atmosphere and location. As you walk into the restaurant, there is a glass dome above you that is really pretty. Overall, with tip, the meal cost about $70 for me and my boyfriend.

Just driving through...our last stop was actually NOLA. This place has excellent cajun food, great big portion sizes and wonderful . The Gumbo and She Crab bisque were both heavenly. I highly recommend the Evangeline pasta, and also the Jambalaya...my husband ordered it, and both dishes balanced each other out...with their very different blends of spices and "heat"...we shared. Dessert was the absolutely to die for .... chocolate bread pudding. We also shared this. Portion sizes are Very Generous! We both hurt ourselves there! LOL. Don't miss it if you're in the Tallahassee area.

Around the campus side of town Harry's is one of the nicest restaurants by far. It's casual yet elegant. A great place to take a date. Speaking of which, they have great deals on drinks if you go at the right time. Definitely visit the facebook page ( facebook.com/harrys.tall… ) before you go so you can check out the drink specials and plan your visit accordingly (happy hour, half-off bottled wine on Mondays, all day happy hour on Tuesday, etc.) Harry's is a very well realized concept of upscale cajun New Orleans cuisine. The calamari is among the best I've had, served with fried green beans and remoulade sauce. I get it every time I go and it still impresses me. Last time I went, I got the redfish topped with crab and I can highly recommend it if that sounds like it might be your flavor. I see some complaints of bad service in other reviews. I don't know if these people were expecting fine dining service or just were unlucky, but the servers I've had have always been friendly and hospitable. If you like cajun flavor or seafood in general, you have to try Harry's.

This place was great....Google maps and your GPS will make it a little hard to find and park at, but it's well worth the find. We sat at the bar and I ordered a tasty hurricane (yeah, it was a long day) We started with the Shrimp and Crawfsh Fondeaux which knocked me off my feet. It was just a dream to eat. I ordered a cup of the gumbo, which I loved, it had a nice taste, and wasn't too acidic as many poorly made gumbo's are. I really enjoyed the balance of the herbs and spices. The Harry's hot sauce is a welcome addition to it. For my entree I had the Blue Crab Crusted Redfsh, which is actually a redfish WITH A WHOLE CRAB CAKE ON TOP! The dish was flawless, I smeared the crab cake on top and went to town....As a side I got the fried grit cakes with a tasso cream sauce, and was nothing short of amazed..... The atmosphere here is lovely, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. One of the better meals I've had in this town.

So I've eaten at Harry's a few times for their seafood. But last night I decided to try their Pork Tenderloin Medallions and Portobello Mushroom Sauce, and I was completely blown away by it. The tenderloin was seared perfectly and cooked to my order (cooked softly like I like my bacon), but the Portobello Mushroom Sauce was what sealed the deal with me. It was this amazing concoction of the mushrooms, garlic, fresh herb, balsamic, wine (..red, I believe), and an unthinkable amount of freshly ground black peppercorns that really worked, and played a perfect amount of heat that snuck up on me halfway through the meal. *I was surprised by it, and it made me happier. I didn't detect it in the beginning, probably because so many other good things going on in my mouth, and because pepper is the "slow creeper" of all spices for me. When it finally hit my pallet, it was a nice, friendly, immediate heat that was front and center of all the other goodness going on. And with each bite afterwards, the heat became more and more intense, but kept its friendliness and wasn't at all overpowering. It was amazing. It was a good time. The best pork tenderloin I ever had.

At times, their un-attentiveness has embarrassed me when taking clients there like today. I can't afford to make a bad impression, so will stick to coming here only with locals. I love Cajun food, and Harry's does a good job. Happy hour was buy one get one, for anything at the bar... ANYTHING! So I downed a couple of Macallan 18's with a large grin. I was a bit upset that they had run out of she crab soup, but the spinach and clam chowder was quite tasty. We placed our dinner orders and the food did not take too long to get, even though it was pretty busy there. My order was for the Cajun sampler platter, which included some gumbo, etouffee and jambalaya. All of them were good, but not outstanding. I would absolutely go back, as nothing was bad, especially the happy hour!!!

They don't take reservations which means on a Saturday night you can wait for 30-45 minutes. They say they have a call ahead program, and we did, and we still waited about 40 minutes. The five young ladies and the manager stand behind the hostess stand and seem baffled by the challenge of putting customers at tables. The bar is large and crowded with a mix of ages but tending towards young professionals. Once seated at one of several open tables, the waiter quickly took our drink orders. The menu is large and fairly extensive. Appetizers looked good. The seafood was fresh. The shrimp were slightly underdone but still good. The crab topping on the bland Mahi Crabmeat Almondine was sparse and was unrecognizable as crab. The cheese grits were very good but the portion was small. Other diners appeared to be enjoying their dinner choices. Harry's doesn't have a lot of seafood competition in Tallahassee. Maybe if they did, they'd try just a little harder to make their dining experience just a little better. They've got the potential, they just don't execute very well.

This in my opinion is a 4 star in Tallahassee, FL, if I were to place this restaurant in DC or San Francisco, CA or Dallas, TX, it would drop a star to a 3. Food: The food is good once they heat it up in the microwave! Ordered the seafood gumbo and it arrived cool to the touch, and cool to my lips. When I request the soup she grudgingly took it and said to me, you want it heated? Duh! I want cold soup at the restaurant?!? The crabmeat stuffed shrimp were plenty and good. Hubby had steak, it was well prepared about about 14oz. Service: Could be better. There wasn't any enthusiasm at all, like "I am not here to be of service to you, but to get a paycheck to pay my rent" Host: Comparable to similar restaurants.

While showing my 6 year old grandson around the state capital and the flavor of the old south, we happened upon Harry's. It is conveniently located right at the top of the elevator of the Kleiman Plaza parking garage and surrounded by interesting touristy spots, like the Challenger Learning Center, and the Museum of Arts and Science. However, it is not a typical touristy, children's restaurant. It is an upscale, polished New Orleans Style Restaurant. Most of the entree items are priced around $15-30, but well worth it. After seeing live alligators at a nearby state park, Joey was into eating gator and Harry's deep fried Croc de Jacque was tender and succulent. I went for the pecan crusted catfish with a crawfish sauce which was the optimal complement! If there had been room for Lagniappe, the waitress highly recommended the rich, chocolate, custard style bread pudding drenched in a white chocolate bourbon sauce--a helping made for sharing. NEXT TIME! And there will be a next time. I brought a copy of the menu home with me and I have my mind already made up for my next visit.

This place is absolutely amazing! I've been here over ten times in the past year and 1/2. The food is amazing and plentiful. I have never been able to finish an entire dish. Get this, you don't feel ripped off after leaving this restaurant. I feel like each time I go here, I get the most value for my money. I absolutely love this place and it never disappoints me. Harry's is the closest restaurant to an authentic New Orleans dining experience. As far as food goes, everything on the menu is great. My favorite dish here is the Pasta Chicken Louisianne and the menu calls for it either blacken (my favorite) or grilled. Once again, never a let down. On a side note, I've been here on multiple occasions where I only order sides and even those are amazing. They have this grit cake and it is the best I've ever had (even better than when I visited New Orleans). All in all, I am a frequent flyer here and it is well worth it!

We stopped in Tallahassee for lunch on our way to Tampa and found Harry's. I'm in love. They serve the best jambalaya I've had in ages. We searched Yelp for some seafood restaurants in Tallahassee and decided upon Harry's. What a treat! The service was excellent, atmosphere casual but very nice, and the food was exceptional. The food was also well priced compared to a very similar restaurant chain in our hometown. We liked it so much we dined there three nights in a row. Tuesday all apps are $7 and drinks are on special all day. I recommend the Jazzy Trio appetizer with the blackened crab encrusted redfish over corn succotash and smashed potatoes.

I love the atmosphere here, it feels like a huge dining room. The bread is fantastic and they have plenty of drinks. I got the classic burger and it was perfect. My friend got the beans and rice and she said it was great. The prices are a bit higher but its worth the money. This place is good for parties, kids, and date nights. So its a well-rounded restaurant. The staff is wonderful and they do have patio seating. I highly recommend making a reservation because it can get crowded.

I was really looking forward to eating at Harry's based on the recommendation of a co worker, and of course, the reviews posted on Yelp. Sadly, I was very disappointed. Perhaps it was the time of day; maybe because I ordered it "to go"... Either way, I will not return. Let me begin by saying that trying to find this place is virtually impossible if you don't live in Tallahassee! The one way streets, the confused GPS, it's location tucked away in a courtyard above a parking garage, you name it! Finally I found a road and parked along its' side facing the "right way" as it was a one way street. I hiked across two streets to reach the destination. I was determined at this point that I would eat here! I ordered my food "to go" and it was waiting at the counter when I arrived. I ordered the Blackened Mahi Mahi with a side of the Corn Grits as my main dish, and based on the reviews I read, I ordered the Bread Pudding for dessert. The total came to about $25. Mind you, this was lunchtime. The Mahi Mahi was nothing like described on the menu. There was no "lemon cream sauce" on the filet. There was, however, what appeared to be an "already squeezed" lemon slice on the side. Yuck! The fish did not taste fresh and was tough. The grits were very sticky and heavy. I was disappointed. I will say, the Bread Pudding was very rich and delicious although they forgot what I consider to be the best part - they forgot to give me the vanilla ice cream! Instead, on the side, there was a container filled with what they refer to as their "white chocolate bourbon sauce". It tasted nothing like chocolate or bourbon! I tossed it! I guess my advice to those considering visiting Harry's is ether, "don't get your meal to go", or "if you do get it to go, make sure you check to make sure they include everything you paid for!!!!"

Along with a handful of other joints, Harry's is an established meeting point for the "seen & be seen" set - be they politicos or local movers/shakers. Everything is in its favor to be so: location, decor, food/bev lineup, and that certain je ne sais quoi. The menu provides a solid seafood lineup which I tend to favor. Chefs know their business and plating/presentation is always thoughtful. The She-Crab chowder is very good. Generally, lunch portions are liberal and the price points are unexpectedly reasonable given the atmosphere. A very good blackened mahi mahi with sides come to $13. It's the portion other places might refer to as "dinner portion". The calamari appetizer is lightly breaded/fried along with fried pole beans (or maybe they're green beans). The complementary bread/but is lightly toasted and good.

I was in Talahassee for work and Harry's was right by my hotel. Living in Houston and spending my summers as a kid in southern Louisiana I have a high bar for Cajun food. This place as ok. A-OK I dined at Harry's with a big group of 18 guys and we all had different experiences. A-OK is about the best way to describe everyone's meal that night. The food was good. Everything was just packed with flavor, borderline over seasoned. I got a large order of the mussels and those were pretty tasty. Although, the mussels did have a bit of a pasty consistency after a few chews. Frozen? I'm not sure. Best part of this appetizer was the sauce, everyone kept dipping the bread in the sauce. My she-crab soup was too sweet. I was hoping for more of that "she-crab" flavor. The cup portion of soup was generous and filling. My entree, crab crusted red fish was good and rich in flavor. The service was not as bad as you would expect for a table of 18. The only thing some complained about was water not being filled enough, everything else was good. Next time when I visit Tallahassee I would come back to give Harry's another shot. Just with a smaller party.

Can I give it an additional half star to make it 4.5? I came here with my parents while visiting them in Tallahassee. Happy hour had $3 pints so I enjoyed a couple of Fat Tires. My parents are both from New Orleans and most always turn their noses up at NO themed restaurants outside of the Crescent City. This restauarant however, they continue to return to. Tonight I had the sampler which was gumbo, jambalaya and blackened redfish. It was a lot of food but I ate it all along with the complimentary french bread. I'll suggest Harry's on future trips to Tallahassee.

Great restaurant in tally. We stayed nearby and the hotel personnel recommended it to us. Great food, great ambiance, great price. We sat at the bar and had our meal. Everything we are was good. The corn grits were amazing and spicy. The fried green tomatoes are a must. Try and leave room for the deep fried Oreo dessert it's worth it. This is a hint of New Orleans in Tallahassee. Yes, I know, it's a chain. But this is a place that has served up great memories for me over the years, as well as good food and excellent service. My husband and I went to Harry's and had drinks on the deck on our first date for sunset, and it was on the same back deck that we held the rehearsal dinner for our wedding. If you go, I highly recommend gorging yourself on bread, followed by crab cakes and a house drink. Their drinks are potent but delicious. Family-friendly atmosphere and great location.

I love Harry's! I was back in town for Homecoming and decided to try out one of my long time favorite places, Harry's!!! This place is very famous for their crab cakes. Not much filler, mostly all crab meat. Great flavor with a nice crispy outside. So good. I don't think you can go wrong here with any of their seafood dishes. I love all their sides (including the collard greens, mashed potatoes and red beans and rice). My favorite entree is the stuffed shrimp. Not to mention, I think the prices are pretty reasonable along with the portion sizes. The location for this Harry's is also very convienent. Right smack in the middle of downtown Tallahassee.

I was pleasantly surprised by Harry's. I came in the other night with my coworkers and wasn't expecting a whole lot, but I'm glad we ended up choosing to eat here. I ordered the chicken Baton Rouge and it was SO good. Like sort of mind-blowingly good. The creamy red sauce and the soft goat cheese blended into a symphony of deliciousness that I am still craving to this day. I also got a side of collard greens and they were among some of the best collard greens I've ever tasted. They had sausage in them and the portion was perfect. We got the bread pudding for dessert, which was tasty and decadent so I didn't have a ton but it was good nonetheless. I will say service here was horribly slow and I was here for well over two hours but I didn't mind that much since I was here with work people and the conversation was flowing. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area. That chicken is something I have never had and will probably dream about from now on!

Everyone I know LOVES Harry's. They didn't get 5 stars from me because I guess I've been ordering the wrong thing every time. Now, don't get me wrong. The food is good, and the service is always more than accommodating. However, every time I've gone I've left underwhelmed (with the food) due to how completely HEAVY every dish I've ordered has been. Perhaps I've ordered items that were just entirely too rich. I've had the Crab Crusted Redfish Royale and the Baked Stuffed Shrimp. Both were great for the first couple of bites, but by the end of the meal, I've felt like a whale. I think next time I'll try something not smothered in cream sauce or butter and will likely be happier about my meal choice. I will say, though, that the collard greens are amazing, and that everyone I've ever eaten with at Harry's has been very happy with their plate. Totally worth a third try.

We were in Tallahassee checking out FSU with our daughter and decided to give Harry's a try for lunch after we toured the campus. I've read one review that mentioned that it is not easy to find this place. I agree but keep in mind all navigation systems are not alike and the area where Harry's is located is all one-way streets. Here's the important info. You should park in the Kleman Plaza parking garage on S. Bronough St. You then take the elevator up to the Plaza level and you'll find Harry's. Now to the good part - the food. It was awesome! I had the blackened red fish and added the blue crab crusting for an additional $2.99. The fish was moist and the crab crusting was the perfect compliment to the spiciness of the fish. I paired it with some red beans and rice as well as a healthy dose of Harry's hot sauce and I was in N'Orleans heaven. My wife tried the grilled Mahi sandwich. It was good but the fish was a bit overdone. It comes with lettuce, tomato and onion but no sauce at all. My wife asked for some tartar sauce which made for a better sandwich. Just a suggestion but serve the sandwich with at least some tartar sauce otherwise it is very plain. The sweet corn grits that she had on the side were some of the best grits we have all had - the real star of day for my wife. My daughter had the blackened fish tacos and fries which she really enjoyed. Even though we were pretty full we decided to check out the Oreo beignets as well as the Peach cobbler (on special) for dessert. The Oreo beignets were so good! The cobbler was hot, flavorful and topped with vanilla cinnamon ice cream. Too much for us to finish but glad we decided to order them. Our server, Ellen P, was fantastic. She answered all of our questions and made some nice suggestions as well as providing top-notch service. Thanks Ellen and Harry's for a truly wonderful dining experience. Our daughter plans on attending FSU so you can be sure Harry's will be our go to restaurant when in Tallahassee.

I came to Tallahassee on a business trip and was told to try Harry's. Service: Great! Concepts: Amazing! Execution: Eh. Let me explain...everything was salty! Ok, quicker explanation than expected. The She Crab soup and Louisiana Fondeaux were super salty. The fish in the Crab Crusted Red Fish Royale was overly seasoned when the rest of the dish was bursting with flavors. We were back at Harry's for a birthday celebration recently and I decided to switch things up. This time I ordered the French Baked Scallops. This was a delicious and deadly concoction of parmesan cheese and cream poured over the scallops, which were then baked. It was wonderful, and the scallops were cooked just right to the point of being done, and were not tough. I had the steamed vegetables as my side, and they were fresh seasonal vegetables. They arrived slightly al dente, and perfectly done. The Boy had his redfish with a corn choux and he was happy wth his meal. Once again, very little noise came from his part of the table aside from munching sounds. We also sampled the seafood dip and the hot crusty bread. For dessert, everyone shared one of the deadly oreo beignets. I was apalled at the concept initially, but I took a bite. One bite turned into two, and before I knew it I had consumed one of the ball-shaped things. The dough was crisp on the outside, tender inside, and had an oreo in it, but was not overly sweet. However, it was not a "light" dessert. Four of us shared the dish and it was more than enough.

Awesome! We are from Dallas Texas and we frequent Pappadeaux's there. Harry's reminds us of Pappadeaux's very much -- except the prices are soooo much more reasonable and the taste superb! I had the Catfish Pontchartrain and it was excellent, and my husband had the Redfish! We both loved our entrees. As my husband is a Cajun from South Louisiana and a food "snob", I excepted a friendly criticism from him, but he too thought it was excellent. It was a particularly pleasant evening and we sat outside and it was lovely. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend - enjoy!

Our group of 8 was seated quickly on Mother's Day at about 1:00 pm. We had great outdoor seating on the balcony with lot of space between tables and a shaded view of FSU. The menu was their dinner menu with a good balance of entrees. One of there is choices of dinner add-ons was cole slaw. It was outstanding...chopped finely and lightly creamed. We complimented the manager on the slaw and he said it was the owner's mother's personal recipe. Try it along with your tasty entree.

I love Harry's. I've never had a meal that wasn't great. The fried green tomatoes and crab cakes are the bomb. So are the hurricanes. I usually got jambalaya but blackened shells with Louisiana sauce. The salmon and steak were good too. And the crab crusted redfish. I think it's quality food for Tallahassee. It isn't the same exact style as typical New Orleans dishes but it has NOLA flair infused with it. A creative interpretation of the traditional dishes. If your food wasn't good, you didn't order the right thing ;).

Definitely one of the finer restaurants in the area. We had a fairly large group so we made a reservation and I was ever so excited that they let us bring our own bottle's of wine for a small corkage fee. The lovely hostess sat us in a private room towards the back of the restaurant. It was fabulous because we were loud just enjoying good company and food. Our waitress came over and she was a Delta Zeta like our daughter so score we knew we would have fantastic service! Wish I could remember her name she was spectacular. The bread came out with a garlic butter, OMG it was that good. We ordered several apps, which were wonderful. The inside decor is dark and an old feel to it with a sophisticated vibe. Prices to me were very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. I ordered a blackened Grouper topped with crab meat. The fish was so fresh, grilled to a tasty delight with hints of butter and lemon with great seasoning. We were a group of 12 people and every single one of us enjoyed our meal very much. Highly recommend for a nice dinner. Superb Service, can't wait to go back on my next visit.

In case anyone gets confused, yes, I am allergic to shellfish. BUT! who says no when a friend says, I have a coupon let's go to dinner. It's a SEAFOOD bar and grill so they have to serve fish there. I have to say I was really impressed with the atmosphere, I mean, yes I am a habitual regular at all of the quick and easy college restaurants around twon but every now and again you ahve to change into your fancy clothes and go out for a civilized meal. My dinner partner is a Harry's regular so she knew what was good to order, of course not being allergic to shellfish she had their Po' boy and says that it is the best one in town. As far as their selection of fish and sides go I was very excited, good choices and a lot of variety. I had the salmon just to go and start with something familiar. Best salmon I've ever had, period. I for sure am going to be updating this review and trying something more adventerous next time. As far as teh service goes, my waitress was great but the bus boys could use a little wake up coffee or something. It was only 8 pm when we got there and they weren't really understanding that yes, I would like my plates to be cleared.

We ate at Harry's on a Sunday afternoon and were seated immediately. I started with a cup of gumbo which was my preference style of beef broth, finely chopped ingredients, and a spoonful of rice on top. It was thick, just the right amount of heat and some of the best I've ever had. For an entree I had the rice jambalaya and my wife had the shrimp and grits. The jambalaya was moist without being mushy and each meat was firm and fresh. It had a medium amount of heat. however I found the bottled hot sauce on the table to be too tomatoey and dull the taste of the jambalaya. My wife said the shrimp and grits were well done and fresh. The service was decent but they were slow on drink refills. Overall I can highly recommend Harry's as an excellent place for Cajun or Creole cooking.

We decided to try Harry's as we were looking for a nice place to eat while visiting our daughter at FSU. We did the "call ahead" which cut our wait time at the restaurant down to 15 minutes. We are from Houston, so we are used to some of the "cajun" dishes that were on the menu. We ordered the shrimp scampi, jumbalaya and crawfish etouffee. They were all good, but not great. The crawfish étouffée was not even close to the great étouffée dishes we have had in Houston or New Orleans. However the excellent service and truly outrageous bread pudding we had for desert made up for the meals.

Really excellent food. Authentic? Probably not, I've never been to New Orleans. My favorites are the Ahi Tuna Salad, the Evangeline Pasta (scallops with white wine and red pepper butter sauce, oh man), and the Chocolate Bread Pudding. I've tried this place several times and the food is OK on a good day. The setting is great for birthday dinners or late lunches, but there's better food in every direction downtown. Another cause for my poor review - they lost my reservation. My roommate was going out of country to Japan for the summer so I called earlier in the day to make reservations for 7. I get there at 6 to make sure everything is ok (they say "YEAH"... just make sure at least 1/2 of the party is here by that time (we had a party of 8)). At 7p five members were there...we were not seated til 8 and had almost a 15min wait before we were offered drinks. I ordered Crabmeat & Eggplant Napoleon (which had almost no crabmeat but was still well made) followed by a Grilled Chicken Baton Rouge that was dry. I probably won't try again. I've wasted enough money here.

This was one of my first tastes of canjun creole food. As a native New Yorker who lived outside the city, I never really had the opportunity to have good canjun creole food. So, I am no expert on this type of food but Harry's was a very god start in my humble opinion. The food was pretty good and I am very hard to please when it comes to seafood. Also the atmosphere is very nice but still casual and the service is good as well. An overall good experience for me at least and one I would recomend to anyone in Tallahassee looking for good seafood or creole food at a very reasonable price

I've had to travel to Tallahassee a few times for work and tried Harry's a couple of times. Both times i ordered the crawfish etouffee and enjoyed it. Not much Cajun options by me so i was excited to get some here. It wasn't the best i had but it hit the spot. My co-worker ordered some crab cakes there and did not like it at all, he didn't even finish it. So my take is Harry's can be a hit or miss place, and the dishes are a bit on the moderate side. But the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was trendy, so overall i'd give it a positive experience.

Wonderful experience! If you're a wine drinker, go on mondays when they have 1/2 price bottles and an extensive list to choose from. The bleu martini was delicious ! Wednesdays are half price martinis! They have a very comfy upscale bar area and patio dining. Our waitress was the best I've seen in quite a while and I'm sorry I can't remember her name! Had the napoleon crab and eggplants appetizer which won a 2009 award and I now know why. It was enough for am entree and compliments of flavor galore. My fav place in Tallahassee so far. Dinner for 2 with martinis will run you about $70 and is definitely worth it.

This is the best Tallahassee seafood restaurant I've been to thus far (although I will admit that other than sushi, I've been to Red Lobster and Barnacle Bill's, so my experience is limited). I went here with my boyfriend and two of our friends on a Saturday night. They do not take reservations (or so they said on this particular trip), but we did not have to wait long. They initially told us twenty to twenty-five minutes, but it only took about ten. I would suggest calling ahead and putting your name on the list if you think it will be a busy night. I had the sugar cane shrimp and scallops with mashed potatoes, which looked nothing like the picture (they said it would be on a sugar cane skewer, but it looked as though it was never skewered at all) but was still pretty good. It didn't have much of a flavor to it, so I dipped the pieces of fish in the sweet sauce that came with it. My friend had the salmon, which was burned on the bottom because of the skin. The skin was impossible to remove, so she had to pick at it a bit since the skin was too charred to consume. Our other friend seemed to enjoy his steak. We also had the clam chowder as an appetizer, which was good but very thin. The service was fine. Nothing too remarkable, but acceptable. I really liked the atmosphere and location. As you walk into the restaurant, there is a glass dome above you that is really pretty. Overall, with tip, the meal cost about $70 for me and my boyfriend.

Just driving through...our last stop was actually NOLA. This place has excellent cajun food, great big portion sizes and wonderful . The Gumbo and She Crab bisque were both heavenly. I highly recommend the Evangeline pasta, and also the Jambalaya...my husband ordered it, and both dishes balanced each other out...with their very different blends of spices and "heat"...we shared. Around the campus side of town Harry's is one of the nicest restaurants by far. It's casual yet elegant. A great place to take a date. Speaking of which, they have great deals on drinks if you go at the right time. Definitely visit the facebook page ( facebook.com/harrys.tall… ) before you go so you can check out the drink specials and plan your visit accordingly (happy hour, half-off bottled wine on Mondays, all day happy hour on Tuesday, etc.) Harry's is a very well realized concept of upscale cajun New Orleans cuisine. The calamari is among the best I've had, served with fried green beans and remoulade sauce. I get it every time I go and it still impresses me. Last time I went, I got the redfish topped with crab and I can highly recommend it if that sounds like it might be your flavor. I see some complaints of bad service in other reviews. I don't know if these people were expecting fine dining service or just were unlucky, but the servers I've had have always been friendly and hospitable. If you like cajun flavor or seafood in general, you have to try Harry's.

The Harry's hot sauce is a welcome addition to it. For my entree I had the Blue Crab Crusted Redfsh, which is actually a redfish WITH A WHOLE CRAB CAKE ON TOP! The dish was flawless, I smeared the crab cake on top and went to town....As a side I got the fried grit cakes with a tasso cream sauce, and was nothing short of amazed..... The atmosphere here is lovely, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. One of the better meals I've had in this town.

The restaurant setting is great. The service is great. The food isn't anything to go back .. It makes sense that it is supposed to be on the pricey side but it is also the only restaurant in Tallahassee where you have to pay for parking.

So I've eaten at Harry's a few times for their seafood. But last night I decided to try their Pork Tenderloin Medallions and Portobello Mushroom Sauce, and I was completely blown away by it. The tenderloin was seared perfectly and cooked to my order (cooked softly like I like my bacon), but the Portobello Mushroom Sauce was what sealed the deal with me. It was this amazing concoction of the mushrooms, garlic, fresh herb, balsamic, wine (..red, I believe), and an unthinkable amount of freshly ground black peppercorns that really worked, and played a perfect amount of heat that snuck up on me halfway through the meal. *I was surprised by it, and it made me happier. I didn't detect it in the beginning, probably because so many other good things going on in my mouth, and because pepper is the "slow creeper" of all spices for me. When it finally hit my pallet, it was a nice, friendly, immediate heat that was front and center of all the other goodness going on. And with each bite afterwards, the heat became more and more intense, but kept its friendliness and wasn't at all overpowering. It was amazing. It was a good time. The best pork tenderloin I ever had.

I live in the area, have been to Harry's on numerous occasions. The service is just par. Unfortunately, I've rarely had a waiter or waitress that really is very happy to be working. At times, their un-attentiveness has embarrassed me when taking clients there like today. I can't afford to make a bad impression, so will stick to coming here only with locals. On the upside, I like most of the food.

I love Cajun food, and Harry's does a good job. Happy hour was buy one get one, for anything at the bar... ANYTHING! So I downed a couple of Macallan 18's with a large grin. I was a bit upset that they had run out of she crab soup, but the spinach and clam chowder was quite tasty. We placed our dinner orders and the food did not take too long to get, even though it was pretty busy there. My order was for the Cajun sampler platter, which included some gumbo, etouffee and jambalaya. All of them were good, but not outstanding. I would absolutely go back, as nothing was bad, especially the happy hour!!!

They don't take reservations which means on a Saturday night you can wait for 30-45 minutes. They say they have a call ahead program, and we did, and we still waited about 40 minutes. The five young ladies and the manager stand behind the hostess stand and seem baffled by the challenge of putting customers at tables. The bar is large and crowded with a mix of ages but tending towards young professionals. Once seated at one of several open tables, the waiter quickly took our drink orders. The menu is large and fairly extensive. Appetizers looked good. The seafood was fresh. The shrimp were slightly underdone but still good. The crab topping on the bland Mahi Crabmeat Almondine was sparse and was unrecognizable as crab. The cheese grits were very good but the portion was small. Other diners appeared to be enjoying their dinner choices. Harry's doesn't have a lot of seafood competition in Tallahassee. Maybe if they did, they'd try just a little harder to make their dining experience just a little better. They've got the potential, they just don't execute very well.

For me a restaurant review is first the food, then the service, and last but not least the host/hostess. Everything is relative. This in my opinion is a 4 star in Tallahassee, FL, if I were to place this restaurant in DC or San Francisco, CA or Dallas, TX, it would drop a star to a 3. Food: The food is good once they heat it up in the microwave! Ordered the seafood gumbo and it arrived cool to the touch, and cool to my lips. When I request the soup she grudgingly took it and said to me, you want it heated? Duh! I want cold soup at the restaurant?!? The crabmeat stuffed shrimp were plenty and good. Hubby had steak, it was well prepared about about 14oz. Service: Could be better. There wasn't any enthusiasm at all, like "I am not here to be of service to you, but to get a paycheck to pay my rent" Host: Comparable to similar restaurants.

While showing my 6 year old grandson around the state capital and the flavor of the old south, we happened upon Harry's. It is conveniently located right at the top of the elevator of the Kleiman Plaza parking garage and surrounded by interesting touristy spots, like the Challenger Learning Center, and the Museum of Arts and Science. However, it is not a typical touristy, children's restaurant. It is an upscale, polished New Orleans Style Restaurant. Most of the entree items are priced around $15-30, but well worth it. After seeing live alligators at a nearby state park, Joey was into eating gator and Harry's deep fried Croc de Jacque was tender and succulent. I went for the pecan crusted catfish with a crawfish sauce which was the optimal complement! If there had been room for Lagniappe, the waitress highly recommended the rich, chocolate, custard style bread pudding drenched in a white chocolate bourbon sauce--a helping made for sharing. NEXT TIME! And there will be a next time. I brought a copy of the menu home with me and I have my mind already made up for my next visit.

Guess Harry never made it to the Big Easy. This "New Orleans" style eatery got no style, at least none that calls to mind the great eats found south of Lake Pontchartrain. You could hang in the bar for a while and enjoy a few drinks, but venture any further and you'll be disappointed.

This was quite possibly the best food I've ever had in my life. The wait was well worth it. I had the Red Fish topped with Blue Crab Meat. Sooooo good. Even the leftovers were good! The Mississippi Mud-Tini was awesome... Tasted just like Chocolate. I also tried the Jumbo Shrimp Stuffed with Jumbo Lump Crab meat - Also excellent. This place is absolutely amazing! I've been here over ten times in the past year and 1/2. The food is amazing and plentiful. I have never been able to finish an entire dish. Get this, you don't feel ripped off after leaving this restaurant. I feel like each time I go here, I get the most value for my money. I can feed me and my girlfriend, have leftovers, go for dessert and still have money left to spend on additional entertainment for the night. I absolutely love this place and it never disappoints me. Harry's is the closest restaurant to an authentic New Orleans dining experience. As far as food goes, everything on the menu is great. My favorite dish here is the Pasta Chicken Louisianne and the menu calls for it either blacken (my favorite) or grilled. Once again, never a let down. On a side note, I've been here on multiple occasions where I only order sides and even those are amazing. They have this grit cake and it is the best I've ever had (even better than when I visited New Orleans). All in all, I am a frequent flyer here and it is well worth it!

We stopped in Tallahassee for lunch on our way to Tampa and found Harry's. I'm in love. They serve the best jambalaya I've had in ages. Our waitress was super nice and friendly, helpful and patient, as my four year old insisting in ordering himself. Our lunch was reasonable priced, for four people without alcohol or desserts. The restaurant is in a very nice area of downtown. We'll definitely check this place out again, when we come to Tallahassee.

We searched Yelp for some seafood restaurants in Tallahassee and decided upon Harry's. What a treat! The service was excellent, atmosphere casual but very nice, and the food was exceptional. The food was also well priced compared to a very similar restaurant chain in our hometown. We liked it so much we dined there three nights in a row. Tuesday all apps are $7 and drinks are on special all day. I recommend the Jazzy Trio appetizer with the blackened crab encrusted redfish over corn succotash and smashed potatoes.

I love the atmosphere here, it feels like a huge dining room. The bread is fantastic and they have plenty of drinks. I got the classic burger and it was perfect. My friend got the beans and rice and she said it was great. The prices are a bit higher but its worth the money. This place is good for parties, kids, and date nights. So its a well-rounded restaurant. The staff is wonderful and they do have patio seating. I highly recommend making a reservation because it can get crowded.

I was really looking forward to eating at Harry's based on the recommendation of a co worker, and of course, the reviews posted on Yelp. Sadly, I was very disappointed. Perhaps it was the time of day; maybe because I ordered it "to go"... Either way, I will not return. Let me begin by saying that trying to find this place is virtually impossible if you don't live in Tallahassee! The one way streets, the confused GPS, it's location tucked away in a courtyard above a parking garage, you name it! Finally I found a road and parked along its' side facing the "right way" as it was a one way street. I hiked across two streets to reach the destination. I was determined at this point that I would eat here! I ordered my food "to go" and it was waiting at the counter when I arrived. I ordered the Blackened Mahi Mahi with a side of the Corn Grits as my main dish, and based on the reviews I read, I ordered the Bread Pudding for dessert. The total came to about $25. Mind you, this was lunchtime. The Mahi Mahi was nothing like described on the menu. There was no "lemon cream sauce" on the filet. There was, however, what appeared to be an "already squeezed" lemon slice on the side. Yuck! The fish did not taste fresh and was tough. The grits were very sticky and heavy. I was disappointed. I will say, the Bread Pudding was very rich and delicious although they forgot what I consider to be the best part - they forgot to give me the vanilla ice cream! Instead, on the side, there was a container filled with what they refer to as their "white chocolate bourbon sauce". It tasted nothing like chocolate or bourbon! I tossed it! I guess my advice to those considering visiting Harry's is ether, "don't get your meal to go", or "if you do get it to go, make sure you check to make sure they include everything you paid for!!!!"

Along with a handful of other joints, Harry's is an established meeting point for the "seen & be seen" set - be they politicos or local movers/shakers. Everything is in its favor to be so: location, decor, food/bev lineup, and that certain je ne sais quoi. The menu provides a solid seafood lineup which I tend to favor. Chefs know their business and plating/presentation is always thoughtful. The She-Crab chowder is very good. Generally, lunch portions are liberal and the price points are unexpectedly reasonable given the atmosphere. A very good blackened mahi mahi with sides come to $13. It's the portion other places might refer to as "dinner portion". The calamari appetizer is lightly breaded/fried along with fried pole beans (or maybe they're green beans). The complementary bread/but is lightly toasted and good.

A Tallahassee favorite I love the bourbon glazed salmon. Great for groups they have a outside patio great bar selection. One of my favorite drink is the big easy i add pomegranate. Staff is friendly.

I was in Talahassee for work and Harry's was right by my hotel. Living in Houston and spending my summers as a kid in southern Louisiana I have a high bar for Cajun food. This place as ok. I had the stuff shrimp and it was decent. The sauce has a lot of Cajun flavor- which is salt and butter lol. The red beans and rice need some work. Not a lot of flavor at all. The serice was awesome. Our waiter was quick and friendly. And pretty easy on the eyes;)

A-OK I dined at Harry's with a big group of 18 guys and we all had different experiences. A-OK is about the best way to describe everyone's meal that night. The food was good. Everything was just packed with flavor, borderline over seasoned. I got a large order of the mussels and those were pretty tasty. Although, the mussels did have a bit of a pasty consistency after a few chews. Frozen? I'm not sure. Best part of this appetizer was the sauce, everyone kept dipping the bread in the sauce. My she-crab soup was too sweet. I was hoping for more of that "she-crab" flavor. The cup portion of soup was generous and filling. My entree, crab crusted red fish was good and rich in flavor. The service was not as bad as you would expect for a table of 18. The only thing some complained about was water not being filled enough, everything else was good. Next time when I visit Tallahassee I would come back to give Harry's another shot. Just with a smaller party.

Can I give it an additional half star to make it 4.5? I came here with my parents while visiting them in Tallahassee. Happy hour had $3 pints so I enjoyed a couple of Fat Tires. My parents are both from New Orleans and most always turn their noses up at NO themed restaurants outside of the Crescent City. This restauarant however, they continue to return to. Tonight I had the sampler which was gumbo, jambalaya and blackened redfish. It was a lot of food but I ate it all along with the complimentary french bread. I'll suggest Harry's on future trips to Tallahassee.

Great restaurant in tally. We stayed nearby and the hotel personnel recommended it to us. Great food, great ambiance, great price. We sat at the bar and had our meal. Everything we are was good. The corn grits were amazing and spicy. The fried green tomatoes are a must. Try and leave room for the deep fried Oreo dessert it's worth it. This is a hint of New Orleans in Tallahassee. Yes, I know, it's a chain. But this is a place that has served up great memories for me over the years, as well as good food and excellent service. My husband and I went to Harry's and had drinks on the deck on our first date for sunset, and it was on the same back deck that we held the rehearsal dinner for our wedding. If you go, I highly recommend gorging yourself on bread, followed by crab cakes and a house drink. Their drinks are potent but delicious. Family-friendly atmosphere and great location.

I love Harry's! I was back in town for Homecoming and decided to try out one of my long time favorite places, Harry's!!! This place is very famous for their crab cakes. Not much filler, mostly all crab meat. Great flavor with a nice crispy outside. So good. I don't think you can go wrong here with any of their seafood dishes. I love all their sides (including the collard greens, mashed potatoes and red beans and rice). My favorite entree is the stuffed shrimp. Not to mention, I think the prices are pretty reasonable along with the portion sizes. The location for this Harry's is also very convienent. Right smack in the middle of downtown Tallahassee.

I was pleasantly surprised by Harry's. I came in the other night with my coworkers and wasn't expecting a whole lot, but I'm glad we ended up choosing to eat here. I ordered the chicken Baton Rouge and it was SO good. Like sort of mind-blowingly good. The creamy red sauce and the soft goat cheese blended into a symphony of deliciousness that I am still craving to this day. I also got a side of collard greens and they were among some of the best collard greens I've ever tasted. They had sausage in them and the portion was perfect. We got the bread pudding for dessert, which was tasty and decadent so I didn't have a ton but it was good nonetheless. I will say service here was horribly slow and I was here for well over two hours but I didn't mind that much since I was here with work people and the conversation was flowing. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area. That chicken is something I have never had and will probably dream about from now on!

Everyone I know LOVES Harry's. They didn't get 5 stars from me because I guess I've been ordering the wrong thing every time. Now, don't get me wrong. The food is good, and the service is always more than accommodating. However, every time I've gone I've left underwhelmed (with the food) due to how completely HEAVY every dish I've ordered has been. Perhaps I've ordered items that were just entirely too rich. I've had the Crab Crusted Redfish Royale and the Baked Stuffed Shrimp. Both were great for the first couple of bites, but by the end of the meal, I've felt like a whale. I think next time I'll try something not smothered in cream sauce or butter and will likely be happier about my meal choice. I will say, though, that the collard greens are amazing, and that everyone I've ever eaten with at Harry's has been very happy with their plate. Totally worth a third try.

We were in Tallahassee checking out FSU with our daughter and decided to give Harry's a try for lunch after we toured the campus. I've read one review that mentioned that it is not easy to find this place. I agree but keep in mind all navigation systems are not alike and the area where Harry's is located is all one-way streets. Here's the important info. You should park in the Kleman Plaza parking garage on S. Bronough St. You then take the elevator up to the Plaza level and you'll find Harry's. Now to the good part - the food. It was awesome! I had the blackened red fish and added the blue crab crusting for an additional $2.99. The fish was moist and the crab crusting was the perfect compliment to the spiciness of the fish. I paired it with some red beans and rice as well as a healthy dose of Harry's hot sauce and I was in N'Orleans heaven. My wife tried the grilled Mahi sandwich. It was good but the fish was a bit overdone. It comes with lettuce, tomato and onion but no sauce at all. My wife asked for some tartar sauce which made for a better sandwich. Just a suggestion but serve the sandwich with at least some tartar sauce otherwise it is very plain. The sweet corn grits that she had on the side were some of the best grits we have all had - the real star of day for my wife. My daughter had the blackened fish tacos and fries which she really enjoyed. Even though we were pretty full we decided to check out the Oreo beignets as well as the Peach cobbler (on special) for dessert. The Oreo beignets were so good! The cobbler was hot, flavorful and topped with vanilla cinnamon ice cream. Too much for us to finish but glad we decided to order them. Our server, Ellen P, was fantastic. She answered all of our questions and made some nice suggestions as well as providing top-notch service. Thanks Ellen and Harry's for a truly wonderful dining experience. Our daughter plans on attending FSU so you can be sure Harry's will be our go to restaurant when in Tallahassee.

I came to Tallahassee on a business trip and was told to try Harry's. Service: Great! Concepts: Amazing! Execution: Eh. Let me explain...everything was salty! Ok, quicker explanation than expected. The She Crab soup and Louisiana Fondeaux were super salty. The fish in the Crab Crusted Red Fish Royale was overly seasoned when the rest of the dish was bursting with flavors. On a good note, the Crescent City Cucumber cocktail and Beef Tenderloins were close to perfection.

We were back at Harry's for a birthday celebration recently and I decided to switch things up. This time I ordered the French Baked Scallops. This was a delicious and deadly concoction of parmesan cheese and cream poured over the scallops, which were then baked. It was wonderful, and the scallops were cooked just right to the point of being done, and were not tough. I had the steamed vegetables as my side, and they were fresh seasonal vegetables. They arrived slightly al dente, and perfectly done. The Boy had his redfish with a corn choux and he was happy wth his meal. Once again, very little noise came from his part of the table aside from munching sounds. We also sampled the seafood dip and the hot crusty bread. For dessert, everyone shared one of the deadly oreo beignets. I was apalled at the concept initially, but I took a bite. One bite turned into two, and before I knew it I had consumed one of the ball-shaped things. The dough was crisp on the outside, tender inside, and had an oreo in it, but was not overly sweet. However, it was not a "light" dessert. Four of us shared the dish and it was more than enough.

Awesome! We are from Dallas Texas and we frequent Pappadeaux's there. Harry's reminds us of Pappadeaux's very much -- except the prices are soooo much more reasonable and the taste superb! I had the Catfish Pontchartrain and it was excellent, and my husband had the Redfish! We both loved our entrees. As my husband is a Cajun from South Louisiana and a food "snob", I excepted a friendly criticism from him, but he too thought it was excellent. It was a particularly pleasant evening and we sat outside and it was lovely. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend - enjoy!

Our group of 8 was seated quickly on Mother's Day at about 1:00 pm. We had great outdoor seating on the balcony with lot of space between tables and a shaded view of FSU. The menu was their dinner menu with a good balance of entrees. One of there is choices of dinner add-ons was cole slaw. It was outstanding...chopped finely and lightly creamed. We complimented the manager on the slaw and he said it was the owner's mother's personal recipe. Try it along with your tasty entree.

I love Harry's. I've never had a meal that wasn't great. The fried green tomatoes and crab cakes are the bomb. So are the hurricanes. I usually got jambalaya but blackened shells with Louisiana sauce. The salmon and steak were good too. And the crab crusted redfish. I think it's quality food for Tallahassee. It isn't the same exact style as typical New Orleans dishes but it has NOLA flair infused with it. A creative interpretation of the traditional dishes. If your food wasn't good, you didn't order the right thing ;).
